Stopped here for lunch on our drive from Dublin to Galway. Such a cute and cozy spot. Menu wasn’t very extensive but had many tasty choices (lots of sandwich options). We ended up getting the roast turkey chefs special (think an American thanksgiving dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberries) and the Chicken tenders (pictured). Portions were perfect, priced incredibly well and very tasty food. Had a great cup of coffee and a perfectly poured Guinness (would expect nothing less). We had a wonderful time. Downtown is cute and picturesque. Highly recommended little gem. Added plus, there is free public parking lot about a 2 block walk away

Love love love. Great food here! Myself and my fam went for a little meal here last weekend. We shared a starter (potato skins - it was delish) and I got the pasta. Tasty menu and all the food was of high quality. Mam got a mix of seafood (not on the menu but they were happy to accommodate and put together what she wanted) and my sister got the chicken curry! She loves spicy curry and was delighted how hot it was 🌶️ I had two whiskey sours and they were fab. My sister had an espresso martini and was delighted with how big the coctails were for the price! I’d highly recommend this place. The service was top notch. Given the fact that when we went in it looked super busy, we had our orders taken quickly and were served our drinks and food quickly. Couldn’t recommend enough. It was right next door to our hotel too! Always worth a mention too - the toilets were spotless. Well done all - we will certainly be back!

4.5 for me as not all plates of food were consistent with some having more portion or other ingredients than others. However the quality and taste was very good and atmosphere nice. Good service also. I would return again.

Very nice restaurant, I was at a large group dinner here and it was very well managed and the food was delicious. The location is great too as it's on the main street which is close to a large carpark. I can highly recommend this place and look forward to going again.

You ask for an extra piece of bread and you get sold a starter, I made my request very clear so there was no ambiguity. Also, giving out to your staff on front of customers ruins the experience for all concerned.We won't be returning, Fusion restaurant a few doors down was a much better option for the rest of our stay in Roscommon, portions were by far superior with the same quality as you'd expect.

Regan's Gastro Pub in downtown Roscommon had great atmosphere, service, and food. The decor is not traditional Irish. The food is fusion. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The place is clean and modern.

Small establishment - but let me say this.... In my 52 years, I have NEVER had a better burger in my life; hands-down exceptional. It was quiet when we went and the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Had a booking for 10 for a birthday party dinner and drinks. From first contact with David to arrange booking professional and accommodating. On the night from walking in the door, staff friendly and helpful. Service for our group of 10 was well organised and no issues. Easy to get staffs attention when needed. The food was excellent quality, especially the fillet of steak, cooked exactly as asked which recently has been hard to find.

In fairness was very busy, we walked in, got a table near door so continued to be open, making it a cold place 2 sit. Service was ok, they were under pressure, food was nice, a little cold, but tasty, a bit on the expensive side for what you get though. Nice staff, good pints.

Sadly I never got to try the food. Was in two days ago to try to see if they had any tables. A group of three and another of two walked in behind me. All 5 bar staff completely ignored me and the two groups were seen to immediately. Before these groups arrived, when I was still there solo, I heard a customer say the service that evening was very bad to one of the waiters as she was paying. I double down on her comment. I was extremely disappointed by the service because the food really does look good and reasonably priced. Just as a reference, I was wearing jeans, an Italian long coat and a scarf, I was well dressed and pleasantly waiting until I was ignored by multiple staff as I tried to catch their eye. The poor kids(all teens or early twenties) clearly couldn't handle the stress of a full restaurant and it reflected in their hospitality. I might go back in the future as I have family who live in Roscommon but it's unlikely and never solo.

Perfection guaranteed here at Regan's. 2 perfectly cooked Steak dinner's. Daughter absolutely delighted with Chicken and Bacon Burger. Dessert also beautifully presented and went down well. Thank you for excellent well mannered Service Staff. Would without doubt recommend.

Ate here twice over Christmas. The food was delicious. Most of the staff are polite, the manager seems very nice. However, first time, everyone else at my table had their starters finished before I even got mine. Someone at my table finally got the waitresses attention to let her know I still hadn't got my starter. The second time in here on 30th December, it was the same thing again. Trying to get any waiter/waitresses attention was near impossible. Finally got the waitresses attention (different waitress), and asked for dessert menus and tried to ask for tea, but she walked away from the table before I got a chance to finish my sentence. I had to ask a different waiter for a cup of tea when he brought down his dessert. I saw the same waitress a few times just standing up chatting with a colleague, when there were lots of tables waiting to get her attention. The food is great, but the service definitely needs to improve.

Only visited the restaurant this afternoon with a friend, to celebrate my birthday. Surroundings were clean + tidy, young man who brought the food out was very nice + polite. Which is more than can be said for the waitress, who when I asked for a cup for my herbal tea, almost threw the cup on the table. 😢 otherwise it's nice lunch + very good company.

