Lovely place everyone. Plenty of FREE parking but can get full very quickly on nice days. Toilets, snack/coffee van, ice cream van during certain times of the year. There is a small dog agility area. Children's playground, exercise equipment & skateboard area. Plenty of places to sit & chill. A great place for a walk with or without your dog/s & cycling routes.

Beautiful place. so peaceful..well kept, litter free. Gorgeous wildlife, excellent for a nice walk/dog walk/picnic

First time taking my dad & son to apex park. Very surprised at how quite it is to walk around the paths around the lake. Quite alot of wildlife on and around the lake. I found out from someone who comes here alot that they have boat racing on the lake in the summer. There is a little dog park at the start of the path and at the other end of the path is a medium sized park for childern. 1 small park for doddlers & a big climbing frame with sand under neath for the bigger kids, zip line, skate park & outdoor gym for adults. There is an ice cream van in the car park & cafe and toilets located near the cafe. There is a bmx race course which is open Tuesday & thrusdays I believe near the cafe.
Stuart Valentyn — Google review
Large car park with clear disabled parking area. Impressed with Jubilee Wall involving the local community. Picnic benches close to car park. Pleased to see ice cream van.
Tony Ford — Google review
Walked through the park which also has access to the coastal walk. Pathways are all tarmac and plenty of seating available. Nice path around the pond with toilets available at the entrance

Lovely place to spend time and take a leisurley stroll around the lake. Dogs are allowed. Parking is free. Food and drink available. Feed the birds by the lakeside. Plenty of benches to sit at. Children's play area and a adult workout zone. Fishing is allowed on the lake. There is also access to a coastal walk path. Just need some decent weather.

Burnham-on-Sea beach is a classic seaside resort in Somerset, boasting a beautiful stretch of sand and a promenade lined with Victorian and Edwardian guest houses. Despite losing out to nearby Weston-super-Mare, the town has retained its charm. It offers the usual attractions of a seaside town such as arcades and chip shops, but also has a wilder side just a short distance from the town center.
This may not be the prettiest beach, you won't be able to swim in blue waters and yeh it's muddy in areas. But, it is great for a long dog walk past the light house. It's clean, with dog poo bins at entrances. We've had many strolls here in all weather's. My dog loves it.
Kate Bobbett — Google review
I live on the Esplanade. Great views and sunsets. The beach actually lost a lot of sand during the storms. Children love digging in it and come from all over to do just that. On a sunny day you can walk for miles towards Weston super mare and catch the bus back.
Stuart Cattermole — Google review
Visited over the bank holiday, not at all crowded, only busy around the pier (v. small with arcades and food outlets). Walked along the promenade towards the lighthouse ( small wooden structure rather than a traditional type lighthouse). Here dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. Locals leave dog bowls with water on the pavement near the entrance to this part of the beach. Wide flat expanse of fine sand, great for walking or flying a kite. Nice ice cream from the kiosk on the pier on the way back.
Julie Bertjab — Google review
Lovely little seaside destination. Nice clean beach although beware the clay like quicksand areas. Not too busy a place so nice for those that like a quiet seaside retreat. Really wanted to watch the sunset over the sea but clouds appeared - I'm sure on a clear evening it would have amazing !! Unfortunately not many arcades or shops but still, quaint 😁
Neilmeal4762 — Google review
Had a lovely walk along the beach, around the pier and around the town. There are a lot of places to eat, shops and places to stay in this area. Paid parking scattered around and free parking if you don't mind a little walk. Good views and well worth visiting. A good place for couples or families with children.
Matthew Young (Urban Tiger) — Google review
The weather wasn't really on our side, not particularly warm and a chilly sea breeze. For us, that only meant it was nice and quiet and still ideal for our little ones. Plenty of reasonably priced parking close by, We made use of the little arcade on the peer but didn't see much more to do besides eateries and a second arcade. Overall, it is a quieter (and cheaper) experience than our visit to the seafront at Weston-super-Mare but would be nice to see a little more investment to keep people going back.
Antony Warnes — Google review
Burnham seafront and beach is a great place for a relaxing walk or energetic jog. Just remember to keep away from the water's edge. This is a tidal estuary and it's very easy to get stuck in the estuary mud. Go to the seafront Bay View Cafe for a great cup of tea or coffee, bacon bab and delicious apple crumble. Pure Heaven. Public toilets are just at the end of the building.
Cornfields Dancing — Google review
There's safety restrictions on when you can go in the water although neither of my children wanted to go in (usually love body boarding)as it's brown water because of the mud. I wouldn't recommend coming to the area for the beach. We were staying at the Haven site which was great. The pier has the usual amusements which is ok but the area seems quite rundown.
Kat Peters — Google review
good seafront, lots of seating, shade and parking around. the sea tide was out but lots of people on the sand and has steps to sit on
Jessica Cant (Jessica C) — Google review
Took a stroll along the sea front at Burnham-on-Sea, plenty of pubs, takeaways and a selection of gift shops. The tide was out so some sand was available to walk on or sunbathe etc.
Colin Lawton — Google review
Large sandy beach when tide is out , there are signs up warning that there are soft mudflats at low tides , and that dogs are banned from the beach in 3 sectors , sector 1 total ban , sectors 2 and 3 may -sept ban , but no signs saying that you can walk your dog in the beach at the far north end of the espanade. Lovely open apart of the beach with plenty of space for your four legged friends to run their hearts out.
Lord Mayor of Westergate — Google review
Old fashioned seaside town and we love that. Beach is clean and very long, the tide runs very fast so going in the sea is not recommended at low tide. No dogs on the beach from May to September. We have paddle boarded from the light house end at high tide into the sunset which was stunning. Plenty of parking round and about and during the winter the esplanade road parking is free. Nice for a walk, paddle (at the right time) and plenty of places to grab a bite. Some great quirky shops, so have a wander.
Rachel Baldwin — Google review
Great beach if the tide hasn't washed the sand out to sea, well worth a visit 😀, great views across to Steart and Wales. Be careful when the tide is out there is mud flats and sinking sand...
Andy Boult — Google review
We caravaned here more than 30 years ago. Amazing change to the site. We were told we could use the club even thou we wasn't staying there..The club house is 100% perfect. Decorated to very high standard. Staff are welcoming. Helpful and friendly.

