The cave provides an interesting side diversion from the lower lakes trail and will take about 10-15 minutes of your time. It can be accessed from either the top or the bottom. The bat cave of the park with stairs that can give you a short cut from the bottom at the lakes to the top or reverse. Did not see any bats during daytime but it could have been off season early November.

A one hour tour of these caves. As previous reviews have already explained nothing too impressive but we still really enjoyed the experience. The tour leader was really friendly and made the tour much more interesting. I would surely recommend. Even the surrounding areas are beautiful.

It was a great experience. We went there with a family, it’s not a long cave, easy for the kids. The guide was very good, not in a rush, explained everything. When we were there - there were a problem with electricity, so there was no light inside caves, but they gave everyone flashlights and helmets. It was even more romantic experiece. Must visit if you are in Pivitze.

Amazing experience!! It is perfect for a short excursion and wont take you more than 2h to learn something about the Caves and its exciting history. Our tour with Katarina was funny, very informing and she was great with all the questions she was asked. We will totally come back in a few years.

The cave itself is not a spectacular experience. It's nice, nothing more. It's the tour guides that make it really interesting with their stories and jokes. The area below the cave entrance is pretty lovely for picnicking and just spending some relaxing time under the shades of the wood. The wifi is available and free.

A must do if you find yourself in the area! It's only about a 20 minute drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park, and is well worth the trip. Tours into the cave are guided (which we didn't realize), and it seems like they do them as they have enough people. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our tour to start, but it looks like it could be as much as a half hour. Our guid was great- very informative and humerus. He answered all the questions that came up from the group we were in, and pointed out a lot of historical and geological facts. The caves were fascinating to see and well worth the short drive.

A huge cave with a history that comes back before of our existence. You can see leftovers of each use of that cave in addition to the extraordinary stalagmites, stalactites and columns. The tour guide was very good and was following all the safety measures. In addition to that there is a great park with a lot of activities which can complimentary your expirience in the caves.

A random visit but pleasant visit. Can’t take dogs on guided tour of caves but there is a place to leave your dog should you wish. Guided tour takes 45mins. Our dog isn’t a fan of being left so luckily there are 3 lovely woodland trails to walk for free. Quiet and well marked the walks range from 20mins, 1 hour to the 3 hour walk. Very new and well maintained area with new toilet facilities there, as well as ample parking space.

The place looks amazing. we were asked to wear helmets due to the safety measures. the guide was very informative and interesting. All in all, very nice tour, definitely worth checking out.

The waiters are extra polite, approachable and cheerful. The ambiance is totally unique and enchanting. Probably one of the best restaurants in Croatia - worth to visit especially after a hike in the National Park - Peka is absolutely brilliant - service is way another league comparing to some other places - our waiter Goran is master of his profession - the atmosphere of the place is charming, warm.

After visiting Plitvice lakes we were more than ready for lunch. Almost an empty restaurant with a smiling waitress promised to have relax and good food. Reality was even better than expected. We got an appetizer- local creamy cheese with home made bread. Just perfect. We ordered beef soup with noodles, vegetables and meat. Simple, tasty, warm. We decided to have lamb. One was prepared with lentils, the other was specially baked wrapped in paper with potatoes, vegetables and drop off local plum brandy. Soooooo tasty. Add extremely friendly waitress and comfortable ambience. Prices are adequate for the locality and quality of food.

Food was fine, Ok prices, and friendly staff. I got a small welcoming dish as starter which was ok. The restaurant from inside felt like has a winter interior and I felt like I wanted to sit outdoors, unfortunately the seats in the terrace was not in service maybe because it was cloudy.

This is a fabulous restaurant. Truly. Everything is great. Even homemade excellent dense chewy sour dough bread. I had the best tortellini I’ve ever had. My friends had each different selections. The pasta is homemade and the sauces are unusual and delicate.

