One of the rare churches with byzantine influence in Italy. Really really old, from 1080!!! It is a must if you are visiting the area. Plus from outside the church you can see a great view of the city of Feltre

Nice and beautiful location. Frescos inside. Only negative point is that it was open after sunset but there were no lights inside so we had to look at the frescoes under my phone light.

(Translated by Google) Located in the heart of Feltre, the Carlo Rizzarda Modern Art Gallery is a true jewel that houses works of art of inestimable value within it. ️ Crossing the threshold of the sixteenth-century Palazzo Cumano, you are immersed in an atmosphere rich in history and charm. The rooms, expertly restored, host a permanent collection that ranges from the 19th to the 20th century, with works by highly renowned Italian and foreign artists. Among the masterpieces on display, we find paintings by Felice Casorati, Egon Schiele, Giovanni Fattori, Telemaco Signorini and many others. ‍ Each work tells a story, an emotion, a fragment of a bygone era. ️ In addition to paintings, the gallery also boasts a rich collection of sculptures and ceramics. Among the sculptures, those by Adolfo Wildt and Francesco Messina are noteworthy, while among the ceramics those by Galileo Chini and Riccardo Gatti stand out. ‍ An entire section of the gallery is dedicated to the master Carlo Rizzarda, who was responsible for the creation of the museum. ‍ Rizzarda, from Feltre of humble origins, became one of the most important masters of wrought iron of the twentieth century. ⚒️ His works, exhibited in various rooms, testify to his extraordinary mastery and innate talent. ️ The Carlo Rizzarda Modern Art Gallery is an ideal place for those who love art and history. A place where you can get lost among timeless masterpieces and discover the story of a great artist. (If you liked my review click 👍🏻 "Helpful". (Translated by Google) The palace and what it contains is an authentic jewel: the wrought iron works of a master, Carlo Rizzarda. But now it becomes even more precious. In fact, the collection of Venetian glass has been set up on the top floor, which has grown over thirty years of collecting passion by the architect Ferruccio Franzoia, who provides the city with a permanent exhibition destined to become a jewel with a strong attractive potential. Ferruccio Franzoia: all his life he searched for, and sometimes chased, extraordinary pieces, building with Carla Nasci a unique collection of Venetian glass that documents the 20th century of glass. Donated in 2018 to the city of Feltre, official inauguration on 8 May 2021. I was able to visit it as a preview for Giornale Sentire ... Wonderful! I have been here a number of times over the past 25 years. The castle was the university of Feltre. My wife studied here in the 1990s, so I was lucky enough to visit it and tour the buildings before it closed and fell in to ruin. The area has an amazing history, much written about below, but not many consider the activities of WW1 and the occupation by the Austro-Hungarian armies. There was an airport nearby too, where brave young pilots flew their missions from to fight the Italians, and later French and British, who included the great Canadian, William (Billy) Barker VC, who's Sopwith Camel F1 is still the highest scoring plane in history.

(Translated by Google) What a magical place! A truly fabulous experience inside this historic Castle. We visited it together with a young guide, a really well prepared and really nice guy. He explained the history of the castle and the two towers to us, and was able to answer EVERY question we had. The super affordable price taking into account that with the same ticket you can see the museums and ancient prisons of Feltre. We would recommend it to anyone who is passionate about history and also to families. (Original) Che posto magico! Un esperienza veramente favolosa all’interno di questo storico Castello. (Translated by Google) The old village of Feltre is built on a hill of which it occupies the entire surface. A curiosity, the hill is crossed by a pedestrian tunnel <former Romita gallery now Angelini gallery> to pass from south to north of the same. Built by the Germans in 1943 as a warehouse then used as an anti-aircraft shelter. A few years ago it was equipped with glass windbreaks to be able to use it for other activities, such as exhibitions, along the walls of photos describing the history of the city. Inside there are also public toilets. I recommend leaving the car near the tunnel and going up the steps on the right, thus you will walk along part of the sentry walkway. To enter the village you pass a series of covered staircases created mostly under the same buildings. You literally emerge at the side of the praetorian palace where the municipality is located. Once in Piazza Maggiore, at the highest point you can see the tower of what remains of a medieval castle, called Alboino's castle. At its feet there is the workshop of an artist blacksmith, and some of his compositions are displayed in the courtyard in front.

(Translated by Google) A splendid residence, set in an even more splendid context: the village of Grum. The owners have managed, thanks also to their love for the territory, to safeguard this splendid ancient nucleus. The presence of a local museum and the small church of Santo Stefano is important, with ancient origins and rich in frescoes dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. There is also a farmhouse, managed by the owners of the farm, but I understand that it is only open on Sundays. Thanks above all to the passion of Mr Massimiliano and his wife, everything was made possible.
