Stopped in for dinner on a Sunday without reservations and we were so pleased with our experience! We each had a set menu at and were really surprised by the level of service, definitely merits the 5 stars and then some. Great food, service, and value, we are very much looking forward to going back 🙏

Excellent and very helpful staff. The chef was very generous with the modifications he could make for someone who can’t eat dairy, gluten or red meat and I was so grateful! The duck was exquisite. I don’t really remember my boyfriend’s meal as I was melting into the duck dish! But the charcuterie board was vast and I know he really enjoyed his main course. The dessert menu looked amazing and I wish I could’ve eaten all of them. Very grateful to them for accommodating my dietary restrictions.

In my opinion one of the best restaurant in la Clusaz. I went there with my family and we had a good time

Very good service and gourmet cuisine, the food was nicely presented. They also offered us some Amuse-bouche.

Just had one of the best meals of my life! Starting with deliciously flavored zucchini fritters, then a Greek salad, not quite like an authentic Greek salad, but better! Especially the creamier feta cheese with less of a bite. On to the pork chop. I meant to order the shredded pork with sunny vegetables but I was served a large pork chop with fries and no vegetables. When I questioned the waiter he showed me the menu and I realized I had ordered the wrong thing. I told him, no problem, it was my mistake, I would eat what I had. He said they would gladly redo it, but I didn’t want to wait that long. I took a bite of the pork chop and wow was I glad I had made a mistake! Soo delicious. Whoever is creating the sauces, herbs, and spices they work with knows what they’re doing. Then I ordered a side of vegetables because I really preferred those over fries. They arrived without a long wait, and again, wow! So delicious. Perfectly crisp tender with a sauce of butter and what else I don’t know. My wine was excellent as well so I had a second glass. We declined dessert because we were already full. Our waiter brought the check and pointed out that he had comped my main dish because “it was my mistake.” “ No, no, it was my mistake!” I was not looking for that! But he insisted. All the food was presented in an earthy, creative way and the music selection was just right—upbeat yet relaxing. Thank you Tao and Bistro Les Two Mules for a wonderful evening.

Amazing presentation and taste for every dish. I was not expecting to find such a good restaurant in La Clusaz. I would have given 6 stars if I could.

A relatively Modern Bistro, lacks the 'Ski Lodge' charm. You feel the effort was more on the Presentation than on the Taste, but the food is still good. Make sure you book by the window so you enjoy the views...

Fully priced but delivers a memorable night, good food and a good wine list. Service is rushed but polite. Worth a visit but, it’s aiming at top end yet we had a couple n xx to us with a crying baby. So not cool when you’re out for a relaxing evening. The tables are close and there is no avoiding a noisey baby when you’re trying to relax and enjoy a good atmosphere. There were no other free tables (good for the restaurant but bad for us) so we had to leave or accept a poor decision by both the parents of the child and the restaurant manager which negatively impacted our evening. We drew this to the attention of the manager / maitre d’ but he could not have cared less. Shame on him. You’re either top end or you’re family friendly. You cannot charge the prices you do and expect repeat custom under those circumstances.

Restaurant La Scierie, located at 331 route du Col-des-Aravis in La Clusaz, offers a delightful culinary experience inspired by the traditions of Savoy. The cozy ambiance of this charming eatery, adorned with weathered-wood furnishings, complements the seasonal and delectable dishes that are presented to guests. This up-market establishment stands out from other Alpine restaurants in the area like Chez Papaz and La Ferme.
We had a nice dinner here. We started with two cocktails, which were quite original so I'd recommend taking a look into the cocktail menu. As amuse bouche, we had cauliflower mousse, which was tasty. For starter we had pork belly confit to share, which was very tasty, but the portion is more fit for one person than for sharing. For mains we both had the pan fried steak tartare, which also was tasty. Finally, we had cacao tart with tonka bean ice crea, which also was delicious. Nice and attentive service, good and calm atmosphere- overall it was a very pleasant evening.

I’m very happy with their professional service, booked on their website to celebrate my husband’s b-day (was a bit worried of my French) and requested a little surprise to come with. It went very well; we both enjoy the warm celebration, its cuisine & wine; no doubt of the beef quality, the chef indeed mastered the flavor notes of its ingredients, a delightful discover for me.

Our favorite restaurant in La Clusaz. Great plates with real work inside, research and innovation. Products are fresh, quality and well prepared. The bar on the side allows you to extend the evening. A must see.

They offer staple dishes like escalope and pizzas for kids, while their extensive menu of crepes or ice cream caters to dessert lovers. The waitstaff at LOuta is accommodating and patient, even with customers attempting to speak French.
The food was great. We took the reblochon and the fondieu. Misses the raclette, but it looked great. My friend ask for the Burger and it was also tasty. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The environment is familiar and old themed with a great food smell. Worth the visit.

Two years ago, this was our favorite restaurant in LA Clu, unfortunately now it has new management and has suffered. They just want to rush is and couldn't be bothered. There are so many good places here now, best to avoid sadly.

