Copenhagen Airport

Mentioned on
International airport
Airport
Copenhagen Airport is a large, modern airport located in the southern Sweden area with regional and international flight options. It features an extensive selection of dining and coffee options, along with a small cafeteria conveniently located near baggage claim. The airport has a modest yet contemporary design and boasts helpful staff, abundant seating, ample shopping opportunities, and clear signage throughout. Notably, there is also pub equipped with a large television at the main entrance.
Nice, big airport with multiple restaurants, plenty of toilets, shops and more. Very easy to access via the metro from anywhere across the city. As a whole, Copenhagen Airport is a very clean, spacious and welcoming airport that has very friendly staff. There is a good selection of different designer shops and the standard Duty Free shops where you can buy essentials, including water at a good price of 15DKK (£1.70). There is plenty of toilets in the airport which were all clean and easy to find, with it easy to navigate through the airport as a whole, with little delays and small queues. Would recommend flying from here 😸

Cute modern and massive airport but expect to walk a mile to your gate if you’re flying with a budget airline. It’s literally at the back of the airport so prepare ahead. On the plus side, this means there are barely any delays and boarding is super quick.
Ebun Oluwole — Google review
Friendly staff, everything is clearly marked and plenty of place to sit and lots of cool shops. Everything is also very clean and tidy.

This is a great airport. The toilets are very clean. They have some nice Elevators and it was easy to get to my plane. Very convenient. Also, they have nice carousels at the baggage claim.

Huge variety of places to eat something or drink coffee. I was expecting a smaller airport but it is actually big. When you are waiting your luggage, there is also a small cafeteria to have something quickly while waiting. It is modern but modest which is a nice combination. Also, in the main entrance to the airport there is a pub with a huge TV. Getting into the city or to other cities is possible as there is train here. Good directions and information everywhere.

What a wonderful airport. I would rank this as one of the best in Europe. We were surprised and welcomed the free airside baggage carts. The airport is bright and spacious and with what seems like hundreds of shopping experiences.

Amazing Efficiency and Amenities at Copenhagen Airport! ✈️🚆 As an engineer, I absolutely adored Copenhagen Airport for its smart systems that boosted security line efficiency. The airport's size and cleanliness were impressive, creating a pleasant ambiance throughout. 🧹 The direct metro and train lines worked flawlessly, ensuring hassle-free transportation. 🚇🚆 What more could one ask for? 🤔 🍽️🛍️🚽 The variety of food options, tax-free shopping, and clean restrooms left me spoiled for choice. The airport truly understands the importance of catering to different tastes and needs. 🚰 Although I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the airport, I did notice one small drawback: the lack of easily accessible free tap water. Maybe it was just me, but finding water stations was a bit challenging. Nonetheless, this was a minor inconvenience amidst an otherwise outstanding experience. Overall, Copenhagen Airport ranks among the best in Europe, offering an exceptional travel experience with its efficiency, cleanliness, and a wide array of amenities. ✨🌍I highly recommend it to fellow travelers. Happy journeys!

The international terminal appears very functional and considerate. The staff was nice, welcoming and courteous. Some large resting pads can be found in the terminal, perhaps for some stranded passengers in the unfortunate scenarios of flight disruptions. Duty-free shops have a lot of souvenirs to choose from, and the metro ride to Copenhagen city center was a breeze.

This is a top notch airport. It's connected by metro and train to the city running at an amazing frequency. Security is pretty good. You don't need to take out anything out of bags. Lots of shops and eateries.
Vishesh Saxena — Google review
Security checks were quick, and the staff was kind. Beware that you might be in for a surprise. Check the boarding gate ahead of time in case you have to walk for 10+ minutes to reach the other end. If you are tired after that mini workout there many free seats with charging ports. On the other hand, if you need to stretch, go window shopping at the high-end stores. Not in the mood for cafes or lounge bars? Plenty of vending machines are at your disposal. Visacards, and cash are acceptable.
Tendeso Musimwa — Google review
All good about this airport First of all it was very easy to reaching out from the København central station, only 3 station about 20mins and cost only 30DNK. It’s also quite fast and reliable you don’t have to take the fastest one. The airport not really big as a size but has so many gates, don’t be tricked by the size since the gates must be kinda secluded and that means you need to looong walk ( for example Terminal 2 gates F7. Friendly and fast response security control at the custom make the lane faster
Putri Dumadi — Google review
Spacious, modern airport with plenty cafes and shops. Free wi-fi NEGATIVE POINTS: At gates A unable to find any information desk. My flight was delayed for 1.45h and I got sms from airlines, however on screen wasn't indicated any gate number and information about new depature time, just had information that boarding starts later on the screen. Information about flight delay should be up to date on the screens. Stuff was not helpfull, just said to watch the screen and all. Irritating when you unable to get actual information on demand. Airport has plenty of toilets, but those are like small 2 separate cabins with music, not like get to used spaciuos wc with plenty cabins vs other EU airport. Socket unaviable to find at gates A with number 20 and over. Sockets were aviable at A14, but still several, so to change the phone is quest and ned go to cafes sector and find the oasis with sockets.
Natie N — Google review
Great airport, easily connected to the city centre via Metro. The place itself is huge and you can get a bit lost, with many restaurants and cafes and shops. The checks were fairly quick, though the liquid bag they provide is super tiny. Many international flights.
F DB — Google review
A comfortable modern airport, where there are almost no queues, everything is done very logically and thoughtfully, without a large number of employees. In front of the security scanner, there is space for packing liquids and free click bags. All liquids, even 10 ml, must be kept in these bags separately from luggage. A large number of duty-free shops and cafes. But there are only vending machines in the departure area.

