The Antico Emporio Italian restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with its delicious and perfectly cooked tagliata, served with porcini mushrooms and truffles. The generous portion size, tender meat, and rare preparation make it a standout dish. Located beneath the Loggia dei Mercanti, the ambiance adds to the overall significance of this establishment. Moreover, their barbecue offerings are also top-notch. With friendly and polite service at reasonable prices, this restaurant truly embodies excellent local flavors in a traditional setting.
Warm welcome, Happy smile, especially for the waiter who have served me with English. Thank you for the ‘Nice guy’ who served me with English. 🌺

(Translated by Google) As soon as you arrive, very nice, suggestive with natural flowers and under the municipality of Sermoneta with friendly staff. We ask for availability and sit down asking for 2 Spritz Aperols and the waiter offers us the various platters that are also good for two, we take a vegan one and a small one with cheese for my friend... Served quickly at one point we were both with elbows on the table, it comes off, tipping over towards me, my friend immediately puts her hands down to stop it, the glasses fall, they don't break (fortunately, otherwise I would have had those on the bill too), but the spritz fell all over me , my stakes on the ground .... lucky? BUT REALLY NOT!!! To see how the waiters and the owner behaved... The younger waiter lends himself to bringing me 3 and I mean 3 napkins to dry me off, thank you! They don't take away wet plates with napkins inside, they don't bring other cutlery to finish eating. They check the table only after we said it wasn't fixed well and they looked at us dumbfounded as if we had done something wrong... then another gentleman says: it happens... she's lucky... let's bring another Spritzer? It seemed offered to us given what happened ... she brings it, so light in color, my friend tastes it and passes it to me ... it seemed watered down. I ask: and not me? It comes much darker and stronger than the other, so we mix them up a bit. At the end coffee and bill. Oh I forgot offered a liqueur by the owner but it was very little and very good ... Vegan cutting board euro 16 Small cheese platter €12 Spritz 4 €5 each Bread 2 TOTAL EURO 50 I'm sorry, I was wrong not to ask for the menu and see the prices, but having to pay back the spritz for your mistake of fixing the base of the table well, I'm honestly not into it and then it seemed a bit expensive to me honestly. I don't want to be presumptuous but I would also like to add that perhaps perhaps seeing that we spoke in another language... CARE TOWARDS THE COMENSALE IS A DUTY OTHERWISE YOU DON'T BE A RESTAURANT! MA PROPRIO NO!!! Chiedo: e a me no?

Il Giardino del Simposio is the ideal spot to dine after exploring Ninfas Gardens. Their menu features delectable sour cherry or lemon sauce-infused dishes, all crafted with high-quality ingredients that exude sophistication without any pretentiousness. The attentive and friendly staff provides a personalized dining experience. Sermoneta itself is a picturesque town that should not be overlooked.
Perfect place to have lunch after a visit to Ninfa’s Gardens. Most dishes include delicious homemade sour cherries or lemon sauce. The food is refined with top quality ingredients, without being pretentious. The service is quite personalised and the staff is very friendly. The town itself is gorgeous and definitely worth a stop.

When we arrived, the host welcomed us in a friendly manner, but it became clear real soon that he wanted to get everything out of us, by recommending several things on and of the menu without saying whether it will cost extra or not. No prices were mentioned etc. We asked for the fried artichokes (which were very nice), but got all the appetisers instead, anyway all of it was nice, so was the wine and the beer. The steak was bland and the veggies did not go well with it. Definitely no reason to ask such high prices!

I would like to express gratitude to the owner of Ristorante Simposio al Corso for accommodating us even though we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant is situated in a small, central location within a historic city. However, it was overly crowded during the COVID-19 pandemic with no ventilation or windows, causing stress and uncomfortably close table arrangements.

Definitely a tourist trap. Even though the owners were polite, the bill was unjustifiyingly high as the food was mediocre at best. Edit: After the owner's comment, I have to say that I'm sorry, but I cannot understand how a plate of porcini mushrooms and a sad plate of meat, *without any wine* - can cost 70 euros.

First thanks the owenr cause we didnt have the reservation and he was kind to accept and gave table to us. The restaurant is so small i understand that is a historic city and central located. But it was so crowdy in the COVID 19 without any windows or air circulation, i had stress, tables are so close to each other. almost 25 person in a small place and i didnt find it right! The food quality was good, the lady maybe she is the wife of owner or partner, was so kind, explaining everything and smily. The first course were so good but the second course actually not speciall at all (chicken and pistacchio) Surly worth to go Hint: Try the spaghetti truffle. For each person anti pasto- first course, half 2nd, ecc. almsot 43 euros. Have fun and enjoy

(Translated by Google) Not recommended, their flagship trombolotto is good but they put it everywhere, they charged us €8 more after paying with the item "8" which is not clear what it is. I agree with those who say that the owner's attitude is that of a salesman, good appetizer but very basic and poorly seasoned first courses for the price paid (e.g. bottarga was finished so he had plenty of trombolotto...again!) At this point one buys the jar of trombolotto and cooks it at home....unattentive service.

