Great week of group ski lessons with Joel, who provided a fun and engaging experience for the whole group. Regular and detailed individual feedback given throughout the lesson, despite large group size. Definitely recommend booking with ESF 1850

Today we finished our holiday in Courchevel, i had used esf 1850 for 2 lessons per day for 4 days for my two children. We were unable to complete the 5th day due to travel requirements. At the end of the last lesson we were told to go collect our medals but when we attempted to collect them at the office we were refused with the comment the children were not at the level required as the “test’ was on the 5th day. Both instructors had told us they were at a suitable level to pass but this was disputed by the office person. The look of disappointment on the children’s faces was very hard to miss. I am completely disillusioned by this behaviour and found the whole esf process to be very poor. Very little actual one on one coaching was provided, it was mostly just a follow the instructor based process, during the previous days both children were praised by the instructor at the end of each day and yet still not able to get their simple reward. Just a shame that such an organisation treats children this way.

I bought a week course for beginner - ski. I was told i would need a 3 vallee pass, which I bought for the whole week, but in reality we only ski on green slopes inside courchevel. So I dont understand why they make you buy a more expensive pass when its never going to be used. I started in class 1, and in one week we only did green slopes, not a single blue. im very disappointed because i thought they would teach us more, i just learned how to stop parallel. honestly i could had gotten that single tip in one day, and just go by myself to practice. Another thing is that group member are always moving, everyday we had a different person coming from another group (lower o higher level). My group got divided into people who could stop very well and people who couldnt stop. I found myself in 3 long boring days since i was learning nothing, professor was either improving the 2 high evel that arrived at the end, or helping the ones falling. So I can honestly say I got 2 good avdices from the professor in 5 days. the 1st was a demostration of how to stop parallel, and the second he told me i should stop withouth moving the upper part of my body :) thats all, 340 eur for 2 advises. I would advise the rest of you to take 1 day of class and go practice yourself, probably same thing as taking a whole week.

I experienced the service of esf 1850. I booked 2 private lessons on their website one of them showed up on time while the other was 2 hours late for a 4 hour lesson. The website checkout experience was easy; they were eager to take my money. 1 of the lessons was good. The instructor was friendly and he showed us around to a few good restaurants. The 2nd lesson was not good. The instructor was 2 hours late, which wasted a significant part of the ski day. The morning time is the least crowded and the best skiing, and this was missed. By the time the instructor showed up, lines were longer and the snow was not as good. Esf did not offer a discount and I had to ask repeatedly with several follow up questions. The problem was not with a bank transfer taking too long. The problem was that esf 1850 customer service did not want to acknowledge that a problem occurred or that a discount was appropriate. I paid for a 4 hour lesson. I received a 2 hour lesson because the instructor was 2 hours late to arrive. I understand that mistakes can happen. I did not understand why esf 1850 would not acknowledge the error and why they took almost a month to offer a discount which reflected the actual service I received versus what I had paid for.

(Translated by Google) Amazing, the director is very unpleasant, almost disrespectful, she doesn't even respond to hellos. Plus it's really deplorable, an instructor gave my son his first star last year, in a single outing on the slopes. As a result, this year we registered him for the 2nd star, and of course he is not up to the level, not surprising, you might say, having only made one outing on the slopes. This is truly unacceptable. I strongly advise against the ESF Courchevel Village. Go instead to Méribel la Chaudanne, the welcome is excellent and the instructors are much more conscientious.

Bien dommage :-(( (Translated by Google) accustomed to putting our children in ski lessons every winter (at Christmas and in February), this time we were disappointed with the judgment of the instructor who "sanctioned" the fact that our little boy did not take lessons the afternoon noon by refusing to give him his bronze star. Very bad instructor!!! I took the private courses and I thought I will have good service for that. Unfortunately, the courses does not much the minumim of my expectations. I beleive I learned better from youtube videos that I had to view, in order to understand something. The instructor didn't give me the tricks to follow, the traps to avoid and the best practices. She basically someone who knows how to ski, but does not know how to prepare her courses or transfer information. I strongly recommend to avoid this Ski School!!

