Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Saalbach-Hinterglemm is an Austrian Alpine resort town, southwest of the city of Salzburg. It’s known for its ski areas. A network of lifts provides access to the ski circuits of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Mountain bike trails criss-cross nearby Reiterkogel, Kohlmais and Schattberg mountains. Signs along the Homeland Path in the Glemmtal valley around the Zwölferkogel mountain recount the region's history.

Restaurant
The restaurant Del Rossi offers a pleasant ambiance, but could greatly improve their attention to service details. It is essential for them to listen to all customers' needs and not favor one over the rest. As paying patrons, it is important for diners to feel valued rather than as if they are asking for favors. Particularly after an exhausting day of mountain biking, people seek a delightful experience with friends and family while enjoying a delicious meal.
Very good food! Cery good and recommend restaurant

One of the best restaurants in the area... Great food Salad and steaks are very tasty Service is very good Deserts (had the tiramisu and the brule) amazing Serving is good and size of dishes is good Athmosphere is great and people seem happy... Highly recomendded

Stopped here for a weekday lunch in June and sat inside. Our waitress was prompt, attentive and friendly. We both ordered the burger, which is made with a fresh (homemade?) burger and was absolutely fabulous. Barbecue sauce, coleslaw and all the trimmings exceeded our expectations. Fun, modern, clean decor. The only slight negative was the (latin?) music; fortunately not overly-loud but loud enough to be annoying. Overall, recommended and we will certainly return.
Kirsty Moore — Google review
Nicely designed, modern and cosy restaurant. We ordered simple well water but we got mineral water.. We recognised the mistake after we got the bill. We drunk our most expensive mineral water… (approx 8 €/ 1 bottle)
Virág Viktória — Google review
Very good. Nice cocktails. Pizza bread with chili garlic oil is also nice.

After visiting Del Rossi many times over a number of years, our most recent visit left a lot to be desired. We were slightly late for our reservation and our table was given away. We would still have had enough time to dine within our allocated slot. We apologised and the lady was strangely quite upset about the situation. She then informed us that we could still get a table and asked us to sit at the bar and wait which we were very happy to do. We then ordered 2 drinks in German, only to receive a response from the barman that ultimately resulted in us walking out of the restaurant. He rudely told us that because we were late we could only order drinks in German, which ironically we already had done so. He then continued to to rant at us about being late and we again apologised but he was then hesitant in serving us a drink at all. The situation was quite frankly ridiculous and it gave us great satisfaction to spend our time and money in other very friendly restaurants in Saalbach. I think the management do not understand hospitality and their customer service is non-existent. I recommend some staff training to this effect. We will not be returning which is a great shame after many previous good visits.

Food from high quality ingredients, prepared with love (at least that’s how it tasted :)). Nicely balanced flavours! We even came in late (after official kitchen closure) and were welcomed for dinner anyway, so 👍👍
Jeroen Frissen — Google review
The place has a good atmosphere and is pleasant, it would be a perfect place if they took more care of the details in the service, such as listening to what all the diners want, not listening to just one and running away or making the customer feel that they are asking for a favor instead of paying for a service. After a long day of mountain biking you want to have a pleasant time and a good experience with friends an family while you share a good meal but when the waitress (lady with wavy hair, glasses, tattoo on her back) answers you badly or only listens to one client and leaving the rest of the diners with the order in their mouths, it is not pleasant and happened everytime we wanted to order drinks and them food. Correcting those small details would give the restaurant a different touch.

Nice ambiente. We had two different burgers. Both were just okay. Tiramisu at the end very good - recommend. Service when came was friendly, but kept us waiting with finished dishes and paying. Overall if you are looking for nice and cozy restaurant, go for it. If you are looking for good burgers, look elsewhere.
Thomas Polacek — Google review
If you want to be welcomed by an exceptionally abrupt, unwelcoming man (we think the owner), and receive patchy service and average, bland food then this is the jackpot. Sadly for our two families, this was the worst restaurant we visited during our fantastic week in Saalbach. We’d recommend avoiding it. There are plenty of better restaurants.
Lee Jay Burningham — Google review
Steaks are really good but oh my was the pizza bad. It arrived very very quickly which already was quite odd. It was soggy and underdone. Junk food quality, definitely pre-made. Really disappointing. Other than that no complaints.
Helena M — Google review
Great value dining. Delicious and generous meals. We had a pizza Capricciosa (very large!) and the Spanish gambas pasta. Extensive wine list while also good value choices per glass. Swift and friendly service. Highly Recommended. Better to make a reservation via their website.
Pedro de Pedra — Google review
Very high priced for the food quality. Paying over 30 euro for a steak of low quality is not fair. If price was lower, the rating would be higher.

