Visited the Ashbridge Inn on a Friday morning for a bite to eat. Was greeted by a friendly lady who sat us down right away and took out drink orders. We ordered food and it arrived really quickly and was piping hot. Food tasted lovely, I had opted for a burger, unfortunately they were out of coleslaw so they offered alternatives, I picked onion rings. Food was great, service was good, prices were very reasonable and there was a lovely atmosphere there. Well worth a visit if you're local or are willing to drive. Plenty of car park spacing outside Infront of the property which is free, would highly recommend 👍🏼

Where do I start? Drinks lacked any flavour, roast beef too dry, potatoes and cauliflower cheese uncooked. Not enough gravy. Roly poly desert dry as a bone and lacked jam. All round food and drinks disaster. Won’t be returning

Would certainly recommend this place. Friendly and approachable staff. The food was perfectly cooked and portion size was enough. All in all the experience was very enjoyable and will return again.

We visited here for breakfast and left feeling disappointed. The breakfast is good value but the quality is terrible. We had continental breakfast followed by the order what you want option. It took 45 minutes for the food to be brought out and it was cold like it had been sat for ages. The sausages and bacon seemed just cooked. The eggs were hard and the beans were hard. It's not a good value option when you leave hungry. I will not return and will try one of the local breakfast places in future.

Overall, food was disappointing other than the beef burgers, which stood out from the rest of the menu. The service was great from the morning and evening staff, but overall, the food was below par for the price. Below is a picture of what should of been cheesy garlic bread which was priced as a stater for £5.95 and as you can see no attention from the kitchen on this and that manager should of picked up on this before sent out.

We had a lovely meal, ordered with Charlotte, who was pleasant and friendly. I had the carvery, roast beef, my sister and husband had curry. The beef, vegetables were cooked just right. The desserts were nice too. Altogether a relaxing and lovely time.

One thing I'm not fussed on is the lighting in the restaurant it's a little dim unless sat by the bay windows other than that place is lovely and cosy. Great selection of food, breakfast is great value for money and amazing offer where kids get to eat free. Well done ashbridge. Also, you can sign up for the rewards card and earn points for money spent. Will definitely return.

Beautiful restaurant in a lovely setting. I had the lasagne it was delicious, I was served by Anthony he was a right character and really cheered me up. Also big shout out to Morgan in the kitchen my pudding was stunning and the perfect end to my meal. Will definitely be back

Lunch with our granddaughter this afternoon from the Value Meal menu. Friendly staff and good service; good menu which is reasonably priced; generous portions of tasty food. Recommended.

Arrived earlier than expected as we booked in but we were accomadated by Rob really quickly. There was only a limited menu and cooked dinner was the only choice available but that's exactly what we came for :). Rob was attentive and fantastic throughout our whole time there. The food was delicious and very tasty. 10/10 service , food and customer care and service .

Delicious unlimited breakfast - order at your table so all beautifully fresh rather than having been sat out at a buffet style counter. Easy to order seconds when you were ready too. Good choice of continental style breakfast included too and also unlimited fruit juice and tea/coffee. Staff were very helpful and readily available if you wanted to order seconds of cooked breakfast or get croissants warmed etc. Had a lovely breakfast which kept us going until teatime. Thank you!

Very friendly meal was not the best to be honest just pub grub but Christmas we had a great meal there so its hit and miss

We had a large family booking for a birthday and everything was perfect all orders timely and correct and the staff were absolutely amazing. they were friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond. looking forward to visiting again.

Decided to give it a try after reading all the good reviews and booked a table for Saturday 2nd March. Attended and first issue is it's cold no heating on and sat by the front door, next came the toast, cereal Station. All dry croissants dry, toast took an age in the rubbish toasters provided , if it was busy and not 8 in the morning you'd be queuing for a while. Then the coffee/tea area, this was cramped only one machine for coffee so you have to wait your turn to have a Mug that's filled just over halfway and lukewarm. When we finally done we went to order the pancakes, as on the website these looked lovely but no they were store bought dry things that also required you to use the toaster, although very disappointed with this decided on breakfast. Eggs came out (poached) undercooked, beans were dry and for my taste the Sausage was not nice, moved onto the bacon which tastes like it came off a bbq along with the only type of tomato offferd , which is a poor show. Anyway went to pay told the ma n serving is the issue after eating only the toast really and all you had from him was well sorry about that! Save your money not worth it , breakfast and dinner that I've attended are really poor.

