Pub
Restaurant
The Blue Bell Riverside Restaurant, also known as Mishka Pub, offers perfect portion sizes and flawlessly cooked food. The desserts are particularly delightful. The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. It's a go-to spot for couples looking for a well-deserved night out with delicious home-cooked meals. The Fillet Steak is especially outstanding, considered by some to be the best they've had in a long time.
Lovely meal here. Everyone's food was amazing. The place itself looks lovely and service was great. Will definitely come again.

Food great, gyro, burger, mixed grill burger and risotto. Service (Lauren) brilliant. Ate very early in the evening, so no atmosphere built up, but it didn't matter.
Val Ballantyne — Google review
My wife and I needed a well deserved meal out and Mishka is out ‘go to local’ place for a freshly home cooked meal with a great atmosphere where service is always 2nd to none! I love my Fillet Steak and last tonight’s was the best I’ve had in a long time! (I even gave the wife some to try it was that good) We got Rich the chef, Lauren and the lovely girl in the front bar a well earned drink! Cheers and book is in for best week Thankyou 5 stars all day long!

A lovely festive lunch in the Blue Bell Restaurant which is behind the bar area of Mishka and bears the name of the former River head Pub in Driffield. Beef perfect, pink and tender. Vegetables cooked aldente, portions good 👍 Some of our party also had desserts which they said were delicious. Staff really friendly and professional. The restaurant area is large and on the day we ate the number of tables and people talking together meant that for me, the atmosphere was just a bit too noisy, but I have tinnitus and prefer quiet.

We had a lovely meal here! The portion sizes were just right, all the food was cooked perfectly and pudding was delicious! Very friendly staff, we'd definitely come again.

Lovely warm atmosphere, warm welcome from the staff. Food was fresh, tasty, they do two menu's, a lunch and evening. We had lunch, definitely want to try evening.

Incredible food, fantastic service. Try the ham & brie starter with chutney. It's too die for! The mushroom and pesto linguine was one of the best pasta dishes I've tried in a long time.

Lovey piping hot Sunday dinner.. Our first time here today and we will definitely be going back for more. Lovely clean place with nice beer garden too and a short stroll from the beautifully clear canal. Marvellous place 👍🏻

Turned up without a booking, and the very helpful staff squeezed us in. Quirky, friendly pub / bar / restaurant. Chose from the street food menu and was very pleased. Enjoyed everything. Will visit again.

Fish and chips takeaway
Finding a place to dine with a one-year-old grandchild can be challenging. However, Stuarts of Driffield Fish & Chips offers the convenience of online ordering (contact number: 01377 253224). Their fish, chips, and curry sauce served in a box are exceptional. Situated near the coast, this establishment stands out among competitors for their delicious seafood fare. The portion size is generous, particularly with their sizable haddock.
Always feel welcome. Fantastic staff and food. Thank you 😊 not always easy to go somewhere to eat with my one year old grandson. Always willing to make my visit stress free
pamela phillips — Google review
Sadly not many independent chippys left in the area, Stuarts seem to have taken over, but hey, if you love yesterdays chips recycled today, get yourself to Stuarts at around 5pm. Twice in a now we've had horrid fish and chips from Stuarts, chips burnt, dry and clearly last nights left overs or if not just shockingly bad and a dry flaky fish made up of 60% batter. Even my kid who loves chips wouldn't eat them. I contacted Stuarts via social media to see if they would put it right at £20+ each time but they decided they would rather not bother replying.

A great end to the day, found a lovely friendly chip shop in Driffield. Got a spam and chips; the food is enjoyable and not greasy.

My second time here and both times the food has been amazing. Very friendly staff and very good value for money with massive portions!