After treading the Plitvice National Park, (Second week of September 2023), hotel Bellevue staff, where we were staying suggested - us to go here. It was little far, and they offered a complimentary pick and drop. You are apprehensive first, but as soon you reach the restaurant you get good. The most amazing food. Sumptuous vegetarian options, sufficient portions. Plating is for Real. Their limited option dessert was awesome. The cheese they serve at the start leaves you asking for more, more... But look at the Interior of the restaurant . You are literally transported to the old world. Woodden, red curtains , ruggish, spears.... We were in Awe. Hospitality regal. Four people ended up with 100€, worth every penny. A visit to cherish in Croatia.

Great atmosphere, excellent food and great service. I had the stuffed gnocchi and honey cake. My partner had the traditional lamb "peka" (which you need to remember the order in advance) and "Iika soup". A great way to finish a day of intense hiking at the lakes.

My partner and I visited Lička kuća the night before we hiked the National Park. We called ahead and ordered the local specialty - lamb and veal cooked "under the bell". The veal was really good, but the lamb was overcooked for our liking (we prefer lamb pink, this was medium to well done), the sides substantial. We couldn't finish it all. The waiter was really helpful and was able to easily communicate in English, suggesting a bottle of wine for us.

Food was delicious. Lots of local options, keep in mind some of them are only available if you order in advance. Lamb wrap was excellent choice! Prices are way above the Croatian standard, so be prepared to pay the tourist fee. If you stay at any hotel nearby, there is a free car service to take you there and back.

The option for Muslim food is very, very limited but we do manage to have something catered to our requirement here. I love my tortellini, full of flavors and textures. The service is top notch, and the restaurant is a great place to relax after exploring the beautiful national park.

I was skeptical going inside as they had limited vegetarian option, but i was proved wrong. Food was so good. I had the grilled vegetables which so good . Spaghetti was also really tasty.

Had lamb stew with barley and a licka soup. Soup was good but the stew was too salty. They also serve bread with homemade cheese which was very nice.

Tasty food, especially local cheese and bread. Love to see meat being prepared in the fire. But especially highly appreciate staff and their outfits - they serve food to tourists / park visitors, not to opera / theater guests. Impeccable service, and a cozy ambiance. Very cheap cocktails, so you get to taste them all. The food was sadly not on par tonight. It started well with the cheese platter as starters. The honey was amazing, but I expected a little more variation with the cheeses. The pork tenderloin was dry, and wrapped with bacon that was tough. We did love the mash and other side dishes. The grilled squid was 'sandy'. At first I thought it was the salt that I added, but then I felt sand at each bite. So I scraped it off the squid before I took a bite. The cheesecake was delicious. So still a lot to improve, but for today it was just OK. 3*

We just had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. All of the food we had was super fresh and really really tasty. Big plus is also super friendly and hospitable staff. I will definitely make a stop here during my next trip to the seaside. Be prepared that you might need to wait for a few minutes but it is well worth it.

For starters, the cheese platter was really good. For mains, we didn’t particularly enjoy the choices we made for food (our fault) we would definitely go back to try the other different dishes that they offered. Other than this, the service and ambiance was great!

Degenija restaurant near Plitvice Lakes offers a fancy but pricier dining experience. The interior is lovely, and parking is ample. The food had its moments; schnitzel and fries were a bit oily, but the soup was tasty. Desserts, especially the cakes, were a highlight, and the pizza was good. Worth a visit if you're willing to spend a bit more.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay near the Plitvice lakes. They really have good dishes and the service was also good. You could also notice that they renew their menu regularily and they have creative dishes beside the tradtional croatia food. We tried trout and their pasta(pljukanci & gnocchi). Both were delicous. The bruschetta with local cheese was also a highlight. What we did not really favour may be the baklava. It was too sweet, but it could be just a personal thing. All in all I would like to visit this restaurant if I come to the Plitvice Lakes again.

The best food we've had in Croatia and the best service as well. We tried most of the local specialties - gulash, grilled cheese, muckalica and they were amazing. Make a reservation! We were a company of 7 and had to wait a bit to be seated on a Monday. Totally worth the wait. Highly recommended.

I came here with my family, we were starving and it was genuinely some of the best food we had in Croatia. The pasta was amazing, pizza was great. Nice outdoor/ indoor vibes, and very spacious restaurant and great for families. Staff was helpful in selecting halal options and discussing ingredients with us.