Creperie
Le Tremplin, a renowned creperie, stands out amongst its competitors as it offers the most exceptional crepes worldwide. For over two decades, patrons have relished these divine delicacies and created lasting memories within its buttery paradise. The establishment's ambiance is magnificent, with an impressive selection of delectable food and fine wines; however, there is room for improvement in their service department by hiring additional staff members.
The crêperie has no peers: the BEST crêpes in the World. Period. 21 years I’ve been eating these heavenly things here. I probably could’ve bought a Mercedes instead, but that’s not the point. The memories and the buttery nirvana served up here is all that matters. And head of house Matthieu is a legend!!
Bryan Guest — Google review
Thanks to its locational benefits, the price is high. The servers are good, but some plates doesn’t worth the price. And most of all, they ask you some tips. I didn’t expected that because the other French restaurants(not in Courchevel) never asked the tips.
공과장 (Manager Kong) — Google review
Visited in Dec 2023 Stopped by Tremplin for lunch and ended up ordering a few salads, a burger and the Kobe beef steak. All the items were decent though the Kobe beef steak didn’t feel worth the price. Service was fine. During lunch time, this place can get a bit crowded/busy, but our food did not take long to arrive. All in all, a nice place with a good vibe to have a decent meal.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Le Tremplin in Courchevel 1850. This is excellently located in the heart of the village with upscale clientele. The food is between average and good. Staff is great and welcoming. Prices are high.

The creperie is terrible, the manager puts RESERVE sign on all tables, although they are not reserved. I witnessed The manager taking EURO 100 to let tourists get a table. I wonder if the owner knows about this. This has only happened this year. Last couple of years this wasn’t the case.

I had a cappuccino and an eclair. The price is high, that's normal for such a place - okay! The eclair was fairly good but the cappuccino tasted like one from any bakery in the neighborhood - bad. The eclair wasn't worth the price - I would almost say, slightly above any bakery in France. But if you have the money and like the ambiance... Yeah this is your place.

Restaurant
Starting with the downside, any coffee that is not an espresso is subpar. The automated coffee machines found in Courchevel, including Le Bel Air Mountain Restaurant, are lacking in quality. However, this flaw becomes inconsequential when you consider the breathtaking view it offers. The staff at Le Bel Air are attentive and friendly, making it worthy of a 5-star rating. While the food is good, advance booking is essential, especially during school holidays and favorable weather conditions.
You need to reserve a table if you’d like to have lunch here. Beautiful view of the snowy mountains, very busy place. The salad is very good….Food could do with a lot more attention.

Excellent food and prices that don’t bite. Service was friendly and efficient, certainly everything was brought in time and well before the snails on the attached photo could escape ;)
Akram Azerbayev — Google review
Let’s start with the downside: any coffee that is not an espresso is bad. It’s the typical push-button automatic rapid fire stuff that plagues Courchevel (and most of France). However, who cares when you have a view like this?! Staff are attentive and friendly. These two factors are why it’s a 5-star. Food is good, but you must book well in advance, especially during school holidays and if the weather’s good. A must-visit place for a 11:00 stop, especially if skiing with kids from 1850. Popular with the Brits.

This restaurant takes you on a delightful tour of the Duchy of Savoy. The staff is so welcoming and professional. The food was incredible. I like restaurants with a lot of meat and they served venison, beef and reindeer. That in addition to shrimp and monkfish. The dessert was one of the lightest and most delightful ending of a meal I have ever had! Loved the experience! Must try when in Courchevel.

Wonderful restaurant perfectly located near the slopes. The atmosphere is a mix of chic and traditional chalet. Visited in Dec 2023 for lunch The lunch at Le Farcon was my best meal in Courchevel during my week long stay there. We went with the 3 course menu (€68) as with the amuse bouche, bread and petit fours, it sort of becomes like a 6-7 course meal which can be quite heavy for lunch. There are menus with higher number of courses too if you want that. The dishes were absolutely exemplary and the presentation was exquisite. Every dish brought a different flavour to the taste buds. We liked every single item and it’s very hard to choose which was the best. We also ordered some champagne and wine which the restaurant has a very good collection of. Service was excellent. The restaurant also kindly catered to my personal allergies by replacing a particular dish with an alternate. Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant and a must visit in my opinion if you’re in Courchevel

My favourite restaurant in the Alps. It doesn't look much from the outside but inside you are in for a treat. The 3-course lunch is amazing value given that it is Michelin star (and well deserved) and with all the extra bits between the courses consists of about 6 courses! Beautiful food, stunningly created by the talented "Savoyard Peddlar". Very highly recommended. An absolute gem.

A very refined dining experience with innovative regional flavor combinations that mystify and delight. There were four of us and we had the four course tasting menu and some thought it did not deserve the Michelin star but you will certainly have a unique and intensely pleasurable experience.

Indeed, some of the dishes were excellent and some mediocre. We took a wine pairing and after three wines we realized that unlike other restaurants at this level, the wines were mediocre. We asked to stop matching the wines and asked to receive the wine by the glass menu. The sommelier said that there is no such menu and he himself is the menu.... The restaurant was almost empty. Does everyone know the restaurant has gone downhill except for us?