Located on a beach in Somerset, the Burnham-on-sea Low Lighthouse is a small wooden lighthouse that helps ships avoid huge tides. The lighthouse is easy to access and makes for a lovely walk along the beach.
A beautiful beach and the lighthouse is a charming feature. Great for walking the dog!!

Lovely strange looking lighthouse, lovely walk along the beach to see this, definitely worth the walk
Kate Trussler — Google review
A hidden gem. A bit of a walk along the beach but worth it when the sky cooperates well. Sadly nowhere to buy an ice cream hehe...but to be fair it is January.
Tina Beamer — Google review
This small wooden lighthouse has been voted at one of the 10 most beautiful lighthouses in the word! If you time your visit to coincide with low tide, you can walk right up to view this beautiful bit of history. There is a small layby on Trinity Rise, just off the B3140 where you can park and walk along the path through the dunes to reach the lighthouse. Alternatively you can make the walk from Burnham-On-Sea north along the beach to reach it.
Dave Mac — Google review
Well maintained and remains in use. Unusual lighthouse set close to shore on 9 wooden legs. One of 3 lighthouses in Burnham on Sea actually!… Please be aware and very careful of the mud / sinking sand around the lighthouse at low tide…in fact the whole of Burnham on Sea beach has sinking sand and deep mud along it closer to the waterline as you walk along. Many people / dogs have been stuck over the years causing the RNLI to be launched to rescue them. The tide is the second fastest in the world (fastest being Funday Bay in Canada) so comes in extremely quickly and can catch people out. Accessible from main promenade by walking down on the the beach. As you walk along there are sand dunes and wonderful views across the sea towards Wales and Brean Down. Disability access possible depending upon disability. Parking in Burnham on Sea in public car park. No toilets close by!

