Vichy

Vichy is a city in central France. It’s known for its spas and eclectic architecture. The Eglise Saint-Blaise church connects to the Notre-Dame-des-Malades, an art deco church featuring frescoes and stained glass. Recitals and ballets are held at the art nouveau–style Vichy Opera House. The Musée Surréaliste François Boucheix showcases the work of this surrealist artist. Trails cross the riverside Napoleon III Park.

Plush rooms & suites in an upscale hotel offering a spa, an infinity pool & a gourmet restaurant.
We had a wonderfull experience here. All personeel very friendly. They all smile and say hello, they make you feel welcome. There are plenty of people around that help you even without asking. They help you to find solutions if you have doubts. The girls that massage have golden hands. The ones at the reception desk are outstanding. We did not stay at the hotel.

Well located in/near the city center of Vichy across the spa of Vichy, with direct access through a covered bridge. Rooms are quite large, although might need a slight refresh. Personnel was generally friendly. Barman which makes great cocktails, live piano concerts on some evenings which add to the charm. Food is good, especially the caesar salad was delicious. Parking closes at night and is underground across the hotel. Looked reasonably secured.

I loved staying at this hotel ! The staff is super nice and helpful. My room was clean and spacious . (The terrace was amazing!!)
Martin Gades — Google review
Not great experience. Parking not provided & need to be paid separately at €15 per 24h. The room overheated with no way to reduce temperature other than opening the window… luckily the window did open! :) 2 sachets of coffee & some sugar only… And yes, someone already mentioned a toilet so small need to keep the door open and it’s at an angle…why???.

It’s my second time here, the first one was 16! Years ago and the hotel and SPA are in the same perfect condition. I can highly recommend this place. Rooms are great and comfortable, good in the restaurant is just amazing!

Really great place. We stayed with our 3 children for the long WE of Easter. The rooms were cosy, the breakfast great. We take the spa and voiturier services as well and we're very satisfied. No time to have a dinner there but may be next time.

Cozy place in the city of Vichy. The food was very good. The view is very nice. It’s very family friendly. The city of Vichy was very nice and the people are very kind too. I would recommend going there. There is also a souvenir shop near the hotel.
Salwa ahmad bana — Google review
Great location, beautiful public and common areas. The rooftop pool is very nice. The rooms, however, need a bit of TLC. The AC could not keep up with the very hot weather. The high cost of this hotel would be better justified if the breakfast ( which was excellent) was included. Book well in advance and look for a deal.
Dana Westermark — Google review
Very strange toilet impossible to fit in as the toilet was at an angle so you need to sit sideways with the door open. No one answered emails regarding booking a doctor even thought they admitred the mails were on their system. They should have made recompense in some way , they didn't..
Niamh Kenny — Google review
It feels more like a dated 3/4* hotel that needs to update its offering. Restaurant N3 was average at best with pretty poor service and limited vegetarian options. The attached spa was mediocre, with very few amenities. Massages were OK but rather expensive. It's an average overall experience and not worth the premium prices charged, but perhaps the local water has magical properties?

An amazing Spa town with so many fine Art Deco buildings and fab spa architecture. You can come here to take the waters. Nice shops, cafes and places to dine. Lovely park, river, bandstand. Could do with a little restauration but fundamentally fab. Check out the artdeco Church! Incredible glass, design, capitals etc. The former Casino, now Opera House is also stunning.

It’s not often and I come across a restaurant where everything is delicious. They can easily get their first Michelin star. I’ve done many 1-2-3 Michelin stars, this goes in my top 3.

Fabulous creative food, nice atmosphere. This place is well worth visiting. We were able to get a table even without a reservation. I especially liked the cheeses and selection of half bottle wines. Plus the lady at the front desk spoke English which is not common in France. It's an experience to remember!

I am writing my comment again because you told me that there is no my name in the reservation. Of course it is totaly normal because our friend did the reservation :) For me, the taste doesn't deserve this price. Probably, I don't come again. Just the welcoming was good. Thanks for that.
Ezgi YILDIRIM — Google review
I’d expect better for its standing.. the biscuit of the dessert was almost burnt. The main dish (filet de sebaste) was tasteless (the fish was dry, perhaps it was not the best choice for this dish).. average cheese selection.. i found the service good, though.. The biscuit was burnt. Dont worry I can distinguish burnt from doré color. Moreover, the biscuit in my friend’s dessert was different (in color and taste; hers was not burnt). We ate in bistro de l’opera and their cheese selection was a better fit to my taste. So I compared your selection with that one which was also offering local cheese. But then, it is a matter of taste..
Sibel Sakin — Google review
I would give the restaurant a 4.5 star. The shrimp starter, and the fish was superb. The veal was a bit dry. The wine recommended by the waiter was really good, exactly what we described we wanted. A bit disappointed we were not allowed to have the full menu tasting because we were on the edge of the maximum allowable start for dinner, but we understood. For a high cuisine restaurant we were actually quite surprised we were completely full by the end of dinner - to the point of struggling with the desserts, and they were good! Would definitely recommend.
Francisco José Egaña Barrios — Google review
We selected a “gastronomic menu” to discover what Antoine can offer. Generosity in flavors and portions is our conclusion. A kind of “Baroque” style to enjoy with time as served dished go beyond what is described in the menu. Wine card has well adapted choices at reasonable price ranges. Better reserve and come with hunger.
S O — Google review
Sophisticated name food for no sophisticated taste. Meal was good but not fantastic. In return the price was fantastic, too much for what they offer. Maison Decoret is a boutique hotel with an acclaimed restaurant and cooking classes. The hotel features a Chef de Cuisine with a very sure, subtle, expert hand that goes beyond the basics of French cuisine. The setting is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. The products are high-quality and include some bargains in their wine list. The service is friendly and efficient, making it a pleasure to stay there.
We stayed 4 nights and it was very difficult to leave. Amazing rooms, incredible dinner. Service was excellent. I’ll give you an example, we were delayed arriving and told the hotel we would be late. At around 9 pm. They called and were worried we hadn’t eaten. They offered to arrange to help us find some food as must restaurants would be closed. The room was spotless. The shower was the kind of shower you wish you had at home!! Just absolutely amazing stay. The dinner service was fine dining at its best and worth every penny!
Duane LaRue — Google review
The restaurant reopened after the holidays with new menus. We were the first in the restaurant that evening and among the last to leave. The food was incredibly good, far more than one star. The Decoret was the best experience on our 3 week gourmet tour of France. But only when it came to individual dishes. The ideas, compositions and sophistication are unparalleled. Unfortunately the service was the exact opposite. We sometimes had to wait a long time for the food and sometimes sat there without cutlery after the course was served. We felt unnecessary and ignored. That was more than annoying for us. The only thing that made us happy was the food. We will still come back, it was just too good.

Chef Marlène is highly regarded for her innovative cuisine and warm hospitality, creating an enjoyable experience for guests.
Always a good choice for ice cream! Love the chef, she is soooo pleasing and nice! When in VICHY, it is a must-go place. This is an expensive restaurant that should have offered so much more. The service was ok at best and let its self down trying to be too much. Similar story for the food with complex dishes with mouse and froths but the flavour just wasn't there. I had the pork which was a little dry. Its better to do simple food very well than to over complicate to achieve average.
