Restaurant
The Turkish Kitchen Hatfield & Jimmy's Brunch is a remarkable eatery that offers an amazing breakfast/brunch experience. It was discovered serendipitously and will definitely be revisited in the future. The morning meal provided here is exceptionally fresh and prepared to an excellent level of quality. All the dishes are flavorful and delicious, complemented by their fantastic selection of smoothies. This place deserves the highest praise possible!
Really nice food and very good service. The place has very nice seating. There’s an area to have brunch, but it’s a bit separate from the rest. I tried the lamb casserole and it was delicious. I also like that they bring you a spicy sauce separately, because I don’t like my food very spicy. The pita bread that came with the hummus was delicious. It was warm and it had a somewhat sweet smell. The only problem is that we got almost full with the pitta bread and the hummus and we couldn’t finish our mains. But they gave us a takeaway box, so no food was wasted 😃

We have been here 5 times and have ordered takeaway several times. Never disappointed and extremely tasty food. The meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are all equally wonderful and beautifully presented. The bread supplied when you sit down or order takeaway is also sublime coming with both a garlic mayonnaise and spicy but not head blowing sauce. The serving staff know their dishes and are very welcoming without being overbearing. Their aim is simply to ensure you enjoy your meal whatever your budget. The restaurant has a feel of luxury unlike the prices. Go there and enjoy it!

I’ve never tried Turkish food before. The portion size was very good and the bread they is just dilish!! They have decent vegan options especially on the cafe menu. Highly recommended

It was our first visit to the restaurant. We had been looking for a nice Turkish restaurant for a while and this came up today. The place has a very nice ambience and seating is very comfortable. Menu options are quite varied, so are the drinks! I would have liked more mocktail options as we don’t drink. Now, the service was hit and miss. We got our drinks and starters very quickly and the mains came after a long wait. The restaurant was not busy at all, only 4 tables including us but still took some time. I was going to give 4 *s but thinking about the overall experience, it can have 5! Prices were towards the upper end (London prices in Hertfordshire) but the portion size was very generous. We have lamb beyti, Turko burger and mixed Adana, which were all tasteful and plentiful! However, due to the price we might only use it for special occasions only!

We had an excellent experience this evening here. The restaurant was gorgeous and the food was lovely. The service was exceptional and one member of staff stood out. Nadine was fabulous and was attentive. She had a brilliant positive attitude and made Our evening. Thank you!

At the Hatfield branch, Jona, was our waitress (I think that was her name, dark hair and glasses, in her 20s or 30s) She (and all staff) were very welcoming and food was served promptly. She made sure each and every person on the table was happy. Food was amazing, 10/10! Would definitely recommend them to anyone, great place to eat out!

Restaurant
Red Indian Restaurant is an eatery in Welwyn Garden City that specializes in Asian, Bangladeshi, and Indian cuisine. This establishment has garnered a positive reputation since its opening in 2012. Customers have praised the restaurant for its delectable dishes and expressed their desire to return for more. With a number two rating on Google Maps, Red Indian provides an inviting atmosphere for those seeking flavorful Indian food in the southern region of the country.
Had a superb banquet night for their anniversary - delicious chutneys, mixed starter and mains, which even included the tandoori seabass, with sides too. We loved the mini cupcakes as a touch after the meal, and left so full for a bargain price. Service was fast despite a very busy evening, and we had a great time. Thanks!
Sophie Weller — Google review
I purchased a gift card from Red for my parents as a birthday present. When they visited the restaurant tonight to redeem it, they were informed that only one voucher could be used per visit. So, instead of enjoying a family meal paid for by their family, they now have to make three separate trips to use their birthday gift card/vouchers. I wouldn’t recommend Red because of this. It's disappointing that Red sells gift cards without clearly communicating such restrictions on their usage

Without fail every time this restaurant has the fastest delivery and food is AMAZING! Whenever I phone the customer service is always so kind and welcoming. No.1 Indian restaurant/ takeaway :)

Pleasant atmosphere, great service, amazing food. Appeared to be a popular restaurant as busy when we went. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

I half expected tomahawks and teepees but the restaurant turned out to be one serving Indian food and just happened to be called "red". The food was very tasty and well presented. Our starter was remarkably filling, so we weren't able to do the main courses the justice they definitely deserved. This has now gone to the top of my list of "Indian restaurants in this part of Hertfordshire". Hopefully, we will return.

