This little museum is absolutely fantastic. Not only for the quirky bubble & other tiny little cars, but all the other exhibits too which bring back so many memories. The lady who serves on the shop & takes your entry fee is so welcoming and very friendly too. Definitely worth a visit, and at £4 to enter, what's to lose even if it isn't to your liking. Though there's got to be something wrong with you if you don't like it.

A truly fantastic collection of cars and window displays. I strongly disagree with anyone that says £4 is not huge value for money for whats on display and £1 guide is a must have, explaining the history of the cars. The highlight of my visit was a trip out in one of the cars with Garry who IMO deserves a special mention for his knowledge and was a pleasure to speak with. Food was very good we had Soup and hot drinks. We spent a good 2 hours reading the guide as we walked around but it's a must stop even if you only have half hour to spare.

Brilliant visit to the Bubble Car museum, the owners are really friendly and it has and amazing collection of cars. They've also got collections of life in general on the 50's with bakolite plastic phones, a traditional kitchen and many other nuggets. There's a lovely tearoom onsite as well.
Robert Grigsby — Google review
I absolutely LOVED this museum! Full of amazing cars & kitchenware, games, appliances etc from the 50s & 60s. Worth every penny of the entry fee which is a steal at £4. Totally recommend ✨
Ruth Everett — Google review
The museum itself is based on the same premises as a camping park and cafe. The current cost to enter is £4 per adult. The cars themselves are in a good condition and the collection itself is interesting whilst not being overly large. To walk around the museum, probably takes about 20 minutes to half an hour. The disappointing thing about the museum is there are no displays with information on each vehicle, you have to buy an additional guide book to get this information. It maybe only a pound, but the visual displays in the museum could be better. An OK museum, but more a private collection of cars open to the public.

This was an awesome find when looking for things to do with my kids (M15&F13). It's a gem of a place not far from Boston. It is out in the countryside, with beautiful views, and space on site for a picnic should you go during nice weather. There is parking on site, a small cafe, gift shop, and toilet facilities. It is fantastic value for money, with a large display of various types of bubblecars and small vehicles. There is a guidebook that provides you with further information on the exhibits, along with some information alongside the displays. We spent a good couple of hours at the museum, and if you go on the days that they allow you to ride in some of the vehicles you could spend longer here.
Dan Wiltshire — Google review
This is a nice little place, £4 entry. it's a small museum but set up nicely with displays and not just the vehicles etc. There is a small cafe here selling cakes, sausage rolls, scones, tea, coffee, etc all for a reasonable price. There is a small little shop with a few cute little things to buy. The Gravel Car park is small but as you drive in the driveway you can park on the grass either side of it, so plenty of parking really if people park sensible. There is also a campsite located here, with toilets and shower facilities.
Amy Fevers — Google review
We first heard about this museum on Bargain Hunt and thought it could be interesting. It certainly is, and it is really a bargain price to enter. We decided to have a drink and something to eat and were pleasantly surprised by the prices, again very low. So, what are the drawbacks? Well, it is small, and you need to buy a £1 guidebook to learn about the exhibits as there is no information displayed. The exhibits are not typical museum fresh, rather more realistic with plenty of faded paintwork and scratches, etc, but that all adds to their charm. Then there are very limited opening hours, Friday to Sunday between 10 am and 4 pm only! Would we visit again? Too right, but not straight away as they will need time to change the exhibits. If you enjoy camping they also have a camping area.

This is the most amazing museum . A real gem and so affordable. The cafe is well priced too!! Such an assortment of items to see in addition to Bubble cars.

St Botolph's Church, also known as "The Stump," is a stunning 14th-century Gothic church located by the riverside in Boston. The church is steeped in history, with its construction dating back to 1309 and its tower being added in the early 15th century. Visitors can take guided tours of the church and climb to the top of the tower for sweeping views of the surroundings.
Beautiful unassuming church. In the small town of Boston, its in the city center, right off the river, it is highly accessible inside, right up to and past the alter. Beautiful inside and mostly untouched since it was built. A very nice place to visit.

