We stopped by here on a tour of Province, and boy do I love their soap. I was particularly fond of the fig scented one. A good break from all the vineyards we visited. They have a very good staff and a classic Citroen 2CV delivery vehicle out front. The do give tours during the summer, which we unfortunately missed. The small free museum is an interesting history lesson. Be sure to head upstairs in the museum to see part of the production floor. They also house a Guinness world record block of soap.

Excellent tour in English (thanks Theo!). Superb products defying mass production! Just wash your hands at the entrance basin and you'll see what I mean :)

Difficult to fully appreciate In English but for a quick stop and to freshen up and a lovely place and see a really sweet shop and musueum well worth it. Max an hour

Hand made olive oil soaps. Seems a candy shop and the atmosphere is magic. Quite impossible to come back home without a dozen of these products.

Nice place to find out a few things about the history of the natural french soap. The small factory still produces soap, using the old recipe. Inside there is a small museum, not guided but with many informational posters. You can buy soap produced in this factory, in the store, before going out.

Visited this place last February. Superb experience, friendly staff and free sightseeing. Local prices of savon are also very cheap. I recommend it to everyone.

If you are in Salon de Provence you must visit this soap factory. It has soap to die for. Pure olive oil soap. I use only this soap now. Miss the visit here and miss out on one of life's true luxuries. Soaping yourself down!

Very good organised and impressive collection. All the room I visited I just said « wow wow wow 🤩 » For entrace fee 6€ is not expensive if compared with what you will see inside

Very interesting museum with an impressive collection of uniforms and militaria. Beautiful displayed. Confirms that as a high ranking officer, you have a much better chance of getting back home. Many officer’s uniforms in great shape displayed, few of regular soldiers.

The "Château de l'Emperi", the oldest fortified castle in Provence, is a wonderful place. Its Renaissance courtyard, which houses many concerts, notably from the Conservatory of Music, is a little Renaissance jewel whose facades, in my opinion, need a little renovation. The place is peaceful and pleasant. The castle houses a museum with the Raoul and Jean Brunon collection, a collection belonging to the army museum. You will also see some objects that belonged to Napoleon (bed, gloves, etc). A place for heritage and culture lovers.
Thierry Gaillard (Gathea) — Google review
A stop by to stretch the legs and have a nice walk around the old part to the castle. Cool place.

For foreigners used to things being open between 9-5, this is not the case here. Sadly we made the mistake of visiting the town between 11-2. Everything joyfully closed between 12.30-2pm (with most places denying entry prior to 12.30pm).

The most interesting military collection I have ever seen. Gathered with passion by two brothers, that made it their life goal and family heritage. Expositions are very well prepared, very vivid. Historical background is well described, for now in French only but I bet it would change soon. Worth all the 3 hours I spent there!

Horrible place. Do not go!! Nothing is authentic, and you will be forced to listen to non synchronizen, nonsense audios all along while being stuck for way too long in tiny rooms with some weird dummies dressed like mickey mouse magicians. And, cherry on the cake, the staff is terribly unfriendly. Do yourself a favor and invest the money in a beer or an ice cream instead.

So the museum is bunch of mannequins dressed in old clothes. There are speakers that explain the life of Nostradamus, but it is in french. Buying tickets was actually pretty difficult because the lady in the frontdeak spoke only French. We tried English, Spanish, Italian and Russian... No luck. She spoke only French. If you have 20 minutes to kill - you can give 5€ for the tour. But I will recommend to buy some icecream or some wine instead.

never been able to get inside, I contacted them weeks earlier via email, as request on their website, to book a visite. This is really quite a tawdry Madame Tussaud’s style museum in the barren shell of Nostradamus’ original house. On each floor there is a vulgar waxwork tableau that interprets periods of Nostradamus’ life (badly). Absolutely no trace of original house, it’s floor-plan, or anything belonging to (or even simulating) Nostradamus remains.

A small intimate room and excellent service. The amuse was the star of the show - a perfect balance of flavours and textures, showcasing the talents of the chef. We started with the crab tart, and followed with the red mullet (roughie?) with a tomato/saffron sauce. The flavours of the fish dish were muddled - the sauce was overpowering and confusing against the mild flavour of the fish. Kind attentive service.

We took the whole menu at once with my partner to taste both choices each time and everything was delicious, really sublime flavors. Very rare to have so many tastes. I bake and I'm complicated in terms of dessert because they often have very little taste and there even the desserts were exquisite in short I fully recommend and I can't wait to come back to enjoy myself 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Don't hesitate go for it. Very nice and special place, great kind and professional service. And nice food with a great view. Also the pool was quite nice. If I had to find negatives, yhr room had some slight smell from the sewage when using the sink. Went for dinner only. Excellent food, presentation and service. The view is breathtaking, the structure is a beautiful old abbaye. Pricey but the food quality matched the price.
David Cohen (Cyclope) — Google review
We enjoyed our stay - I think it is our 4th time. However we do feel that standards are slipping compared to other hotels in similar price range. I think this was our first time in a Traditional room and the bathroom needs upgrading. The shower is poor, the temperature kept changing dramatically. The airconditioners while effective are quite noisy. No balcony was quite an issue for us as we were there for four days, obviously we tried to get a Charm room but none was available, I would hope they are of a higher standard generally not just the balcony, Not all looked occupied though when I looked to upgrade. The white road in really needs improvement at this stage, the risk to car damage isn't acceptable. The dinner menu was very repetitive and unimaginative for people staying several days. The same fish and meat appeared almost every day simply with different accompaniments. I would also have the view that it was style over substance, the presentation was good but sometimes there was very little actual food. I understand the cooking style but this wasn't satisfying. It is a fabulous hotel in a special location but I do not believe is being adequately invested in. The staff are wonderful and make a difference, but that won't save the hotel from becoming mid-range and not luxury over time. I hope you take constructive feedback seriously - we have been going there since 1998 when it stood out as really special. Thank you Finbarr Doorley

