Museums
The Museo Archeologico "Ferruccio Barreca" - MAB Sant'Antioco Sardegna may be small in size but it boasts a wealth of historical artifacts and information. Visitors can combine their visit with other archaeological sites such as Tophet, Necropolis, Acropolis, Ipogeo and Vine Museum. The staff provides a brief introduction (in Italian) and share intriguing details about the area's rich history.
Very clean and nice building. Only few people visits so it is quiet.

It's a small museum, but it has a lot of history to tell! We combined the visit with the other archaeological sites (Tophet, Necropolis, Acropolis, Ipogeo, Vine Museum). The staff did a brief introduction (in Italian) and explain us a lot of interesting things about Sant'Antioco and its archaeological finds. We didn't have a lot of time to see every detail, but you can spend here a couple of hours to learn the history of the island.

Very good regional archeiligical museum with many information about local ancient history. The phoenician tophet is a part of the museum.
Vladimíra Šilhánková — Google review
One would not expect much from an almost unknown museum in such a small town. Hence we had a great surprise with this nicely set up museum, where, among other things, one can observe a stunning amount of Phoenician vases and ornaments and a wonderful couple of lions that make a link with the art of Assyrian and Babylonian civilizations that you can admire in the British Museum, depicting the Mediterranean as a great cultural bridge already 3 millenia ago. The museum attendant was also friendly and helpful. Texts are available in Italian and English. There is also an audio-guide but we did not use it.
Davide Sabbadin — Google review
Rich Indoors exhibition of local archeology. Mostly 9th century and on, lots of finds from Phonecian period, including jewelry, inscriptions in ancient Hebrew/Phoenician letters, temple/cemetery of children and sacrificial tombs. Unique.
avi cohen — Google review
Great museum, does a great job of explaining the exciting settlement history of Sulki aka Sant'Antioco, spanning nuragic, phoenician, punic, roman and post-roman history. The content displays are insightful, the artefacts are well contextualized and there are also nice visuals of the town in the different stages of its history. Even the kids weren't bored, which says a lot for a museum
Dirk Stascheit — Google review
Small and very rich archeological museum. Exhibits from prehistoric periods until classical Rome. Emphasis on Phoenician and Punician settlements in Sardinia. Very interesting. Near the "Tophet", where children were sacrificed according to Paganic beliefs. Wow!

What an experience! You learn a lot and more! Let Chiara Vigo transport you into the magic world of bisso, and you will not regret it! One of those once-in-a-lifetime experience that when you are old you will be able to tell your grandchildren:"I was there!"
Sabrina Ardizzoni — Google review
Sant'antioco has a site perhaps not really known to everyone. Indeed, perhaps we should speak of an alchemical laboratory. It is the Bisso museum. A bivalve, which lives in the depths of the surrounding sea, who gives to the skilled hands of Chiara, grandmother of two splendid grandchildren, what is necessary to be alchemically transformed into a kind of silk, which shines like gold in the sunlight. Putting into practice the hermetic principle: "everything that is in the alto is a mirror image of what is below". As Chiara told us as a child she took the oath of water to her grandmother. And since then her life has become a mission, an art like only a few masters still manage to do. Her stories have fascinated us, a pleasure to hear her speak and see her create. The only issue is that Chiara does not receive the support from the competent authorities to spread this almost mysterious art. Animals are not adequately protected. Her art is not recognized as such ... and perhaps it will disappear with her when her hands will no longer master the spindle or the loom. It deserves a visit and a great support .. Keep up Chiara, keep fighting.

She showed me how the mussels make their byssus threads and how these threads are then made into yarn. Attraction
Cala Sapone is a popular tourist attraction in Sardegna, characterized by a small beach nestled between rocky formations and surrounded by open-air seafood restaurants. The beach itself may be relatively small with sand and tiny stones, but the water is idyllic and inviting. Visitors should take a walk along the rocks to discover another nearby Cala called U that offers stunning views.
Nice beach, not crowed in the off season. Easy accessible, a bit sheltered from wind and waves, there is a small bar which serves food and drinks, there is a toilet in the bar as well. The sunset is spectacular. Parking is close but not plenty. Water is wonderful. We loved it.

One of the best beaches in Sardegna for me. The sandy part was quite full and totally average but thf part with the smooth big stones.. just amazing
Kzt Famu — Google review
A friend of mine confided in me today that most local people do not eat or drink at Mario and Pinella in Cala Sapone because of perceived hygiene problems. As a professional chef and previous catering manager of a large London hotel restaurant, I was interested to see whether this was true or not. so I went to pay a visit to the restaurants kitchen today while I was visiting Cala Sapone. from the very beginning I looked at the refrigerators and freezers and also the cooker and the deep fat fryer I looked around the kitchen and I can tell you that this is one of the cleanest kitchens and best organised kitchens that I have seen in the many years that I was a chef and catering manager.so for those people who say that they are worried about the hygiene of restaurant and kitchen of Mario and Pinella they are mistaken. They should consider eating in this place because it is in a beautiful location and the food is very very good. The hygiene is not a problem here as well, the prices are reasonable and the staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Finally, this location is excellent. Right across from a lovely sandy beach which has offshore shallow water an inshore reefs great for swimming and snorkelling. Here you can rent deck chairs or loungers as well as a kayak of pedalo. to explore the bay. I highly recommend Cala Sapone as a destination for all ages and all people. You will not be disappointed. There is plenty of parking in the car park and the small cafe/restaurant of Mario and Pinella has a toilet for you to use as well as offers of course, food and beverages, ice creams and great coffee too.