Wow. We regularly go for a motorcycle group meet . 32 of us this time. Into the restaurant and seated quickly . The food , staff and service is brilliant . Senior special for me as I'm a small eater ... lol well that went wrong . The senior special is massive . Fish chips and gravy and a pudding . ( 10 choices of pudding . ) portions are very good whatever you order . Toilets are lovely and clean , regularly checked by staff. Well worth a visit .
Teddy On Tour — Google review
Nice fish and chips which are fried to order so they're piping hot. Batter isn't too thick and the fish is chunky. Nice patties and scraps too
Dave Cole — Google review
My wife and myself had pensioners meals this afternoon and what amazing value. Beautiful haddock fillets, perfectly cooked, ample delicious chips, tasty mushy peas and a slice of bread and butter each plus a pot of tea to share. I had sticky toffee pudding and cream for dessert and my wife had cheesecake and cream and both were totally delicious. Unbeatable value served in a pleasant environment by pleasant staff. Well done!
Ian Donaldson — Google review
Lovely food in good portions, I really liked the smoked haddock and leek gratin but had to take it home to finish. Puddings on our table were good and the oldies on our party love the senior citizens special! The kids' fish and chips meal is the perfect portion size. Will definitely return on future trips to see those particular oldies!

What a great chip shop.. We were staying locally on holiday (up from Southampton) and were looking forward to visiting a chip shop up north. This one did not disappoint at all, the prices were good, the food was good, it had a great selection with a choice of takeaways or eat in, They give you a bag of scraps for free if you want one and the gravy is very highly recommended. They guy cooking the food in the takeaway was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure everyone got what they wanted and all the food was cooked fresh. If I had anything to recommend it would be the option to buy a large or standard portion of chips but that’s just because I’m greedy and love chip shop day.
Simon Betteridge — Google review
The food was amazing! I ordered the prawn thai red curry which was amazing. Others with me got the fish and chips. For the price: amazing. The portion sizes are big which makes it even better. Great service and friendly staff! Would love to come again.

It’s been a long time since we have paid a visit here, so we thought it was time to do a review. Starters. Prawn Cocktail The prawns were well presented in a glass with crisp lettuce and side serving of bread. They were fresh, tasted great and a generous serving. Homemade fish cakes The homemade fish cakes were presented well with fresh salad. They tasted great, we’re light and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside and worked well with the salad. They also came as a generous portion for a starter. Mains. Jumbo cod and chips The fish was HUGE this is definitely a portion for two. Although the fish tasted fresh, not too greasy and was nicely battered. Scampi Biggest portion of scampi I’ve seen. Freshly cooked, nice and crisp and tasted nice. The restaurant has a lovely modern interior which is crisp and simple. The staff are polite and friendly and are willing to help in any way they can. Overall the food was good, the staff are excellent the restaurant is clean and tidy. However our main criticism is the portions of food. We were looking forward to a desert however there was simply not enough room left. We would be happy paying the same for less food because it’s great value for money.

Awesome fish dinner, I always go back when I'm I'm the region.

Just had fish, chips & curry sauce all in a box and it was amazing. I live by the coast and despite some strong competition, this was one of the best fish and chips I've had. The portion was huge including a very large haddock. Reasonable price too, at only £7.80 for the lot I'll be coming here frequently.

Lovely friendly staff and excellent service. Nice coffee and food is ok, but thomas the bakers food is much better but unfortunately opens an hour later.
Michael — Google review
Ordered a sausage, bacon and egg sandwhich, with extra bacon and sausage, to take out the other day. The sandwich only came with no extra sausage, only one slice of bacon and no egg! Unsure if it they were training up a new starter either, but the more experienced server had to keep asking what I wanted on it too, as it was being made! Adding insult to injury. Save your money on things that need making up, like hot food and go next door to Gregg’s. Great for cheese straws.

Pitty we don't have these over in Liverpool. Love the toffee and chocolate danishes. Delish!

Lovely fresh cakes, friendly service and good prices. What's not to like!

