If you want to know how the cabrales cheese is made and see the cave, you should visit here. At the end of visit, they offer cheese-tasting.
Salih ?ZPOLAT — Google review
I visited the CUEVA with my friend and we agreed that it is not worthy. We paid 4,50€ to see a few pictures and a quick explanation about the cheese cooking process. At the end they played a 10 min video to keep you bussy and use more time. We don't recommend the experience.
Maria Calzada — Google review
Interesting if you like Cabrales cheese and want to learn more about the history of the region. The entry ticket is quite cheap (5 euros) and includes a guided tour, a short film, and a cheese tasting with a bit of local sidra (alcoholic apple cider). They only accept cash. There are no English tours but they offer people who don’t speak Spanish a tablet with text to follow along.
Eva Gladek — Google review
Great little tour. English speakers get a tablet to follow the presentation on.
Mila Tutor — Google review
Interesting tour of how they make queso de Cabrales. You learn about what makes the area unique to produce this cheese, the people and the animals. It ends with a small taste of cheese and sidra.
Robert Moore — Google review
Not only is the Cabrales Cheese Cave an interesting experience, it's setting is stunning. The cave is set next to a beautiful river. As you stand on the bridge looking down, the water is crystal clear, and in deep pools in places, while the rest of the river rushes on rumbling over the rocks. You have to book a tour time, and we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings before beginning the tour. We were there at a quiet time of year so had the cave to ourselves. The tour actually follows the cave, and although the tour is given in Spanish, you are given your own tablet so you can listen in English too. The guide shows you the full process of how the cheese is made from beginning to end, whilst touring through the small cave system. You can see all the old implements that were originally used to make the cheese, and all details and processes are explained step by step. The tour ends with a cheese tasting and cider tasting, and it was a very interesting and tasty experience!
Charlotte Hudson — Google review
The cave is very cool and you can try the cheese, spectacular
Alberto Quintero — Google review
Very interesting. The tour is in Spanish, but we were given tablets that provide the English explanation.
Jean Bellinger — Google review
Very informative and enthusiastic guide, totally recommend. It's quite a unique opportunity to see the cheese maturing in the caves like this, the cheese and cider degustation is included in the ticket price.
Alicja Wesołowska — Google review
We arrived and bought the tickets. We had to wait around 30min for the next tour. We went back to the car in the meantime for the jackets , as in the cave is a bit chilli and make some time. The tour was very good, in Spanish. At the end we could taste some Cabrales cheese with a sidra. Recommended!
Mar Ruiz — Google review
I found the tour a bit rushed. By the time I had read the tablet translation the lighting on the displays had gone out. The film and sampling at the end were very good.

There were clouds and we could not see Naranjo de Bulnes. There are only a few parking places near the Mirador. The road is very narrow and steep. However, our Renault Clio made it. Luckilly, not many cars go there. There are two bars in which you can drink something.

(Translated by Google) Place of visit: Church of Santa María de Llas Date of visit: 06/10/2018 It is a shame that this church can only be visited when there is mass, since it is located in a privileged environment, surrounded by nature. In any case, if only to see the exterior, very well preserved, and the gardens, the river, the access road, etc. It is worth a short walk from the town. You will only find an indication at the crossroads in the center of the town, taking the road that goes to Alles (AS-345), and at the exit of the town, about 400 meters from said crossroads, there is a detour through a small bridge that crosses the Arroyo Ribeles and as soon as you pass it you see the Church. Place of visit: Church of Santa María de Llas Date of visit: 07/31/2019 We had already visited this Church a couple of months ago, but we could only do so from the outside since it was closed. It seems to be only open when there is mass, which I think is Sunday. Walking through the area again, we met the parish priest (D. Pedro) who was arranging the garden that surrounds the Church, and who very kindly allowed us to see the interior. We were really impressed by how well preserved it was, plus it is very pretty, with the beautifully painted vaulted ceiling and lighting that highlights the rest of the furniture even more. We spent a while having a long conversation about current political issues, and the truth is that it was very gratifying to hear his opinion on certain "very hot" topics. If you can, don't miss the visit on the day there is mass so you can appreciate it in its total splendor.

Sidrería Calluenga is a hidden gem in Las Arenas, offering tasty food and a charming atmosphere. It took me some time to discover the restaurant's location, tucked away in a pedestrian precinct off the main road. While not extraordinary, their menu includes reasonably priced dishes that are well-prepared and satisfying. Additionally, they have a selection of craft beers to complement your meal. The cider pouring here is particularly impressive, showcasing an authentic touch that adds to the overall experience.
Classic Asturian food, served by very friendly staff in a typical little restaurant. Very (very!) tasty solomillo (beef fillet), but also meatballs, cachopo, fabada and ribs are highly recommendable. We went twice and both evenings were 5 stars. Reservation recommended.