Excellent service, wonderful ambiance, and a terrific delicious gastronomic journey!! We had a very special evening here and may confidently say that this was not simply a dinner- but works of art. We appreciated the narrative of the Chef and loved each and every one of his creations! Since the menu is a surprise and we would not want to spoil it, I only upload one photo of the appetizers. Allow yourself to be surprised!!! This was a wonderful experience at La Farcon!

I had an issue with the spa manager but the hotel made up for it. p.s. it’s a very pet friendly hotel

Overall a good stay but the team and services need to improve. Rooms and access architecture is labyrinthine with narrow corridors and poor interior design. Ski room and spa were the highlights with excellent service and infrastructure. The gym is like a prison cell with almost no space or equipment. The concierge staff was kind but not very efficient, probably due to lack of good connections and poor software. The breakfast buffet and service were tops with great staff. The reception and office have much to improve. The bar was friendly and well managed. The Sidonie restaurant is one of the worst hotel restaurants of this class with its poor service, decor and atmosphere. There is almost no lobby and nowhere cozy to sit and enjoy e nice fireside mountain evening. The location is very good and is ski in ski out.

Love every detail of this dinner! chef gave a history chat on the collection of the Michelin guides since 1900. The wine selection here is awesome and the 5 course tasting menu is amazing! Will come back for sure!!

The hotel is nice , the location is perfect , the staff and concierge were polite and accommodating .The ski shop was great, the employees there were super polite and were helping us every day , many thanks to them . But here the pros end and I start with the cons , which are not a few . For a 5* hotel it is inexplicable to me how the heating in the room can be locked on specific degrees and you can’t control it . When you come back from ski you expect your room to be warm and cosy , but no . I had to ask every day for that and even then the room was cold especially the first floor . In this line , the maids were entering the room all the time , no matter morning or evening . They don’t track when or if you have left the room at all and were super noisy in the hall early in the morning . So don’t forget to keep the “do not disturb” plate on the door all the time . Furthermore for 8 days stay my bathrobe was changed 2 , maximum 3 times , which is inadmissible as well . The breakfast was inept for 5* hotel , considering the fact that there were no vegetables on the buffet ,so if you want some , you should ask for . If you order a scrambled eggs with bacon for 50€ , here you go , you get the same eggs and bacon from the buffet , but in different plate and as I already said - for 50€. It’s inexplicable to me how there’s not even simple cucumber or tomato . Moreover there weren’t lactose free products and as a lactose intolerant person I had even more less choice for breakfast . The spa is ok , but the “gym” is there just to be pointed out that the hotel has one - 3 or 4 cycling bicycles , one air ski trainer and some dumbbells , some of which were actually broken (oh and two chairs , which were “very useful” in a gym) . So finally , there’s a lot of inexplicable things to me in this hotel but after all with my best of intentions I hope , in the future they should be fixed if they want their guests to be satisfied with their stay .

This was our fourth visit to Le Chabichou restaurant and probably this was the last since they changed to fusion kitchen from conventional kitchen which we used to love. Such a shame to join to this fusion theme!

Review is for the restaurant. We often go to restaurants of this quality and dinned at all the top spots at our week here. Chabichou served the absolute best food of the week. Sometimes restaurants try through everything but the food to be a Michelin restaurant. Chabichou delivered on all aspects but foremost on the food taste and quality.

Chabichou is simply one of the best hotels in Courchevel. Amazing place, amazing bar and amazing SPA where it’s good to relax at the end of the day. The team of masseurs and masseuses lead by the team manager is very skilled, dedicated and welcoming. Thank you

The rooms are so dark, the service is not on par with the price, I requested a steamer and they couldn’t provide one. The room telephone does not work, and after mentioning it 5 times still no technician came to fix it, the hotel lobby stinks, and the smell lingers. The housekeeping staff enters unannounced, they do not have room service after 10 pm which is confusing … the bed mattered is uncomfortable, the sink leaks water. I wouldn’t ever choose to put myself through this again. I would never choose to return to the hotel.

Beautiful and clean hotel, 2min walk from the center and close to everything. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Well positioned hotel in an amazing ski resort, very elegant and chic and very kind staff and resourceful.I especially thank Mrs.Laure for the involvement and kindness with which she solved everything.

Not to my taste archi wise, very concrete walls to break the so called monotony of wood chalets. This modernism denotes too much vis-à -vis Courchevel. What’s up with those elevators! And the corridors made me claustrophobic. It’s an underground glorified bunker.
