I visited Signé Jeanne for a quick lunch and was disappointed. If you order something that can fit on a plate, be prepared to wait as the portions are large. However, this is actually a positive aspect as the quality of the food is excellent and it does justice to Belgian cuisine. The restaurant was fully booked when I tried to make a reservation due to it being near the end of tourism season, but they were kind enough to accommodate us the next day.
Very good food overall everyone was very impressed, quite from a friend ‘this is the best burger I have ever had’

we had to book for the next day, it was the day before the last day of the tourism season and this place was fully booked. they were friendly enough to accommodate us the day after and have given us a perfect closing night for 4 adults and 4 children. when in doubt and in the region i'd recommend this for sure.

Went there with a group of 10 people. Staff didn't speak much English, but they were very friendly and patient. The food was perfect, and we only had to wait a little over 20 minutes for them to prepare it, we even got some snacks on the house while we were waiting. Definitely recommend it!

We had breakfast here. The portions were very big and tasted fresh. Price/quality ratio was ok.

The city itself is beautiful. And eating and drinking at this place makes experience more wonderful. You see picturesque buildings, expensive bikes and nice people around you while eating your steak. And I can recommend “Tripel Karmaliet” to anyone who wants to have a nice beer.

I went here for a quick lunch. Oh boy what was I wrong. If you order something here which fits on a plate then you’re definately going to be there for a while, and that is a good thing! The portions are on the large side. Normally big portions hurt quality and taste. But that is not the case here. Quality here is excellent and they make Belgium Cuisine proud!

Delightful place in a quiet corner of the town. Big portions and solid choice of options from the menu. Comfortable seating and reasonable cooking time
Dorin Moise — Google review
Delicious food, worth it's price. And kitchen is open also between 15 and 18, while almost all other restaurants are only serving drinks.
Marta van Gastel — Google review
Good food, the steak was good and the beef burger very delicious, pricy but delicious.
Salvia Jolles — Google review
You can choose between different cattle breeds and very good pieces of meat. Wich were perfectly cooked.

Everthing what could go wrong went wrong. Food was oké, but they have a hard time to make your steak in the right way. Food came late for most om of us, forget my meal as well. Ain't going to eat there ever again
Vedat Ilan — Google review
Service is a bit slow but considering the quality of the food and how tidy clean everything is, it's understandable. Everybody is very friendly, has a nice terrace with view to the place. Even the salad was amazing!

Pizza restaurant
La Stradella is considered one of the top dining establishments in this town, although it may not be the ultimate pizza destination. The staff members were generally pleasant, but there were a few areas where improvement was needed. For instance, one dish had a lengthy delay and there was difficulty in getting additional drinks ordered. Some chairs had food residue on them and the decor appeared somewhat outdated.
Delicious, well-portioned pizzas - with fresh toppings! I had the prize-winning Burnout pizza, and found it very good. Highly recommended for good Italian food in the area!
Mike Piff — Google review
I have never been to Italy but I ve been in many Italian restaurants around Europe. This Italian restaurant is great personally. We ate rigatoni and I can say that the portion is generous and the taste is top! Fully recommended.
chris jj — Google review
The food is as expected. The waiter wasn't motivated at all. The cappuccino was actually coffee with whipped cream.
Piet Piraat — Google review
It's probably one of the better restaurants in this town. Not the best pizza I ever had, but it was pretty decent still. Staff had a pleasant demeanor but did leave some things to be desired. One of the dishes took a long time to arrive, might have been forgotten, and also, we had to really flag someone down to order additional drinks. There were food rests on some of the chairs when we sat down. Decor a bit outdated, but I still had a great time with fantastic company.

Deserves much more than 4.1 stars! Delicious carpaccio, diavolo pizza and trois formage rigatoni. Topped it off with creamy ice cream. Really, really good Italian food. Super friendly service, nice atmosphere. Would defo come back soon!
Eelco Schuller — Google review
The pizzas were great! It was pretty busy but they had a table for us for an hour. which was more than enough time as the pizzas came 15 minutes after we ordered it. Would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic wood oven pizza with very good prices. Huge selection on pizzas. Highly recommended!
Jetlover X — Google review
Great pizza, would recommend.
Martijn de Man — Google review
Food was very decent. Had a carbonara pasta myself and it was outstanding. Others had the pizza with salmon and salami which also tasted very good according to them. The Lambrusco was a fine wine. The service could've been better but wasn't bad. Recommend but I'm sure there's better food elsewhere in town.