After driving around cwmbran to find a good place to eat, we ended up in here. The food we brilliant and the cutlery spotless, if your thinking of going out for a bite to eat I would highly recommend the Blinking Owl.

We had a fabulous evening celebrating my daughter’s birthday. We reserved a table which was ready for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and portion sizes were great. We particularly enjoyed the loaded chicken bites. The bar staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the pub was good. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to others.

Had a meal this evening and it was superb. Nicest meal we have had in cwmbran for a while, including takeaways. Service from Claire was fantastic. A warm hist in a busy setting. Really appreciated our first visit being so good. Will definitely return. Drinks as good as the food.

We came for Easter Sunday roast. It was lovely, the food was very tasty, good portion size, piping hot delicious meal. The staff were really friendly and excellent service. We would highly recommend a visit, the food and service was excellent.

Haven't been since before COVID and to be honest, only visited as we'd received 30% offer in the mail. We were very impressed with the food which arrived at the table piping hot and was delicious. I have to give a mention to the fact that there was just one lady on the bar and it was very busy because of the vouchers. She managed to manage the bar, took food orders, delivered food to the table and cleaned up keeping a smile on her face throughout. I only wish I'd taken her name as she was exceptional and you are lucky to have her. Enjoyed our visit so much, we will be booking for next week!

Good service, good size portions, reasonable prices. Manager/Landlady always very obliging. Shame the chicken tikka had all gone by our 6.30 booking - especially as we’d gone specifically for curry night, but we enjoyed our food anyway.

Nice pub, nice meal. Only downside was that the restaurant was not seperated off from the bar. Well spaced out so you can sit comfortably and not feel like sardines cramped into a small space. Food was nice and the wife had the Lasagne which she stated that was good.

Friendly helpful staff … Clare was extremely helpful .. I’m a carer with 16 year old lad .. he enjoyed his fish and said he would like to come back . I had the best lasagne .. young lads extremely polite and friendly ,

Nice well cooked pasty and chips. They don’t put much salt and vinegar on so ask for more if you like your salt and vinegar. Partner had fish and chips which was also perfect but again light on salt. Other than that its a great well portioned venue with ample parking if your eating in or taking away. Bonus that its close to town if your having a shopping day and want to stop for lunch

Had the platter. Very disapointed. Everything was overly greasy. Yes it's fried food but all.i could taste was the grease, and the calamari was rubbery and hardly edible. Wouldn't go again. Didn't eat even half of the food. The chcolate cake was nice though.

Last few times we have been to pages restaurant we have experienced the same issues. Order arrives incorrect. Service is just so casual. So we are left looking at our food sitting on the pass, and no one has any get up and go or any concept of customer service. The final nail in the coffin was when we paid and left and later checked the bill and were charged for desert which we never had. To be honest we have always enjoyed going to pages but it just so frustrating experiencing the same issues every time we go.

Lovely battered fish and beautifully cooked chips, even better eaten in the restaurant. Interesting menu. Friendly staff. I tend to go mid-week, early lunch time so can't really comment on atmosphere but the restaurant is very clean and well lit so that you can enjoy seeing what you are eating.

Great place to eat good quality fish and chips. Plenty of choice and a warm welcome . Easily accessible with good parking. Stairs to extra dining space upstairs. Ground floor dining space available too. A takeaway service is on offer or dine in. I really enjoyed the whitebait and the sea bass while my husband enjoyed the calamari followed by cod and chips. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon. Thank you to the kind staff x

Had a delivery this afternoon.pages said they would be here at 5.30pm and they were. Lovely deliver Driver very polite and happy. We had scampi and chips which was lovely and hot and cooked to perfection. My mum who’s 83 is very happy with you guys. She said tell them their food is excellent

Just had delivery 20min late, really poor quality place and chips clumped together in cardboard tray, cheese to go on chips a molten glob in the corner of a tub very small portion, chips clumped together and very average. £26 wasted. Had food once before much better, whoever was cooking and packing needs retraining won't buy again

Very disappointed. Had take away fish and chips. It was barely warm. The fish was chewy. Chucked it in the bin. The lady that served us looked miserable. No way will we go there ever again.