14th-century Gothic church, with amazing wow factor when you walk in. Incredibly open, light and inviting. Staff on site were very helpful and enthusiastic. Nice little cafe open as well. The tower of St Botolph's Church is 266 feet 6 inches (81.23 m) high, making it the tallest parish church in England to its roof. My partner went to the top, amazing views, but a lot of steps and not for the faint hearted. A truly beautiful welcoming church.

Woo hoo I made it here and what a Church this is ! The Church of Saint Botolph , Boston affectionately known as the Stump is incredible . The building of the present Church is thought to have begun in 1309 but Christianity begun in Boston when the man himself Botolph or Botulph preached here and founded a Church . The name Boston itself is said to be derived from Botolphs Stone . The tower itself started in the early fifteenth century possibly by Reginald of Ely and what a sight it is even today . On the day I arrived it was a hive of activity based mainly around the cafe the staff were friendly , informative and nice . The slender pillars to the internal arches don't look strong enough to hold this place up and infact lean eastward noticeably , surely a miracle ! I loved the Reredos which I was told was actually not installed until the early twentieth century but certainly looked amazing . This is one cool Church and as already mentioned seems to be a centre of activity for the locals . The stained glass windows are beautiful the pulpit quite impressive . I loved the Byzantine style painting of Saint Botolph himself . The staff are great . This place is not only vast in size but beauty too well worth a visit .

Brilliant experience at the top of "The Stump". The stairs get pretty narrow at the top and it's a slow climb. Interesting "graffiti" on the walls spanning hundreds of years. Incredible views from all sides. Definitely not for small children. Well worth the £5.

We visited to see the Christmas tree festival & it was a bonus to peruse the craft stalls. Stopped for coffee & cake where it was lovely to be able to enjoy this space with our dog.

View from Tower amazing. We didn't get access to higher part. Only 200 steps up and down. But still It was worth visiting specially after todays Boston half marathon. So climbing up the steep stairs was great cooling down after the race

Biggest parish church in England? Very impressive, dog friendly and inside everyone was welcoming. Bolton itself is not looking great though.

ARK Wildlife & Dinosaur Park is a small park that has a variety of different animals you don't usually see. It's an enjoyable experience to be a zookeeper for the day and you can learn a lot about the animals and their habitats. The keepers are knowledgeable and friendly, and it's an excellent place to spend a summer day.
Went today and had an amazing time. Don't believe the negative reviews, they're unfounded. Spent 5 hours here but that included the ultimate encounter which is highly recommended. The 2 ladies that presented the encounter were great. They both had excellent knowledge and made the encounter fun and informative. Lunch was excellent in the cafe. The sanctuary is a sanctuary and not a big expensive zoo so don't get confused with what's on offer. The animals were all happy and well looked after. Like I say, don't be put off by the negative reviews. Your visit to places like this is essential so that they can keep up the good work they do. £9 for a good 2 hours entertainment is excellent value for money.
That Person — Google review
Had a wonderful time here today, it’s not your usual Zoo, they are clearly doing this for the animals not for entertaining people - I love that. It’s a shame the cafe doesn’t have more choice / the lighting in the room could do with modernisation but I’m sure it’ll come in time. I couldn’t recommend going more though, it’s a wholesome day out and we really loved the fox encounter. The girl was knowledgeable and clearly really cared for the animals. Well done for what they’re doing and all the animals they are saving!
Gabriella — Google review
This place is something quite special! It's more of a rescue centre than a typical zoo. The staff there all seemed friendly and welcoming, they have lots of different types of animals, a cafe, kids play area+softplay and toilets on site. Lots of great information boards at each enclosure that tells you all you need to know as well as how they ended up there. Its great for taking photos of the animals as well as just enjoying the atmosphere walking around. We loved walking around the lemur lake, very peaceful and lots of butterflies around. They also have some huge dinosaur models which are fun, a few are interactive too! Something fun for all ages here, we didn't have any kids with us and still felt welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed it! 5* place, so glad we visited.
Chelsea Wilkinson — Google review
Wonderful place to visit, I follow them on Facebook and they are always improving and expanding. They have added all of the dinosaurs now which looks super and the animals are very well looked after. You can even have experiences with some of the animals. The price is reasonable and the staff are fantastic and friendly. This is a little hidden gem.
Adam Barnard — Google review
Great place to see unusual animal species. Good to know they are being taken good care of after horrific starts in life. The animal keeper was very informative and fed the cat species and threw the food where we could see close ups of these beautiful creatures. Also she explained about the various scents they leave for them to discover and hides the food for them hunt for. A great day for the granddaughters also. One issue was the food... although it was very nice a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise but it was small and had no salad or dressing just the potato with a spoonful of tuna mayo. For £6.95 I expected a better presentation of the food. However it was a rainy day with thunder etc it was a bonus there was places to get under cover. Great would visit again but maybe not get food.
Julie Smith — Google review
People have to understand that this is not your typical zoo but a sanctuary for rescued animals! We had the most fantastic time with the zookeeper experience ! We fed skunks, porcupine and big cats, also going into the enclosure with the beautiful meerkats and foxes All the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and it’s obvious that they care so deeply about these beautiful creatures ! Wonderful job guys well done 👏 ❤️

