We stayed here for two nights, whilst on a weekend trip to the Wye Valley. The Punch House was great. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were just what we needed. Clean, tidy and comfortable. We are in the pub on Saturday night which was very enjoyable. The food was cooked well and came out quickly.

Unfortunately they weren't doing food this particular day, however I asked if there was a local ice-cream shop so my son could have a treat, there wasn't one open so they let him have one for free from the restaurant so he didn't go without. Not many people like this about anymore. Fantastic. Really appreciated

Stopped here halfway through a long walk. It's a good central location. It had a good atmosphere for a Monday lunch time and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The food was cheap and good - good portions too. No bells and whistles, just a good local pub. Dog friendly also!

Good beer, good food, great service. Had a live band on and the place was buzzing. Used the punch house as a base for a weekend with friends, location was ideal and accommodation was perfect for what we needed. Special shout out to Vicky who looked after us throughout the weekend. Will definitely be going back.

We booked a table as we knew Saturday lunchtime would be busy, which it certainly was. We were warmly welcomed and showed to our table. Dogs are very welcome with doggie treats and cosy beds to pamper them with. Our food order was taken however, one of our party only wanted a desert (cheesecake), which they didn't have. No problem though, as Vicky (the Manager) very kindly popped out to M&S and bought one specially. The meals portions were enormous and delicious and were great value for money. Such a lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. The Punch House is highly recommended.

Really lovely pub which allows children and dogs in. We took the kids for some food and it was absolutely brilliant. The kids really enjoyed it and our food was delicious. Even though the staff were really busy they were polite and served us as soon as they were able. We will happily come again, next time we're in the area.

I'm biased as the hosts are some of my oldest friends. That being said, this place is a real treat. It's got character and style. The food is excellent, staff friendly and the host Vicky is just the best. ❤️

I travelled up from Devon for a surprise reunion lunch with my 94 year old Mum and my sister who I hadn’t seen for 4 years. From the moment I arrived I was given a lovely welcome and during the whole time we were there your lovely staff couldn’t have been kinder or more professional. We had a delicious lunch (scampi) and your staff went out of their way to accommodate my mum’s dietary needs. I can’t remember the last time I had proper chips as yummy as these. There was a good selection of wines to choose from and the dining area was spacious and clean and warm. Thank you all very much.

Spent a wonderful weekend there, the landlady is smashing and all the staff couldn't do more for you to be comfortable and happy in her establishment. Absolutely fantastic. The rooms are lovely and quiet, with all the services one could expect. I will definitely come back.

Stayed overnight with our ancient bearded collie and were very well looked after. Room 6 was spacious with a good shower and comfy bed. The sisters who run it were really welcoming. It was wonderful sitting outside, in the square, in the evening sunshine with a chardonnay and a pint of Butty Bach.

Our special holiday meal out was dampened after I had to go and ask how long our food would be after waiting over an hour ,No apologies were given when it finally arrived. A couple arrived after us and got their food first. No hot drinks were available There were no other people eating in the pub. I don't know why it serves food as it clearly isn't a priority. Very popular place to sit outside and drink. Nice that they allow dogs inside (which is why we chose this pub).

Monmouth town, best pub, Great local and visitors pub.Located at the top of town. Great front yard / square sun trap in the summer. Very welcoming to patrons and their dogs. Pick up a dog cushion by the door on the way in and find a great table to relax with a drink . Food and rooms available. Staff very welcoming.

Turned up here at 7.15 pm having checked online that food was being served until 9pm only to be told we stopped serving food at 7pm - really!!! No apology or anything. Won't be rushing back. We made a special journey just to be disappointed.

Fabulous ale house pub with some nice comfortable, dog-friendly rooms above. Parking on street right outside, as long as you leave early. In the middle of Monmouth. Felt good.

Nice friendly traditional pub in the centre of Monmouth. Good range of beers on offer, nice warm fire. Traditional pub meals served, fish n chips, scampi, pie, chilli at good prices with decent sized portions. Very friendly polite staff and dogs welcome, water bowls, dog mats and cosy blankets provided.

Popped in for a quick drink on a Friday night. Despite it being busy, the bar staff were very kind and generous with their time, providing local knowledge and advice. Beautiful pub, clean and well run with what looked like great food! Thanks guys x

Went here for a bite to eat after going to the garden centre. Was surprised at the lack of dairy free choices, didn't seem accommodating at all, not even a pack of crisps on offer. Be aware hot food stops being served after 3pm. I expected sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes etc. But there were only cakes, ice-cream, a quiche and vegan flapjack. Unsure what hot food they would have but pies and lasagne was the only thing sign posted. As we went after 3pm and I'm non dairy I could only have a can of pop (I was told they stopped doing things like that...dairy free). My friend got a cake but was overpriced and a little burnt. Disappointed as I used to come here as a child and it was lovely then. Maybe I will try sometime before they stop serving hot food.