I have never been to a fish and chip shop that has a reception and a full blown bar before. Nice and clean inside with friendly staff, didn't wait long for food either. It was difficult to choose what to have because there is so much variety, I can tell you the swordfish was excellent. Anyone leaving less than 4 stars for this place is out of their mind and should get a grip on their life.

The cod was awful, batter thin and soggy yet burnt in places, the burnt taste permeated through the fish. Chips were pasable .they should have been after the customer in front of me complained they were dry and hard then we had to wait 5 minutes to cook a new batch. I was going to ask for a refund but didn't have time to argue. Staff were innatentive and all over the place. Waste of money DO NOT GO THERE.

The chips tasted like cardboard and the fish and sausage were not far off either. I was really looking forward to this but ruined my Friday night. You guys need to do better. A simple classic recipe and you’ve managed to butcher it.

Came here today for my birthday with my family had scampi and chips really enjoyed them this time,the staff are pleasant,clean restaurant,not enough staff as the couple next to us complained about waiting for 5-10 minutes to be served,we recommend the scampi and cod,happy customers and mum left a tip,happy days😊

Recently told I needed a gluten diet, so I thought I'd give page's a go as wanted fish n chips, it was delicious. it didn't taste any different. I definitely will be back or have it delivered home. Husband loved his that he could have curry with his at no extra cost.

Went there especially for gluten free food as their gluten free menu is very good but when I arrived home they hadn’t put the sausages in so rung them, they promised to send them out but an hour later we are still waiting, chips and curry are now freezing so had to cook food anyway. They were very nice and polite but service not very good.

Mate and I decided to go after a long rainy day and were disappointed as the selection seemed really small for a £20 price tag. Staff were nice. Probably wont be going back. Cheers now

All you can eat, always a challenge but I feel I happily rolled out of there. It's priced around the same as any other all you can eat, with the main brunt of expensive alcohol, but I've never been to an all you can eat where the alcohol isn't that pricey side, they gotta make the profit somewhere. Food was delicious, as always. Fresh and rotated where needed. The staff were polite and courteous, and it's always family friendly. There were always various options

Food was lovely,place was clean and staff were efficient. I think it must have been a boss (I'm so sorry ,I don't know his name ,but he is the bald man there and seemed to be in charge). Absolutely lovely man . Even put a rose ontop of the coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and seemed a lovely friendly place to eat. Food was fresh and beautifully cooked. Plenty of selection . Came here today for the first time. I couldn't get over how delicious the food was and how hot the buffet food was, usually food isnt hot at buffet resturants this was hot and delicous. Lots of different currys to try and i loved them all. Can't wait to come back.

There's always a huge variety of tasty Indian dishes in Tiffin's. There's a lot of child friendly dishes available too, so it's a great option of all the family.

Place was busy they had a birthday party in. There was plenty of staff on but most of the male staff seemed to just stay at the bar. The one female staff member was the only one that seemed to actually be bothered with the paying customers and fair play she was really good. Even though they had a full party in the trays were being taken and refilled quickly. Food was delicious and will be back again soon.

The only reason we have been here is for family (who do use regularly). It is what it is - cheap & cheerful. Staff are very friendly & accommodating, The place is clean and modern. The buffet food is a pale imitation of real restaurant dishes and even those are not my style - I much prefer either authentic recipes or fine dining versions.

We found this pub due to it recently being very highly rated on Happy Cow. Two of us are vegans and one isn't, but is a restricted eater, and we were all overwhelmed with so much choice! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and couldn't fault it. It was excellent and good value. The atmosphere was great, a proper traditional pub, and the staff were all lovely. The strawberry and cream cheesecake I had must be the best cheesecake I've ever had. Highly recommended! We will be back.

