Afytos, or Athitos, is a hilltop village of stone houses and cobbled streets overlooking the Toroneos Gulf, with a popular beach below. The 1800s Agios Dimitrios church dominates the main square, while Macedonian restaurants and sea-view bars run along the cliffs and shore. Ceramics, fabrics, and art are shown at the Folklore Museum, and the Afitos Festival brings street art and live music in summer.

Sousourada, located in Halkidiki, offers a delightful dining experience during your holiday. The cuisine at this family-run restaurant showcases various Mediterranean influences along with traditional Greek dishes. Additionally, the extensive wine list boasts over 100 labels. The restaurant provides excellent service and delectable food in a pleasant setting with an attractive interior and a satisfactory terrace. Although the menu features only a limited number of high-quality items, the price reflects the overall quality without being excessively costly.
Definitely a full 5 stars! Every dish was well made, well presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was also very friendly and timely. We ordered one 4 course menu (28€) that included 3 wines pairings. We ordered an additional appetizer, entree, and drink and paid 55€ for everything. For the price, the quality, the presentation, and the taste, this is definitely one of the best restaurants in this town.

Very good if you want same old same old not for you offers fine food at really reasonable prices,double this price in London and they would call it fine dining.

Excellent service, interesting wine selection and gourmet Greek dishes. A bit pricey but good for the quality offered. Lovely decor and great music. Relatively relaxed atmosphere as opposed to the main hustle and bustle of afytos. A lovey hidden little gem that you must try if you are around ;)

WOW! If you only visit one place in Afitos to eat then make sure it's this place, otherwise you are missing out on a real treat. The owner is fantastic, also doubling up as server and his service style is very unique. The food, although not extensive is exceptional and we had an amazing experience here - we would be quick to return. N.B. card accepted
Nice place with good service and tasty food. Very good food lovely interior and ok terrace. Menu contains only few high quality items. Price reflects the quality. It is not cheap but also not overly expensive. What you see in photos was a little bit over 40 Euro. You might get doubts that the restaurant does not have views, but it should not be stopping you from trying if you like the menu offers and ideas. English menu, cards accepted.
Food was delicious, a bit pricier than the other restaurants nearby, but completely worth it. Menu also includes dishes that are a bit different than the usual fried seafood and fried zucchini everywhere else, but still the place offers traditional Greek food - chicken with veggies and couscous, lamb, salads, eggplant with feta.
The two waiters were incredibly nice and attentive to everyone even though the place was full.
The atmosphere was very pleasant and calm. The restaurant is situated in the centre of Afitos but a bit on the side of all the hustle.
Beautiful dining experience. Tucked away past the main square, in a lovely building with a gorgeously tiled terrace, this family-run restaurant is a total gem. The food was wholesome and delicious, and the service even better - second desert on the house so we could try the son’s latest creation and it was sensational. We had the halloumi to start, steak/lamb for main. All excellent.

Petra Flora, located just outside Afitos, offers more than just a wood-burning pizza oven. Visitors can also indulge in delectable ice cream flavors like their renowned fig and banana combination, as well as other snacks and refreshing iced drinks. This Afytos gem provides a taste of Italy in a charming garden setting that is perfect for those warm summer evenings. Highly recommended dishes include the Caesar salad, which is regarded as the best anywhere.
Decided to go here as the restaurant next to it was full. But the decision was perfect. Half empty so we got fast service without waiting. Pizza was hands down the best I have ever had. Definitely not frozen, baked on wood and really crispy as it should be. Much recommended to visit!

Pizza is frozen (from supermarket) and oven baked! No taste!
We were waiting for about 40 min, because priority is delivery. Greek guests get quicker. All pizzas are different look and taste.
Pizza are not like on photos or in menu!

Greek salad is also poor (bad tomato, not cold…).
Definitely, some pizzas are frozen, some are homemade, but POOR TASTE!
Avoid this place if you are hungry or expecting a solid quality and service!

Very good place. Pizza and pasta were both great, It's realy a place you have to visit in the town. In my opinion it's on of the best places in town.Desserts are incredible.
Our favourite restaurant in Athitos! Absolutely delicious pizza, salad and pasta - and dessert! Really pretty outdoor setting and the staff are so lovely - really kind and gave us lots of local tips!
A nice family run place, serving great pizza and salads. We has three pizzas and a Greek salad, which was enough to share between four adults.