(Translated by Google) A riot of flavors based on Trombolotto (a particular delicate and refined citrus fruit) and sour cherries. Everything was delicious from the trio of starters, with a sublime artichoke and a prawn with sour cherry vinegar on a bed of polenta. The first courses are exceptional and seasoned at the table with bottarga, truffle and obviously trombolotto, the very soft chianina steak and the very tender porcini mushrooms. As for desserts, you should absolutely try the cannoli with sour cherries or chocolate chips for the less ambitious. The wine was also fantastic, in our case a white Capolemole, which perfectly married the citrus present on the base of almost all the dishes. Special mention for the owner, you can see the experience of a restaurateur who loves and knows his work, and for Sermoneta, an enchanting place to absolutely visit. 10+ congratulations. Trattoria Ghost is an extraordinary eatery offering delectable regional cuisine. From the exceptional service to the authentic dishes, this place has it all. Particularly noteworthy are their heavenly carciofi and mouthwatering pappardelle. The host exudes warmth and charm, creating a delightful atmosphere for patrons. The flavorsome food is not to be missed at Trattoria Ghost, making it a must-visit destination for any food lover.
If you are reading this, you are the planner in your group. And you rock. You’re not going to be like all of the other tourists who blindly go to the restaurants on the main plaza that have more customers than they know what to do with. No, you are going to seek out the worthy, the tasty, and the intimate where your presence will be noticed and appreciated. And you’ll find this if you walk just a few dozen meters up the hill and round the bend: Trattoria Ghost. I might have dreamed it. After trying a first place that was highly rated but now closed, I opted for one of the busy places on the main plaza. They had run out of food! I walked to the other busy restaurant also on the main plaza. After standing for 10 minutes it was clear this wouldn’t lead to a meal anytime soon. So I took a chance and walked up the hill in search of this mysterious diner, hidden away from the bustle of the tourist center. And I was greatly rewarded for my search. I was the only customer there, and the cook and owner both were happy to see me. They treated me to a complimentary place of fresh ricotta cheese, drizzled with honey and crushed nuts. They brought a basket of fresh bread which I quickly devoured with the cheese. This I followed with fresh ravioli. It was a magical night and I even translated my experience on my phone into Italian so the owner could see how touched I was by the experience. We shared a warm handshake. Don’t follow the crowd - find the Ghost!

The best! I’ve been here couple of times. For me it is worth to get the car from Rome and to come here to take a dinner. Not because of the uncountable choice or huge fantasy, but because of the heartwarming owner and the charming simplicity. “Ci penso io” means “I’ll take care of it” - and this is the motto of the owner. Stefano, the owner, will bring you his unchanging antipasto (appetiser) ricotta with honey and beans, after he’ll give you just some choices of the sauce for his best of the best pappardelle pasta, and one or two proposition for the second course (usually, little goat or buffalo meat). There no menu!!! Neither it is a place for cranky and picky tourists!! This is the place to experience home atmosphere restaurant. P.s.: not to miss the best tiramisù for ever. There no more true full of mascarpone cheese tiramisù in Rome. Only by Stefano!

(Translated by Google) Restaurant in Sermoneta, in the province of Latina. We ordered two platters (18 euros each) which, according to the waiters, should have fed four people, but they were a bit poor and perhaps enough for just three hungry people. Honorable mention for the ricotta, very good, almost sugary. The rest, however, is in the average of a good trattoria's cutting board, i.e. cured meats and cheeses of poor but acceptable quality (read: no more and no less than what you could find in a discount store). As a first course I ordered a "pistachio pasta", which arrived after a good hour of waiting (let's ignore the fact that customers who arrived after us were served first). The menu read "pistachio pesto, cherry tomatoes, crispy bacon and Tropea onions". I received a very greasy yellowish paste (floating on at least two tablespoons of oil) with chopped pistachios, no visible or palatable pistachio pesto and an abundance of onions sagging in the above oil, all surrounded by a few cherry tomatoes cut like this, in half, a little senseless (perhaps added to lengthen the broth of the dish description) and almost certainly thrown into the pan when the pasta is finished cooking. The crispy bacon is still missing. It is clear that no pistachio pesto was made or used, therefore the dish does not even comply with what is described in the menu and the rating I give is mainly due to this. And to think that I had chosen the dish trusting some beautiful greenish dishes that I saw served at other tables. The waiters are young and kind, but the courses were not synchronized, neither for the first courses nor for the desserts, leaving some embarrassment about the wait. Small misadventure: we ate outdoors under the umbrellas. For a moment it was found necessary to close them, because the wind was rising. Then, we got up and watched the umbrellas close. If that wasn't enough, the wind died shortly after and the August sun returned hotter than ever after a few minutes. The complicated opening mechanism of the umbrellas dissuaded the waiters from reopening them, thus leaving us to simmer for the rest of the morning. Some diners had to take refuge in the shade for most of their lunch, sitting on a bench that was close to our table.
