I had a delightful day visiting Glyndŵr Vineyard with my family. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the surroundings were stunning. Instead of a traditional wine tasting, we enjoyed an informative discussion about the vineyard's history and wine. The meals catered to everyone's dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan options. I highly recommend taking a stroll through the beautiful garden during your visit. The owners were exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable.
Had a fabulous time at the vineyard. The ownerd are wonderful hosts and can't do enough for you. Food was delicious, as was their wine! I highly recommend booking and will definitely return again soon. Beautiful views to take in too.

Visited here for the vineyard tour, wine tasting and lunch. It was absolutely incredible - the food and wine was absolutely great but still, the highlight is the service. The staff are extremely friendly and informative and we can’t wait to come back. Extremely reasonably priced for what you get - highly recommend. Thank you

A friend of mine couldn't attend the tour so he kindly passed it on to my girlfriend and I. I'm not a big wine fan so was a bit unsure if I'd enjoy the tour but gave it ago anyway. My girlfriend and I had a brilliant time. Louis was hilarious but also very knowledgeable and the whole experience was so much fun and very interesting. I'd 100% recommend going.

Can’t recommend their vineyard tour enough, family run business and they make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The wine was beautiful and the food was lovely too. We had an amazing little day out here. Thank you!
abigail jones — Google review
Was our favorite venue for our wedding pre-event, which we had searched long and hard for. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience both in person and via email with the owner’s who were poor communicators and then tried to quote us a ridiculous hire fee of £2k + with no inclusions, mid week. The run around we received, lack of clear responses or rationale was really frustrating.
Jason T — Google review
Lovely location. The tour was not particularly informative - we were expecting to hear a lot more about the history of the vineyard, the manufacturing process and just maybe some more facts in wine. The llamas and sheep however were definitely a highlight. The food - the food was delicious, although being egg intolerant and veggie I didn't have many options, but the cheese and bread were delicious. I think my point with this is that I didn't get any options and felt that the money paid was probably not worth the experience. A really lovely and welcoming family nonetheless.
Emily Anthony — Google review
Had a great tour of the vineyard with my wife, which we both really enjoyed. As she was driving, she had a lovely elderflower fizz which she said was fantastic. After a walking tour of the vineyard we were treated to a lovely meal of local produce with more wine's!
Martyn Jones — Google review
Amazing experience volunteering to pick the grapes. Coffee, lunch and plenty of wine! Lush location and the family were so welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and made you feel so at home. We didn’t want to leave. Would definitely come back again

My mum and I had a girls weekend away and as we had booked to do the vineyard tour we also opted to stay at the accommodation. I could not fault anything and if more stars were available Glyndwr Vineyard and the wonderful family that own it would be getting them. The room was clean, comfy and had every facility you would need. It is set in a stunning location just outside Cowbridge, close to beautiful beaches and perfect for countryside walks. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, each of them went above and beyond to make our stay and the tour such an incredible experience. Thank you so much Richard, Sue and family, it was a real pleasure to stay with you! The vineyard tour itself I would highly recommend, the team look after everybody so well and you are provided with fantastic wines, stunningly delicious food and plenty of very informative and interesting facts and details about the wine, the vineyard and the family run business. Once again we thank you for our amazing stay. We will be back
samantha clark — Google review
I visited with my sister and parents and we had such a lovely day! The staff are like insanely nice the whole place is very beautiful. The wine tasting was really more of a talk about wine and the history of the vineyard but I actually think that works way better than a tasting notes kinda talk because I don’t really think any of the people there were the sort of wine buffs who would have appreciated that. Our group included and veggie and vegan and they made a big effort to make sure the meals were just as lovely. If you visit, make sure to look at the garden - it’s stunning!

Lovely cottages in a beautiful garden and vineyard setting! This was the perfect accommodation for our family of four visiting for a graduation at UWC Atlantic College. The beds were comfortable, great showers, and a well stocked kitchenette for coffee and tea and light cooking. Cowbridge is very close-by for any meals. The hosts were very accommodating with several special requests and really went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended for a getaway in this part of beautiful Wales!

