Not a great experience. Style over substance in more ways than one. Trying to be what they are not.. Waited 25minutes for someone to actually take the order while restaurant wasn't even busy, (no menu on the table, just go on the website thingy that makes it feel like cheap take away place - no full menu on it either - as we were told by the waiter) Waited another 20minutes for wine to arrive, and another 10 for plate of cold meats and cheese. Food was tasty but the seafood dish is just bland, cold, served on its own.. Lil olive oil and lemon juice would do the trick. My husband ordered veal which came with the string that had been cooked in (this should've been removed prior to serving!!) They tried to charge us for the bread that never actually arrived. We had to ask twice for a bill and only when we started walking out, someone took a notice of us. Very loud and noisy too so not a nice relaxing atmosphere... Poor show. Staff are nice and polite just not very well trained and efficient. Shame that. Really looked forward to a nice meal. Left disappointed and if it wasn't for my husband I would've walked out after 25min of being simply ignored.

What a gem!! Absolutely delicious dinner companied with great hospitality! You can easily taste the quality of the ingredients and good cooking. The 5-course antipasti tasting is so worth it and fun!! Superb price quality ratio, highly recommend!!

We came to have Sunday lunch and did not stay at the hotel. First and most important, the food is excellent. The Chef has a deep knowledge of how to create balanced and delicious food. Everything we ate was of high quality, the ingredients were top of the line. We have 2 recommendations for the service experience which needs improvement. First, print menus for each table and provide them to customers as QR codes are a clunky experience and dont always result in the menu rendering well on different mobile phones. We asked for a printed menu and there was a couple of menus in the entire restaurant, which is odd. Second, assign staff to a set of tables as the all servers were serving all tables and there were often times when a request was forgotten by one person and we had to ask another server multiple times for what we needed. Sunday was quite busy and there was not enough organization on the floor of the restaurant to manage the load. Having said that the servers work very hard and are dedicated to their customers, so to the Chef, please fix these two service items because it is the difference between being Good and being Great...and your food is Great.

No joke, the best food we ate so far across Italy. Amazing service, the dishes are presented excellently, are very very tasty, and the dessert with dark chocolat and pistachio ice cream was simply orgaaaaasmic. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star.

Delicious restaurant at very reasonable price. All plates weere delicious and very well presented. Deserts were also good. Service a bit slow but at that price this is more than great.

This review is for the restaurant. Locals recommend this place for our 30th anniversary and we weren't disappointed! The food was Michellin worthy! And the presentation was spot on. The location was beautiful and the prices amazingly affordable. Better yet the chef and waitor were very kind and helpful. If this same restaurant was dropped into the middle of Vancouver, Canada they would be able to charge 3x the price for all that they offer.

The restaurant downstairs is to die for!!! There are few places in the entire continent as good as this! The ingredients! The freshness! Dishes are bold but not pretentious. Fava like this? Only in Santorini, and that is if you know where to look. Same for the veggies, the bruschetta,... EVERYTHING is amazing! Apulian wine... Is not for everyone though. Try it if you like Zinfandel!

This restaurant is a must if you are staying in the region! Best restaurant I visited in Puglia. Highly recommend for a fine dining experience at very reasonable prices.

Highly recommended for Italian classics in elevated form. Nice outdoor seating space. The staff is very polite and accommodating. Ever dish was delicious. Light flavors, ideal for warm weather. Rather for a slow experience than quick bite. Very nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Also possible to get some vegan variations.

We’ve had a very enjoyable evening at Osteria del Caroseno. The Caroseno family was very welcoming. The food was amazing; original combinations, good portions, nice wines. Great service. If we’re ever in Puglia again we will be sure to visit again! And make a new picture ;)

Everything was very delicious! We visited the grotte Castellane first and then went to have a meal in this restaurant at 2-3 min walk from the cave . Really recommend !

