Seafood restaurant
Restaurant La Bocana is a delightful eatery that offers a delectable dining experience for groups of four. The service provided is exceptionally warm and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Opting for the 23 set menu option provides an impeccable meal with outstanding quality. The snails are particularly impressive and scrumptious. Furthermore, the paella designed for four people is generously portioned, which may necessitate leaving some behind due to its sheer abundance.
Lovely meal for 4. Service was very friendly and accommodating. We went for the €23 set menu option and cant fault the quality of the meal. The snails were amazing and delicious. The paella for 4 was massive and we felt guilt for leaving some as it was just to much for us all to eat. The staff were super friendly and even though they did not speak great English the whole ordering process was so easy. Thankyou for a great meal and would totally recommend to anybody thinking of going.

We stopped here on our way to Barcelona from Valencia, and I have no regrets. The food was PHENOMENAL and super cheap. 18€ for 1 appetizer, 1 entree and a full bottle of wine. The flavor was amazing. If I could give 6 stars, I would!

Very nice staff. Everything was super good, we had a great lunch! Beautiful terrace with great views. The paella was amazing, so was the octopus and the “calamares a la romana” I would highly recommend this place! One of my favorites so far.

What a great discovery. We loved to eat all the fresh products from this area. Loved every single plate, octopus rice is 10/10.

Waste of money. We came here for dinner around 19:30 and were told they didn't open until 20.00. Came back at 20.00 and got a table. Due to Covid 19, menu is via scanning of a QR code and then you can browse the menu on your phone. But why didn't they put just one menu up on a wall or a sign, that would make it much easier (and still safe when there are no other guests). I ordered a tuna steak (18 euro) and my wife ordered a tapas plate of 8 large shrimps (13 euro). They came after some 30 minutes. No bread came, so I had to ask "could we have some bread" and the answer was "yes" and along came a basket with two sorry pieces of bread, that may have been fresh in the morning. The tuna was really chewy (hard to cut out), and I eventually left about half of the two steaks. When the lady came to take away they plates she didn't even bother to ask whether fodo was ok, but only asked if we wanted anything else. Seriously - if you leave half the food un-eaten, you are either not hungry, or there is something wrong. Given we were the only customers for the first 45 minutes in the restaurant, it's amazing how little attention we got. We eventually got a bill of 40 euro for 8 large shrimps (that were ok), a lousy tuna steak and two cokes. Even had to pay 2 euro for two pieces of bread. No tips given (I almost always pay tip), and I recommend you guys to spend your money elsewhere, where staff may be more welcoming and food better. (next-door is La Poniente where we started with a drink, but decided to go next door because it looked more like a restaurant. Later La Poniente was full of people eating, so possibly a better place).

The experience at Restaurant Mestral was fantastic. The cuisine was uncomplicated but expertly prepared, with dishes like the Croqueta and muscles in salsa marinera standing out as particularly enjoyable. The sole (linguado) was cooked to perfection, boasting a simple yet flavorful and delightful taste. Although there was a slight delay in service initially, it quickly improved and proved to be satisfactory. A family dinner featuring the 20 menu showcased high-quality food alongside excellent service, making it highly recommended.
Repetiremos seguro. The wine did not enter it. Everything exquisite. I refer to the photographic evidence. The price is adequate: about 45 per person. The quality is not cheap. We will repeat for sure.

It was great! Simple cuisine bit really Well done. The Croqueta was pretty good, the muscles with salsa marinera were amazing and the sole (linguado) was perfectly done, simple, flavorfull and delicious. 4 Stara because I had to wait 10 minutes for waitress to come, but after that the service was good.

Me pedí crema catalana. Recomendable, buen local si no quieres comer en plena calle en verano! (Translated by Google) A pleasant place with a large window that overlooks a parking lot, it is in the center of the town. Being on the first floor, it does not have bad vision. Good separation between tables. Good treatment from the person who attends the reception and collection. Excellent treatment from the service staff. Letter or menu I decided on the menu which is good, you come out eaten! For my taste, the brothy lobster rice lacks a little more power in flavor, and the lobster is small! You pay €6 supplement. All good and well served. There is no dessert photo, I didn't see anything relevant. I ordered Catalan cream. Recommended, good place if you don't want to eat on the street in summer!