Good food for a reasonable price. We had Gordon Bleu and curry, both great. Very nice atmosphere, cosy! Nice staff as well😄

Great food, excellent service and a good atmosphere.. Even though we did not have a booking they found is a takes for two.. But I recommend a booking so your larger party won't get turned away.

Great food, reasonable prices (€15-20 for main course + drink) and service is best around. We went three out of four nights and loved it more every time. Thanks Mario, you're the best

We had a lovely dinner here! It was exactly what we were looking for. The space is very cozy and is a traditional style. The food was amazing, one of the best käsespatle I have had. The schnitzel was huge and very good as well. It is a good idea to reserve. We got lucky with a table in between reservations but otherwise they were fully booked!

Our favourite place during skiing holiday. Good food, fairly priced and friendly waiters! All good compared to the rest of the village.

It is a simple but cozy restaurant, its gastronomic offer is traditional and elemental but with very good flavor and the waiters are very friendly. The difference is found in the simplicity!

Panorama Alm is a delightful establishment that offers a pleasant environment and excellent service. The staff, known for their kindness and efficiency, contribute to the positive atmosphere. This popular venue tends to be busy, even on rainy days. One can indulge in the superb pistachio liqueur and caesar crumble, both of which are highly recommended. The hut itself is situated in a fantastic location, accessible by either walking or taking a gondola ride followed by a scenic descent on foot.
Possible to pay with card above 30 euros! Very friendly people. They are quick, prices are good and food is also good. Location is beautiful! Place to visit again when skiing in this area.

It is lovely place to be in. The waitress are very nice, helpful and quick. The atmosphere are very good. Very popular place. When we were here it was almost full inside (it was rainy day). The pistachio liqueur and the caesar crumble are fantastic.

Food is good, drinks are plenty and there are a lot to choose from. Service is also efficient. There is always a good vibe going and lots of places to sit both inside and outside - it is however very crowded during the afternoon but with a good location close to Saalbach city.

Good food friendly people and an amazing view. Great place to be at any time. My friends like the Hertz bar... Because they like to drink and I think they are in love with the bartender... She is beautiful so I do get it 😜

This place is an absolute oasis on a hot summer day. Children can frolic in the pond or on the slide and parents can enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant, all while looking out over the 3,000 peaks. Here you just have to stop and relax for a while, it is definitely worth it!

Eva.ALM is a fantastic eatery in the heart of Saalbach, offering delectable cuisine and friendly, exceptional service. Despite arriving late, the staff and chefs graciously extended their kitchen hours exclusively for us to enjoy our meal. The mixed plate we ordered was outstanding, featuring succulent burgers, tender wings, and superb ribs. The atmosphere at Eva.ALM is great, creating a welcoming ambiance for patrons.
This place is one of my favourite in Saalbach. The service was excelent. Our waiter served us on a proper way with huge patience! This is very rare nowadays. We recommend this place so much
Viktória Visky — Google review
Tried two times and both shared similar experience: first waiter was over the limit rude, second time the poor waiter did not get one thing right: we had to ask for everything l, from menu to cutlery, napkins, items that we ordered as well as the wine they recommended and then did not come with. Food is also blend. Pity, since the location is central and design is nice.
Tina Vincent — Google review
The vibes are nice and the place is the a good option to stop by for beers and food. The service is ok and quick but the waitress was absolutely unfriendly and rude just cause we were a big group.

We arrived for a light lunch in the middle of a day of skiing. The service was kind, but we waited too long for the dishes to arrive. The dishes were quite tasty. More recommended as a place to drink at the end of a day of skiing.

Chicken was extremely overcooked on both a burger and Caesar salad… Strudel tasted like it was 2 days old.. Stuff attitude could have been better as well.. P.S. Dear Manager, please spare me your passive aggressive comments. I read those under other reviews..

What a great place. Very friendly staff, great food and, as they say themselves, a great vibe. We stopped by for dinner one evening, then spent some time sitting outside for drinks on New Year's Eve. Great way to close out our holiday.
Martin Roberts — Google review
If you have an open kitchen you should make sure your chef doesn’t wipe his nose and beard and lick his fingers every 30 seconds. Bleh!!! The waiters, wine and beer were great as was the vibe but the food and watching the chef was gross. Prices are high but they are everywhere, so that’s ok but bad hygiene is not ok, my kids refused to eat their food after watching the kitchen in action.
Piers S-P (DERESTRICTED) — Google review
They have live music from 19h what we really enjoyed while we were drinking wine. The soup was okay. The waiters were helpful. We liked the design of the restaurant.