Fabulous beach. Like most beaches I have been to around the country, great sandy areas for kids, a few muddy patches....but very clean. Didn't see any rubbish at all on my long walk along the coast so well done to all the visitors and locals for taking rubbish home or putting it in the bins. Definitely worth the walk to the low tide lighthouse and then detour inland to the high tide lighthouse.😀
Karl Dawber — Google review
What an amazing beach, part mud part sand so wear boots. Dog walkers paradise, endless views and a perfect ‘Accidentally Wes Anderson’ lighthouse.
Alison Medd — Google review
Lovely walk along the beach to see this low lighthouse. Remember to check the tide levels. But even during high tide today around 430 the water level didn't reach the light house. So depends on the sea levels. Makes for nice photos.
Khenh Ichikawa Do — Google review
Hidden beach. But disappointed with all those fuel deposits on the sands. Wet sand mostly. Some parts even has quick sand and can go a bit deep. Need to be careful of where we are stepping. We went on a dry day and an extremely low tide day hence could go far to touch the waters. But still a long and pleasant atmosphere.

A great beach. Definitely ideal for walking across (especially as the weather treated us so well). Overall not too busy, generally very clean and with nice, smooth sand. Recommend visiting.

Amazing golf course and team. Played as a visitor for first time last month. Nick sorted out my tee time and was super helpful on phone and email to confirm. On arrival the pro shop team were extremely welcoming and pointed out where to go for everything. Finally there was an on course starter who told us everything we need to know about the course and the play on that day. The course itself was excellent. Very challenging, every hole was different providing a different test, and the all round condition was great. Especially how wet it has been. We played in mid-March and you could not really tell bar one hole where the wet areas were roped off anyway. Compared to other courses round here where they are closed or still on temps (still in April). Really enjoyed it, so much so we are coming back to play in the opens in the summer and I had applied to join the club. If you have the chance to play here I highly recommend it. Thanks again Luke

Fantastic golf course. Toughest opening holes I've ever played. Links golf in the wind at it's best. The starter even hissed the Swiss Flag on Tee No 1 for us! Amazing experience.
Andreas Bauer — Google review
Amazing golf club! EV charging (I was so keen to get my car on charge I forgot I had jeans on in the clubhouse....sorry 😬), sun cream in the toilet, friendly staff and the most amazing cooked breakfast. They've thought of everything to make your day/weekend a really pleasant experience. The golf is hard, but with a few different tee positions you can mix it up over a couple of rounds. Fantastic greens with views in every direction. I will definitely return!

I've never ever left a review for anywhere but this is the second time I've eaten here in a week and having worked in hospitality for many years I will say that the food was excellent.. being vegetarian you normally get a risotto or just a meal omitting the meat for an evening meal but although a somewhat limited choice for vegetarians it was superb, so I felt compelled to give a good review.. highly recommend the food..

Just an amazing day at Burnham and Berrow. Travelling over from Canada, spoke too Nick a couple of weeks before and can't not thank him and the club enough for helping me find someone to play with. Julie the starter was just the perfect host and the canada flag was just an amazing gesture. Look forward to returning to the wonderful place.

Wonderful links course, friendly staff and excellent pro shop. My cousin came over from South Africa so we made the short trip from Bristol. It was well worth it the hire set of clubs were excellent even included a sleeve of balls some tees and a trolley. The course was excellent despite recent heavy rain and green very true if not a little slow due to being recently hollow-cored. Can’t wait to play again. Well worth a visit if you can.

Saagar, an Indian takeaway, has garnered much praise for its delectable cuisine and reasonable prices. Customers have expressed their appreciation for the friendly and helpful staff, particularly Sultan, who ensures a smooth ordering process. The food is described as exceptional in taste and presentation, with generous portions that leave customers satisfied. Additionally, Saagar's efficient service ensures that orders are delivered promptly. The delivery personnel have been commended for their polite and friendly demeanor.
I LOVE this takeaway! The food is amazing, so tasty, the prices are fantastic and Sultan is the friendliest most helpful person I’ve ever spoken to when ordering food. Somehow they get the food out on time too, so no more hanging around in the cold. If you like Indian food you’d be mad not to come here. Don’t change guys, my taste buds would be lost without you! 😋😆

My husband and I tried a takeaway from here tonight and it was fantastic. We had the set meal for 2. The food options were large in proportion, flavoursome, nicely presented and still hot by the time we walked home a short distance away. Will definitely be using Saagar again.

