Awful pizzas. It would be better putting in the oven pizza from the supermarket. Salad bar and service is nice tough.

Good food and great environment. Also good service. I love their scampi pasta. It's not too salty, not too spicy but it blends the taste perfectly. It has some onion leaves so that enhances the taste to a great extent. Also the free starter vegetables are exceptionally delicious. Recommended. I visited Rosso Lappeenranta and Rosso Imatra. Rosso Lappeenranta is better in taste, Rosso Imatra is better as a place. Good.

We experienced two of their Summer Menus. The meat, and the fish one. Appetizers and starters, as well as the desserts were all right. The main dishes, however, were something you'd expect from a gas station diner, only on a fancier plate. The waiting staff were all extremely nice, happy, and delightful. Absolutely the best part of the experience. 3/5 stars, not particularly bad, but not really great either. Without the excellent staff, it would be 2/5.

Beautiful hotel with very rich history!Some things from past of this castle and everyone is able to go look and take pictures.Very cozy atmosphere and very polite,welcoming staff members.Not a big surprise most of people I've met in Imatra like this (thank you very much) it's worth to visit it even if you just passing by and it's absolutely free.

Gave it 4/5 because it's about the only place in the centre of Imatra where you can have a proper meal (would be 3/5 otherwise). Meat and fish and pasta are good but they really can't make pizza (which is odd for an "Italian" restaurant), it ends up overdone all the time. Salmon soup may not be on the menu but it's always available and is delicious!!! Clean toilets and main room, good service.

Very central situated, nice and quick service but food products' quality varies too must depending who's in shift. Moderated priced - with green card (bonus card) extremely good offers.

Slow service. Charges 1 € per person for the water, even when ordering other drinks. (In Finland, where if there is one thing it is water...)

Very busy restaurant, nice vibe. Friendly service. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food but we were so hungry that we decided to wait opposed to finding elsewhere. Nice food, fairly expensive.

Kids menu is excellent, great value for money. Menu for adults is rather limited, but all 3 dishes we tried were exellent. Only issue I had was owners attitude on inaccuracies found in english menu. He thinks it ok to have Elk printed in menu when they are actually serving Finnish moose And have Rainbow Trout rye descriped as Salmon Caviar

Bellow average restaurant. The server was very slow and constantly forgot what we ask from brining the menu or drink to full dishes. The person at the bar (presumably the owner) very rudely rejected to hand me the drink that was next to him saying it ain't his job. The food is a hit and miss. The fish is pretty good, but the sandwich in the menu is a schnitzel, when I argued they showed me the little piece of toast hidden underneath to argument it as a sandwich, oh and yea it was totally taste less like eating air.

Privately owned Restaurant Buttenhoff is the traditional fine dining place in Imatra. Centrally located and renowned restaurant is always worth visiting. I'd recommend booking a table in advance especially during bigger happenings in town.

Risotto was very good. But salmon pasta was too salty and the appetizer bread was served with already bitter olive oil.

Worst salad ever (the oumph salad). It's nice that they have vegan options, but a little more effort should be put to them, when the prices aren' t exactly low either. We were given a table next to the buziest spot on the restaurant, not very nice with a baby. Service was friendly, though.

Avoid at all costs. Seriously. Älkää syökö täällä! The food was extremely dissatisfying. Tasted like a microwavable ready burger you get from the local grocery store. Clearly have frozen patties readymade somewhere probably offshore. The 22€ burger meal did not include a dip and the cook forgot to put any seasoning on the fries. 90€ for burgers and drinks for three. 💸 The service was something to improve on. Borderline rude and slow service. The restaurant was cramped and felt claustrophobic. Will not be entering this establishment again. 👎

Pros: Some nice pictures of Tom Brady, Larry Bird, and the Kennedy family Cons: Literally everything else. Being an American style restaurant, to you, might mean throwing a few pictures on a wall, but to customers, it means GOOD SERVICE! When a customer walks into your place of business and gives you their hard-earned money, the LEAST you can do is acknowledge their presence and communicate a little bit with them. Don’t spend your money here! You’ll wait for at LEAST 90 minutes, the food is average at best, the portions are small, and the prices are high. If you’re in this area, you’re better off going to the local Lidl, buying one of their premade sandwiches and microwaving it…that’s probably what they do anyway.