Pear Kitchen is an exceptional cafe that offers a wide range of fresh and well-crafted vegan dishes. Their menu provides everything needed for a delightful lunch, with options that are both healthy and delicious. The carrot mango orange smoothie is particularly delectable. The food, including the quiche, is incredibly tasty and leaves one craving for more. Moreover, the cafe boasts excellent customer service.
A hidden gem in Cowbridge. Nutritious and tasty food at very reasonable price. The chocolate banana brownie is lovely, not overly sweet.

What a fantastic cafe. I had the cake and cappuccino. The cake was very nice but the coffee was 1st class. I’d put it as high as the best coffee I’d had in a long time, maybe ever. From looking at the menu and what’s on offer everything is fresh and well made. A menu that will give you all you need for a lovely lunch. Very nice customer service as well. How people will continuously go to cafe Nero and not to these independent cafes is beyond me. It’s better value for money and your supporting local businesses.

Was so happy to encounter this place on Google and be able to message with them through chat! Purchased a whole cake for my friend and was even able to pay extra for delivery service! Although I was outside the country they were very responsive and nice to work with! Would absolutely order from them again and apparently it was delicious too ❤️

Lovely, attractive, tasty food. Really interesting menu and they sell great bread too. I’ve eaten there twice and hope to eat there again soon. I visited with a predominantly meat eating friend who also enjoyed their meal.

Wonderful, tasty and nutritious food, lovely warm feeling cafe and super staff! What more can you ask for? Since going for this first meal (breakfast bun, turmeric latte [caffeine free] and 2 slices of cake - oops) I've been back using their takeaway service, and pleased to say it's super quick and exactly the same as eating in 😊 this cafe is a fantastic addition to Cowbridge high street, if you eat vegan food or not you'll be pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food!

Hare & Hounds has been on my list for a long time after a pleasant visit to their sister pub - Heathcock in Llandaff. The food was really nice and we tried two local ales as well. Absolutely love the crispy pig cheek and the sourdough! A must go if you are visiting Cowbridge.

Celebrated our first wedding anniversary here with an incredible meal. We had their three course Christmas menu and boy was it absolutely stunning! The service was incredible, and the staff were very attentive during our entire visit. Neil Williams — Google review
First time for us to be ushered upstairs. Somewhat bewildered and a little agitated at the length of time we waited for the main course, (Sunday Roast) and when they were served, more disappointingly, the roast dinners were all only just luke warm, the portion of parsnips, a side dish of £5, had no familiar comforting caramelised colour, and were almost cold. The portion control on the lamb and beef was very meagre, beef, 1 slice, was sinewy and difficult to cut, however the pork dish had two decent slices and had excellent flavour with a little stuffing and excellent apple compote. The meat juices liquor or gravy or jus or whatever it was supposed to be, was unremarkable, almost watery. The serving team were first class, apologising at one point for the length of time, and it pleasing to hear one of them enquiring how our meals were. She was sorry to receive the feedback about the temperatures of the food and asked if she could get them reheated, we declined, we'd waited long enough, she mentioned she would feed back to the kitchen team and FOH manager, we sort of expected further engagement from one of the senior team members but nothing further. It was also a little disappointing to have the automatic 12.50% service charge added to drinks ordered and mainly drank at the bar counter downstairs and carried what was left in the glasses upstairs ourselves. £34.50 for two apple juices and a 2 and 4 year old childs portions of dinner, felt the polar opposite to bargainous. Weve always had very memorable and very enjoyable experiences here in the past, but they were not equalled today for us. Forage kitchen a mile or so away offers much better value for money, superb quality and presentation, excellent meat quality and portioning and additional veg complimentary on request in a very bright, airy, relaxed and contemporary setting. It will be Forage for us in the future im afraid team but we were very grateful you were able to host us this Easter Sunday.

Had a meal in the restaurant for my birthday. Food was spot on to be fair, compliments to the chef. The waiting staff were also very helpful. However, we left with a bitter taste as the management made us feel a bit uncomfortable while we were there. They do charge top dollar so I wouldn't really expect to leave feeling like that. Wouldn't go back

Really very good food. Varied but concise menu - which we appreciate. They had a very good Pork Belly as a special - if I could have had the steamed Brill as well I would have! Great to watch the kitchen at work - especially if you're interested in how food is created and presented. Great food and presentation - and service. There's some nice wines in the wine list - including a very good Lebanese red . . . Thoroughly recommended.