Amazing food

Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The pizzas are delicious and very reasonably priced. My sister had a steak and the meat was cooked perfectly. Very friendly staff. We went twice in our week's stay in the area as we thoroughly enjoyed our first meal. Grazie mille!

Amazing Italian food, very good pizza's and low priced. The restaurant it self looks nice with a very big terrace and it is clean. 4 stars because there are only 3 parking lots of the restaurant. But there are other parkings near by.

Excellent restaurant, the pizza was fantastic, the pasta was great, Also had the Florentine steak which was excellent and great value. Please stop trying to decide where to go for dinner and just go here!

Terrible experience! I ordered the cannelloni gluten free and was served a microwaved dish with the plastic still on. We called the waiter and he lied and said it was done in the restaurant and only when insisted they confirmed. We sent the food back and they at the end even tried to make us pay for it. Definately wouldn't recommend!!

We sat at a table for 15 minutes without any waiter passing by. Then someone asked us if anyone took our order. Another 5 minutes passed and still no one bothered to come to our table so we left.

Probably the worst place we have eaten in Puglia during our holidays. We had to wait until our order was taken and then we had to wait another 35 minutes until our lunch was served. We hadn't anything complicated: just three sandwiches and a salad. They also didn't manage to bring all four dishes at the same time. It was a gap of 15 minutes. The food was okay. That's why they deserve one star.

We ordered gluten free lasagna! The waiter didnt told us that this is frozen premade awful thing!!! This is a restaurant? Shame of you!!

We stopped at Cesarino 36 for lunch, based on the nice reviews, but everything there (food, wine, service) exceeded our expectations. Not only the typical puglian orecchiette were delicious, they were perfectly accompanied by a local Susumaniello red wine, suggested by Pietro. Desert was also amazingly tasty and fresh and the homemade myrtle liqueur is sooo good! The atmosphere was great, even on a Thursday at noon, nice decor, good music, impeccable service. Highly recommended! Grazie, Pietro!

Fabulous, relaxed restaurant run by a husband & wife team (he is charming and front of house, she is a talented chef and pastry chef). Great combinations of flavours with distinctive ingredients rooted in the Puglia region, including some complex and innovative dishes (a courgette, courgette flower and prawn lasagne was sensational) and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended for lunch.

Very charming restaurant run by a nice couple, with the husband providing a great service and advice, and his wife cooking delicious meals! I'd highly recommend this lovely place; it has a very cosy "home" feeling so you'll definitely enjoy your time their!

We loved this family run restaurant. The husband wife team make this a must. He was such a welcoming host and she made amazing food. He was great with the children and we ate and drank very well. The lemon In fused cheese on the meat and cheese platter was extraordinary as was the orecchiette pasta in a tomato and Mushroom sauce. Highly recommend

This cozy restaurant left the best impression on us! Food was delicious, seasonal, fresh and very satisfying. The antipasti was very generous and creative compared to what you'd usually find in a typical pugliese restaurant, I loved that there was a subtle creative element to almost all of the dishes. We were also recommended a great wine by the owner who was very attentive, polite and helpful. We were really made to feel welcome in a genuine way from the second we walked in. The details and design of the restaurant were something to take note of and really added a personal and homely touch. Well deserved 5 stars! We look forward to coming back! :)

Amazing find! Everything was outstanding, from service to food. Family run restaurant, cosy and beautiful food. Probably our best food so far in Puglia and we were on day 6. ☺️☺️☺️ Keep going guys! We’ll be back one day ❤️

We were lucky enough to eat at Cesarino 36 today for lunch. We are staying for 12 days in Castellano Grotte and have just 4 days left. I will be returning each day I can secure a table. The food was incredible, the service impeccable and the restaurant itself oozed a home kitchen meets vogue living. If you are staying remotely close to Castellano Grotte, MAKE THE TRIP! It is worth whatever drive you need to make to taste the incredible Orecchiette Margarita with smoked buratta! Do yourself a huge favour and visit Cesarino 36!