Very satisfied with Gleesons hotel. The receptionist greeted us with a welcoming smile and pointed us to our room, which was old style but very clean, the bed and pillows where comfortable, the bathroom was well equipped with a good strength shower over a bath (relaxing in a hot bath, I thoroughly enjoyed using as we only have a shower at home). We had previously booked a meal in the restaurant for 7-45, but by 6pm after our long day visiting relatives we asked could we have our meal early, with the staff happy to take our order of Goats cheese salad main course for myself and the Lasagna with salad and a side of chunky chips and onion rings, which were all excellent and came with everything that was stated on the menu. For dessert we both ordered the baked fruit crumble with custard, it was tasty but not to our liking as it was a layer of mixed seasonal fruit, pastry crumble and custard baked in the dish which made it thick and heavy, as we expected something a little lighter to finish of our excellent meal. (Like having the fruit and a light crumble baked together with a pouring custard to go on top, which would have been more to 'our taste'). The next morning we had a wide choice to choose from the breakfast menu which was all inclusive in our BnB price. Overall it was a satisfactory stay. Thanking all the staff for their good service.

Lovely hotel, rooms clean, bathroom modern. Shower perfect. Breakfast was good offering Full fry, mini fry, vegetarian option, poached eggs with spinach on sourdough. Great location in town. Bars n restaurants nearby. Parking at back of hotel but I used onscreen free 24hr parking. Staff friendly. Easy check-in and out. Recommended

I really enjoyed my visit. I booked one of the larger rooms overlooking the square and found it very comfortable. There were nice touches like the heater being left on for us. The bed was vey nice and I enjoyed the décor (although some may not like it as it is of an older style). You can hear other guests in the corridor but I don't believe that's the fault of anyone but those making the noise and it wasn't disruptive. The breakfast is really delicious and the parking and instructions to find the place were straight forward. I think its really good value for money and I would happily stay again.

Simply the best Cod & chips in Roscommon as the batter was tasty light and crispy, the cod was fresh and succulent with perfectly cooked chips. If your into Fish And chips this is the place to go. Staff were very nice and efficient.

The hotel has amazing food i tried breakfast lunch and dinner and all were very tasty. Staff are so friendly and helpful. This hotel is dog friendly so me and my dog really enjoyed our stay :)

We had breakfast here and being honest I've had better. I won't be rushing back for breakfast, the potatoes were very oily and didn't taste good, bacon was very fatty. Service was good, lovely friendly girl called Chloe. I've had lunch and dinner here and it's fab.

Went for a birthday meal with friends. Nice food generally but my chicken wasn't cooked very well. But nice food generally, efficient staff and nice restaurant (except for very loud other guests)

This place is a real gem. We were working in the area and wanted a bed for the night. Artic conditions outside, but inside warm and cosy both the place, atmosphere and staff, they couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was incredible too. We will definitely be back. We visited Gleesons for a family reunion and were given a large reception room which worked very well for us. The staff could not have been more helpful and showed great flexibility with accommodating our needs.

The food here was amazing and very nice ambience and service. Portions are huge also and it’s pretty good value. Definitely would be back and probably wouldn’t order a start given the size of the Stew. Amazing!

Lovely staff organised a mini bus to take a group of us to a party. The food was lovely and very well priced. I would highly recommend it.

Fabulous family lunch on a busy day. We didn't book but we're accommodated after a short wait. Service was fabulous my favourite place to meet. Staff excellent not rushed even though we did stay mindful of others waiting we were not rushed. Thank you we will be back.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for meals for years. It so cozy, with friendly staff and beautiful food. Once you step inside the door you feel at home and relaxed. Hope to visit again soon when next in Roscommon. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the town.

Good experience! We stayed for two nights - the rooms were spotless and very comfortable - the service was fantastic and the staff were very nice! Especially at the bar. We went for dinner a little later one night and we’re surprised that the bar was closing so early (Saturday night). As we were residents we had expected it’d be open a little later so we could have drinks but as there is so many pubs around it wasn’t a major issue. The only negative I had was that I ordered a vol au vent and it arrived slightly cold. Breakfast and all other food was very good but was just a bit disappointed in the evening dining. Other than this everything else was perfect. I loved the fact that they provided extra towels if you plan to put tan on (so the whites don’t get stained) great thinking! I would return!

We stopped here for a break from Westmeath to Knock and found that this place had lovely and clean facilities. We had an ice cream which was needed for our voyage. Busy, but lots of space inside and outside

Stopped for snack late evening. Tuna melt and tea was lovely, light and very tasty. Service was so friendly and efficient. Areas were noticeably clean and bathroom was like a hospital theatre. It was a most relaxing stop on a tight schedule. I'll be back soon.

