Pizza restaurant
Central Theater Café is a sophisticated eatery that offers a variety of regional delicacies such as pasta, dumplings, and grilled meats. The elegant dining room is adorned with beautiful chandeliers, creating a charming atmosphere. I had the opportunity to savor numerous dishes during my visit, but two standout options were the delectable homemade gnocchi infused with black truffles and mascarpone cheese, as well as the mouthwatering Imperatore pizza.
Great place! Pizza was great, one of the best we had! Service was also very good and prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back.

After a good pizza at this restaurant we were presented with the bill, everything ok till we saw there was a charge of €2 per head for table covering. Something very unusual within south Tirol, and definitely something we are not used to. Apparently it is written in microscopic small letters somewhere in the menu, such a shame we come here many years never eaten here before….. and because of this misleading their customers will never eat here again….. good luck with tricking others in this false practice. Therefore should not even be one star ⭐️

This restaurant is ok. They have traditional food but it isn't the best one. I ate here some traditional dumplings but the were full of oil and it was a little bit discussing and the gluten free pizza don't have the best base.

Lovely atmosphere. We took 6 different dishes and all were good.

Avoid for pizza - by far the worst pizza of our Italy trip, we got 2 of the more expensive / special pizzas and they were so greasy and oily, way too much cheese, not browned enough either - we both really regretted coming here for lunch! Otherwise the setting is nice etc. The kebab shop in the same town does miles better pizza!

we really enjoyed a pizza lunch here on our last day of our ski holiday and was very impressed not only with the food but of its quaint interior. well worth a visit

Fast service and fair prices on the plus side. Minus - the waiter spilled my beer (when he was taking the plates away) and never came back with a replacement :(

Staff friedly but some did not comunicate properly, very nice place

The service was good and kind.. We are vegetarians so we ordered zukinni soup that was really good, some grilled vegetables with mozzarella and spinach ravioli that was really disappointing. The ravioli was homemade but we just couldn't eat half of the dish. The prices are pretty expensive... Buttom line - doesn't worth the money.

Love this place. The looks, the food, the ambience was great. Must try the prosciutto dumplings in broth. The waiters are fluent in multiple languages there was one that even spoke in Spanish. It is in a great location and has a very interesting menu that seems to change during seasons.

We ate several dishes there but two of them were excellent: homemade gnocchi with black truffles and mascarpone cheese - something worth to go and taste how good it is ❣️and Imperatore pizza - it’s white pizza without tomato sauce but with mozzarella & gorgonzola & parmesan, ham, grilled sausage and porcini mushrooms- perfect pizza. From now on it will be my favorite!

Since we arrived in San Candido quite late for lunch (2.30 pm) this was the only place open for lunch 🍽️ but they had only pizza available 🍕 Considering pizza is not tradition for the region, it was quite decent. I only find the place a little expensive, 30€ for two pizza and two cokes.

Popped in here on the last day of our ski holiday whilst waiting to be picked and what a find! don't be fooled by the façade on the front as when you go inside it opens up and is a beautiful building inside. The food was both excellent and sensibly priced and the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you are passing I would say pop in as you will not regret it.

Worst experience ever, we eat dinner there and specifically told them that we dont eat ham, pork 6 times but still they served us ham/pork inside the burger!! even after changing it they didn’t get enough! they served my father chops of pork with his grilled chicken!!!! and when we inquired about she only laughed and giggled !! لا يحترمون الدين ولا الحساسيه، لا انصح به.

The place is very cozy, the staff is nice and friendly. The food is very good (although it used to be better and cheaper some time ago). Recommended at least once in your life.

Restaurant
Rifugio Rudi offers outstanding food and spectacular views, with a friendly staff. The limited number of tables may lead to longer waiting times due to the current restrictions. They serve South Tyrolean and other European dishes, including vegetarian options. The place is recommended for its excellent food, service, and reasonable prices. Additionally, it provides a large play area for children. The restaurant also boasts one of the best baby changing stations with plenty of toys to keep little ones occupied.
At the top of Sesto ski area you will find this place. Fast and friendly service it’s great for a meal or just a drink after skiing. Food was delicious and warmed us up for the cold weather outside. Since they are very busy errors can be made so make sure to check your bill.