(Translated by Google) Nice family restaurant, very well attended and with a magnificent product. We have tasted the (very complete) menu of the ), for the main course some wonderful galeras with samfaina, and as the main course a good monkfish rice and galeras (some peeled and others not), for dessert a cream cheese with dulce de leche (too sweet for me). All this accompanied by a white wine from Altavins that went very well. We liked a lot. We will definitely return to taste other dishes on the menu.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch while driving to Valencia and it was wonderful. They have English menus and a few members of the staff spoke enough English to tell us about our meal. They were having a "swim with tuna" giveaway the afternoon we were there which was fun to experience. The food was very good, I haven't had a lot of tuna (tuna is their specialty) but my husband loves it so we ordered a starter of tartare and then I had the poached tuna in a tomato sauce, I think it's called the fisherman's way and my husband the sea bass. I really enjoyed both types of tuna and my husband liked the sea bass but was jealous of my tuna dish. I felt so welcome here and really enjoyed the experience and atmosphere.

The negative feedback regarding this establishment is perplexing. The Galician octopus dish was truly outstanding! The sparkling wine sangria, absolutely superb. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I don't understand the low reviews here. The pulpo Gallego was phenomenal! The sangria de cava, fantastic. Loved it!

The worst dining experience I have ever had in my life! First, we asked what time the restaraunt was open until as it was a bit late. Waiter told us about 12am. The time was 10pm so me and my family decided to eat here. Waiter tried to entertain us with small talk bravado but it just came across very strange? We asked if it was possible to do meat only paella with chicken and chorizo, the waiter asked the chef who said yes. We placed our orders and when the starters arrived was very surprised that my mother and father who had ordered the same as me - prawns fried in garlic, had different dishes. We asked the waiter why and he said "because you ordered of the set menu it's a higher quantity but less quality... and vice versa." This was when the waiter proclaimed "I've been barred from the kitchen but I make the best Irish coffee's - you can even see the whiskey at the bottom" (again, strange bravado & that is how Irish coffee is supposed to look) My brother in law ordered the asparagus, 5 asparagus tips arrived - which cost €8. My partner ordered the house salad, which turned up with Tuna & Asparagus on - but only cost €5.50!?!?!? We were then told that we need to finish our starters because the paella is ready and we need to eat it now. Luckily, the 3 of us who ordered paella had JUST finished our starters. They brought out paella and put it on the table, didnt offer to serve the portions. We dished up ourselves and found it tasted very poor and more like a rissoto than a paella. There was no chorizo and when we asked what meat was in it - the waiter said lamb and beef!? However, there was no lamb or beef! It was clearly pork! My mother had ordered the sausage. What arrived was two undercooked frankfurters. Nothing like the pictures/description on the menu. She had to ask for it to be sent back and re cooked twice. Upon returning the second time the waiter proclaimed "I kicked the chef out of the kitchen and cooked this one myself" - (although he was barred from the kitchen?) During this escapade of the back and forth sausage..... My father, who had not yet finished his starter was brought his main out. He was handed it across the table with his starter still infront of him. So there he was, with a plate of prawns on the table and a tuna steak in his hands. My girlfriend had ordered the grilled hake. It arrived battered and deep fried. To be fair, the hake was okay. However, it was not what she ordered. My father said his tuna steaks were okay too. I was massively disappointed with my meal and the service and urged everyone not to spend a penny more. However, many people wanted a dessert. The waiter described the desserts on the menu..... bearing in mind the waiter was English he described: "Egg white cake with lemon" - do you mean meringue - "Yeah" "Egg yolk with sugar on top" - do you mean custard, crem bruleu - "Yeah" And my personal favourite: "Tiramasu" - we have high standards for tiramisu- "Oh, well it's not home-made, it's just a slice from the shop" We then tried to order the infamous Irish coffee we had heard so much about only to be told no. We must wait. The desserts must come first. The desserts were just as bad as the rest of the food. Then something that I have never seen in my life: Whilst eating the desserts, one of the chefs walked through the Restaraunt, right past our table pushing a full wheelie bin to be emptied outside the restaurant! Absolutely disgusting. We then had our chance to sample the Irish coffee which arrived nothing like described. At this point the waiter arrived and explained that the Irish coffee didn't look as good as he promised as his boss told him to hurry up as he wanted us to leave. This was at 11pm. No apology. Nothing. We pointed out that we asked what time they were open until when we arrived and that the whole night was unnaceptable. He said that he had a call from his wife and everyome had to leave. The staff then arrived with take out food from a kebab shop - they didn't even want to eat the food from their own restaurant.

Our Paella was burnt and the Chef (?) just told us to scrape off the top. You may know when rice is burnt, not just the bottom tastes bitter. He tried to convince us the paella has to be like this. Inacceptable.