Quick and efficient, lots of choice other than the advertised. They do subs, wraps, coffees and something for the sweet tooth. They also have a sandwich section a Banbury dinner section and a quick take away snack section.

The girls were super as I have food intolerance .they discussed the menu with me I had a lovely g f & D/F roll toasted .with a variety of salads & meat.tomsto.soup.&. a cup.of coffee . It was 10 out of 10 .you are very lucky to have such caring staff one girl was new but you wouldn't know as the other girls were helping her along .thank you. For a great experience 🙂

Busy and very good. I was intimidated thinking it was gas station food, but it was very very good. It has tons of options- different kinds of food to eat! I got a sandwich and my man got chicken tenders and fries. Lots of other food for purchase!

Called in on way to hen party in carrick. Busy shop! Lots to choose from. There's batista, supermacs, pizza, subs/wraps, Deli, salad bar, off licence, and petrol/diesel. Toilets are clean. Plenty of parking and seating. Good value for money. Will call again!

The food was very good. Why I gave it a lower mark is that in the past if you had fish and chips to eat in it was on a plate. Now it is in a box. Also I now had to ask for tartare sauce as before it came on the tray. I wanted ketchup for the chips. 6 sachets that I tried I was unable to open.

Fast service. Had burger and real chips. Great food. Very handy sport to stop and eat on your route.

Very good breakfast. We loved full Irish breakfast. Staff very polite and friendly. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Toilets and changing rooms were clean whenever we went. Well, we went there once in a month for nearly 18 years 😊

Very expensive for poor low quality food, Over run with foreign staff . Irish company in Roscommon Town . Abusive, threatening & violent behaviour from 3 or 4 young men . My children were crying with fear. This was discusting , There was 20 male staff here , they should have delth with it . All afraid .

I tried pizza and it was great there. Service is good. Members of staff are good too. The atmosphere in there is like in fast food chain business, it was busy when I was there.

Love their pizzas. They make pizzas with plenty of tomato sauce and lots of cheese and so delicious. Can't fault their pizzas. Also,there are lots of tables so no problem to find a seating.

The food is not fast I was given a little stand with a number on it and waited patiently for 10 minutes. I enquired at the counter and the cashier didn't know what I had ordered. The manager said it was being prepared but I insisted on a refund. Refund received, will not be going back for slow food. Manager said it was busy but it was only moderately busy being 245PM . I was offered the food (garlic and cheese fries with bottle of water)on the house but I did not avail as I do not want to sponsor slow service. Folks if you are waiting uneasonably long nake sure you ask for refund and go elsewhere. You will be doing the restaurant a favour because this will encourage a better service in the future. *Update Service is still as shocking as ever waited over 8 minutes doe asack box, hardly the most complicated order to prepare. Decided to time it on my phone with stopwatch. Showed lady behind counter she just curtly resposded that they were busy, refused to give her name so that I culdmake complain. Sent email to John in customer service.

It’s my first experience here and the person who took our order Cibelly made me want to come back. Her kindness and valuable advice, made our visit to PaPa Johns feel more enjoyable than what I usually experience at fast-foods restaurants, even considering often during our brief interaction she had a supervisor breathing down her neck. If she hadn’t been as graceful as she was I probably would haven’t enjoyed the experience as much. Consequently I may not have ever returned to what somewhat appeared to be an oppressive environment. I hope someone with clout praises her and simultaneously coaches that supervisor.

Please bring back the old chicken nuggets, the new ones are disgusting. Always either overcooked and hard or under cooked and rubbery!. Shame as i use to love going here and its the only decent fast food spot in Roscommon. Really hope it gets changed back but i assume they cant do much about it.

Popped in this evening for a meal first time here (came recommended) and to be honest couldn't fault it , really enjoyed the roast duck King prawn stuffing in crab sauce, very plentiful and delicious, my partner had sweet and sour chicken which she also enjoyed, starters spring rolls and salt and chilli ribs again very enjoyable, huge portions so make sure your hungry before visiting, will definitely call again , beautiful premises very oriental. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Never left a review anywhere but i’ve never experienced food as bad as this. Spent almost €40, Chicken was dangerously bright pink, rice un-eatable with all the salt. Spice bag was just plain chips and plain raw chicken, nothing else!! Curry sauce was just thick flavourless liquid, looked like it was lying here all week. Overall food was really cold(probably because it was bearly cooked) not one dish was eatable.

Family of 6 dined here on Easter Monday evening at 5pm. Sorry to say that unfortunately we experienced very long delays (1 hour between starter and main) due to short staffing, food was mediocre on this visit. We were left without water and fresh cutlery and napkins for some time. Cold room, lacks atmosphere and ambiance for the prices charged. Take away seemed to have been give priority. Needs more efficient and professional staff please if remaining open as dine in restaurant.