Visited here on a Sunday evening. Not too busy at all. Staff were great, attentive and polite. Food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes were just right! Would definitely visit here again and I recommend, especially for couples and small groups.

The Sibthorpe Arms, located in Hatfield, has received a commendable rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars based on 147 reviews. Out of these reviews, an impressive majority of 103 have described their experience as 'Excellent'. Furthermore, this establishment holds the esteemed position of being ranked number one among the 52 restaurants in the Hatfield area and number one among the 13 pubs in town.
First time visiting as we were in the area and was very delighted with our food. This pub serves your "traditional pub grub" at afford prices. I can recommend the steak pie it was lovely and decent portion size too. The young man who served us was friendly and pilot. As we left the pub all the staff said goodbye which was nice. There is a child play area so makes it a perfect place if you had small children. We don't have children so there is the odd distraction but but it didn't bother us that much.

We arrived latish on Saturday night, starving and desperate for a steak after a very long drive. Welcomed by a log fire and friendly staff who informed us the kitchen was just closing. If we ordered promptly at the bar the kitchen could fulfill our order. Really great pub food; beautiful prawn cocktail, deep-fried mushrooms and incredible sirloin steaks. I can't fault the food, staff or service....so friendly and accommodating

Went for a Sunday lunch. Had the veggie roast and I was surprised as it tasted a lot better than it looked. My partner’s burger was however very lacking without much to like about it. Very friendly service and welcoming staff though!

Lovely friendly pub. Warm fire, welcoming staff. Good food and plenty of room for the kids to play. Also welcomed our dog with a pat and some water. Felt very comfortable.

Nice little country pub, we only visited once for a wake during a weekday, but I found the staff friendly, the buffet was plentiful and varied and there's ample seating. It's a traditional style with dark wood and lowish ceilings. The pub has an outdoor area with a few bench tables, a large car park, a bright conservatory and a few cosy nooks. Wouldn't be fair to say much more unless I was a frequent visitor, but I would return if we were ever in the area again.

All Ten of our very elderly party enjoyed an excellent lunch today with not too long a wait for our meals to appear despite the number of us. It made it so much easier for sorting the bill when the waitress took our orders individually with our names. Thank you so much for a most enjoyable get together over a lovely lunch, we’ll be back soon!
Muriel Smith — Google review
What a lovely village pub. The food was fabulous. The beer was great too. If anyone from the pub is reviewing, what was the name of the hand pulled bitter you have there please.
Steve Warren — Google review
A Fantastic meal and atmosphere right on my doorstep. This is one of the few great pubs left nowadays with honest, classic pub food at reasonable prices. If you eat a main course, please have a desert too. You'll die for the proper classic crumble or the chocolate fudge pudding with Ice cream or custard. Mmmm! The service is also prompt and warm, with the owners being really hospitable. Don't hesitate to try this great 120-year-old village pub.

Lovely steak, really well cooked. Service was good. Can be a bit noisy on the dining room - echoes a bit. Menu has a good selection, will be back.

Traditional pub with good food. I had the cod and chips which was a very good portion. The beer was good and lively. Service was very good but it was a Tuesday evening and not too busy. They were showing the Champions League football which was a bonus!

The Red Lion used to operate as a hotel and banqueting suite in a historically significant location. With its serene ambiance, customers can enjoy the fresh air while seated outside.
We just celebrated our parents diamond wedding anniversary at the red lion. The service was very good and the food went down a treat. Staff were polite and a great atmosphere.