This is a nice hotel, housed in an old monastery and situated on a hill with great views of the surroundings. The rooms are large and comfortable, and many of them have terraces. Stunning location and a great welcome. We are not great fans of fine dining so found dinner a little over the top for our taste. The room was lovely and cosy. Unfortunately, the hot drinks gadget was not working - simple kettle etc. would have been better.
Stuart Dewey — Google review
This hotel enjoys a spectacular position which offsets some of its less than perfect aspects. The rooms are interesting...slightly threadbare but appropriate for a building that's a few hundred years old :) Those accustomed to white bread American chains may be somewhat disconcerted. The restaurant would like to think of itself as a gourmet 5 star but in reality it's overpriced and the food (other than presentation) doesn't live up to its cost. Breakfast was a decent value - worth it just to be able to sit on the patio and enjoy the view! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, if somewhat disorganised. Most spoke good English but all were tolerant of my very poor French. The pool is fantastic. The only real negative is the poor wifi - possibly not so much of a problem for some. Overall my family and I very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Somewhat disappointed with the bill as it stated a 10% discount for takeout orders, which I did not receive (possibly due to the low amount of 15.10). Additionally, I left an extra 150 for an additional sauce, as a gratuity to show gratitude. In total, we're talking about 151 for the supposed 10% discount, but it didn't feel very customer-oriented. (Translated by Google) A fairly dark setting in the evening, and the decor is very busy (to everyone's discretion). The food was good in itself, but €8 for 4 spring rolls put me off straight away. It's quite expensive, at least more than other restaurants in Salon. I was quite surprised and disappointed not to have stuffed crab or even Peking duck on the menu (the basis in my opinion for a Chinese/Vietnamese...). So although we didn't have a bad time per se I don't think we'll be back. I find other similar restaurants in Salon cheaper and better on certain dishes (even if once again the food was good in itself).

Restaurant
The third visit to Chadiyo reaffirmed my love for this restaurant. The absence of a traditional menu is compensated by a concise selection of three options, which form the foundation of their homemade and meticulously prepared dishes. It's worth noting that they cater to families, offering a children's dish priced at 9 euros. This special plate allows kids to choose from the same options as their parents but in smaller portions.
Wow fantastic desserts and the service was friendly too. Even though we struggled to communicate, the staff was patient and explained as much as she could with a lot of attentively. The prices were a bit steep but nevertheless the food was delicious. We enjoyed the food and definitely would be back for more.

Rather disappointed by the food and wine. The menu looked original and enticing but the actual food did not taste good.

(Translated by Google) 3rd experience and still the same opinion, I love it! No menu, a menu with 3 choices as we say the basis for homemade and carefully prepared dishes 😙 Good to know, we came as a family and a children's dish at 9€ which consists of choosing like mum or dad but in small quantities.

(Translated by Google) Great food, very nice staff. A small menu, but I think everyone can choose something for themselves. The best restaurant in Salon de Provence. (Original) Tolles Essen, sehr nettes Personal. Eine kleine Karte, aber ich denke, dass jeder etwas für sich wählen kann. Das beste Restaurant in Salon de Provence.

The staff is super smiley and very friendly, very pleasant to eat there. Fast and careful service. Vietnamese restaurant
On 03/11/2023, I visited Chez Cam, an exceptional Vietnamese restaurant. The server impressed us with their kindness and wit, creating a delightful dining experience. The delectable cuisine showcased the chef's talent and attention to detail. The modern decor transported us to Vietnam, adorned with vibrant lanterns and accompanied by traditional music. This establishment left a lasting impression, providing an enjoyable culinary voyage through Asia. We appreciate the memorable moments created at Chez Cam.
Good food, very nice staff.

(Translated by Google) I recently discovered this great restaurant and have already been twice in a short time! The welcome is really warm and professional, and the cuisine is delicious with homemade dishes. We tried the Vietnamese fondue (mix between land and sea… a real treat) I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s delicious! 😄 See you soon 😉🍽️ (Original) J'ai récemment découvert ce super restaurant et je suis déjà allée deux fois en peu de temps ! (Translated by Google) Very nice little restaurant, the atmosphere is calm and very pleasant. We went there as a couple but there was a family when we arrived so the restaurant is really suitable for everyone. The food is excellent for those who love everything Asian. I haven't put a photo of the desserts but I highly recommend it for those who like bananas there are 2, one in the form of a cake and the other is hot coconut milk with banana and pearls of tapioca. I really recommend this little restaurant, it also does takeaway.