Although access can be challenging and the terrain may be rough, the experience of exploring this beautiful beach and its cool cave is truly spectacular. However, visitors should be cautious of potential dangers such as jellyfish in the water.

If you're in the mood for some good Italian pizza and your own craft beers, Rubiu - Birrificio Artigianale e Brew Pub is the place to go. The pizzas are delicious and well-made, and the brewer does a great job with his own beers. It can be busy, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some quality Italian food and drinks.
Great pizza and nice beers locally brewed.
Camille Reverdy — Google review
This is definitely something different in a more traditional Sardinian town, so credit to the owners. However its not your typical craft brewery as you may know from US, UK, or many other places as its ‘by appointment’ and not just ‘drop in’. By that I mean it focuses on the food offering - which is really very good if you do compare to typical craft breweries - so its more pizza, platters and beer than the other way around. In saying that, they have done an amazing fitout of the place (which is a good 15mins walk out of town) which is really modern in this traditional area. Obviously very popular with the locals given the amount people eating (and some just drinking) on a Wednesday evening in mid-late April. Staff speak English but you can connect to the multi-language menu (incl beers) via QR code. Although they advertised free WiFi in the door, the host told us the don’t have it so something they can fix. Now onto the best part: the beer. That’s what you come for right? (Although food is very good!) Great selection of beers of all different styles so something for everyone. All are quite high in alcohol and all are locally brewed so don’t expect bland mass market lagers here! I started and stayed on the Mosiac (Summer Ale) which was the equivalent of a solid Pale Ale. 5.3% alcohol so not crazy (some are 7.6%) but really nice. I finished with Cent (American Porter) which was heavy but nice way to finish. Cost is way more expensive than local bars but you get what you pay for so definitely worth it if you like craft beers. We had a great night for around €60 so still super reasonable. Overall a really good experience for both beers and food, so highly recommend an evening. Book ahead to secure a table but they do have 8 seats at the bar for drinks so you can drop in (during fairly limited opening hours).

Nice pizzeria with a really good craft beer! The pizza is ok and the beer taste is awesome! The pain point is the service! The waiters disappeared after they brought your the ordination! I left the pizzeria before the desert and the amaro because nobody came to take the order. I can not advice this pizzeria because the craft beer that Rubiu produce it is possible to find in other places.
Giuseppe Pittalis — Google review
If you are naerby and you feel like having a perfect beer or eat some damn good pizza, you need to get here. They make their own beers and it is just perfection. Pizza is also high quality. I chose one with sardinian sausage and cheese and it was nice experience. The place is popular, crowded almost. One star is missing beacuse our waitress seemsed to be not in the mood and a little bit rude.
Michalina P — Google review
If you are searching for a good quality pizza and a selection of beer that is different from the industrial ones you find anywhere on the island, then this is your place. I cannot give five stars because of the following reasons: (1) the waitress who took our order was particularly unwelcoming, (2) once we had the pizza, we had to wait for too long without getting any attention, at last we called them, (3) the semifreddo of pistacchio was too cold and therefore one could not taste the pistacchio so well, I started to appreciate it only towards the end. In my opinion, this is common knowledge that the semifreddo should stay out of fridge for at least 5 to 10 minutes, before being served. The rest of the staff was very warm and professional, except for the mentioned waitress.
Sara Malick — Google review
The pizza is good enough, although not really a special one. However, they have quite a choice of typical specialties based on local ingredients. The place is more famous for their craft beers, which are numerous, varied and all interesting to taste. Some of their beers have won national craft beer prizes, so people come from all over Sardinia - and beyond - to taste them. Beware of the acoustics of the dining room, that is definitely bad, so that the place is very noisy when it's somewhat crowded. The service is usually quick and kind, especially for the pizzas, which are prepared and served breathtakingly fast!
Carlo Scibilia — Google review
We planned our visit well ahead due to the current situation (download app, inform about beers and food, make reservation). We ordered two different pizzas which were good but not too special. But since this is supposed to be brewery we were looking forward to taste the beer. Unfortunately, two out of four beers we ordered were not available. Instead of offering an alternative the waitress walked away. I ended up having 3 different beers of which one was very good the other two were average. The service is not too friendly and not very efficient.
Ya dam — Google review
This used to be a true artisan beer brewery, and in the past they have won several prizes at various beer competitions multiple years in a row. Unfortunately their success has driven up demand and instead of staying true to their artisan way of making beers they add SUGAR to their beer, therefore their beers are as artisan as an Ichnusa, its all about quantity instead of quality with them today.
Antoni “Antek” Baranski — Google review
we came for the beer and stayed for the pizza. excellent choice of craft beer, modern restaurant with a nice vibe to it. great food with the possibility to "build" your own pizza with a great choice of local produce such as cheeses and antipasti. would have given 5 stars if the staff hadn't been a little bit forgetful of our table (we were, for a while, the only guests on the terrace). still, great experience, would come again!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of my dining experience at Ittiturismo Cooperativa I Due Fratelli in Sant'Antioco. The cuisine was exceptional, with delectable dishes such as Cozze Alla zuppa that had a fantastic sauce and Spaghetto with shrimps that left a lingering taste in my mouth even after four days. For the more adventurous, they also offered fried anemones that had an early and briny flavor which I surprisingly loved.
The place for the most fresh fish and seafood! Cooking is basic but tasty