Delicious food, excellent and friendly service. We got there late and the staff and chefs kept the kitchen open exclusively for us so that we could still dine. We had an excellent mixed plate with juicy burgers, tender wings and superb ribs. We will be back and can highly recommend visiting Eva.ALM. Great atmosphere and good food right in the heart of Saalbach.
Max Heinrich — Google review
If you order beer, they’ll give you the most expensive beer. If you order a g&t, it’ll be the most expensive one. Bear in mind they have 13 euro gins in the menu. It’s a cheap move and disingenuous business practice. Will never come back and advise you avoid. Additionally took forever to get served and the veggie burger was just fired vegetables in bread. The chips were ok.
Clive Walmsley — Google review
Awesome place for beer and food. In time of our second visit, the place was just packed with people. Still we didn't waited for anything too long. Order, drinks and food under 30 minutes. Service was polite, helpful with everything and take care of us. Food was delicious. For me, it was really nice experience.
Martin S — Google review
Experience would be 10x better if the most unfriendly waitress in the world didn’t work there… not sure her name the one with the gold rimmed glasses long dark straight hair - void of any smiles and completely ignores you… useless.
Al Wilko — Google review
Had the veggie burger but it was actually just roast veggies, not actual patty so it all just falls out of the bun when you try to eat it. Somehow they call this a burger 🙄🙄 😂

Off all restaurants I have been to past week in Hinterglemm, this one really had the best service. Very friendly/hospitable waiters. Also card payments possible. Good location next to the Saalach river not far from the cable cars. Yes, one waiter looks like the guy from the sauce, but it is not him, I asked 😉

We, a group of six, arrived late without reservation, but the waitress was quick to combine two tables to accommodate us. The food (Caesar salad x3, burger, ribs, salmon x2) was tasty and portions reasonably generous, the salad would have benefited from a little more dressing. One of the salmon dishes was not cooked through. After the waiter was notified she took the dish back. The replacement salmon arrived when the rest of the group had finished their meal. Nothing was offered as compensation or a gesture of being sorry. Atmosphere is traditional Austrian. If possible by Google we would give 4,5 stars, as the food was good (despite the mistake with the fish) and service was mostly professional.

Please avoid this restaurant because of their rude staff. The waiter with the green Christmas sweater attacked my sister for taking a sip of tea from her own thermos and accused her of drinking alcohol. She had no alcohol in there, just tea, and after she offered him to smell it, he of course refused to do it because he didn’t want to embarrass himself. This is not a way how women should be treated, please hire someone who has more respect towards women. There is a nice way to say everything.

We ate here twice because it's very good! The staff was nice and the food perfect. After ordering the food comes very fast, that's fine but not needed for me personally.
Patrick Paalman — Google review
The salad with baked potato is simply delicious! The pancakes were cold. Quality of service depends on the waiter/ waitress - waiters do a good job, the waitress is in a hurry and seems bothered by questions. Recommend the food!
Irina O. (Google user) — Google review
Situated parallel to the main street, it's an easy place to find and sits attached to a smart and new-look hotel. The restaurant itself is good looking, with a decent sense of Austrian mountain charm. The menu is likewise, containing a good range of regional classics and a handful of unique options. Staff were courteous, with a good grasp of English and effective in their work. Food is moderately priced and of very good value. We did the XL Ribs and a pork medallion dish, both of which were well cooked and seasoned. The ribs dish was very large and could easily serve as a meal for 2. Pork medallions were flavourful and the accompanying tagliatelle was cooked to al denté, which was a pleasant surprise, however the gorgonzola cheese sauce for the pasta could have done with a much stronger flavour. Desserts were enjoyable, although would need to be uplifted in some way to really compete with the overall bar set in Austria. I'm unsure if they are owned and run by Hotel Salzburg (google searching indicates that they are), but I attempted to make a reservation by email several weeks before arriving, followed up a few times and still didn't receive a response. We ended up walking over there on the day we arrived to make the reservation. Considering the potential language barriers and the fact that we are no longer in the prehistoric age, it seems rather ridiculous to not have responded to my emails whatsoever, even though I had sent the first and follow-up in english and german. Overall I'd say that it would be worth a try and we had no regrets selecting it as one of our 6 restaurants for the trip.