During a warm July evening we found this little oasis in Afytos village that brings the flavors of Italy right to your table!
Amongst the lovely garden of Petra flora you will feel a summer breeze that refreshes you!
Absolutely recommend: Ceasars salad - the best we have had anywhere
For us it was the second time eating at Petra flora. We like this place, its atmosphere and the fact that it’s a bit far from the crowded centre. The pizza was delicious and the atmosphere during the night is even more wonderful. Friendly owners and stuff overall. We will visit again next year.
Petra flora is really just a pizza cafe, ok for families with children. When we visited we were informed there would be a 40 minute wait for pizzas, but they completely forgot our order and after an hour, we complained, then we paid for our drinks and were leaving when suddenly our pizza arrived at our table in a takeaway box. Very young staff are serving which is maybe why our order went missing, the takeaway pizza was quite nice, but be aware of long delays for your food at peak times.
Petra flora is a very cozy pizaria with a big green garden, something different from the other restaurants in athitos. The food had a very good taste and was freshly made in the wood oven. The staff was very kind and fast. We will visit petra flora again for sure!!
We visited Pasta Flora during August and all we tasted was delicious!! Once you get there,you'll meet Alexandra who is amazing! We definitely recommend it and come back next summer again. Don't forget to try their Caesars, is above level!!!

Located in the heart of Afitos, Soboro is a Greek eatery offering a wide selection of traditional dishes such as salads, moussaka, and lamb. This restaurant also boasts an extensive wine list and hosts live music regularly to entertain guests. It is highly recommended for visitors to this town due to its delicious food and friendly staff. Moreover, Soboro actively supports local efforts to control the stray animal population by providing assistance with neutering.
Less traditional Greek however the food is excellent local beers and wine and really good quality. Staff excellent would recommend a visit if your there. Definitely would go again

We had moussaka and a chicken rice main, quite underwhelming and very salty. Place wasn’t that busy and service quite so so. Very clean and staff were lovely however I wouldn’t be in a rush back unfortunately
A must to visit if your in this town. Or nearly like we were. We got a taxi over and came for the Real ale and the food was so tasty. Very lovely staff. They are trying to help the local stray animals to get them neutered. As Greece does have a big stray animal problem
We really enjoyed our meal and drinks here and if I'm ever back I would definitely come to this place again.
One of the best places in town to spend the evening sipping wine/beer/cocktails (everything is amazing so good for all preferences) while listening to really good music. The staff speaks really good English, which is rare, all of them are cool young guys that do their job very well. Thank you!
Second time in Aphytos and again there is no better place than Soboro. Spent few dinners here and i wish for more.

The place offers very good meals, but is not a traditional Greek restaurant. If u want to try real octopus meal, go to the more touristic ones. The food and the service here are very good. I would come again but definitely try something different than octopus souvlaki.
Interesting bar/restaurant in Afythos town. Located at the beginning of this village, me and my girlfriend were ordering a moussaka and a plate of chicken with veggies. The avarage between price and quality is good. The dishes were really tasty and the house wine was also good. I recommend to come here
Food was delishes, but could be a bit more. We waited a fair bit to get served and even to pay, others wairted even longer. So they could do it better. Beer variety was really good, many different draft beers, but also normal ones, which are much cheaper. Overall, you can eat here, but bring time with you.
Cute restaurant with jazzy background music and very friendly staff. I tried the goat salad, kataifi prawns and courgette fritters and they all tasted delicious. Generous portions and vegetarian options on the menu.
Very nice local place and friendly staff. The food is amazing and have great fresh beer. Family business much better compared to the commercial places on the the first line. We kept coming back here for dinners, we loved it.

A lovely peaceful place to dine in. Service was great! Also great - vegan options not on the menu. So thankful for the moussaka I could enjoy without giving up my health regime! They also have pizzas and traditional Greek meals. My bf said he had the best tzatziki ever! We will visit again!

The restaurant Pera offers satisfactory service and generous portions. The food is flavorful, although some dishes may be a bit dry and overcooked. There is a tendency to use excessive salt in the preparation. In an area abundant with Greek tavernas, it may not be the top recommendation compared to others that have been visited during one's stay. However, the atmosphere is enjoyable, with good service and a variety of tasty dishes like goat on spit, lamb chops, and retsina wine.
Amazing Greek taverna to enjoy with friends or family, great staff, food very tasty, good prices! I highly recommend, in full season may be difficult to find parking close by.