Tricky to find but worth it. So, we didn't realise for a whole week of going to Las Arenas that there was a pedestrian precinct off the main road! It contained this restaurant which, while not amazing, was open and served decent food at sensible prices. They do a few craft beers as well.

On 19th April 2023, I had the opportunity to dine at Santelmo Restaurante Cafetería, an Asturian restaurant situated in a village. The lunch menu was priced at 13 euros and offered a comprehensive selection of dishes. The ambiance of the place was clean and spacious with tasteful decor reminiscent of a Brasserie-style setting. The staff were extremely hospitable, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable.
Very tasty day menu, with good wine, menu in English! It is a touristic place but really tasty and regional food for a fair price.

So disappointing! I lost my happiness in this restaurant! Sad experience!!! Inside restaurant was crazily hot! So we asked them for an outdoor sit and that's why waited almost half an hour for a sit become empty. Almost 10 min after us, a couple came to restaurant door, checked the menu with hesitation, and the lady went inside and talked, then the gentleman after few minutes checking menu went inside. It was obvious that they just were passing and decided to eat there. We waited and suddenly 2 tables became empty, one inside and another outside. When we wanted to sit outside, the lady first said sure but then after 2 min talking with other waiter came and said the table already occupied!!!! And asked us to go inside!!! It was so so upsetting. To cover their behaviour, she told us that their all outdoor tables are reserved!!!! Really ???!! If so why when 30 min before we asked for out door table, you accepted and asked us to wait until one become empty?! So disappointing! When she saw my face, she tried to change our table to a table under air conditioner! The problem was that also this table was not at all having better condition!! Even if it had, the first disrespectful behaviour to people could not be fixed by these type of acts! Any way, I asked cow fillet. It was so chewy and salty. The fried potatoes also was greecy and very salty. So, if this restaurant people were planned to make sure I will not go there again, they were totally successful!!

Really enjoyed the dinner we had here, for me was much better than the 4.1 review that is listed when we went! Very good value meal (mains around 12-15 euro), super tasty and filling after a day trekking. The service was very friendly and they have an English menu! Had the cachopo which I can definitely recommend We enjoyed the meal so much that we went again for breakfast the next day, again good value menu with light breakfast and coffee for 3-5 euro!

We visited this restaurant on 19th April 2023, on our last day in the village. 13 euros for an all inclusive lunch menu, minimal choice, just right. The place is super clean, the lunch area is spacious, very luminous and the decor simple and smart, Brasserie style. The staff was very welcoming and everything was delicious, the beef excellent with the cheesy Cabralese sauce and the bottle of red house wine. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Food was delicious! Fabada is the best I ever tried while being in Spain, staff is friendly, even though they know very little English. Menu del dia is at reasonable price. View is magnificent.

The food is not the best. We had the mushrooms with cabrales sauce and the pulpo (octopus). The mushrooms were good quality but the sauce is heavy. The pulpo is not tasty at all. Maybe other dishes are better. The staff was ok, the environment ok also.
Filipa Brito — Google review
Lovely outdoor terrace and efficient service but that’s about it. Our food was dreadful. Smoked salmon salad was tasteless and the salmon was of the cheapest quality, with bits of skin and lots of brown flesh still on it. The tuna steaks were also poor quality, cheap cuts with lots of bones (surprising for tuna) and well over cooked. This does not justify the high prices. We went there based on the good reviews but I recommend avoiding at all costs. There are other really good places to eat in Arenas without having to spend so much.

We went here two nights out of a 4-night stay in Arena de Cabrales. Excellent food, especially the cachopo. We also had ensalada especial and the typical cider. Las patatas con salsa cabrales were also nice. Very nice waitress and quick service. I would recommend eating here even though it normally doesn't look so busy. Good food and quick service with mountain views outside.

Disgusting food, whole table couldnt finish their plates, felt nauseous afterwards. Red wine from the fridge. French fries were soft and only half fried. Steak ordered medium arrived bloody rare. We booked a table a day in advance and we were very excited to have a cachopo here. Had a very nice salad, but the expensive cachopo was disappointing.. Overcooked meat and the cheese was too strong taste wise, overpowering all the other ingredients. For 22 euros we expected more. Good local bar restaurant. This area is predominantly Spanish locals do don't expect everyone to speak English. This is a bit "this is a local shop for local people" but as long as you try to speak Spanish they are accommodating and the beer and coffee are good and reasonable. Didn't try food so can't comment.