Stopped here on our motorbikes and had a wonderful fresh cheesecake and a lovely bakewell tart, both home made, with coffee. Really well made and tasty. Friendly staff. Nice location, tucked away and in the grounds in a garden centre. Will make it a regular stop

I have been to this cafe many times and have always found it to be lovely. If the weather is good you can sit outside, but if wet there is plenty of room inside. There is a varied menu which is very good and the cakes are wonderful. Finally I have always found the staff to be extremely good and very polite. I would highly recommend this cafe together with the Garden Centre.

Cappuccino like hot water. Minute bakewell square £2.95! What? Grossly overpriced. Will never return. I wouldn't have the nerve to charge so much for a tiny piece of cake. If I had been ordering I would have cancelled this item but husband was ordering this time. Always be suspicious if prices not displayed on cakes!

Great place to stop as I was travelling through wales. It’s in a garden centre so look out for it!

Great place to eat,recommend the sausage sandwiches for breakfast always served with really fresh bread and great quality sausages. Good coffee to and always a good selection of cakes and treats I notice. Staff are always very friendly and helpful to. Thanks Red Door love visiting.

Busy when we arrived for lunch but we were soon seated. Once our food arrived it was easy to see why, lovely food - huge portions at a reasonable price. The cheesecake in particular was incredible.

Very disappointing, couldn't have what I ordered because the cook got it wrong and ran out of mushrooms, but seeing my partners greasy overcooked omelette, maybe I was better off with just bland poached eggs. Overpriced, and service could improve too. First and last.

Great atmosphere on a weekend with dancing in one bar and sports in the other. A great selection of drinks here too 🍻 The staff are absolutely lovely and recommend shots which didn't disappoint. Can't remember much after but it was a good start to the evening

Very loud Public House. Those people there seemed to be having a great time, very rowdy and crowded. Not for us, but if that is your thing, fill your boots.

They don't serve food but the pub is a great place to visit. The staff are so friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Very clean and well presented. I always visit the Green Dragon when visiting Monmouth.

As we walked in it smelt like something had died in the lounge. In fact we asked what the smell was. Ordered our drinks and sat down.. after about 5 mins I noticed 2 old men smoking vapes. Lots of smoke. I thought my glasses were dirty but it was the haze in the room. Maybe that was the reason other than our party there were only the 2 old men in the lounge. We did plan on staying here the evening but after the 1 drink we left. I cant understand why the landlord allows vapes indoors when it was a lovely dry evening..Nobody knows what's in the mist that's being spewed out for others to take in. Place didnt smell very nice at all

On holiday from the cotswolds one of the best Chinese meals we have had. Better than ours in the cotswolds. We had pork & mushroom, beef satay and sweet and sour chicken. Excellent quality and quantity

Called this evening and couldn’t believe the service . This is our regular Chinese and always have the most perfect host , she is lovely . Tonight was so very different . I was trying to ensure due to allergies , that these were omitted and she continually tutted and rolled her eyes at me . I actually had to quietly and calmly ask if she could let me speak to which she again visibly got angry with me . Once I’d paid she mumbled it would take longer due to having no staff ! Not my problem love , soon you won’t need staff as you won’t have custom ! Disgraceful. Canton kitchen from now on . 😡

My favourite dish is Singapore Vermicelli and the Full House didn't disappoint . I asked for it abit more spicy and it was perfect. Plenty of meat and prawns . I also got sesame prawn toast , delicious. One of the best takeaways I've had .😋

Highly recommend, really fancied a Chinese take away on our last night in Monmouth, really generous portion sizes, chicken fried rice/Duck in plum sauce/pancake roll/ribs and sesame prawn toast were all cooked lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed it 😊👍100% go to Full house 👍

Really tasty, great size portions and prices. Was ready to collect in 15 mins on a Saturday evening. We had: sesame prawn toast - you get loads of it and it's delicious veggie spring rolls - standard king prawns and mushrooms in black bean sauce - really nice, massive prawns and nice big chunks of mushroom veggie chow mein - very tasty Only thing that would make it better for me would be some cripsy tofu options. It's really good that they have a whole Quorn section for people who don't eat meat but personally I would prefer tofu :)

