This restaurant is an oldie but goodie. They still serve the same taste of foods they have been serving since I was a kid. The place is a bit old and maintained but is not not updated for the current trends. It still looks almost the same as it when when I first visited this place about 2 decades ago. By the way, they have WiFi now by the way so I guess that's a bit cool now.

Just for the food affordability this restaurant is the best in Iligan ! for less than 1000 you can have 5 dishes and it's a super big serve ! trust me !! haha! they have the Giant Springrolls i've seen in my life ! Food is fresh but they don't have fresh drinks only in powder and soft drinks. I hope the management woul renovate the place as it's very old and dilapidated already !! Aircons are so noisy. and they should adjust to modern style at least it's already 2023! it's very tacky and old style place, you could have make this restaurant a super nice one competing to the new restaurants in teh city !

The closest Manila chinese resto I can compare Lai-Lai with is Causeway. The chicken is uniquely superb.

The food here is great! Not pricey too.. Just wish they could update their decor more.. But it still has that "homey" feeling when you dine here.

This has always been a source of good food during parties since I was a kid and today, when I came back (after years of being in Manila), it reminded me of stuff in the past through what I ate. Still the same taste, still the same texture, still the same food I enjoyed back then. <3

Their liempo and chicken are one of the best but other than that, such as kinilaw and tinola (fish) doesn't taste satisfying for me. Halo-halo sa buko is very presentable (instagramable) but isn't available every time.

Their Liempo is good. Also, their Lechon de Iligan is very good.

Below are my thoughts: Pros: - the fish of the day pan seared salmon was amazing, perfectly cooked! - very cozy, chill and posh place - staff is very accommodating and friendly Cons: - the chicken "best seller" was pretty average tho Globe LTE coverage is good at this place and they also have WiFi not sure what's the speed.

This is a hidden treasure in Iligan. As an extension of a residential house, Mariano's is authentically home-cooked. While they have a regular menu, you can always ask for their today's specials. Since the place is quite smaller than regular restaurants, make sure that you have a reservation.

SENSATIONAL! Chef Doi is a genius! Everything is unbelievably delicious! Mariano's has very nice vibe and a great family atmosphere. The staff and the chef very welcoming, and paired with amazing food you cannot go wrong! The buffalo cauliflower is the bomb! We ordered 3 plates lol. Their Truffle Chicken and Bistek are cooked to perfection and their squid with the spicy aoili is ridiculously good! If I lived in Iligan I'd eat here everyday! No Joke!

This is a great restaurant for those who are looking for that "lutong-bahay" taste. The place is cozy. They serve different seafood recipes, chicken, pork, and beef. The location though, is far from the city proper. Overall, it was a great experience, plus the owners are very hospitable!

Came here with a friend, and he ordered a durian shake as this restaurant is well known for its durian shake. He tells me that it tasted great, but since i dont like durian, I'll give their shake the benefit of the doubt. Their carbonara serving was generous but I didn't like its overall taste as I could tell that they used margarine to make the sauce creamy. Aside from that, their pasta didn't have any sort of meat on it, so you're just basically eating creamy pasta. I also tasted their cookies and cream shake, it was okay. Just the typical tasting shake that you'd get from any medium scaled restaurants, nothing too special.

I have only tried their Beef Randang and Carbonara so I can't really say much about their *other* food. I love their unique tables. Very artistic. 10/10. The Beef Randang was good but a bit salty for me. But I love how spicy it was. Their carbonara is good too but too cheesy for me.

Must try their durian shake, no pungent smell - suggestion from a non durian eater. Spicy level of their beef rendang 🔥🔥

The rustic vibe of the place is amazing. The food is also great. My favorite dish on their menu are beef randang and garlic con mozarella pizza. Edit: Cafe Ilaya and Iliganon has the same owner. And Cafe Ilaya is closed for the time being due to the pandemic.

We tried their famous Randang (Beef and Chicken) and Durian Shake. It was great. The establishment should provide adequate lighting on the facade for easy recognition.

I've already returned four times for their traditional Beef Rendang, still the the best ♥️