We are here twice and we’re blown away. This maybe the best meal we have had in Croatia. I started with the cucumber salad, it was so perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband started with the Greek salad, the shaved feta was delightful. Their baklava was really good, if from the states it’s like a combo of baklava and bread pudding. Seriously, a lovely treat. Also, I’d like to comment on the staff, everyone that works here is absolutely amazing, every single person that works here is so kind, accommodating, and makes you feel like family. I highly recommend this spot. A special thank you to our server along with the owner for taking the time to show us all the cool places he’s been. We really enjoyed talking with him, he’s lead a really cool and incredibly interesting life. When we come back to Plitvice we’ll definitely be stopping in.

Nice place to have a meal or a drink, it may be a little higher in prices compared to others but the quality is definitely better, considering they are getting their materials from local farmers and producers. The staff is very kind and nice, menus available in Italian, English, German and, of course, Croatian!

Wonderful experience, a traditional and warm place with very friendly staff. Many have a lot to offer, you can see the meat being prepared in the backyard and the mushroom soup is the best I've ever tasted! There is also free parking. Warmly recommend!

We stopped by for lunch and had a lovely meal. Service was amazing and very fast with friendly workers too. Food was delicious. Very good service, can recommend wine and food, takes in account gluten free restrictions / glutenvrij eten and has really, really good food! Also nice portions! Same with the wine!😉 The white wine Malvazija is a local dry white wine from North Croatia and is very great! The stuffed Pljeskavica is also delicious! They only had to change the young potatoes to potatoes from the oven because of the cross contamination in the fryer. But that is completely fine!

Stopped here after our Plitvice National Park visit and I must say, the food was phenomenal! Ordered the lamb on a spit meal and the flavours were heavenly, the meat just melted in your mouth, and the potatoes and grilled vegetables were the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend!

At the end of season it is one of the few places around that still has the traction and is open. We had dinner two nights in the row. The food is local and well prepared, staff is helpful, polite and speaks good English. They serve only local wines which is very lovely. I definitely suggest white “Pošip”!

Very decent roadside restaurant catering mostly to passing tourists, yet its not a typical trap, quite contrary. Food is good and aplenty, typical local dishes are on the menu. Focus mainly on meats with a small addition of fresh water fish. Prices are good.

To say this was a good meal would be an understatement. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the plates plentiful. Please order the platters. You will not regret unless you are on a diet and do not want to overeat. 10/10

We found the restaurant because of a recommendation of our accomodation. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, all the soup and Cevapcici with ajvar too. Hot chocolate and Aperol Spritz were good too. We'll be back next time.

Stopped here after half a day walk at Plitvice Lake. It has a very comprehensive menu. Food was OK. Couldn't ask for more considering the location. Service was poor, I guess partly due to how busy they were. Need to be patient with the staff and expect some attitudes. Restaurant was packed. Took quite a while to receive our food. We were rushing to finish off our meals so not to miss our coach. Would suggest not to eat here if you are not too hungry. Wait till you are back to the town area. If you plan to use the washroom, make sure you start queuing early. The queue gets very long. And I mean really long.

The cevapi totally convinced me 💯 It is a local type of sausage made of minced meat, this was accompanied with a thick sauce made of peppers which was tasty (not spicy)! The quality and portions are great while prices are very correct as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very local-like and I enjoyed it very much. The staff was welcoming, I recommend ☺️

A very nice restaurant offering mostly grill food. We tried pasta and pizza and it was very good. It's affordable, service is very good, fast, and they have a nice selection of beers and wines. Loved the Zmajska Pale Ale, a local IPA.

This restaurant was part of an excursion we took to Plitvice Lakes National Park. The lamb was on the spit and smelt incredible when we arrived. I ordered it immediately and was disappointed when it arrived cold. I thought the meat would be juicy and warm, but instead it was cold, dry and tough. Also it was very popular with tours which meant the toilets were in need of a good clean and with there only being two in the ladies, quite the wait to get in. Waiters were friendly and the atmosphere was good, very traditional restaurant but in all, not a great meal.

