Recommended by locals we visited Osteria da Nicola few days before Christmas and we enjoyed the dinner there very much. They presented us wide variety of seasonal fish specialties. The food was incredibly good and well designed. I have to mention high standard of the behaviour with the guests, to meet their wishes individually. All the staff was kind, smiling and very natural, typical Italian hearty character. Grazie mille ♥️

I feel compelled to write this review despite never having dined at this establishment, or even tasted their food. The reason being, I've never set foot inside due to the explicit display of fascist symbols and slogans both outside and within the restaurant. It's baffling and deeply concerning that this place continues to operate unchallenged, with customers, both local and international, seemingly turning a blind eye to such blatant endorsement of a dark, oppressive chapter in history. This situation is akin to encountering a restaurant in Germany brandishing images of Hitler; it's unthinkable and utterly unacceptable. The proprietors' choice to decorate their establishment in this manner is not only in poor taste but also raises questions about the social and moral standards we, as a community, are willing to accept. I refuse to patronize or support any business that glorifies such a heinous period and its ideologies, and I am appalled that it exists in this day and age. Customers should consider the ethical implications of supporting such an establishment.

I still feel very weird about our visit in this restaurant. The food was definitely not worth the money. Fish was plain and tasteless and ravioli wasn’t great neither. For half the money you can get significantly better food outside of Chioggia. The staff looked like they can’t be bothered. Definitely the worst dinner we had in Italy.

The food menu is limited which shows sophistication and allows the food to be the best it can be. The extensive wine cellar is impressive with many quality wines available at prices to be expected. The spider crab spaghetti was unbelievable, the tuna steak was immense. I know I sound a bit gushy in this review but it was genuinely one of the best meals I've eaten, not only in Italy but anywhere. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