We did the Arctic Fox experience for two, a new experience they are offering. Car park isn't ideal for low cars with a few potholes and mainly grass to park on. We were first welcomed by Raccoons then met by a Serval before meeting a staff member...amazing! The staff here were great and there's a lovely selection of wild cats and farm animals to see. Everything is laid out nicely and you can spend half a day here. The food facilities aren't the best but it is clear this is a new business and they are still clearly growing and I can't wait to see them grow. The arctic fox experience was great. First we prepped their food then went into their enclose with them to throw the food and watch them eat. You cannot pet or handle these guys! They are wild at the end of the day and not meant for human handling. Will return in the future to see how far they've grown. My favourite part... the book at reception that tells you where every single animal has come from.

Had a fantastic day being zookeepers for the day. Lots of animals that you don't usually see and as part of the experience we got to hand feed, prepare food for, and prepare enrichment activities for a whole range of different animals. Keepers were knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Chloe and all the team for a great day.
Stephen M — Google review
Absolutely amazing, there are animals there I've never seen before or even heard off and there are play areas for the kids, a cafe to get a nice drink and something to eat, they have an activity for the kids where they have to find 6 different stamps across the park and if they get all 6 stamps the kids get a prize. They even have an escape room which unfortunately I didn't manage to do this time but I'm definitely going back at some point to give that a go 🙂

AMAZING!! Visited the park today and had a wonderful experience meeting the Foxes, Dexter and Lana. Our Keeper was Libby, who made us feel very relaxed and gave us lots of interesting information about the foxes. It was a dream come true for us, getting up close to the foxes and even giving them treats. Afterwards we had a lovely lunch in the Cafe, then spent the rest of the afternoon leisurely walking around the park and saying hello to all the wonderful animals. Definitely made some super memories today. Would definitely recommend this park to all ages. Thank you to the lovely, welcoming staff for making our day so perfect!
Gill Jones — Google review
Lovely wildlife park where all the animals have been rescued. Dinosaurs were really good. We had a nice 3 hours or so seeing the animals and took a picnic lunch. Play areas dotted around too. No problem parking.
Lisa Jewitt — Google review
You have to go here with an open mind and think about what they’re trying to achieve. The animals are very well looked after and you can tell the staff are doing their best for them. The enclosures are well suited to each animal and the ones that need extra privacy and space are given just that. The whole place is quite big with different parts to explore, some of the displays are very informative and staff were all willing to give us backstories about the animals. The ONLY downside to the trip was the cafe, I don’t know if it was the time of day or time of year we visited (midweek in July) but there wasn’t a huge selection.

Maud Foster Mill in Boston is a towering windmill, boasting seven floors and serving as a prominent flour producer in Britain. Visitors can witness the flour-making process and indulge in the tea room on-site. During a recent visit, the mill's owner warmly accommodated those hesitant to climb its stairs, providing engaging company while others explored the captivating structure. Conversations with him revealed intriguing details about his family's lineage and the mill's impressive 202-year history.
Visited the mill bank holiday weekend. Truly magnificent. The owner was non-judgemental when I was too scared to climb the stairs (you can see through just the first few) and opted to sit and keep me company whilst my companion eagerly explored the building itself. I could have chatted to him for hours; his family history and the 202 year history of the mill was truly fascinating. Upon the owners recommendation, we explored the 8 sail mill, tea room and brewery; which we did and as he predicted; thoroughly enjoyed.