My husband got a ham salad on a large white bap. It was appalling. It was a large bap but the same filling you'd put in a standard size sandwich only worse. It was about £4! Christ if you can't make a decent sarni then there's no hope
Debbie Wharrie — Google review
Very fresh food, polite staff, wide range of selections. Will definitely come back

Friendly environment. Food fairly standard. I ordered a prawn omelette (main meal) and received a very small meal - I could have definitely eaten at least three of these. Nice outdoor area tucked away for eating in the sunshine.
Martin Green — Google review
Popped in on the off chance whilst in the town centre and was very happy with the food and service at the Secret Garden. In true form, there is a secret garden out the back which is a wonderful addition and draw in the warmer months. I had some savoury mince in a giant Yorkshire pud, and it was delicious. Does exactly what it says on the tin and I was well sated for a very modest sum.

Lovely vintage café with excellent customer service, great coffee and home baked cakes. A safe yet still cosy place to meet for breakfast, tea, coffee or lunch. Highly recommended.

What a hidden gem, with an olde world ambiance. Impeccable service with such attention to detail. We arrived just before mid-day or ‘on the cusp’ as our attendant jovially put it - so we had a choice of either the breakfast menu or the lunch menu. Our food was fresh, tasty and good value. Thank you Molly and Jean our lunchtime experience was over and above our expectations …. In the words of Arnie ‘We’ll be back’

Italian restaurant
Marco Polo Pizzeria is a traditional, unpretentious eatery that offers both pub and restaurant-style dining. Its warm and welcoming ambiance ensures that every guest feels right at home. The diligent staff go above and beyond to cater to patrons' needs, making their experience enjoyable. This bustling establishment boasts a charming atmosphere with attentive waitstaff who provide excellent service. While the bruschetta starter may lack excitement, it consists of bread topped with underripe tomatoes and cheese before being toasted.
Lovely Valentine night meal. Service was good as was the food and wine. Slightly disappointed with the Tiramasu as it was still frozen and this affected the taste. The bill was not itemised, but rather just prices listed, which can be worked out, but would be better itemised.
Cheryl Bates — Google review
A cold Monday night saw us visit Marco Polo’s for a meal out. I have been loads when I was younger and nothing much has changed. We rang up and booked ahead of time and then on the night was greeted by a few staff members. We were hosted by a new starter and was her first ever table! We ordered some starters and mains to come out all at once which they were happy to do. Food came out after about 15 minutes and all had great taste barring the fried squid which admittedly was somewhat bland. Everything is priced well too which is great. You can also book party bookings. Will definitely be back for sure!
Joe Leslie — Google review
Busy restaurant and very pleasant attentive staff. We tried the bruschetta starter which was ok, bit boring, bread with underripe tomatoes and cheese on top then toasted. Main course we had lasagne which was very good. Bottle of prosecco, again good for the price. Will happily go there again.

Excellent top quality food, haven't been there for about 10 years, nothings changed excellent place
Mark Pitman — Google review
Very disappointed...it is usually really nice but the mussels were just shells, the chips were rock hard and the pasta dishes were tastless and awful. The restaurant was also freezing and we were sat with coats on whilst eating.
Gemm morgan — Google review
Always a great meal out. Reasonable prices, they have happy hours with some pizza and pasta dishes being cheaper!! Staff are always friendly and polite. Food is freshly cooked and comes out in good time even when the place is packed. We have been going for years and will keep going back.
Charlotte Payne — Google review
Started out ok. Restaurant was obviously busy but we were seated at our booked table promptly and politely. Drinks were ordered and was going well, garlic bread starter and a bowl of olives were good. On to the main, Calzone,.....poor. half filled to the point the ends had no filling whatsoever. Filling all in the centre and upon digging sat on the top was what can only be value wager thin ham??? Seriously an Italian restaurant should be serving a good quality Prosciutto. Not the cheapest on the market. The wife's tagliatelle was equally as disappointing, bland and salty. 3* at best. Could be do much better if care was taken in kitchen.
Chris Clark — Google review
Great food at good prices served by efficient and friendly staff.
