Pub
The White Horse, a charming pub nestled in Pontneathvaughan, is the perfect spot to unwind after exploring the breathtaking Waterfalls. With amiable staff and efficient food service, it offers a delightful dining experience. Some may argue that the tables are slightly cramped, but this minor inconvenience shouldn't deter visitors from returning. The pub's hospitable atmosphere ensures enjoyable evenings of mingling with both locals and tourists over reasonably priced drinks.
We love it... hidden 💎 gem! Relaxing, cozy fire 🔥, friendly, and good entertainment on Sundays'! Bar staff are lovely and my cockapoo Sammy loves it! Xxx

Lovely local, friendly pub with a great atmosphere. Very welcoming and serves a great pint!

Great historical pub and courtyard, been spruced up a lot , looks great now.
Gaynor Jones — Google review
An unpretentious brewery tap pub that appeals to a wide range of drinkers. Courtyard beer garden lovely on a warm day/evening. Edit. Have knocked my rating down after a recent visit during a busy evening where I couldn't get served. I refused to stand there waving notes at the bar staff, but it seems that those that shout loudest get served.
Gareth Owen (Caerhendy) — Google review
Very welcoming and friendly staff and landlord. Had a really enjoyable night talking and drinking with locals and tourists. Drink prices are good too. Will definitely revisit if/when in the area again.

Great little pub in Pontneathvaughan, exactly what we needed after a stroll around the Waterfalls. The staff were very friendly and the food service was very prompt. I’d go as far as saying this was the best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had, the reason for the 4 star is I thought the tables felt a bit close together. But that wouldn’t stop me from not returning.

Small pub tucked away down a short alley. Serves locally brewed ales. Good to stop for a pint after or during a walk.

No food consumed! Lovely drink watching the rugby 😊

Traditional pub where we had a warm welcome. Serves traditional ales along with newer ciders etc but does not serve food so Google is incorrect at this time

Ginhaus Deli offers a wide selection of gins to try and showcases them on their Wall of Gin. It is a charming establishment that also serves an array of vegetarian options at reasonable prices. The menu may not be extensive, but the quality of the food is exceptional. Additionally, customers can enjoy delicious freshly baked warm frangipane as a treat. The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive, making for a highly recommended dining experience.
What a lush little place! After struggling to find a really good lunch on the main street (lots of nice places but mostly only doing cold food), this was a godsend. Not a huge menu but plenty of variety for veggie options etc, very reasonably priced, and we had really lovely meals both times we visited while staying nearby. The juices were surprisingly good, food was fantastic, and freshly baked warm frangipane an absolute stunner, wish I'd ordered extra to take home. Friendly staff were attentive but not too overbearing, so overall can't recommend highly enough!

All credit to the new team who have taken over. Chef trying new recipes and making gorgeous things like a breakfast scotch egg! Good selection of wines. Still able to get gins and the atmosphere is very disarming and comfortable. Dog friendly so win win!

Nice little deli. Very polite and helpful staff. Interesting gin collection too. Bought some lovely cheese and would like to return to dine in at some point.
Big Cheese — Google review
Gorgeous fresh food and great deli. For such a small place they have an incredibly extensive menu, as well as fresh bakes daily. I can't comment on the gin drinks (I usually come here for lunch when I'm working so can't really indulge!) but the coffee is top notch. The deli also has a really extensive range of lovely cheeses and charcuterie. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the decor is lovely and cosy. My favourite place in Llandeilo for either coffee and cake or a meal!!

A gem of a place with live music outside on Saturday when we visited. Great food, wonderful gin selection and good service. Not the cheapest but worth it...
Stephen Crick — Google review
Great place for Gin of course, the food is great and a sprinkle of music, what more could you ask for? Apart for another gin or two 😁 If your in town, check them out!
S J Huggett — Google review
The Ginhaus still has a quirky atmosphere, but the menu has changed. The beef and vegan burgers have gone and the lunch offerings look much lighter, mainly sandwiches and some specials, including chicken wings. Still decent quality, but could be better. Good attentive service.
Glenn Hamilton — Google review
A great selection of fanciful Gins, including some Welsh Gin, and amazing cheeses. The deli section alone is worth a visit.
Stuart Chinery — Google review
The cafe part has gone. Only the deli remains. Flows is in place now. We've just had the Full Flow breakfast and I was so impressed. The standard and quality of ingredients used 100% that with the impeccable service from Laura is just outstanding. Thank you.

I stopped by Cafe Braz while driving through and was extremely impressed with the staff. Despite arriving before opening hours, they noticed me and kindly offered to make me some coffee. This level of service is rare these days. The staff were polite, welcoming, and quick to serve the coffees. The beverages were delicious, with my partner particularly enjoying the Americano. A little bit of politeness and kindness can go a long way! I would give the staff here six stars if I could.
Very nice breakfast every single visit. I often call here with my family for a breakfast and coffee, parking opposite is easy even for a large 4x4. The service is excellent, girls behind the counter are polite and helpful. If anyone is new to Llandeilo and looking for a coffee and cake this would be my number one choice.

Great place, great food, great staff, one little problem, the downstairs wc is close, so it's virtually impossible for disabled people to get upstairs which are really steep and dangerous, especially for someone like me who suffer from ballance and spacial awareness problems, it's a nightmare. Would suggest closing the upstairs wc and opening the downstairs wc so able-bodied and disabled can enjoy your delicious treats.