Serious good vegan pub food. Made the trip from the Midlands yesterday evening and I expected really good things from The Queen Inn and we were not disappointed at all !! The food is by far one of the most comprehensive vegan pub menus that's I've seen. High quality food at a reasonable price. The menu had everything from traditional pub food to Chinese and Indian options. ( Would share the menu but a new one drops tonight so check out the socials ) The pub itself is in a really nice setting on the edge of a residential estate with a rural feel and a decent sized carpark. All of the staff were friendly and talkative which customer engagement perspective is a massive thing for me and clearly one of the main factors which makes this place popular. I would highly recommend and will me making the 250 mile round trip soon to check out the new menu.

So glad we finally found out about this pub! Traditional pub with a traditional pub menu but all vegan! Amazing. Huge portions and it was all yummy, we had the chicken and rib combo, the ribs were especially good. Staff were very friendly and the fire was lit so it was really cosy. Awesome food, amazing service! We had the sharing plate which was massive for the two of us but we managed to finish it 😊 The steak was incredible and the meal was super filling. The staff was helpful and friendly. Also, the menu is fully vegan in case you are wondering. We'll be coming back with friends next time! 😁

Absolutely incredible food 😍😍 lovely staff that really care about the service they provide. From a vegetarian and a full meat eater we really enjoyed our experience and could not fault the flavour of each dish we received. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning.

Great vegan food, the best pub food I have had in years! Everything is vegan, even the drinks, so you don't need to worry about isinglass or lactose. They have an outside area where you can watch the ducks! They have a lovely little garden with a stream and a mini waterfall. There is a lovely, traditional pub feel, you can tell the pub is loved by owners. All the staff are really friendly, the service is top notch. The food is a good price, standard pub grub prices for great food.

Visited The Queen Inn today for Sunday lunch and had the best time. It was so amazing to be at a pub and be able to pick anything off of the menu. The guy serving us was lovely and the food was delicious. We had starters, main and dessert! Honestly, The Queen Inn should be so proud of themselves for what they have achieved! Thank you for serving delicious vegan classic pub food! We are already planning our next visit to try out the weekday menu! 🌱

Wow! We had a fantastic meal at The Queen Inn, we are NOT vegan but everything on the menu looked incredible - so we had starters and mains. Really big portions, fairly priced and so filling! The puddings looked insane but we were too full. Dogs are super spoilt by the welcoming staff and we were able to stay overnight in our camper (just book a table and let them know before etc). Such friendly staff - we will be back!!

Lovely to have an all vegan pub! Food was decent, but would have loved some healthier options, not just vegan ‘meat’ based dishes. The dessert of peach cheesecake was super delicious.

We spent the weekend in Brecon Beacon and on our way back to London decided to stop and try this VEGAN restaurant which has its fame amongst the #vegan community. We were not disappointed and all wines are # vegan 🥰

A truly fantastic restaurant. Been wanting to come here for ages and finally had the chance. It’s so nice going to a pub and not having to worry about which menu choices are vegan, because EVERYTHING is! Proper meaty pub classics, and great range of deserts too. I had the Juicy Marbles steak which was amazing. The homemade chips were lovely too. Deserts were beautiful too! Service was excellent. Dog friendly too. Very friendly team, and a lovely owner also. Will definitely be coming back. I wish them every success and a huge well done for having the guts to become a 100% vegan pub and restaurant. Thank you for a lovely meal and dining experience :)

It was amazing to have such a variety of options so made the decisions very hard! My partner and I went for starters , main and pudding which were all delicious and such big portions! The service was really good and quick. The prices were very reasonable too. Will definitely be back again to try the rest of the menu!

Generally brilliant. The pie was a bit meh as it was just a pastry topper not a pie. As for the other meals they were delicious and the service was great. My nonveggie dad said it was the best vegan meal he's ever had which was a huge win :)

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now but as we live in Bristol (and have two young children) we needed to wait until the right time. Luckily we were in the area recently and knowing this had booked a table. Oh my gosh, it did not disappoint! The service was lovely - super kind and warm with my kids, pretty quick to get our food to us too. And the food, Wow! Easily the best pub food we’ve ever had and so reasonably priced for what you get. What a gem, we’ll be back!