Maud Foster Mill, located in the charming town of Boston, Lincolnshire, is a remarkable testament to the area's milling heritage. This fully operational, five-sailed windmill offers visitors a captivating journey back in time, showcasing the beauty and ingenuity of traditional windmill craftsmanship. Maud Foster Mill also houses a charming tearoom, where visitors can indulge in delicious homemade treats and enjoy a well-deserved break. The tearoom's cozy atmosphere and friendly service complemented the overall experience, providing a delightful spot to relax and soak in the mill's ambiance. It's worth noting that the mill's operational schedule may vary, as it is dependent on wind conditions. However, even if the sails are not turning, the knowledgeable volunteers are always available to provide informative tours and share the mill's history, ensuring an enriching experience regardless of the wind conditions. One of the the finest and tallest windmills in the British Isles. Offers nice little shop on site and no under 18’s allowed inside the mill. Opening times: Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am-5pm

Our family enjoyed our tour of the mill and learned lots along the way. They were very understanding that the youngest two in our party didn't want to climb up any higher. Our daughter seemed more interested in drawing smiley faces in the flour on the floor but we had cycled a fair way so she was tired. I'd definitely recommend taking a tour but certainly not for young children, better for teens and older. Thank you for an interesting visit.

Great example of eco friendly engineering. I wish windmills could be built today. Let's hope we will see Maud Foster Windmill turning again soon. It would be lovely to see and hear the mill stones turned by wind. You need a head for hieghts, but well worth the climb to the top. I'll enjoy my breakfast oats I bought, knowing they came from the mill. A trip back in time to see and understand how old-fashioned engineering worked.
simon bradford — Google review
Fantastic to visit a real working windmill! Alas, no wind today, so we didn’t get to see it in action. Nevertheless, I learned so much. Fascinating to see a piece of historical engineering in good working order and have it all explained. Would definitely visit again if I’m around, preferably when it’s a little windy 😳. Constructed in the 1390s by St. Mary's Guild, the Boston Guildhall is a captivating edifice that houses the town museum. This ancient structure provides an opportunity to delve into Boston's significant role in history alongside the Pilgrim Fathers. It offers a splendid cultural outing where visitors can acquire profound insights into local history. Additionally, there is a well-stocked souvenir shop available for patrons to peruse and purchase memorabilia.
This place is like a Tardis. As well as being home to the tourist information centre, and museum it is a stunning historical building in its own right. Built in the 1390, when Boston as a trading power was second only to London. Stunning features, especially the upstairs room. Entrance is free and well worth the visit.

Most disappointing. We have followed the Pilgrim Fathers trail and this was to be the icing on the cake. So little to see compared to the Bassetlaw museum in Retford. The staff didn't appear to care whether we were there or not. Don't know what gift shop was referred to in a previous review. We had travelled over an hour to see this. Time and petrol wasted.

The Barley Mow is a delightful pub that offers mouthwatering meals made from locally sourced ingredients. The food is exceptional, with incredibly tasty flavors and generous portion sizes. Guests highly recommend this gem of a restaurant, which boasts a lovely conservatory and well-kept garden that contribute to its welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all patrons. Additionally, their sticky toffee pudding is described as the best ever tasted.
Well what a little gem of a pub. Went today on recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Nice welcome, had a drink whilst looking at the menu. We were there for lunch. Good selection of sandwiches if that's what you want or there was a heartier menu for hungrier tummies. Portions were huge, so bring your elastic waisted trousers hehehe. Car park was huge. Easy to get to.

Lovely country pub. We Booked for lunch here whilst having a short weekend break at the tower at wainfleet. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. The food was beautiful. Menu has a limited choice but its all cooked to order and delightful desserts! Would choose to dine here again.