Horrible experience, we used to love ruby kings but since the change the whole thing has just gone downhill. The takeaway menu has no explanations. We ordered food for take away and when they got our order wrong and we asked if they could replace it they said the food had gone soggy so they’d have to throw it out and that it was our fault for ‘not ordering correctly’ I spent like 5 minutes listening to the waitress tell us that it was our fault until finally I said never mind and was about to leave so she said she’d swap it this time but next time to make sure to ‘order properly’ and proceeds to give us barely cooked chicken and soggy rice.

Disappointed in the attitude of the staff. Twice I've asked about the receipt, twice I was told it will be in the bag. Luckily I've checked before leaving and had to return and ask for a receipt. Not cool.

This used to be the nicest Chinese when the previous owner had it but now has gone downhill. Got a chicken curry and there was a sharp piece of plastic in it then i noticed the chicken looked Really bad and had dark purple spots . Went in to tell the owner and she wouldn't accept responsibility and refused to give me a refund after some strong words I eventually got a refund but i will never eat there again

I went there during a visit to my sister, who told me it was the place to go for Chinese and Thai food. That was an understatement. Elli's service was quick and beyond generous, the food was delicious, everyone was having fun. Definite five stars👍

I have now eaten at Ruby Kings restaurant multiple times, never once having anything less than an excellent dining experience. I’m not the person who is interested in diminishing anyone else’s truth, and perhaps if not for the praise it has also received from other friends of mine who have dined there I may have been able to imagine others dissatisfaction with the food, service or atmosphere. Nonetheless I’m bewildered by some of the reviews I’ve read about others experiences dining there. I guess it comes down to experiencing Ruby Kings yourself, instead of trying to decide which reviews may be reflective of the experience awaiting you. For me, it’s the best dining experience I’ve had in Roscommon and one I’m always eager to have again. From Ellie’s professionalism to Wen’s humble effort, I couldn’t ask for anything better in terms of service, food selection, and quality of the meals.

Ordered dinner for collection at 6.30 and was told it would be ready at 6.45, arrived down to find a crowd of people waiting for their food and was told my order wasn’t ready. More people kept arriving and being told the same thing. In the midst of this, they’re still taking orders over the phone and telling people to collect in 15 mins. Finally I was handed a bag of food at 7.45, got home 10 mins later and it was stone cold. No way did it get that cold in a thermal bag in my car for 10 mins, obviously my order was left sitting around for ages before being handed over. Eventually got all the food reheated and sat down to eat… food was awful. Really disappointing as I have eaten in the restaurant before and it has been lovely but tonight’s experience was a massive waste of time and money.

REVIEW OF RUBY KINGS From the moment we entered the restaurant we knew we may be in for something truly special, if not unique. How wonderful it is when your expectations are met, and dare I say, even exceeded. This is what happened to my partner-in-time and I one rainy night in Roscommon, Ireland upon entering RUBY KINGS. From the restaurant’s ambiance—which was boldly elegant—to the presentation of each dish we ordered, superb would be an understatement. And then there was the food. Mmmmmm. We ordered duck spring rolls and two different soups as appetizers, which we shared. Both soups had us wanting more. Our main dishes were Scallops for me and for my spouse a Seafood Combination Plate. Like with the soups we both tasted each other’s choice. As a result we both unabashedly stated that the next time we visited RUBY KINGS we would each order what we only tasted from each other’s plate our first visit but weren’t smart enough to have ordered that time. And lastly, the service was exquisite. Having worked my way through university as a Server, I’m predisposed to being somewhat critical of service that is lacking. Conversely I fully recognize when it accentuates an already superb meal. Our server, Elly, did just that. We highly recommend RUBY KINGS to anyone wanting a first-class dining experience at reasonable prices. Don’t be surprised if you run into us there as well. We have added it to our—got-to-eat-there at least a couple-/-few times a month, at minimum—list.

Lovely experience this evening in roscommons little gem of a chinese restaurant. Prices are reasonable, staff friendly and service is quick. Food was well prepared and had a good time. Will be returning when the hunger for a decent chinese strikes. Takeaway seemed a highly popular local option too!

Delicious food, great variety and excellent customer service

We ordered sandwiches, lasagne and chicken ala king for an event. Séan delivered after hours, which was greatly appreciated. All the food was delicious. The sandwiches were extremely fresh, with generous fillings. Would recommend without hesitation.

Just had the carvery dinner at the pepper mill, and I was very impressed to say the least. The restaurant was busy but the staff were pleasant and on top of everything, the food was excellent and plenty of it, I had the glazed bacon, my wife had a delicious quiche with salad, my daughter had chicken supreme, all was presented beautifully and the price was very reasonable. We had deserts which were home made and equally delicious with lovely cappuccino. The eating area and toilet facilities were spotless, always a good sign of a well managed establishment. As for the staff, they were a joy to deal with and were all very diligent. Ten out of ten for the pepper mill. We will be back.