I visited this place as I was organised a baby shower to my friend 🧡 I booked it a while back, and it was easy and straightforward. 20 people were invited, and all of us fit well 😊 chlidren were able to "play" outside. The food was delicious and a good portion! We received a great service here even though I was just booked a place, no food or drink were included in our booking, but we, of course, ordered food and drinks. A big restaurant with an outside space which is amazing to use if the weather lets you 😉

Enjoyed a nice burger and chips here for lunch after a long walk. The food was tasty (especially the chips) and came out promptly. The staff were attentive but seemed unimpressed when asked to fill up a water bottle with tap water before we left. There was a decent atmosphere inside, not too busy around 12:00-12:30 and had a nice cosy feel. Overall I’d still recommend going and checking it out.

I had a wonderful Sunday roast at the Red Lion! Lovely atmosphere, brilliant staff and mouth watering food. The place was packed, but they were still able to get me a table for 1. I ordered the beer-braised beef brisket roast, which was a good choice. The food itself was incredible and very filling. The gravy was rich in flavour, and everything else on my plate was very well prepared. I especially loved the baked potatoes! Again, I just have to mention how wonderful the staff was during my afternoon lunch there. They were smiling, polite and very helpful towards me! (Yea, I look at you, boy and two girl waitresses! Wished I caught your names.) Even though there were so many other guests to attend to, they still made sure I had everything I needed. I will make sure to come back here again during the two months I have left here in Hatfield! (Life of an exchange student) thanks for the amazing experience! Definitely recommended. Bonus; it's literally so close to the Hatfield train station!

We had my 60th birthday celebration in the function room and it comfortably held 60 people. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the buffet was excellent. There was a lot of good tasting food and my guests all commented what a lovely evening they had had. The team couldn't do enough for us and the whole evening went off really well. Thankyou

Delicious fishcakes and my sister enjoyed the goats cheese pasta. Service was quick. I gave atmosphere 4 stars as I was there on a wet Wednesday lunchtime, so it was obviously quiet but nice all the same

Lovely calm atmosphere, sat outside in fresh air. Unfortunately I did have to wait quite a while before being served at the bar and had another customer served before me even though I had been waiting before them, however the staff are extremely polite and food comes out very quickly to a great standard. Seems a warm and friendly environment, would recommend for couples and families aiming for a calm and chilled out evening.

This is a brilliant pub!!! Service is top notch and everyone is so friendly. The food? 10/10 especially the Sunday roast! Very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Great portion sizes and you get the option to order a smaller or larger plate depending on how much you can eat! They also have 99ps with a flake!! Great seating availability & very clean. Dog friendly and parking! 100% recommend and definitely coming back

We went here for lunch on Boxing Day as part of a big party of about 20. I’m a little snobby with food but I was so impressed! The service from the moment we arrived to when we left was amazing, especially so as they were busy with multiple groups. We were never left waiting for drinks or for food to be served, tables to be cleared. The food was of a great standard, more than expected for when catering for the numbers they were. This is a gem of a venue!
Joanne Morris — Google review
A very agreeable establishment. Great interior, tasty food, reasonable prices, pristine loos and excellent serving staff. Very cosy inside with period decor and a variety of seats to suit all postures. The menu isn't challenging but offers something for most tastes with options and additions at low prices. My steak was cooked perfectly as were my companions beetroot and chicken burgers. The wine list starts around £17 a bottle and all available by the small, medium or, in my case, large glass. Dessert menu proved to be more satisfying than on initial glance. Car park spacious. What's not to like?