Came here for the the fist time for a Sunday lunch (wont be the last). Delicious, freshly cooked, seasonal food in a cozy country pub setting. I had the Heritage tomatoes for starter, salt baked beetroot, sage and perl las gnocchi for main which was an outstanding veggie option followed by a love apple Soufflé for dessert (wow). My friend had the lamb dish which she said was perfect. Best meal i’ve had in ages, staff are friendly, great service, you can see why they hold a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide. Worth every penny I’ll be back!.

After our visit for dinner on the 6th April, I was very disappointed, the food has gone down hill - the pigs checks were cold, and the meat portion was a lot smaller than normal. The cheeks are normally a star dish on the starters menu which we have had many times, the scollops were incredible and this dish was very good, but then we waited 45 minutes for our mains to arrive - the duck was good but the hanger steak was cold and flavourless. On this visit the heads of staff were very abrasive and are normally very helpful, so unfortunately will not be hurrying back.

The indoor lodging at Vale Of Glamorgan Inn exudes a rustic and traditional ambiance, reminiscent of a charming countryside pub. Despite its location in the heart of a small town, this is one of its main attractions. The reviews from various sources offer overwhelmingly positive feedback about the establishment. Situated near the former Cowbridge Grammar School, guests can enjoy glimpses out of the inn's windows while relishing in the closure of the institution.
A classic, friendly pub with a great selection of real ale. I had a pint of Jemima Pitchfork which was much appreciated.

This place has a country pub" atmosphere even though it is in the centre of a small town - which is its main charm, I suppose. Otherwise the other reviews tell all and are almost entirely positive. It's just along the road from my old school: Cowbridge Grammar - what an experience. I can glance out of the inn window and gloat that the school closed long ago - and not before time! The inn gives me solace - and excellent beer. I shall be back soon for some more HB, cheers!

During a recent visit to The Yard Pizzeria, I was delighted by the opportunity to try their pasta dishes, which were both filling and flavorful. Usually, I opt for their pizzas as they are consistently good. The service and atmosphere were enjoyable, making it a lovely local spot to frequent. On another occasion, I savored the best pizza I have ever had - the Good Shepard 2.0 without black olives - and it was absolutely delicious!
Sat and dined al fresco last night outside @theyardpizzacowbridge a lovely little find on the high street. All the food was fresh and the service was fantastic. The sunshine made it feel like sitting outside a pizzeria in Rome! We had the Garlic dough sticks which were full of a pungent garlic flavour that smashed you in the face on these crispy little slices of dough. We also tried the arancini, but these were sadly not as good, they were very crispy but the mixture inside was very wet and mushy, still full of flavour and presented perfectly leaving us slightly underwhelmed. The pizza dough was fresh and crispy whilst still doughy at the same time, and the toppings were all high quality and again full of flavour, my only negative would be the sauce was a bit runny for my liking. Will return for another visit as overall the food was fantastic and less than £40 well worth it. Food Quality - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall Experience - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great food, friendly staff, possibly the Best Pizza I’ve had outside of Italy!
Holly Jones — Google review
Our experience of The Yard was OK. Our party arrived at two different times but on both occasions we were pointed in the general direction of the table by the staff rather than being shown to the table which seemed a bit odd. The food itself was nice, we each ordered pizza, but the service was slow and we had to wait a while to pay despite having the bill and trying to get the attention of the staff standing at the bar. Only when we stood up to go and get someone did someone else come over so we could pay.

The Yard is a really strong addition to the Cowbridge foodie scene. All pizzas freshly prepared in house with high quality Italian flour and tomatoes and topped with plenty of local ingredients. The huge wood fired pizza oven is the star of the show along with the lovely staff. Nice range of sides and pastas if that's your thing, but the pizzas are first class. My Pedwar Caws with Welsh cheese disappeared in no time. The restaurant itself is a good space and very family friendly and the food fairly priced. Just add a cple of Welsh and Italian gins to the menu and it will be perfect!

