Restaurant
Hotel & Gasthof Perauer is a cozy property offering warm rooms with balconies and a spa for relaxation. The restaurant exudes a traditional ambiance, with nicely dressed waiters serving local cuisine. While some found the food to be amazing and the service top-notch, others experienced slow service but still enjoyed the plentiful and well-presented dishes. Overall, it's considered one of the best restaurants in the area, providing a friendly ambience and delicious local cuisine.
Fabulous restaurant and bar. Great service, the food is very traditional Austrian wit a contemporary twist and a considerable steak menu. The bar / waiting area is lovely and the main restaurant is superb. Never had anything other than great service in there, but in peak season you will need to book as it gets very busy.

Had a couple of meals here on holiday. The food is amazing and the service is top class, despite being extremely busy both times we were there. Restaurant maintains a traditional feel despite being very large. Only 4/5 stars because the wine was overpriced and average.
geoffhall100 — Google review
Great atmosphere & decoration, very clean. Friendly staff, wonderful food & selection with good quality/cost ratio. Zweibelrostbrat & Pork knuckle recommended, big portions.

The food was great. Plentiful, good quality, well presented and served by friendly staff. The service was a little slow but they were very busy and we were in no rush as its such a beautiful restaurant

We had two meals in the restaurant food and service were very good, price was average for the town

Well, that was one hell of a displeasing diner experience! Having had a reservation for 19:30 for 3 (and showing up at that exact time), we were asked to wait. That’s perfectly fine. So we asked to wait at the bar in order to have an apero. After 15 minutes we wondered, after 30 minutes we were annoyed and after 45 minutes, when a suitable table was suited with guests that arrived well after us, we got angry. That should have been our table! The discussions between the waitress and the “cheffe de salle” showed obviously that something went seriously wrong (we understood every single bit of their discussion). However, no effort was made in order to communicate with us or to redress the mistake! After one hour of waiting (!) we finally got a small table. However, having preordered the fondue for two, not all the dishes for the 3 guests would fit the small table. Anyhow, that wouldn’t bother the waitresses who responded with utter indifference! “Not our problem” (also well understood!). Obviously the barmaid was very concerned since she witnessed the whole misery from the very beginning. She tried to redress the situation but was seamingly countered by management to whome every so small gesture/concession/courtesy was too much. The barmaid sided with us and couldn’t but express her utter disbelieve on how things were handled! Leaving feedback wasn’t appreciated either and no effort whatsover was made in order to correct this obviously desasteous night! What a pitty! Feeling robbed, feeling dumped! Contrary to what is written in the menu - the guest is certainly not king in this place!

The ribeye is one of the best cuts of meat I have ever had. Unreal. The server was also amazing & spoke English which was very nice… If I would have discovered this restaurant earlier, I would go every day 😂!
Ceestive — Google review
Nice atmosphere, but it seemed quite expensive. Then again, some of the portions are large, so possibly worth it if you're hungry. Very meat-heavy menu with barely any real options for vegetarians.

A dream!!! First time here, but will book again and again and again!!! Super friendly, good food, great bar and close to the slopes!!! I AM SOLD! 👍😊

We tried this restaurant since it had a traditional look&feel and wanted to try something more local. It looks great on the inside, it's cozy and the waiters are nicely dressed in costumes. Our waiter was great, he made sure we had everything we needed, but the food came quite late, it was good, but not tasty and not something that I would order again. Maybe we were just unlucky with our choices.

One of the best restaurants in the area! Very welcoming and organized staff. They will make sure you are satisfied. Dominic created friendly ambience and even accepted to make a special cocktail. Food is 10/10 if you are trying to find local cuisine! ✅

Restaurant
The restaurant "Pane e Vino" da Michele - La Bottega dei Sapori is an incredible dining establishment in Austria, offering the best pasta dishes in the country and beyond. Their tuna carpaccio is superb and highly recommended, but the standout dish is their black truffle ravioli: the sauce, truffles, and giant ravioli are all extraordinary. The Panna Cotta for dessert is also delicious.
Delicious! Great place, comfortable, clean. friendly and attentive waiters. Everything is delicious like in the best restaurants in Italy!

This place is an absolute gem. The antipasto plate was huge! The truffle ricotta and hazelnut tortellini were divine so light. The carbonara was also excellent. Great wine list. Highly recommend

We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation (seriously, if you want guaranteed seating, get a reservation - the place is packed around dinnertime). Food was fantastic(!), excellent and very friendly staff. Best Italian food we've had so far(and we've been to Italy).