Delicious.... Came to Monmouth for Xmas getaway. Fancied Chinese. Found this takeaway....... Big portions, lovely flavour. Ordered set meal a for 2 people. Udon noodles. Mushroom rice, chicken & mushrooms. Sw&sour chicken. 4 people. Yummy. Would use again. Still got some left in the fridge lol. * * * * *'s

What an amazing place to dine in so beautiful and atmospheric! The food was amazing,service was fantastic all staff friendly and welcoming. Given a table by the window upstairs so we could people watch. Ordering is easy can be done through the app using a QR code. Food did not take long to arrive and was amazing. I noticed how family friendly it was too a few people with children. These family had games provided or children given activities fantastic idea. I will definitely visit again

Amazing! Quick service and oh the food is amazing. Slightly pricey but must say worth every penny. Lovely service and ability to order at the bar or via your phone.

Wow, The service here is always absolutely amazing the staff are always on point and nothing is ever too much trouble. I normally go with a large group of adults woth mixed abilities a group of 10+ without booking and the staff go above and beyond to help us find tables and settle. The food is also always tasty and we have had no really complaints, my only observation is for me the burgers are small so I add an extra burger in ans sometimes order extra chips as they come in a silly mug which us already half filled woth grease proof paper so on count you get about 12 to 14 chips sometimes less. Honestly though the food tastes great and is always fresh and hot. The chefs must be on fire in this heat. ( 29 degrees) Deserts are OK again rather small for the price and kinda average I'm my opinion but I know plenty that absolutely love them. I had the sticky toffee pudding, it was like a ginger cake with sauce rather then the better know sticky toffee pudding, definitely could have eaten two 😋 Drinks yep again always super great and made with love. Will be going back and highly recommend. We'll done and thank you to all staff it's no easy job and you always go the extra step.

Enjoyed our little visit here. Similar to weather spoons. Decent fair prices. Staff were accommodating and friendly. In our party we had a disabled one and there was adequate access and toilets available. Toilets were reasonably clean. Good food and drink. If I was in area again we would definitely come back

A nice restaurant/cafe place in Monmouth. Well decorated and with a friendly feel to it. Funnioy enough, a lot of the furniture makes it look like a pub, but the rest of the decoration leans towards a lounge. We didn't have the best of experience with obtaining a table. Whilst there is a sign asking to wait to be seated, we did so for 20 mins with little feedback on the progress of our request or an offer to get drinks in the meantime. The food menu was nice, but not exceptional. The fish finger sandwich was a bit dry and the mezze style salad was drowning in feta cheese (I am surprised to be saying that!). The staff was otherwise pleasant. We were able to bring the dog in which is always great. Their selection of cakes looked nice but we were a bit full. Food prices were decent too.

Much like many of the lounges, good food and good price. Family friendly for coffee or food too. Can't go too far wrong with one of the lounges. Service was quick once ordered, probably best to order on the app to get served quickly.

Great place for food or drinks! Staff are super helpful, and they can accommodate for gluten free. They have a whole separate menu with loads of choice. Dog friendly inside and out. They have an outdoor seating area out back and plenty more seating upstairs. Bathrooms are located upstairs but they do have a disabled loo too.

Our group of 3 visited Estero Lounge for breakfast. Service was fast, kind and professional. Food was great: very tasty with some extra pieces I haven’t seen elsewhere. Place was clean and spacious. Ofc as like in any other chain - coffee was average. But I’m used to that so nothing new. Still: I can recommend Estero Lounge if your looking to place for breakfast in Manmouth.

Loved the atmosphere hear only had drinks and a laugh with family for my sons 50th loved the dim lightin.this is my new place for wen I come to Monmouth and want to go out for a drink.😀🍸🍸🍷

Loved it here!!!! Wonderful atmosphere, love the quirky decor, especially the amazing chandeliers upstairs. Full gluten free menu. Fast service, excellent quality, portions just right.

Was quite possibly the BEST breakfast / brunch I've ever had! Sausages were full of flavour, bacon cook perfectly, and as silly as it sounds the hash browns were devine. Not too crispy not too soft! Highly recommended with super helpful staff as well.

Beautiful place on a lovely hot summers day or even when it's raining! The Service is great, staff are just the best! Great menu...I would have avocado brunch every day if I could! Not overly priced either great coffee and cocktails too!! Okay, i'll leave it there, can't write much more because I'm getting quite hungry with the photos 🤣

So great to have this much choice for people who are coeliac and with staff who understand allergies/food limitations. We've not seen our daughter so trusting or happy eating out for a very long time. Thank you- would recommend for anyone, but definitely good for people with allergies or coeliac 👌