We were here on Friday night and enjoyed really good live music, unfortunately without sirtaki. The food was delicious, the service was delayed, but we were informed before that. The sea food was fine.
It is traditional Greek tavern with very friendly staff. The food are delicious and the portions are big and cheap. We love it and recommended to every one.
Great atmosfere , very good services , and very good dishes ! There, we served the ester lunch , with goat on spit , lamb chops and lot of retsina ! We also had live music and very good service ! I recommend this place , it's worth every penny !
The food (mousaka & pasta with mushroom) was very delicious. The prices are fair e.g. 1l housewine only 10€. We have been there at saturday & really enjoyed the live music. I really appreciate it that Pera has a vegetarian main dish 🌱 The pasta was incredible.
Absolutely amazing food and service. My husband and I ordered the calamari and zucchini chips (so fresh) the calamari was super tender and lightly fried it was amazing. He ordered the sea bass filet and I the tartar sea bass. Hands down one of the most flavorful and fresh dishes we have ever had. Absolutely delicious and will visit again
(And they gave us dessert on the house after hearing how much we enjoyed)
It was completely empty at lunch time. I went there because of the reviews but it was a major disappointment. They brought me coke without opening the bottle, the octopus was undercooked, the fries were very oily and almost boiled instead of fried. At least the coke did not disappoint.
Pork chop was very dry, tasteless. Fish tartar and gavros where pretty good. Slow service, high prices and no complementary desserts
The food was delicious, the filled aubergine was awesome, the fish was very tasty, the dessert was nice, the waiters are very polite and not pushy, the singer was nice, the atmosphere is pleasant.

Not bad. Service was good, and the portions are generous. The food is tasty but we found ours to be a little dry & overcooked. Heavy handed with the salt. In an area with an abundance of Greek tavernas, it’s hard to recommend this over some of the others we have visited during our stay.

Regarding the meals: Our musaka was perfectly cooked, so tender , mussels were fresh and with not fat, well-balanced sauce with wine and celery which is fabulous tint of taste for seafood, fish soup was full of taste of fresh fish and vegetables . The Greek coffee so delicious, service is lovely. Thank you !

What an amazing view this restaurant has at the top ..😍 Very tasty food, friendly and smiling staff. The squid is fresh and you come to eat the plate. A glass of wine and a view of the endless sea. come, if you don't come you will regret it
We have eaten at all the best restaurants is Halkidiki this is our favourite by far. Traditional Greek food superbly prepared reminds me of my grandparents food. Lovely sea view too.
The place was a disappointing experience since it’s nothing like a traditional Greek taverna. The food was mediocre and not tasty. The Greek salad was tasteless and had lettuce (!?) in it & the zucchini croquettes were completely raw inside. The only good piece from the order were the calamari which were fresh.
The view is nice and staff is quick to serve however if you want to taste real Greek food and hospitality this is not the location.

Amazing food and amazing service…I was able to reserve a table for the evening time although it is always busy there…I would definitely recommend this spot…the view is also breathtaking…the pictures don’t do it any justice 🤗

First place that we visited which charges you for water 2.5 euro.
The view at night is nothing special.
The food is mediocre, we vaited for 1 burger and 1 souvlaki 20 minutes and at that moment there were only 30 people at the restaurant.
2 stars for atmosphere because of cats.
The food is average but the service is the bigger problem. We waited for more than 50 minutes for our food (4 people) and at some point we were told it’s better to pay for our drinks and leave. Then the staff joked about how long it took them to bring out the food which as you can imagine was not so funny for us. Yes, the view from there is pretty nice but so is from the other 5 restaurants on that street so I suggest you choose someplace else.
Service is lacking and they are not customer oriented. We were 4 families and we asked from the beginning to make separate bills , their answer was that they can’t do it , is to complicated for them. I meed to thanks them though , due to this we took a tasty dinner at other restaurant. Keep this approach and you’ll loose your customers.
The food is too much customized for general taste. Not authentic or local at all. Also not tasty. Even fries were not cooked well. Mussels ordered and majority were empty. We sent them back. No one came to say sorry or so. We heard afterwards that it was cancelled from the bill. Do not suggest this place at all.
The food was excellent, prices bearable, the service was nice. There is a stunning view of the beach below from every table.
The only downside was not being told beforehand that our table was reserved later and that our time was limited. In my opinion, that’s a no-no.