Lovely little cafe/bistro, your made to feel welcome by the excellent staff and they make very good food. Dog friendly too.
chris sykes — Google review
Not a bad little cafe. 🤷‍♂️ Went for breakfast after reading the reviews, which wasn't the best or worst I've had to be honest but we left full...sort of. Coffee was decent, as was the hot chocolate. I probably would've managed an extra star for the review if they had managed to give us soft eggs like we asked for. But it is what it is and when your from London, cafés have a lot to live up too.

We came here for a coffee and some food, and it was perfect. Good selection, friendly staff, lovely coffees… spot on. And reasonably priced. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Such a lovely little cafe! The service was very quick, the food was delicious and the hot chocolate is amazing!! I enjoyed my lunch there and will definitely be back again.

I called in for some quick coffees here while driving through and could not be more impressed by the staff. Although we had arrived before the store is actually open for business, the staff while prepping to open, noticed us and very kindly offered to get us coffees. Not a service I have got anywhere recently. They were polite, welcoming and prompt with the coffees, and we were on our way again. The beverages were good, my partner particularly liked the Americano. A little politeness and kindness goes a long way! If I could I would leave six stars for the staff here.

Very helpful and friendly staff, good food and side salad at a reasonable price and freshly cooked. Also ice cream and take away . Good service with a smile. Indoor and outdoor seating. Location with parking adjacent near the church and opposite a small park with shade. We will return, this was our third visit, breaking a journey.

This was my first visit to this cafe, and I was very pleasantly surprised! I happened to be passing, and called in for a coffee. The quality of the coffee was excellent, and my slice of cake was also enjoyable. The 2 young people who served me were friendly, welcoming and courteous, and the outdoor table, although on quite a narrow pavement, was also pleasant. I will definitely be calling in again.

Bakery
Pitchfork & Provision is an autonomous craftsman bakery and café nestled in the center of Llandeilo Carmarthenshire. Their core principle revolves around utilizing high-quality, locally sourced ingredients that change with the seasons. The establishment operates throughout the entirety of Saturdays and Sundays. The ambiance is pleasant, maintaining a tidy and sanitary environment. Its convenient location is just steps away from the main shopping district.
Superb cappuccino this morning, really good, strong and in a modest sized cup, not like some places where you get served coffee in a soup bowl! The sourdough toast was served on a dinner plate with plenty of lovely butter and sharp Seville marmalade. A treat if you’re really hungry. I didn’t find the prices too expensive, not for such an artisan bakery, with clean, pleasant surroundings and attentive staff. Will definitely be going back with friends. And family👍😁 Went again 12th April 2023. Had avocado on toast with a poached egg, and a cappuccino coffee, £12 in total. The egg was a little bit too runny, I like the white cooked, but in all it was fresh and tasty. Very nice.

Nice setting, very clean and neat. Handy location just off the main run of shops. Good food but a bit of an odd menu. Service was a bit slow. No dogs allowed inside but fine outside. Bread looked lovely.
Jo Patterson — Google review
Really good lunch. Tasty full breakfast and moreish sourdough toast and jam. The doughnuts! Mine was lime curd and coconut. Never tasted the like of it.
Jeremy Holifield — Google review
Lovely coffee, very tempted by cakes but was off to lunch. Have eaten there before always fresh and delicious.
Christine Toner — Google review
Fabulously silky smooth cappuccinos and light and crunchy almond croissants! A lovely little breakfast treat pre-walk. (Also they now have an in-house deli, very dangerous for my wife and I) When we finished our walk to the castle, on our way back to the car, we popped back in for their sausage rolls! Oh my, they were some of the best we’ve had. Light and flaky pastry & the filling had a little chorizo zing. We’ve been here many times and they never disappoint! Try their sourdough’s, yum!
Piers Caswell — Google review
The worst food I have tasted. Tiny bacon, beans were haricot beans in tinned tomatoes, greasy sourdough bread, awful sausage. Coffee was nice but only half a cup. Very expensive, 2small breakfasts 1 bowl cawl. 1coffee and 2 cups of tea £45.50 . The quality was poor and we shall not be retuning. The presentation was also absent. On the upside the fried potatoes were at least edible.
Barabara Johnston — Google review
The food was most unpleasant. A poached egg should not be hard. We certainly won't return for food or coffee. The coffee was nasty too. Big shame because it looked like a lovely place to eat.

During my second visit in three days to the coffee house Diod, located in Llandeilo, I decided to try it out as it is relatively new. The staff was amiable and provided prompt service, with the option of takeaways also available. Indulging in their delectable selection of cakes, which included some gluten-free options, along with light snacks, proved to be a delightful experience.
What a gem of a place we stubbled across this cafe by mistake the food was amazing the deco and atmosphere is very Bohemian and trendy love the place

This was our second visit in three days. As we were in Llandeilo we thought we would try Diod as it is quite new. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Takeaways also available. It's a coffee house serving a selection of very nice cakes (some gluten free). And light snacks. I had leek and potato soup the first day and Robert had a chicken and ham ciabatta. And second visit I had Welsh Rarebit and Robert had cheese and ham ciabatta as soup had all gone. The bread is lovely and fresh and ciabatta comes with some crisps and side salad. My salad was different from the usual and had chopped strawberries and blueberries. Oh and we took a huge slice of orange and ginger cake home. They are open 7 days a week closing at 3pm on Sunday.

Hiya Diod Love coming for a coffee and a treat but perhaps your opening times need to be updated?Checked online before coming on Friday and expected 6pm closing time. Arrived at 4:55 and told that it was closing time. So disappointed 😢 but still worth 5 stars. Maybe 4.9999😁