Chez Henri - Restaurant Ardennais is a fantastic dining spot that offers delicious dishes with delectable sauce. The establishment ensures allergen information is well-documented, making it a safe haven for gluten-free diners. However, they unfortunately do not have gluten-free options for their aperitif and bread served with the escargots. The hostess at Chez Henri is extremely friendly and goes out of her way to communicate in Dutch.
A nice find. Good food. Huge portion!

(Translated by Google) Nice place to eat! Very nice restaurant! Menu is not big, but everything is so delicious! Trout Ardenese was one of the tastiest fish dishes I ate! Also wild bore stew and deer steak was super tasty. Ftites were golden crispy! Very friendly, nice and fast service! Better to reserve, as it was full! Wilk come back!

(Translated by Google) We have reserved for 7 people and were very kindly received. The restaurant is in an old building that has been recently and thoroughly renovated and tastefully decorated. We got a nice amuse .... a pumpkin soup. The starters as well as the main courses were excellent in taste. We didn't have to wait long despite the size of our group. The only point for improvement is not to use canned mushrooms but fresh mushrooms. The dessert menu is somewhat limited....perhaps also a point for improvement. It was a fun and delicious experience and we can definitely recommend this restaurant.

We’ve expected the food to be good after reading these great reviews. Unfortunately, it was not. Service was way too quick, which means it wasn’t freshly prepared and you can definitely taste that. Food wasn’t good. Really really overpriced for what you’re getting. I wouldn’t recommend going here. Service was nice though.

We had the three course menu with wild boar stew. A truly memorable dish. Simple restaurant with good service.
Maaike Gerritsen — Google review
We ate steak, trout and wild boar and it was very delicious. Only downside: No tapped water but total price was still fair but canned mushrooms in the sauce instead of fresh ones are not acceptable. Thus one star off.
Jens Callsen — Google review
The trout à l'Ardennaise is absolutely fabulous. My partner told me her wild board stew was fantastic as well. We get a free amuse in the form of a pumpkin-kurkuma soup that was delicious. The madam is very friendly and soft-spoken and speaks at least French, Dutch and English. Overall a great experience, well worth its price.

This place is incredible. We had the worst weather and due to covid we had to sit outside but the service and the food was so good that the bad weather did not mind us at all. So happy we ate here and the hostes was kind, helpfull and so much more!

I totally recommend it!! Fantastic food, great place to try typical food from the region (jambon, marcassin, biche...). Taking half a star for a bit of slow service and another half for not being able to pay by card.

Le Quai Son is a lovely establishment situated by the river, offering affordable prices for tourists and boasting stunning views. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, with an inviting atmosphere enhanced by a cozy fireplace during colder weather. The restaurant provides friendly service and presents a decent menu selection. Vegetarians may especially enjoy the croque monsieur without meat and the goat cheese bagel, both generously topped with cheese. Additionally, their cheese fondue is highly recommended for its delicious taste.
Very nice place right at the river. Decently priced for a touristic spot and a view like this. Indoors looked pretty as well. We ordered the croque monsieur without ham/meat and the goat cheese bagel, also veggie, and shared. It came with LOTS of cheese, recommend for vegetarians.

I ordered pork in chorizo sauce on 17.04 around 15:00 which was overall tasty but the meet was cooked as medium rare. I found this a bit questionable but tried to only eat the well cooked part, nevertheless the employees spoke very poor English so explaining anything to them was impossible. Now 3 days later I landed in the hospital with serious bowel inflammation and severe diarrhoea caused by bacteria that can be found in pork. Never had so much pain in my life. I am pretty sure it comes from this restaurant as this is the only different meal I ate compared to my boyfriend during the whole stay in Belgium, he is feeling well so I am pretty sure it came from your meat. Worst experience of my life honestly, thanks to you I will most likely become vegetarian and never eat meat again. Don't wish such a horrible and painful experience to anyone.