Worst food I have had in living memory. Every dish was either out of a packet or deep freezer. The pork schnitzel was factory made and wasnt even 100% real pork meat. Very over priced. Think twice before going there for a meal. After complaing we were told by the staff that there was nothing they can do as the restaurant is part of a chain and the food is bought in boxes from the company. Sorry excuse for a pub and restaurant.

Food was ok, burger was totally basic nothing impressive. But price level is too high. Lager beer (0,5 l) cost almost 10 euros!

The customer service doesn't deserve even 1 star. After asking the kitchen to check my meat sandwich (which had 1 piece of meat), I was told to contact Göteborg, if I am not happy, "the chef only cooks exactly according to instructions of management". Isn't that the worst reply to a customer? Food tasted average.

It's absolutely usual place. If you wanna find something special, this restaurant not for you. A lot of people in evening time, for order food need to wait. Prices, for this place, poquito expensive, maybe because of four stars. They provide some kind of vine choice, but not possible to find a dishes which you can eat with some vine. Maybe, for evening, better to visit other restaurant.

poor burgers, poor service i ate jalopeno beacon burger and the beef was way over cooked. burger was simple and based on canned jalopenos, overcooked and dry steak, salad, and average mayonase and cooked onions. taste was nothing to praise. price was really high compared to quality. told the waitress that was not happy and he disappeared and never showed again.it took ages to even bring water for us and no refills. we had to go to the desk to get reciept and pay. way over priced even when compared that it is a resolt hotel restaurant. i suggest you find another place or order food to the hotel. i'm not gonna visit again. though my friends ate veggie burgers and their opinions were average or happy. in general: overpriced food compared to quality, really bad service, they didn't feel sorry when feedback was given - seems like they care only about your money, not the experience

The restaurant is located near Lake Saimaa.. It serves seceral dishes. It serves fishes from the lake. Food was great, the attendants were very friendly. Prices are high. So, if you have family, then it will cost you a lot. I enjoyed the food very much.

Beautiful views of the sunset over lake Saimia. A wide selection of beers and ciders. Fantastic burgers and a variety of other food to choose also. Only open for a few months in summer. Lots of parking Prices are not cheap but no restaurant in Finland is cheap. Great on a sunny day.

Surprisingly tasty food and a nice view to the lake. Relaxed place. We had blinis, pelmenis and vendace, all very delicious portions with fresh and local ingredients. A small minus for a menu of a 100 portions, less would probably be more. ;)

Looking at the place you wouldnt guess it but they do serve surprisingly nice blinis, pelmenis and other specialties in addition to the mandatory burgers and fries. Fonzie gives two thumbs up!

Went, or should I say enjoyed, for two nights in a row with significant other. Ended up trying all of their blinis, a mixed salad portion and their awesomely smoked vendace. All of which were fantastic! Lovely staff, cool ambient environment with easy listening music, excellent food and portion sizes and a reviving view. A big extra plus for the extremely friendly staff. You guys completely knocked it out of the park!

We had few dinners here. Extremely friendly athmosphere (kids, dogs). Tried whole of different items from menu - all good! I would recommend to go with anything with smoked salmon in it! Small place so if you’re picky with beer/wine selection not for you - but ones what is available are good for casual dinner. Great location for evening sun dinner.

Nice and cosy café with a magnificent view from an upstairs terrace and delicious food at reasonable prices. A perfect place to spend evenings with friends or family, or have some fun during karaoke evenings on saturdays. Hospitable English-speaking personnel and menus in English and Russian. We were here with friends 2 times almost in a row couple of weeks ago and would surely recommend you to taste their burgers!

This restaurant was an amazing hidden gem we found while visiting Imatra. The pizza was truly amazing, proper wood fire made. We were eating outside with our dog and us and our dog were all made feel very welcome. I can only recommend!

The best pizza I‘ve ever eaten and that in Finland!! It‘s not fast food for sure and the waiting time is rather long but every second is worth it and it‘s for sure the best quality pizza you can get in Finland! Also the owner is really really nice, we will be back for sure if we visit again from Switzerland!

Nice and authentic if you are just ready for a long wait (around one hour if it's quiet). Not the best pizzas you will ever find but tasty and original in a Neapolitan way. I just wish there was more variety with the fillings including options with e.g. anchovies, capers, prawns etc. as well as a more inspiring drink list.
