(Translated by Google) The recently restored palace has superb parquet floors!! Incredible parquet restoration work. It smells like juniper))! The rest of the palace is entirely eclectic - a mixture of styles. Stunning and unique - there is no other like it - glass bead cabinet Bugle beads and satin stitch embroidery all over the walls instead of wallpaper and damask. 300 rubles for adults without benefits. + 100 rubles entrance to Oranienbaum Park. The park is currently undergoing very active work to rebuild ponds and paths. And so everything is dug up. It's difficult to get through without a map.

Despite the external restraint and some severity, the interior decoration of the palace is elegant and surprisingly elegant. The main highlight of the Chinese Palace is the Glass Cabinet, which has preserved the original decoration of the 1760s. I really enjoyed the tour, I learned a lot of interesting facts. I recommend visiting. By 2023, the palace will be completely restored. Take your document with you, as Russian citizens have discounts on tickets (Original)

Of course, the most vivid impression is visiting the glass bead room, although all the other rooms and rooms are very beautiful. I recommend visiting, it's worth it! (Translated by Google) This is a wonderful place for walking and relaxing from the hustle and bustle. Tours in the palace take place with an earpiece and a transmitter; if you stay in the hall, you can hear everything the guide says. There are vending machines with hot drinks and small snacks on site.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful, beautiful place, friendly staff, but there is one BUT - why were they given headphones when you can hear the guide without them? This is not the Hermitage, there are no large halls here, everything is quite cramped. And the excursion was so-so, the guide was not at all interesting in telling the story. Two words about the room and the rest - this vase is so-and-so, this picture was painted by so-and-so. You can see everything in 30 minutes, but here it is stretched out for an hour, well then at least tell us something more interesting from the life of the sovereigns. And one more thing - at the entrance they put on shoe covers, since the parquet floors have been preserved from the 18th century and are very slippery. Is it worth a visit? Definitely - Yes. The interiors are quite interesting, especially since almost everything has been preserved from the time of Catherine II and where people lived for a long time. People are allowed into the palace only if it is not raining outside and only with a guided tour starting at 12 o’clock, but this is conditional, our group went through earlier.

Don’t take a step to the left, don’t remove the mask from your nose, don’t roll on the floor. Unpleasant, spoils the whole impression of the visit (Original) (Translated by Google) Amazing place! A picturesque and green park. Small in size, but not small either. With beautiful views and cute palaces. There is a mini zoo with ducks, pheasants, deer and goats. There are a lot of comfortable benches, which is also a plus! And if you get hungry there are several hot dog stands. True, the price is a bit expensive 🤔 There are toilets. Entrance to the park is paid; with a Russian passport, entry is 100 rubles. Overall, a good park for recreation) The only thing is that when we arrived there a week ago, we encountered some inconveniences... half of the park was fenced off, construction work was going on and the ponds were dried up, I hope they will finish it soon and it will be possible to see the whole park) (Original) Восхитительное место!

The Menshikovskiy Dvorets is a large palace and park complex in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was originally built between 1714 and 1730 for Field Marshal VI Ivan Muscovite Menshikov, one of the most powerful men of his age. The palace now houses the Museum of Russian Art and contains several art galleries, as well as an extensive collection of sculpture.
A gorgeous palace with intense meaning for my family as many of my ancestors were Volga Germans who first came to Russia from Western and Southwest Germany via Saint Petersburg, arriving first at the gates of the Oranienbaum, some possibly greeted by Catherine The Great herself from her balcony, many of the Germans having been invited to Russia while she was Empress. The gardens are stunning and we only bought tickets for these outer courtyards but it was moving to stand where my immigrant ancestral grandparents likely also stood as they entered Russia en route to a new life on the Volga.

It a very beautiful building with plenty of space to walk in the garden, however what is weird is the amount of guards taking care that nobody steps on the grass, they literally shout at people who steps on the grass. Otherwise it is such a great place to visit and avoid crowds, while still being amazed with the scale of beauty and the level of life they used to live.

Beautiful big park, although currently (July 2016) half of it is unavailable due to reconstruction. Lots of alleys to walk, benches to sit, ponds, flowers, palaces. At the moment free admission (also cause of reconstruction).

Nice castle near the most known Petergof. It was built by the Peter the Great's right hand. The castle is still on ongoing restoration, so many rooms are still closed to the public. Lately they opened the church, worth for a visit,. The 1st part is made of audiovisual contents about the history of the aeea and why Menshikov became so important and powerful. In the 2nd part you visit the central building where there are beautiful restored private rooms. This part is described by a tourguide, available in russian and english. There is also the pissibility to take an audioguide.

We visit it at start of January about 3pm it was really wet and grey and didn't look very nice how you can expect from pictures. When it get's darker outside, everything start to look better and more alive.I didn't been inside at any of these buildings so can make my opinion only about view from street side and inside of park.As any of these ancient buildings it's still nice to see at least once so not a big deal to go 29 kilometers from city to have a look at it and take some good pictures.I bet is absolutely different view at summer or even spring but I doubt what I gonna come back to see it again.Wish you good luck and best impressions

Interesting place to visit. We were there in winter. We had lots of snow and the palace was at restavration. Definitely want to go there in summer. Although we were in winter and it was cold, there were people working in the palace, guards and stuff who were very kind and answering every question in details. They even tried to explain us a bit about the palace, how it is in summer etc. If you are for more days in spb, or simply live here, you should visit the place. The road is worthed :) however if you are short with time, i guess it is better to see the places and palaces that sre more famous