Steak house
The Stanborough Beefeater is a popular steak house chain offering a diverse menu of grilled meats and international dishes like fajitas. They also serve an excellent value Beefeaters breakfast, where kids eat free and the breakfast includes unlimited options such as full English breakfast, continental items like pain au chocolat and bagels, as well as fruit, yogurt, and cereal.
As (sadly) a Premier Inn veteran, the Stanborough, like the hotel next door, it's a noticeable cut above the usual quality of the chain. Breakfast was fresher and more wide-ranging than I'm used to - and server Diane was really friendly. Dinner was suitably tasty and prompt (despite the serving staff clearly being stretched on the night). Don't expect the Ivy or the Dorchester, but for the price it's great.

The staff were lovely as was the food but the restaurant was a bit grubby, the toilets smelt of urine which really is disappointing. Otherwise lovely! Had a fabulous roast dinner and would come back again
Louise Robinson — Google review
We're regulars here, living near by. Service is normally excellent (shout out to Jon and Mel) and food prepared to a high quality. In recent months there have been a lot of items unavailable. The property is long overdue for a refurb, with the toilet area particularly grim (whoever thought those tiles were a good idea was a comedian, as they mask the regular flooding in the gents!!)

Forgot to review at time but went over the 2023 christmas period and got the set christmas menu with my partner and I could not fault the meals or cocktails/mocktails. They were creative with fun quirky names and looked and tasted amazing. Fast service and lovely staff. As we were staying at hotel next door breakfast the next morning was the usually premiere inn style serve yourself but as always, equally delicious as the dinner. Only fault was the wait time to be seated and lack of staff at time we were being seated. Along with the other guests we waited a while to be seated. Must of caught them at a busy time. Would definetley come again. 😄

We had gone there for lunch & chose their lunchtime menu. My wife had Lasagna which came with garlic bread & I had the gammon. We also ordered a side of onion rings. The garlic bread was served with the base totally burnt. This was brought to the attention if the waiter who arranged a replacement. When that came the base was partially burnt but most of the bread as edible. We did not make a further complaint because my wife was getting close to finishing her meal. The onion rings were very much overdone. I knew I should have complained at the time & had them changed but this would also have interrupted our meal. I did complain after especially when we were over charged for them. The triple cooked chips were not cooked enough either. Then there was the issue of only having one person taking orders and serving albeit there was occasional help from one other person. I have to say this is the first time I have experienced this poor quality & lack of staff. I really hope I do not get similar issues again. I will visit again because I'm hoping this is a 'one off'.

Went here at the weekend for breakfast and what a treat. The waitress who greeted us was utterly excellent. Toni I believe her name was and she made our experience brilliant. Had a fabulous time at the bingo quiz night tonight, raising money for GOSH. We arrived early and had dinner first. The staff were all wonderful, as usual, and very attentive. Our food was delicious, too. We then moved round to the bar to play games of bingo interspersed with a quiz and a guess the logo sheet to raise money for GOSH. Kathy was brilliant, checking in with us regularly that she was going at the right pace, that we could hear her and that we were enjoying ourselves (and we were!) I, myself, was unlucky in the bingo, but my Auntie won twice! She was very happy. Overall, a fantastic night. Well done Nicole and your team :)

Food was amazing. However, it was completely ruined by the service. Me and my boyfriend came in for a meal, we were standing by the desk for 10 minutes staff were going by and looking us not sitting us down. Then we waited for another 10 minutes for our order to be taken and on top of that another 10 minutes for food to come out. We were completely ignored from start to finish. Appalling service.
Sasha Emelianova — Google review
Sadly, not my best Sunday dinner out. Apparently, telling staff I did not want a Yorkshire pudding was ignored and then when placed in front of me, an offer to remove it from my plate was made. Stuffing was again something I didn't require, yet no supplement was offered. As we left, a rather large rat blocked our exit, which I found quite shocking and will never return to this venue after this experience.
Paul Mallatratt — Google review
The restaurant has really turned it around since our last visit 3-4 months ago. We had a fantastic waitress (Mel) and together with Jon, they're two of the best in the business I swear. The food has also improved by a couple of notches, everything was cooked to perfection with my mixed grill and the wife likewise with the sirloin steak she ordered. Long may it continue!