Very nice meal for my wife's birthday she had fillet steak with chips and peppercorn sauce I had the slow cooked lamb shank with mash potato and roasted veg was very nice will return
Neil Harvey — Google review
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the lack of signage explaining how to enter the premises from the car park. Food was top quality, staff and service were excellent and very attentive but not too intrusive. It isn't the cheapest restaurant but if you want quality you have to be prepared to pay. £97 for two three course meals .
Joe Churchill — Google review
Simply perfect . The Barley Mow calls itself a "Pub and Restaurant". It's a clever and quite distinction as well as indicator of what to expect. Service is great from the start. You're invited to have a drink in the pub side whilst looking at the menu. Then place your order whilst there and shortly after someone will hush you to your table, carrying your drinks on a tray. Just that is a sign you're in for a great experience. Despite their young ages, the waiting staff is professional, attentive and friendly, without being intrusive ; that's great skills - Kudos Ryan. Food is spot on. We could recognise some French technique working fresh, local ingredients to perfection. We had a great experience, left content and eager to come again, to taste the Sunday roast. Advice: book a table! They are busy and it took us a few tries before we finally made it.
Jonathan Cellier — Google review
Lovely country pub feel, with a nice all round atmosphere. Staff could not be more attentive, they went out of their way to make the meal special. Food was cracking, we had three courses each and were very impressed. My only criticism was the sauce on the ribs, it was tomato based and a touch metallic tasting, despite this the ribs were soft and well cooked and the portion size was massive! We will definitely be visiting again 👍🏻
Ashley Elley — Google review
Absolutely wonderful. This was our first meal at the Barley Mow and my family and I could not fault our meal or the service . There is plenty of parking and set in a very pretty rural setting. We booked a 6PM table and on arrival we were politely greeted and seated straight away. The waiting staff were polite and attentive creating a very nice non rushed atmosphere. Our food was very nice and one of the best meals we have had. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality food available. I can highly recommend the Barley Mow and will be returning on our next visit to Lincolnshire.

We've missed out on having a Sunday lunch at this fantastic pub several times, as always busy, but on this visit we got lucky (We tend to make impromptu decisions when going for a meal, but I'd recommend booking in advance if traveling any distance). We decided to eat at one of the bar tables, rather than the main dining area, which is rather like a large conservatory. A bit cosy perhaps, but less busy, next to a window, and had a good warm atmosphere, Right from the beginning, service was excellent, with attentive, friendly and helpful staff taking our orders, and there for general chat. There were plenty of meat choices available for your roast, we both opted for the beef topside. Our food arrived within 10-15 minutes, which was perfect timing. The vegetable selections arrived separately in dishes, and like the main were equally well presented (see pictures). Everything was hot, and perfectly cooked, with proper roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding. The beef was a great choice, both tasty & tender, and the side vegetables, which included red onion were also very nice. I tend to eat with my eyes first, and this not only looked delicious, but tasted delicious too. Compared to some other pubs around in the area, it is slightly more expensive, but for food of this quality, it's well worth it, and clearly the reason it's always so busy. Since some of the others we've enjoyed around this area have now closed, we'll most definitely be returning here when we next get the opportunity. Fantastic food, warm & friendly atmosphere, perfect.

Booked in with super help from Pippa and Jayne. Dog friendly, with superb food, the belly pork is probably the best I’ve ever seen. We were made very welcome by all the staff who were patient with me as I couldn’t decide what to have from the mouthwatering menu. Beer was lovely, I do like Batemans beers and the atmosphere was bubbling. We were regularly checked by Jayne who enjoyed a bit of lighthearted banter with us. The place is spotlessly clean with a large car park and the outside areas from what I could see were well maintained and clean. We stayed the night in my motorhome and enjoyed a peaceful and secure night. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely return. It stands as a beacon for others to see that pubs/restaurants that are operated by the owner are the market leaders, this shines out with the level of commitment displayed by everyone involved in our visit.

If you’re in the area this pub is definitely worth a visit! Staff are friendly and polite! Food was absolutely delicious and they are very clued up on allergens, before I had a chance to ask about the chips being gluten free I was told they don’t have a separate fryer, therefore they weren’t suitable for me, however they did cook my sautéed potatoes which were delicious, also because I couldn’t have the onion rings I was asked if I wanted peas instead. Great service and delicious food, if we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely visit again.