Lovely restaurant with delicious food! We’ve been there 2 times for dinner and everything was excepțional! The stuff is italian, profesional and friendly (especially the lady 🤍) We tried sea food pasta, vongole pasta, carbonara, porcini bruscheta, polenta with porcini and truffles, sautéed mussels and clams, everything super delicious. They even have a boutique on the right part of the restaurant where you can buy many Italian goodies at affordable prices. We bought the olive oil they serve at the table (really good one), chilly oil and salami. Don’t miss this place as they do not disappoint! 🫶🏻

Wow wow wow! Such an amazing restaurant. Best pasta dishes we ate in Austria by far and in general. The tuna carpaccio is fabulous and I'll recommend it with all of my heart but the best dish is the black truffles ravioli! The sauce is amazing the truffles are amazing and the giant ravioli is amazing, just order it. For dessert we took the Panna Cotta and it was delicious is well! Almost one year later and my girlfriend still dreams about their ravioli

We really enjoyed Italian experience in Pane e vino restaurant. Everything what we ordered was delicious. My risotto was amazing 😋 Book table in advance.

Amazing food. Quiet atmosphere. Had a great bottle of barbera wine with dinner to top off a fantastic holiday.

We decided to write this review only after the tragic reaction of the restaurant owners. We were served a mix of bruschetta with WORMS. See the picture below. The situation could have been handled with dignity and honesty, but the owners' reaction was simply a lack of culture and greediness. They offered to pay for half of the bruschetta portion. Of course, we didn't agree to this absurdity and stated that we had no intention of paying for WORMS! If you want to eat some WORMS and pay the Italian coperto added to the bill, feel free to come. Beware, because the rudeness of the owners may cause indigestion.

we’ve been in Austria for ten days and we ate here four times. Such a lovely restaurant with great food and wonderful service. My husband is obsessed with the carbonara. I loved the ravioli. Thank you for looking after us!
Amy Bee Sting — Google review
Quite a good place with a nice menu. The restaurant is relatively small so if you want to visit it — I'd recommend to reserve a table in advance. The staff is mostly Italian but they speak English and German as well. Dishes are delicious but nothing extraordinary. Water on tap is free of charge and they bring it in nice bottles. The service could be a bit better though.
Artem Zverkovskiy — Google review
I want to start by saying the restaurant itself and staff are very lovely and welcoming, the vibe of the exterior was so comfortable to sit and relax, to start we ordered bruschetta and the prawn salad. Both were very tasty, the bruschetta portion was a bit too large for a starter but I wouldn’t suggest that being a bad thing. The prawns were delicious but a little under seasoned, the smell of garlic was unfortunately stronger than the taste. Overall the starters were good. We then waited around 40-50 minutes for our starters to be taken and our mains to arrive, again the ambiance of the outside area made that wait a little more enjoyable. When the mains arrived I was gobsmacked that I’d been served what looked like an entire lobster. Unfortunately when I turned the lobster over I very quickly noticed it had been cut in half, and the majority of the meat had been removed. The most frustrating part of this dish, was that the restaurant do not have or provide any shell crackers for shell fish, meaning I was not able to break into this entire lobster that had been served what so ever. This very quickly brought my experience to a low, as the dish was one of the most expensive on the menu. Whilst eating the little bits of meat that had been left I noticed a bitter taste, this was actually the lobster giblets that had not been removed during the preparation process. I had bits of dark lobster intestine floating around in my spaghetti. As you can imagine, this was pretty revolting to see. This dish really did shatter my mood as I was so excited upon its initial arrival. A very very, underwhelming ultimatum to what could be a fantastic Italian restaurant in the heart if Mayrhofen. The staff were lovely and same with the aesthetic, just such a huge shame about the food. Whilst paying the bill I noticed a table of 2 behind me complaining about the exact same issues (portion size and lack of lobster meat). I suppose it serves me well of venturing away from the amazing traditional Austrian cuisine. 2/5 Stars.

The main courses are bad, the other things are ok. The waitress was really nice. The owner was busy with other stuff. Everything took a long time, A lot of dissatisfied guests.

Restaurant
Mos is an ideal eatery for families with children, offering American cuisine and beverages. Although it may not be the most affordable establishment, the food's quality and generous portions compensate for it. The restaurant boasts contemporary interiors, ensuring easy accessibility, while attentive waitstaff provide prompt service. In Mayrhofen, Mos is renowned for serving exceptional steaks accompanied by a selection of Shiraz wines. Moreover, if you tire of steak options, they offer a diverse menu.
Really great spot in town! Food was the best we have had in Mayrhofen so far. The service was amazing too. Vegetarian options too! Was so good we went back a second night 😁

One of the better services we got in Mayrofen. Yet they didn't know English like in most of the city. The food is good but not super great. The prices are fine. It was a good night but not a 5 stars one. Yet in Mayrofen most nights were worse.

The vibe is pretty cool. Service was great. Food was good but not great. Pizza needed to be crispy and picante items did not taste spicy. Good place to relax after a mountain hike or a day of skiing or snowboarding.

Burgers were quite dry, but good price for tourist place. It was served quite fast.

Best steaks in Mayrhofen. Believe me I tried steaks in every venue here. Best with Shiraz. They have a lot of options if you get bored with steaks. It’s more a bar rather than a restaurant. Very compact and friendly atmosphere. I wish more venues like this in Tirol.
Ishanov Alisher — Google review
Very good pizza, nice hot wine. Few tables outside to seat and watch the world go by.