It's a very cute place with a good view of the castle and the river. We sat here at 22:00 and it seemed like this was the only "busy" place still open. The atmosphere is nice with a mix of relaxing and more up tempo pop music. Tap beer was tasty. Fine service. The menu has some variety of belgium beers. Price are reasonable, what you would expect. We would recommend this place for a late night drink.

Nice atmosphere in the resteaurant, the fireplace makes it extra cosy when it's cold outside. Friendly service, a decent menu and the cheese fondue i had was very tasty. If you look out the window you also have a nice view on the old castle of the town.
Ben Volckaerts — Google review
+ Nice location and view over the water and castle - Bad logistics and not enough staff. Ordering was difficult and the food took quite long. Also the wine was served in a champagne glass because apparently the dish washers couldn't keep up and they'd run out of wine glasses... :p + The vegetarian hamburger (the fake meat part) was the best one I've had so far. I'm usually not really into meat replacements and especially not the ones they put on hamburgers: they're usually to dry and lack interesting flavor. This one however exceeded my expectations: it wasn't dry and had very deep and interesting flavors. It didn't really try to mimic real meat, but just offered something that tastes good on a sandwich. - The bread was toooo dry (so disappointing cause the veggie burger part finally wasn't dry :p) - The fries weren't tasty either - The meat of my company was over cooked and not tasty - 48 euros for 2 not so great hamburgers, 4 drinks and not so great service

I thought the meat was kind of dried, the rest was good tho. Consider that place is usually full so service takes some time, but they were nice

Best terrace in town, quiet covered outdoors terrace. Food is average but decent and prices are okay. View to the abbey makes it unique.

A brilliant view into the castle to start with. The servers very kind and quick. Food was marvelous! Beautifully presented, good point and warmth for the meat, large portions as well. Price is within range and definitely worth the quality!

Located in La Roche-en-Ardenne, Belgium, Restaurant L'Apéro is a highly recommended dining establishment. With a perfect score of 5/5 for food, service, and atmosphere, this restaurant truly hits the mark. The dishes on offer are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The speed of service ensures that diners can enjoy their meal without any unnecessary delays.

Such a great restaurant. Dishes prepared with lots of attention, friendly service and good g&ts and wines. We tried almost all the places in La roche but this one we liked the most.

This was our first dinner when we arrived in town because the menu looked very interesting, with a lot of local dishes on the menu. The interior is nice and simple, the service was fast, the dishes were packed with flavour with unique ingredient combinations. Even tried the apple crumble dessert, which was excellent! The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend!

We had dinner after we arrived in La Roche en Ardenne, and this restaurant hit the right spot. Dinner was fantastic both in terms of taste and presentation and also speed. We were given a very cozy window seat to chat and admire both inside and outside the restaurant. We loved he experience and enjoyed the food here. Highly recommended is to try the local beer, which I ordered twice because I loved it so much.
Vineet Varman — Google review
Cozy restaurant with a good menu and good prices. The stew and boar stew were amazing but the fries were underwhelming. You want to dip your tasty stew sauce with some good Belgian fries and not with soft small cheap fries. Other than that nice place!
Lucas R — Google review
Excellent meal, we had the menu gourmandaise, 4 courses for 38 E. Croquettes for starters were excellent , fish soup really tasty. Main courses were wld boar stew and a beefsteak kebab, both superb and followed by chocolate mousse and blackcurrant sorbet (which would actually have made an excellent combination dish) friendly and relaxed service and really nice atmosphere. Excellent!

Amazing evening! The team was friendly and pleasant. The food was beyond all expectations! What I expected was simple French home cuisine, but actually every dish we ordered was well thought and filled with with plenty of textures and flavours. Everything was served with the great care and love. I can recommend the menu Eau a la bouche. Sorbet cassis is a hidden gem to die for!

Not as expected. Service was not at professional level. Reasonably friendly but not hospitable or especially warm/welcoming. Food amount was decent, quality was medium low. Location was small, interior not up to standards in the village In comparison to costs you dont get your worth. Would not recommend.