First time there for dinner last night and wow what a fantastic place. We were greeted by such friendly staff, warm atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered far too much as we couldn't decide. Will be going back again. I have to say some of the best food I've had out in Lincolnshire and comparable with the quality of Jews House in Lincoln and Magpies in Horncastle.

Yesterday, we had a satisfying lunch at Ye Olde Red Lion pub. The service was exceptional, with attentive and amiable staff. Despite my dietary restriction as a gluten-free diner, the waitress made sure to consult the chef before taking our order. I opted for the gluten-free fish and chips which tasted remarkably similar to the regular version. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and appreciated the effort put in to provide gluten-free options.
Booked for lunch yesterday and we weren't disappointed. Service was very good and staff friendly. I am gluten free which wasn't a problem. The waitress checked with the chef before I ordered. I had gluten free fish and chips, they tasted just like ordinary fish and chips. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and I was impressed the trouble they went to ensure I had gluten free food. Well done. Will come again definitely.

Very disappointing indeed. We have used this pub many times before and returned because of its excellence Our food today was cold, served on cold plates and we sent most of it back The manager was apologetic, of course, citing many positive comments from others. This didn't help as our lunch was ruined To her credit, she did deduct the cost of the mains. Sadly, really, we will not return.

Absolutely love this pub. From the minute we walked in , it felt like the place gave you a big hug. Lovely atmosphere, staff lovely. Very cosy feeling. We had the Sunday lunch & we both throughly enjoyed it, in fact best Sunday roast I've ever had. Nothing disappointing from start to finish. Would highly recommend 👌🏽 well done 👏🏽 we will be returning ! Top marks !

**This review has been deleted on google** We had a booking for 12:30pm and arrived early at 12pm. The restaurant was empty but for a handful of diners. The waitress placed us on the worst table for two in the pub. She asked if this table was ok. I said no can we be moved to the table on the other side of the partition wall which was empty. She said no because someone has asked for the table when booking. However there was no reserved table sign on the table. The other tables of two which were better located were all empty as well. I am Indian so did she display unconscious racism by placing us on the worst table. When all the other tables for two were empty. I showed my disappointment in her placing us at this table when the restaurant was empty. She came back be placed us on another table for two which was on the other side of the partition. After when other white customers for a table of 2 came into the restaurant, they were not placed on the bad table which we were placed on. Even two old white ladies who were there before us weren’t seated at this bad table which is in a pathway to the other tables. They had arrived before us. I would understand if the pub was busy and then given this bad table. But to offer the bad table to the brown customer is bad practice. I think it’s unfair to be treated this way because of their unconscious racism. This did ruin the meal for me. This was our first time in Bicker. We were on our way to Sandringham for the Robbie Williams concert.

Expected good things from a award winning pub left feeling disappointed, had a hour wait for dinner which I could understand as the place was busy being it was Easter Sunday but to wait another hour for cheesecake was totally unjustified felt sorry for the young staff who were serving or would of scored lower the lunch wasn't the best but the cheesecake was good

Having looked at the December sample menu, we called in the hope of finding a table at very last minute and the lovely lady on the phone was only too happy to accommodate us at such late notice. We arrived 20 minutes later to a warm welcome and such cosy surroundings. Having never been here before we were shown to our seats, advised that the menus change every two weeks and sometimes dishes are replaced every few days. Wow, what a menu. No sign of pate, soup of the day as starters, or ham egg and chips on the mains. Instead what greeted us was a menu full of delicious dishes, with options of having a tapas style evening or traditional three course. Tonight we opted for three courses of gastro delight. We both had the scotch egg to begin, accompanied with the endless dish of firm, juicy olives. The scotch egg itself was delicately seasoned with a delicious fondant egg. Alongside was the homemade piccalilli. For mains my husband had the filet stake with trimmings which he said was delicious. I had the seabass with fondant potatoes which was cooked so well and I left nothing. Finally even though there was no space, we couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding having seen it pass us to other tables. It was such a light sponge, plus the ice cream allowed me to indulge in more. In summary this is not your traditional pub fayre, but a higher end restaurant with seriously good food, a wonderful setting and fantastic staff. We will be going again.