Beautiful restaurant. Friendly, hardworking and very professional staff. Very good food at reasonable prices. I can recommend nothing but a visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

Outstanding food, spectacular views and very friendly waiters. Not sure if it was due to Corona restrictions but number of tables was quite limited and they did not have sufficient number of staff to handle it most efficiently. People had to wait a lot before they had a free spot. With more staff they could be faster, especially reducing time until one can order and the wait time for paying (maybe straight pay after taking the orders?)
Torsten Luke — Google review
Apart from the spectacular view, Rifugio Rudi has one of the best baby changing stations I've ever seen, fully stocked with many dolls and toys that will keep your baby still! The atmosphere on the terrace/deck is very nice, and the bathrooms are clean. We had some delicious waffles, and the prices are quite reasonable for such a great location. It's a place worth visiting!

That's the owner's opinion about his restaurant: " I'm getting tired of explaining to guests how to run a restaurant. It's not about me being greedy...." Yes you are, politeness and culture are not your best side either. Good luck in your business.

We had coffee, tea and cake before we start our hike, and then came back at lunch time….they serve not just South Tyrolean dishes but other European dishes too also a vegetarian friendly. We had potatoes with egg and bacon as toppings. Elderberry syrup mixed with sparkling water for drinks. Excellent food and services, prices were ok. There’s a large spaces for children to play. Highly recommended!

Mountain cabin
Talschlusshütte is a charming mountain lodge with rustic dorms and rooms, offering a homey atmosphere and a country-style restaurant. The food is not only visually appealing but also delicious, with reasonable portions and friendly staff. The location offers phenomenal views, making it worth the 20-minute walk from the parking lot. Additionally, the half-board meal option provides great value with generous 3-course meals.
Phenomenal views and the half board value is great. The hutte is a amazing condition compared to others, the half board meal is a 3 course generous. Showers are also €3 which is much more reasonable than the other rifugios offering €7 for 5mins. All round great option

There are many fancy looking restaurants in the region where the food doesn't match the looks. Here, the food looks great, tastes great, portions are reasonable, staff is friendly and the location is very nice. Even if you're not hiking by, it's totally worth the 20 minute walk from the parking lot.

Had lunch (wiener schnitzel & fries) and a beer after a nice hike. Lovely company and food was great!! Everything looked really good. It can get busy but to be expected when it's the only food option in The area

Don't bother if you are healthy and can walk to the next rifugio. It's too crowded, the waiters are stressed out and not friendly.
Eric Baumgartner — Google review
Extremely expensive (probably because it's the only option around) and the service is one of the worst I've ever had. I was rushed and had to leave the table as other clients were waiting and would spend more than the 15 euros I was spending in an extremely artificial and horrible lemonade and a 4-bite sized sandwich - that was basically just bread and one thin slice of ham. Ended up having to swallow the lemonade and wrap the rest of the sandwich in a napkin after not even 8 minutes sitting there as the waitress was forcing me to leave.

Da Hans restaurant is a bustling establishment known for its delectable cuisine that never fails to attract a crowd. The eatery boasts an impressive menu filled with mouth-watering dishes, and customers can expect prompt service from the lively and expressive waitstaff who are fluent in English. A visit to this restaurant is highly recommended as it offers an unforgettable dining experience at reasonable prices. Additionally, diners should not miss out on indulging in the delectable desserts available.
Please disregard the negative reviews on the lady /waiter /owner. She’s interesting, traditionally dressed and super hard working. A bit of empathy and openness wouldn’t hurt. Food is good, but I guess the kitchen could improve in terms of organisation as some dishes arrive too early or too late. Interiors are typical and well kept.

The food was very good, which just about justifies the three stars. However, the service was bad for such a highly esteemed place. We waited 30 minutes before we could order. There was plenty of staff moving about but they were not "authorized" to take orders. We had to wait for the ONE staff member who could actually take orders (!?). The red wine was served super cold. And when wanting to order desert, we were again asked to kindly wait 20 minutes until the ONE staff member had time to take our new order. Not sure if it's a lack of trust in the whole staff or what, but the long waiting and the inexplicable ability to order via the many waitresses boggles the mind. At least the food was tasty and plentiful - otherwise a certain 1-2-star.