I recently traveled through Copenhagen Airport,Denmark 🇩🇰 and overall, my experience was 10/10. The check-in process was efficient, and staff members were helpful. The airport facilities were clean, and there was a good variety of dining and shopping options. The signage was clear, making it easy to make through, the seating areas are wide spread and comfortable with good Wi-Fi connectivity throught the airport.
Achal Verma — Google review
Modern and very efficient airport! I am impressed how spacious all terminals are, very clear signage and robust infrastructure! You can find diverse dining and shopping options, it is matched to every taste. Among one of my favorites in Europe!

This is a well organized, modern and relative big airport. Entering the airport coming from the metro I was shortly cunfused where is Terminal 1 (there are only signs for Terminal 2 and 3) until I noticed it doesn't matter for international flights. The airport staff is helping and friendly. There is a wide range of shops and restaurants (not the cheapest in Europe) Even with my delayed flight I had a nice stay. By the way: the metro connection to the city is highly modern and very fast

Excellent little oasis and old fortress. The earthworks in the park were much larger than I anticipated and the place itself was quiet and charming. A great spot to get away from things for a little bit.

Nothing special. Just a fine place to have a walk. There is also a restaurant - but it was closed ( in the end of February) and it is better to go there in sunny and dry weather as fas af the path will be dirty))
Anna Melnyk — Google review
A perfectly pleasant walk and/or good for a run. The restaurant was closed but there’s a good adventure playground at the end if you have children.

Small Fort. Not much to see but still worth a visit if you're interested in history. Great playground close by and other places worth a visit. Not a place you can spend hours exploring, a quick visit to check it out and enjoy the view will do

Really nice little park/fortification build as a part of the new forification of Copenhagen build after the war against Preussia in 1864, where Denmark got a good old fashion beating.Other parts of the fortification of Copenhagen is e.g. Vestvolden, Kongelundsfortet, Trekroner. The fortification was in use until the end of World War 1 but was never used in action. It os really nice place to go for a run or walk.

Amazing place to walk, camp, rent bikes, BBQ and explore.

Hiking among cows and wild geese in the open fields is a very beautiful and mind relaxing adventure. If you walk on the roads beware of the racing bicyclists often coming in groups. If you’re into mushroom hunting there’s also some opportunity during season.
Christian Jessen — Google review
Simply amazing scenery and nature! Perfect for a relaxing walk and talk.

Beautiful and amazing but could use more benches to take breaks in between walk, perfect for bike riding
Anna Roitman — Google review
An amazing piece of nature conveniently located very close to a metrostop. It doubles as bird reserve and a cow pastures, and just a very good option for a picninc or a quiet stroll in the sum.

Kalvebod Fælled is a true oasis of nature close to the city and public transport. With kilometers of beautiful trails and paths, it is perfect for running, jogging, and exploring nature. The trails around Kalvebod Fælled offer stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The best part though, are the incredible running opportunities this park offers. With several well-maintained paths and trails, this park is a dream destination for long-distance runners.

Fantastic art for free! Located near Metro in tne middle of Amager not far from the airport, Kastrupgård offers both indoor and outdoor space at a very high level. With a permanent collection including local works as well as 4 annual special exhibits there is plenty of value! Icing on the cake were free parking and a café with very good prices!

A very peaceful place with a nice collecrion. It is free of charge so everyone can enjoy and there is a cafe on side. There is also an exhibition about local customs and ethnographical items in the basement.

Very cute (and free!) art museum. There's a coat room with lockers downstairs if you have a backpack or other small bags with you. I loved the cat and mouse theme with the statues outside. Just note that all the plaques are written in Danish so it isn't the most accessible if you don't read or speak the language.

Kastrup Sea Bath

Outdoor Activities
The public bath Kastrup Sea Bath is a popular spot for swimming and jumping in the summer, as well as in the winter if you're into that kiddie thing. It's a great place to go swimming all year round, with its close proximity to the water.
Kastrup Sea Bath, affectionately known as ‘The Snail’, is an outdoor swimming structure designed by White Arkitekter in 2005. "The form was in response to the north-facing beach; a wooden pier stretches from shore and curves around to form a south-facing circular enclosure. The pier gradually rises above the sea level and ends in a five metre diving platform. The circular shape creates a concentrated interior that provides shelter from the wind and the perfect retreat for swimming and sunbathing."

Wow what a place. Have swum here before and it blows Kongens Nytorv out of the water (massive pun alert 🚨 ). Beautiful platform to jump off of. Beautiful people around me too, my girlfriend looked stunning as always but her best friend was looking pretty hot as well! (See pics) We all enjoyed swimming together and I just could not stop staring at my girlfriends gorgeous face. All in all a 10/10.