Excellent food, pleasant & helpful staff, reasonably priced! Lovely atmosphere. Definitely want to eat here again! We’ve now been here a few times & the food is always excellent, we’ve had everything from Christmas Dinner to BBQ food & it is amazing every time! They now have an American Smoker & have been smoking their own sausages for their BBQ today! Those sausages are the best sausages I have ever tasted & even my 1 year old LOVES their food! Staff are so lovely, friendly & very professional. They take pride in their work & it shows! Chef Marcus has a tremendous gift for providing a unique & amazing culinary experience from presentation down to flavour! They have adapted amazingly well to Covid restrictions & feel very safe eating here with my 1 year old! Thank you all for your continued hard work & sticking out the pandemic!

Absolutely fantastic place to dine. Service is relaxed and very friendly. Atmosphere is tip notch, very cute and cozy nooks to be seated. Good selection of drinks and extremely nice host. Would very much recommend this specific establishment.

My friends and I have eaten here on a few occasions and it has to be one of the best places to eat in this area! Definitely beats most of the restaurants in Boston. Absolutely delicious food and great service. Probably a little pricey for some but you get your moneys worth as the portions are very generous and you will enjoy every single bite! Love this place and would eat here breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could.

The Ball House is a popular eatery located near a well-known garden center. Customers are pleased with the warm and friendly welcome they receive from the staff. The restaurant offers delicious homemade food, including classic pub favorites like fish and chips. The menu also has other tasty options to choose from. Visitors highly recommend trying the fish and chips, as they are well-cooked and flavorful. Additionally, the restaurant has an interesting history behind its name, which adds to the overall enjoyable experience.
Hubby and I called in after deciding not to eat at the `well know ‘ garden centre up the road, we are so pleased we did. The welcome was warm and friendly and all the staff were so good. Fish and chips Friday is a must, our food was well cooked, hot and very tasty, highly recommended. The menu had the classic pub favourites but with the added bonus, being homemade. I’m sure all very good, going by the quality of our fish and chips. Highly recommend and history behind the name added to a most enjoyable visit. Thank you all at The Ball House.

Ok, so , I want to be honest here. I’ve never been in this place, seen it all my life and used the car park probably a hundred times as a meeting place. The young man opened the door and was more than welcoming. I mean he really was. The trouble is, the place was freezing and all we went in for was a cup of tea and I think it was from a machine and it tasted of hard water. I don’t want to leave this place a bad review but I do write reviews and it was certainly bad tea. The boy with the pierced eyebrows was lovely though.

My husband and I had the pleasure in dining in your restaurant on 11.1.22. My husband had the rib eye steak and said it was the juiciest and best steak he had ever tasted. I had the burger which was mega and couldn't be faulted. The chips and onion rings were lovely as well. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service was excellent and the sweets were as good as well and each one came with jug of cream. Hopefully it won't be long before the Ball House returns to its glory days

Perfect spot if you are looking for a quiet meal or have a drink to relax. We just ran across The Ball House and I am so glad we did. Truly authentic English pub meal with local beers to sample. When you walk in you feel like you step back in time. A roaring fire in the fireplace, a lovely man behind the bar, it felt like a movie.

We have been to the Ball House today with family for my wife's 50th birthday. The place itself has been refreshed and looks fantastic. Everybody commented how delicious the carvery was. We were really well looked after and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you.

We held Mum's wake here yesterday . Andy & the team were very helpful right from our first phone call. We had the pub to ourselves & the buffet was perfect, a good mix of hot & cold food. A memory table was set up for us which made a lovely touch. Thank you all

Not the first time we've been here, but the first time we've taken the dog with us. We were all made to feel welcome...the dog was definitely spoiled! Food was lovely as always. Regular portion was ample for us, although there is the choice of a large if required. Staff are all very friendly, pleasant and helpful.