Ordered from Saagar tonight, Absolutely lovely hot food, full of flavour as always! Winner of The best takeaway in the south west. A big congratulations to Sultan the main man, always great service from all of the staff 😊

Had a high expectations and they were fulfilled, mostly. Details to follow. The chicken tikka was exceptional, the best I’ve had in years. The curries were delicious also. All had depth of flavour with good quality chicken/lamb. The only thing that didn’t meet expectations were the vegetable side dishes, which were very overcooked resulting a mushy gloop. The taste was fine but there was no bite whatsoever and rather like baby food. First visit so not sure if that’s nornmal or a one off.

This is a long overdue review. Saagar is the best Indian takeaway around! We moved 20 minutes down the road and we tried all of the Indian takeaways in the town, but absolutely nothing compares. So we still come back to our fave 6 years on! 😍 Lovely staff and amazing food! Thank you ☺️

Disappointed once again. Each time we use this takeaway there is an issue. They just don’t listen to what you order. Three curries ordered tonight requested to be chicken tikka and received only 1. This was the last chance. The Chandni is only 300yds further and you get what you ask for.

Just had a takeaway, wow, absolutely fantastic, so obviously freshly cooked to order. I’m a continental trucker so eaten all over Europe and beyond, couldn’t be bothered to cook tonight, so popped in. I can honestly say it’s definitely in the top ten best Indian I’ve ever had. Even saved a bit in the fridge so the wife can try some when I’m home tomorrow night!! Hope I pass here again sometime. 😊👍👍

We're moving to Cornwall on Friday so decided to have our last takeaway tonight. Food was excellent as always and great service from all of the staff. This is not the first time we have ordered, however after previous small hiccup we have decided to give it a go again. We went for a mix menu this time and everything was absolutely fantastic. Food arrived hot and tasted delicious. We have really enjoyed each dish full of spices and aromas. Definitely will be back :)

Additionally, every hot drink comes with a delightful biscuit as a lovely touch.
We came across this wonderful cafe by chance today. Can’t give it more than 5* but would if I could. The panini was delicious and the home made date and oat slice was sublime. Our absolute favourite cafe in Burnham! Been coming for years and never been disappointed. The food is fresh and tasty with lots of choice. The cakes are amazing (especially the Victoria). Always a yummy biscuit with your hot drink which is a lovely touch

Very friendly staff, very nice premises and worth a visit, possibly better for a tea and cake rather than a meal. They only take cash at the time of our visit (Oct 21) which makes life difficult these days. We went on a Sunday and had 2 roast dinners and 2 kids meals with 3 drinks, this came to about £34. The food was pretty good but the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding tasted like Aunt Bessie's or supermarket pre cooked. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The kids enjoyed theirs and didn't complain at all. The cakes at the counter looked amazing but we didn't indulge this time. Unfortunately there was some mistake and we were over charged, it was quickly corrected and no harm done. Definitely worth doing a mental check on their maths as the order had been recorded incorrectly and someone else's cakes had been put on our order. Worth a visit.

The establishment offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas for customers to enjoy their meals. The café prides itself on its delicious fries and tea, which are served by a diligent group of friendly young men. There are a fair few cafes in Burnham, and of the four that I've tried, this one is without a doubt the worst. Even on a not so busy day, the service was slow and the food, when it arrived was substandard, compared with all the other places nearby. I had fish and chips. The fish was frozen, oven cooked similar to what you can buy in the supermarket, as were the chips. When it arrived, the fish was hot, having clearly just come out of the oven, but the chips were cold and undercooked, having come out of the oven too soon, and some time previously. Looking around, the staff appear to be mostly very young, low paid - possibly school or college students. Might keep the wages low and the profits high, but unless this place starts to focus on the food too, then it will continually lose out to the competition in my opinion.

My 5yr old and I popped in for lunch. I ordered the fish and chips, my son the kids cheeseburger and chips. Now my son will eat absolutely anything, but after a few mouthfuls, he asked to swap and when I took one bite of the burger I understood why. Frankly, it was awful and swimming in grease. The fish however, was fine, thankfully otherwise we both would have left hungry. The food is not cheap, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect more. And to charge 10p for a small packet of cheap ketchup? Nah. Not for us, won't be back.