We visited this restaurant on Tuesday 31st Jan. The waitresses were lovely and put up with my dreadful attempts at French. My husband had veal and i had meli melo gambas et saulmon which was the best meal i have ever eaten anywhere. That sound so dramatic but its true. Wonderful place we will be back next year . Tres bon!

Welcome to Les Confins, without a doubt the finest location in La Clusaz to appreciate the majestic Aravis mountain range all year round. Managed by the same family for over 25 years, Restaurant La Chenillette ensures an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant offers a south-facing terrace that provides awe-inspiring vistas of the mountains during lunchtime, while evenings offer a cozy Savoyard ambiance characterized by a warm fireplace.
We had our best lunch ever! The service so friendly, the food is delicious we’ll design. The local whines were very good. Also the fondu and the steaks. The desserts were so good!

Nice service but so so food. Took fondue and they managed to mess it up, uneatable, asked the waiter for help and got a formal lesson on how not do cook a fondue. Anyhow, nice location, nice smiling service, a glitch which might happen. At your own risk! Nice after dinner rum though!

No greeting on arrival and after asking for a table very unfriendly and arrogant response. No need to give them any money. Better to have a drink/eat at the hotel across the street. You will be welcome nicely.

Very good restaurant, we went there with the kids, very friendly staff, local food, you need to test all starters most of of them have cheese, i guess we took all of them and shared together, large choice of local spirit from La Distillerie des Aravis, La Sapinette is definitely something worth trying 😊

La Fruitière is a rustic eatery that offers refined, mountain-inspired dishes like raclette and trout. Their menu features traditional French cuisine with a focus on quality ingredients. The restaurant also boasts a charming outdoor seating area. Another noteworthy option is La Cascade, which offers fantastic mountain cuisine complemented by exquisite desserts and an extensive selection of local and other wines. For cheese lovers, the Boites Aravis and Tartiflette made with Reblochon are highly recommended.
Best raclette around - a show stopper of a restaurant. Cafe Gourmand exceptional, too. Fast friendly service - what's there not to love??
AHMED BADAWI — Google review
UPDATED: The owner gave a hilarious response to this review, which bizarrely confirms the points in my review. I have pasted at the bottom of my review. (in English). If this is the way the owner behaves, then I’m not surprised the staff can be so surly. Perhaps the good reviews are from the nights the owner hasn’t been into the restaurant! ————— I would not recommend this place to anyone. Firstly the staff were rude from the minute we arrived. Greeted us with disdain and gestured vaguely to a table we could have. We had made an advance reservation, which stated we had 3hrs before 2nd sitting. We also had noted in the reservation that one person couldn’t eat gluten or dairy. Just under two hours into our booking, our waiter came over and said “you have to go - there’s another table that wants this table” and stared at us as if expecting us to walk out immediately. I was horrified. When I asked the waiter what could be served without gluten or dairy he scowled at me and shook his head and said “nothing.” I said “not the duck? Or the fish?” He rolled his eyes and shook his head, then left. He came back and pointed to a couple of things on the menu and said I could have them, but was so rude about it. Please note, this was not a language issue. He was fluent in English. My boyfriend and I did enjoy the seabass tartare - it was very fresh and delicate, and my boyfriend said the reblochon pasta was very tasty, hence the two star review instead of one! His main was “meh”. I had the duck, which I believe had been hung too long as it was very strong and gamey in flavour. It was also overcooked, so was like eating leather. Also… The menus are old and sticky and covered in plastic. They look like they’re from an old, decrepit diner. Not the fine dining restaurant they claim to be. Oh and their Vin Chaud… it’s literally just wine heated up - probably in the microwave. No spice or additional flavour. I didn’t think it was possible to go wrong with vin chaud, but this place proved me wrong! There are so many other beautiful restaurants in exactly the same price range in La Clusaz, with the most wonderful staff. Don’t waste your time going to this one. Honestly, if the staff hadn’t been so unpleasant I wouldn’t have bothered with a review. Perhaps they were having a bad night, because there’s so many other good reviews, but still, it was pretty unpleasant. It’s not nice to go to a restaurant and feel like you’re not wanted from the minute you arrive. And chewy overcooked, over hung duck is no one’s cup of tea! Side note: every other place we visited in La Clusaz, over our week there, whether it be a restaurant, cafe, shop or hotel, got a 5 star review from us, so that gives some indication as to how unpleasant our experience here was. ———— Owners response: And there it is….I thought I had sorted out this clientele who thinks they know everything about catering but who in fact know nothing at all!!! Well no we welcomed again this winter…….the proof is in your comment without any basis or truth!! Know dear Madam that you are here in my home and when you pass through the doors of my restaurant you accept my rules. If this is not the case, I will be happy to direct you to many gourmet restaurants that we are not. For everyone's sake, take the time to choose your restaurant according to your desires and please don't choose the wrong establishment. We are a bistro and not a gastro and you have the service, quality and price to match. One last little thing, I advise you to work on your palate and come back to see us when it knows how to recognize good cuisine Aline Dubois