Such a disappointment! We arrived at 6:45pm on a Friday evening, to a completely pub! We were sat at a table next to the window…. we know the trick is so people outside can see others in the pub. Drinks were ordered and we began to review the menu, once we peeled it from the sticky table! Good choice on the menu, but I felt was overpriced, any how, we ordered. I ordered trio of sausages, and my husband gammon- so to review the food…nothing to complain about the sausages- they were from Mountains- the mash took over half the plate and was a Luke warm slop, carrots were just off raw and had dried out, and peas are peas. The gravy came in a cute little pot which was too hot to touch- clearly microwaved, and as I went to pour the gravy using my napkin to protect my hand, it wouldn’t come out of the pot!! I stirred it and teased it out of the pot in what can only be described as brown lumps. In terms of the gammon meal, the tomato was just off raw, fried egg was flipped and cooked on both sides so was hard. Gammon steak was in fact a gammon slice. Not a single person came into the pub whilst we were there, and if this is the quality of the food at high prices, I can see why. All I can say is the Sunday carvery must be good to keep this place open.

An excellent Sunday Carvery. Three different meats Plenty of fresh vegetables Three different priced portions Very well attended to by the Staff. I do not like to recommend "Eating Establishments" . But !!!! This One..... "One" Should Try!!!

We booked for 4 for Sunday Lunch. They have 2 sittings, 12 till 2pm and 2 pm till 4pm. Plenty of parking space and easy to get to. We were placed in the back room with no heating, it was a little chilly , we thought we had made a mistake booking here. But soon we had other thoughts, The food and staff were fantastic. My mother is elderly and needs assistance. The staff picked up on this and was there without asking to offer her help to dish up and carry her food back to the table. The staff were very observant seem to be able to read your minds when needed, very polite . Good value and plenty of variety. The only negative thing I could day about my experience is it was a little cold with limited heating on a winters day

Visited The Wheatsheaf Inn for lunch today and was warmly greeted by a friendly staff member. We were promptly seated and placed our orders. The food arrived quickly and was incredibly tasty. The standout dish was definitely the chunky, crispy chips with a soft, fluffy center - they simply melted in your mouth. The portions were generous and offered great value for money. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this place is worth the trip.
Big thanks to Anthony and all the other staff that made us very welcome. The food is absolutely superb. You will need to book for the burger nights on Tuesday and steak nights on Wednesday. Full menu also available. We ended eating here 3 nights in a row during our holiday 😊. Dog friendly eating area inside too🐕.

Popped in for lunch today and was greeted by a friendly face and a smile. We were shown to a table and they took our order. Food was quick and was absolutely delicious. The chips are the star attraction, chunky brown crispy chips with a soft fluffy centre. Melt in your mouth delicious. Generous portions and great value for money. Worth a trip whether it's a quick bite or a long lazy lunch/dinner.

Food was absolutely brilliant. Probably one of the nicest steaks I've EVER had and cooked to absolute perfection. We loved it so much here that we've booked a big table of 16 of us in February and can't wait to return! Also the staff are fabulous and so friendly.

I only live 10 minutes up the road and have been meaning to try the food out for ages. I wish u had done it sooner as it was amazing. I had a sirloin steak, and It was cooked perfectly how I wanted it. My partner had a burger and looked amazing too with great presentation. Doombar on draft was a bonus for me too 😁. Very happy and will be back again soon. 😁👌🍻🍻

We visited the Wheatsheaf Inn on Wednesday this week whilst on holiday and it was steak night and secured 2 rump steaks with all the trimmings for £22.00 for 2 the steak was excellent and the chips and trimmings well complimented the steak. We back the following night and had the haddock it was freshly amazing. We are in Boston in June and will back to the Wheatsheaf Inn.

Myself and partner travel over 30 miles to eat here. One of the best food pubs around. A proper pub rather than a frilly lettuce establishment with wholesome food. I recommend booking to avoid disappointment as it can be very busy. Biggest issue? They ran out of pie one of the times I was there!!!!!

Visited with my mate and his daughter. Great food - really tasty. Only advice to visitors who have the Sunday roast: don’t have breakfast! The portions are massive. Will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely meal here with family. The inn was warm, the staff were pleasant and the food was amazing. We had heard nothing but good reports about the food and we were pleased with just how good it was. Good portions and good price too. The staff were very busy which slowed down service a bit but nothing that is worth complaining about and completely understandable. The only grumble I did have is that they had run out of sticky toffee pudding but we will definitely be going back again soon. Go and try it for a meal, you will be pleased you did