We loved every bit of the food served in this restaurant. Cozze Alla zuppa were delicious (fantastic sauce), il Spaghetto with shrimps fantastic (I still have the taste in my mouth after four days). And for those who dare they have fried anemones, very early and brine taste, but loved them.
Arthur Kadar — Google review
The food in this place was a dissapointment. Octopus salad as starter was great, we split one because we were not that hungry, portion was good. Strong start! Staff was pleasant. However the main dishes were simply awful, tasteless, completely bland. I had the Gulf Fry (picture below), the thing had zero taste and was likely from frozen stuff (menu warned about that), however it was extremely bland and if someone blinded me and served me rubber I wouldnt be able to tell the difference. My spouse had swordfish which was similarly dissapointing, fries were not great either.. Vegetable salad was ok, not much to be ruined there… We had great bottle of Karmis cuvee.. If you do decide to come here, the mussels looked good, however we didnt have them..
Martin Madry — Google review
This seafood restaurant is generally very well appreciated by both local and tourists. The food quality is good, and the freshness of the ingredients is generally guaranteed, as the restaurant is related to a local fishing cooperative. However, the dishes are always just the classic local ones, with a poor rate of variations. The location is very nice, especially at the tables on the outdoor terrace, which is really just in front of the sea, with a very nice view, particularly with daylight. The table service is very friendly, but sometimes not much attentive to the needs of the patrons. For example, if you miss a fork or a knife, or the bread for that matter, no one notices, and you really need to point it out to the waiters. Generally recommended, although not so special as it used to be.
Carlo Scibilia — Google review
From my experience not the best mussels in sardegna, but not bad at all. Not a bad place :). I visited on a busy weekend evening, so if you wish to have a table outside, make sure to have a reservation. A few Sundays ago, I went on a motorbike trip to Sant'antioco and visited Ristorante da Silvana. The restaurant is conveniently located along the isthmus that leads to the village of Sant'antioco. They don't offer an a la carte menu; instead, they have a fixed menu priced at 35 euros which includes various appetizers such as beans, chickpeas in wet and mussel soup - all of which were quite enjoyable.

Excellent menu based mostly on quality seafood. Pleasant location with outside tables and sun shades. Really near to the Sant'Antioco lagoon, but with no view from inside the restaurant. Simple table set-up and informal service. The staff is not really amiable, but the service works well. Reasonable prices, given the fact that the menu is very rich. Few choices for vegans.

This is a casa del Popolo style gastronomy, with fixed menus. We tried almost everything here and find the quality more than acceptable. Every now and then, you might find a fish that is not perfect: for example ready ragú did not have enough meat. The portions are very big and the staff is kind.

High quality food and it was delicious. Best food we ate over our holiday. Atmosphere was laid back but felt busy. Needed some background music as we could just hear the staff sorting out the service. Given 3 stars because of rushed service. We waited over 30 minutes for our first course. They forgot a dish we ordered. And despite us asking , they didn't put a candle on a cake for my wife's birthday. At busy times, more attention to detail is needed if we're paying €20 per dish. Or simplify the menu.

Has to be better alternatives: we visited here during our travels as a couple as wanted a decent pizza. However, compared to other places we’ve visited, this place is not great at all. Firstly, you are charged cover (which is standard) but we get nothing for it. Worse case you get bread (and it wouldn’t be hard for them to do herb pizza bread here) and best case you get varieties of breads. Here? Zero but still €2 pp (again its all relative). Secondly, the draught local beer is also way above what you would pay elsewhere in this region of Sardinia at €6 which is more expensive than many places in Germany (for example) for local mass-market brew. Finally, my partner had the seafood pizza and by the time you clean out all of the shells the pizza is cold. So that had to go back. Nice staff but I think this is more of a take-out place (super busy) than a decent restaurant so find an alternative in town (if they are open).

This is definitely my favorite pizzeria in Sant'Antioco. They also have a decent kitchen, and good classic "round" pizzas, but their specialty is "pizza al taglio", made in a rectangular pan and cut into square, succulent portions. It's the pizza of my childhood, it's just a shame that they no longer serve it at the tables, but only sell it as pizza by the slice, as a take away. Please, review this decision. Thanks!

We came as a first, the staff did a big table of 11 for us within second. The food was absolutely spot on, dessert as I love tiramisu was top. Really nice place, with professional staff and definitely amazing chefs. This way we want to say, thank you. Group of 6 adults and 5 kids on 4.7.2023 😉👍