Absolutely fantastic! Richard was our server and did a fantastic job with suggestions. The squid was the best I have ever had, the veal was melt in your mouth delicious, the polichinka and baklava were a wonderful way to round out a delicious meal. Amazing dinner experience at Vila Velebita in Korenica! My server Mladen was so friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was so cozy and nice - just right for the location. I had the Plavac red wine, Cream of Mushroom soup, and Stuffed Pork Loin Filet. It was all delicious! But, the mushroom soup was probably one of the top 5 soups I’ve ever had. Highly recommend anyone visiting the area to dine here!

It was an amazing dinner. Without exaggeration, our most delicious dinner in Croatia. The waiter Igor is very attentive, sympathetic, pleasant, with a great sense of humor, he helped us navigate the menu and choose the best dishes. We were starving after 5 hours walk in the National Park and just jump to this restaurant which was in our way back to our cabin. Well, we left with very happy bellies. Ordered a meat and cheese cold plate for 2 and after a meat plate for 2. We, three, left nothing but thank you to the chef in our plates. Food is really good as well as the service. Definitely a place to go back!

The food tasted overall fine, though not perfect (the burger patty was too dry and the risotto very heavy, most probably prepared with heavy cream...). Portions were also too big for us. Prices are a bit high for a camping. Service was very friendly.

A very high class restaurant situated in Plitvice Camping with excellent restaurant prices and service. Very cozy and just perfect oase for couples coming with kids. We stopped for 2 hours driving back home and decided to have a stop here. Childrens playground and pool is available too. As for campers, or people wishing to visit plitvice lakes, a very modern and cozy appartments are available. Modern showers and laundry service is offered here as well. Truly amazing place with a new touristic concept not so often found in Croatia.

Nice setting, but completely overpriced for the quality they offer. The next door restaurant Degenija has the same prices but quality is much better! Apparently both restaurants belong to the same owner, so my advice to him: replace the cook as soon as possible!

It is part of Hotel Degenija. In the evening it was full for dinner. Luckily we had booked a table earlier since we were staying there. They were nice enough to pack veg sandwich for us in the morning which we could eat during our tour of Plitvice Park tour. During dinner we could have only salad and bruschetta since they had no other option in veg. The management should look into it. Luckily the wine was excellent. The breakfast quite good next morning. The service was fast and professional and ambience was very good. As it is there were very few restaurants in this area and it was most crowded.

This is a restaurant review. The trout filet was "pretty good but nothing to write home about." Lamb way too salty - I had to blend in ALL the sides, including the decoration greens and liberally splashed olive oil, to neutralize the heavy-handed salt. Mushroom gnocchi was alright. Wine was a highly recommended white, but tasted thin on my palate. And the "toasted rolls" appetizer turned out to be vegetarian egg rolls which, to a Chinese, is good but not amazing. Desserts were good, and the chocolate mousse was a standout. This restaurant is attached to a high-end hotel, and the ambience is decidedly white glove. The food did not stand up to the aspirations of the establishment. The waiter we had was exceptional.

We stayed for a week in Croatia, visiting Dubrovnik, Split and Plitvice National Park & Lakes. We enjoyed some lovely food during our trip but our dinner at Plum was by far our favourite. Everything we had was super delicious and beautifully presented. My husband said the dessert (Lemon merigue tart) was the best dessert ever. The service we received from host Dragan was first class - professional And friendly. Would love to visit again and thoroughly recommend this restaurant : x

The place is amazing, the food was so tasty, we had the lamb, risotto, and the gnocchi, all’s were lovely surprises (albeit a bit cold). The desserts we ordered were the chocolate mousse and the lemon tart, both were delicious. The waiter (Marin) was very pleasant and hospitable. The house wine were wonderful l. We will come back 😍

Lovely bistro with delicious food. Prices are quite reasonable considering the high standard. Started with a sharing platter with excellent cheeses and meats. The main course a butterflied trout, was fabulous, very tasty and fresh. Had the lemon Tarte as desert, which was also really good. Recommended!