Big venue in central Mayerhofen. We went as we hadn't booked anywhere that night and it was a large venue. They were happy to accommodate, but could only find a small table given we were 6. Service was varied depending on how busy it was but attentive. Huge menu with a varied selection of foods. Most of our group had burgers and beer and they were pretty tasty. I know they do some live music.
Alex Bull — Google review
Burger was good and chips great. Tagliatelle sauce was not cooked properly as it still had raw flour and the prawns were over cooked. Friendly wait staff. A decent price for a good sized portion.

Great vibe to this place. Love it. Food is so good and waitresses lovely.

Fairly quiet during early afternoon. Burgers the others had looked nice and was told they were very tasty. The service was good and food served quickly and very hot. Atmosphere was a little lacking as no background music was being played.
Tony W — Google review
We order burgers, side dishes, wings and nuggets. Every thing we ate was tasty. They followed our doneness request ("medium", "medium-well", ...). The service was really really good, the waitress was very calm, welcoming and friendly (: The price for burgers (200-250 gram) is around 17 euro and side dishes are around 6-9 euro.
Elad Newman — Google review
We had drinks - very simple and cheap taste. We had mr.big burger. The burger was awful - meat was overcooked dry as wood. And the burger all together dry as hell, only some drips of sauce, dry bread. Impossible to chew and swollow. When we told the waiter he advised us to add some mayo that lays on the table. Terrible experience. Filled jalapeno peppers were some new experience as well. Not in a good way. Fast in, fast out, ruined evening.

Awesome place to eat in, the food is really depends on what you take. First, TAKE THE CHEESECAKE YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! I took the 2 vegetarian burgers, the one with the mozzarella was my personal favourite, the guacamole one is too dry for me but ok, the sweet potato chips are high quality, the pina colada is good too, The PIZZA is dry and basically not that great. Overall, very good place, very nice service.
EyalBeja — Google review
The dippy chips are amazing. The vegetarian food is clearly labelled and has been delicious. I recommend the Thai red curry with pineapple. Delicious. The Happiness mocktail was a little taste of happiness as well. Portions are very well sized.

Restaurant
Goldkind in Mayrhofen is a haven for vegetarians and vegans, offering an impressive plant-based selection that includes burgers, pasta, and curry. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with attentive staff who provide great food suggestions. The cozy yet modern ambiance and friendly owners make it the best place in Zillertal for vegans. While the food quality is excellent for the price, there might be long waiting times on busy evenings.
My partner and I came on our last night of our holiday. The restaurant feels very welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive and had lots of great suggestions for foods, portions and wines. The service was absolutely fabulous and the food was incredible. I had the duck breast with sweet potato, pistachio and celeriac. It was so delicious, the sauce was full bodied and the caramelisation one the sweet potato went very well with the tender duck breast. We had a wonderful evening and it was a great way to round off our trip. We’ll definitely be back.

The best place to eat in Mayrhofen. Beautiful (vegan) food with super friendly staff (most but not all - would've been 5* if not for one not so good experience) who go out of their way to provide a great experience. Loved eating here on the yep occasions that I could get a table. Reservation essential.

Goldkind is hands down the best place in Zillertal for vegans! Besides the delicious food, the atmosphere is cozy but modern, and the owners and staff are so kind and friendly. We were there for dinner, the vegan options were a burger, vegetable curry, pan fried smoked tofu, jacket sweet potato, and ravioli (Schlutzkrapfen). They also have a vegan hot chocolate on the menu as well as pancakes, breakfast bowls with soy yogurt. They also offer a rotating selection of deserts, with at least one vegan cake. This place is very busy so make sure to make reservations 1-2 days in advance!

By far the best food I have eaten in Mayrhofen, probably the best meal I have eaten in years! I was blown away by both the presentation and the quality of the food, it was just delicious. I will be dreaming about it for the foreseeable! Gorgeous restaurant with a great ambience and decor.

Very good food quality vs price. This was a nice surprise. But long waiting times due to busy Friday night evening. And our waitress was friendly, but the lady at the bar was a bit rude. Finally I can certainly recommend the place for the nice food. Service is probably better when less crowded.

I would highly recommend Goldkind. I've dined here twice during my ski trip to Mayrhofen. They had great vegan options, and the male waiter's service was excellent. Such a warm atmosphere with feel-good decor. I want shares here!

Café Tirol · Restaurant Mayrhofen offers fantastic food and service, with a superb team of staff. The burgers and schnitzel are both delicious. However, the standout feature of this place is its impressive wine menu, offering great wines at incredible prices. This sets it apart from other establishments in the area. It is highly recommended as a safe choice in Mayerhofen, known for its long-established café with friendly staff.
The food and service is fantastic, with a great team of staff. We had burgers and schnitzel and both were delicious. But the real positive about this place is the wine menu. Really great wines at incredible prices, which is very different to most other places in mayrhofen. Highly recommended.

Decent all day restaurant. We came here for brunch. The kitchen is very slow but the food was OK, although waaay too much, (see picture, one tower per person). We did get the leftovers in a doggybag so at least it didn't get wasted.