Not too expensive to eat in, plenty of choice but not flexible if you want to swap options on a meal, such as swapping friend bread for mushrooms on a breakfast. They serve both options, but wouldn't make adjustments. Not a deal-breaker, but also not an onerous request. Good place to get a drink or ice-cream. Not a restaurant environment, certainly more of a family cafe which is what it is billed as. There's outdoor seating when the weather is better, but beware the seagulls!

Cracking little ice cream parlour plus cafe on the beach side of the road. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice chips and tea, served by a hard-working bunch of pleasant young lads.

Bacon arrived looking like it had been slid across the pan for a few seconds, and an even shorter time for the fried bread. Mushrooms were also undercooked. No Napkins/serviettes. I can't imagine this place surviving as a business for very long, if it didn't have the tourism trade of people not knowing better. Look elsewhere unless you want to spend over the odds for low quality food.

5 of us called for lunch (£56) bill. Had 3 cups of tea with our food. Paid for. Food delivery was fast and food was hot however….. they poured our tea when we ordered so by the time food came the tea wasn’t the warmest. My husband went up to get a second cup of tea (£1.50), staff poured it and he went to pay - only to be told it’s a minimum £4 spend so couldn’t get his cup of tea without spending £4. A bit ridiculous when we had spent £56 on lunch. Left us with a very bad view of the place

Nice café on the sea front, depending on where you sit there is good views across the bay. The food is delicious, and good value for money. Can't fault the service either.

Breakfast was okay, but not worth the money. No kids menu for breakfast, meaning it was costly for toast, bacon and sausages each. The staff didn't ask if our food was okay, just chatting about other members of staff behind the counter. Which isn't nice to see! Wouldn't recommend 😔

During a recent holiday in Burnham on Sea, I came across Winnie's Bakery and was drawn to their enticing display of bread and cakes. The Garlic & Rosemary tear n share loaf that I purchased was absolutely delicious, especially when paired with a pasta dish. The bakery offers a wide range of unique bread and cake combinations that are not found elsewhere. Unfortunately, the distance makes it difficult to order these delectable treats for home delivery.
Just love this little bakery. Lardy cakes and bread pudding amazing. Always stop in here and buy something. Pasties are also very nice. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

usually love this little place. i occasionlly travel down to burnham on sea, and love having a roll made up.. i asked for one and the lady behind the counter (she had short grey hair) she huffed rolled her eyes and said to me she doesn’t have time to stop and do that today! how rude seriously pissed me off with her attitude. don’t like dealing with customers don’t be in a customer service role!!

We have been in Burnham on Sea for a holiday recently & walked past several times during our stay & always stopped to look at produce on display in the window. On our final day we decided to purchase a Garlic & Rosemary tear n share loaf. It was delicious & we enjoyed very much with a pasta dish. There were so many unusual combinations of bread & cakes in store. There is nothing like this where we live & having looked at website we're a bit sad that we can't order to our home....it is a bit away. Can honestly recommend anyone pay a visit & purchase bread, cakes etc here just wished we'd purchased an apple & cinnamon cake that would've been nice too. Staff were friendly too.

Fantastic little bakery in Burnham. I think the main bakery is in Weston Super-Mare, and this smaller one in Burnham is absolutely up to the same standard and quality. Amazing pasties, pastry perfect, and proper old school pasty filling. Perfect with brown sauce and pepper. Also a great selection of freshly baked cakes, try the lemon drizzle, you'll thank me later.

Lovely bakery in the high street that sell a good variety of delicious cakes & pastries that are very reasonably priced, I ordered a large pasty & asked if I could have one of the lighter cooked ones at the front from their window display as I don't like darker pastry, the friendly young lady was very happy to oblige & shared the same tastes as me, then after getting back to the caravan I warmed up this pasty & it was delicious, I can't wait to return when I am next in the area.

Excellent small bakery in the high street. Multiple offers such as meal deals and two for one type of options. Highly recommend the scone jam and cream plates with either fruit or plain scones. Packs of bread rolls ideal for bbq’s and lunch boxes. No parking outside however limited on street parking opposite. Limited numbers allowed in shop. Step into shop however staff extremely helpful and I am sure would assist anyone struggling with access. I noticed that coffee / hot drinks to take away were also available along with a hot selection of various pasties and sausage rolls
