To enhance your cultural experience, a visit to the MUCBE in Benicarló is essential. This former Franciscan convent has been transformed into an exquisite cultural center, showcasing the rich heritage of the city. Immerse yourself in the permanent exhibition that displays archaeological remnants from Puig de la Nau, an ancient Iberian settlement dating back to the 2nd century B.C.

(Translated by Google) Permanent exhibition of the Iberian remains of the Puig de la Nau site and of Iberian culture in general, and of the collection of the painter Fernando Peiró Coronado. Temporary exhibitions are also held on all three floors. The visit to the building, the old Convent of Sant Francesc, from the 16th century and declared a Cultural Interest, is already worth it. The church with mural paintings stands out, with the choir (which was used as a chapter house and now houses the exhibition that explains the history of the convent) and a small cloister. Free entrance. It has a lift, and an accessible bathroom adapted for the disabled and with a nappy changer. It is highly recommended to visit the Puig de la Nau site, an Iberian village in an excellent state of conservation. The price is 2 euros per person (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., arrange in advance). Near Benicarló there are other Iberian archaeological sites of great interest, such as the Puig de la Misericordia, between Benicarló and Vinaròs, the Perengil in Vinaròs or the Moleta del Remei in Alcanar. (Original) Exposició permanent de les restes ibèriques del jaciment del Puig de la Nau i de la cultura ibèrica en general, i de la col·lecció del pintor Fernando Peiró Coronado. Today, July 18, during the five hours we have been there, it looked like a beach bar with wet t-shirts... wasting water with the hose they have for their personal use and flirting with the girls there... With the lifeguards' shirts removed. The empty surveillance post...and without the routine checks that must be carried out at your workplace. And when you tell them something...they respond arrogantly and rudely with disrespect.... There is no space for disabled people or lifeguards, little shade and everything is poorly set up... Camping Alegría del Mar is a charming beachside campsite located just 50 meters from the beach, with direct access. The town of Benicarlo is within walking distance at 1.5 km. The camping area offers WiFi throughout and British satellite TV connections on all pitches. Guests have praised the friendly and helpful staff, particularly highlighting Miguel's attentiveness as the campsite's "secret weapon.
Great place to stay. Bar/restaurant served good food and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful, however Miguel had just the right amount of attentiveness, the campsites secret weapon. Entertainment some nights but not till 9pm so if you want a quiet dinner you can. Lovely owners. 15min walk to a small town and marina. Beach 3 min walk out the back of the campsite, no good if you have mobility issues, but there is a pool. Highly recommend, we will be back 🌻

Warm shower and showering room for the ladies. But very cold and far away toilets. (Especially in November/December) . Doggies are welcome! And the beachside is a nice walkie-side. Most of the staff and fellow camping-friends were in a good mood, most of the time, but a little busy and exhausted. Lots of activities, and nice beach. I am not sure about the vibe in general. Was there only for a few days. But the nights were cold and we had bad luck with the sun and parking.

Tràngol Restaurant Vermuteria comes highly recommended for its lunch offerings, which are available six days a week. The establishment boasts a beautiful interior with scenic views of a small park. The menu del dia offers a diverse selection of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. Reservations are strongly suggested due to the restaurant's popularity, although the tables are well-spaced and noise levels remain manageable. Patrons can enjoy a variety of wines at affordable rates while receiving professional and attentive service from friendly servers.
We had lunch with family and friends, chose the artichoke menu. It was an absolute feast including 6 starters (+1 on the house!), main was rice with artichokes and boletus, and the dessert was a memorable white chocolate treat. Local produce, cooked with great care and originality. Outstanding service, and a friendly atmosphere that allowed us to catch up with old friends in a relaxed setting.

Good food! Service was ok. Overall a nice experience. Nothing out of this world, but I would recommend. I had the ‘Menu Marisco’ for reference. Photos attached with what I ordered. Keep in mind the cheaper Menu del Dia is not available in summer months, which was a shame because that is why I initially went; after reading all the good reviews about the menu del dia.

Highly recommended! We ate lunch here today (the restaurant is open for lunch six days a week, and for dinner only on Saturday currently), in the recommendation of our host. The interior is beautiful, and looks out onto a small park. We found the menu del dià to be varied, delicious and good value. The restaurant was very full on a Thursday, reservations are strongly recommended, but tables are well spaced and the room was not too noisy. A selection of wines at reasonable prices is available. Service was super professional, our server was on her game and very friendly and responsive. We had a delightful meal and felt lucky to have found this restaurant.

Delicious tapas and professional service. We were lucky to get a table without reservation, it's a very busy place.

One of the best spots in Benicarló. Best quality at reasonable prices. It is a safe choice when it comes to proper food, both amount and price is reasonable. It offers creative, modern and traditional at the same time, regional food. The restaurant is small and it gives a nice vibe from the first moment.

The value for money is unbeatable! The menus are all excellent. Service is the best in the area with a great attention to detail and allergy. The restaurant is semi-gastro. Better to book before.