Lovely place 🍕 , our pizzas were delicious , staff were friendly , atmosphere was good and the decor ^ design of Pizza Restaurant works well when busy and if you bring small children. They do Comedy shows the last Sunday of each month and also deliver pizza as well as alcohol to certain areas close to Cowbridge! They can cater for Celiacs and Vegans. We are returning for the next Comedy Show 😜

Fables Ice Cream Parlour, located in Cowbridge or Porthcawl, offers a wide variety of delectable ice cream flavors that are simply stunning. Their menu is abundant with options, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. In addition to their impressive ice cream selection, they also serve aromatic coffees and specialty teas. The assortment of cakes available is delightful, ranging from custard slices to fruit-topped tartlets and more.
The lady's were so welcoming and friendly. Very clean and immaculate in there. Knocks spots off every other parlour I've been too. Gutted they are closing today but they do have a shop in porthcawl too. Turkish delight was amazing, my husband enjoyed the raspberry ripple and my children enjoyed the cookie monster and bubblegum

An unexpected surprise finding this little cafe. The coffee was good but it was accompanied by a miniature ice cream which was absolutely delicious!

Locally made Welsh ice cream. You just cannot imagine the flavours they manage to make. Different everyday. They truly are Fablas. Staff exceptionally friendly. Their ice cream is absolutely delicious and so very moorish. They also do the most awesome milkshakes. My daughter in law actually had a Percy Pig one. Superb place, superb ice cream. Highly recommended.

Why have I not heard about this place before? People should be queuing out of the door! A lovely little ice cream parlour. Service with a smile and very, very good ice cream. Without question this is the best ice cream that I’ve had in years! I would actually give 6 stars if I could. Highly recommended

Best ice cream ever!! We've only just moved to the area and have been wanting to visit ever since hearing about it. Between our party of 4, we pretty much had all the available flavours - and they were all amazing. Thank you Fablas, can't wait to come back!!!

Wow! Such a lovely ice cream parlour. Beautiful decoration, lovely coffee, friendly staff but most importantly, AMAZING ice cream! I would recommend getting the bottom of your cone filled with melted Belgian chocolate:)

We first encountered Fablas ice cream at an agricultural show, and have since visited the Cowbridge and Porthcawl stores: the ice cream is excellent! Staff are pleasant too

Fables make their own ice cream, which is absolutely gorgeous. Comes in so many different flavours, definitely spoilt for choice. They serve coffee & speciality teas. Cakes are lovely. Custard slice, fruit topped tartlets & much more. My dog can vouch for the ice cream, she leads us to the Cowbridge or Porthcawl Fablas shop to get a vanilla ice cream. Dog friendly inside.

The Carne Arms is a relatively new venture that has been making waves with its carefully curated 7-course tasting menu in a cozy country pub setting. The team behind the restaurant is passionate and creative, offering exceptional food that showcases local Welsh produce in a sophisticated way. Despite some initial teething problems, the staff's professionalism and impeccable service have left a lasting impression on visitors. Guests have praised the excellent lunchtime meals, generous portions, and friendly service at this beautiful and welcoming establishment.
Excellent lunch time meal, piping hot generous portions. 12oz was particularly good, as was the mixed grill and the ribeye. Very good friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Sorry, not a great experience. Were went along to support a new local business but some organising is needed.... We ate in the bar. Pretty setting with real fire. Nobody really seemed to know what they were doing. Bear in mind there were only 4 other people in the bar when we arrived..... Whilst I was ordering our food a waiter brought some bread and crackling to the table. Rest of group thought it was 'on the house' and tucked in, as I was only just ordering about 2m away. After a couple of minutes someone else came out and said it was another tables food.... After waiting 20 mins for our drinks and food (didn't mind too much) we were approached to ask if we had ordered. Uh, yes.. and paid.... oh, sorry, 'could you retell me what you ordered'. It hadn't been ordered, so we waited again for our drinks and food.... We had small plates. What a very odd mix of choices, some like tapas, others half meals, none really went together...and why serve delicious fresh bread with curry butter. At least give a choice. The curry butter was nice, but real butter would have been much nicer on lovely bread. Also reluctant to give us the bread as the rest of my party had already eaten the one accidentally given to us...about 30 minutes before the rest of our food.

First time at the restaurant last night for us. Really impressed by the menu, the staff's knowledge and their professionalism. It's a relatively new venture for the restaurant & team, with some teething problems perhaps... While we were there there were two drinks spilt over customers by the waiting staff, unfortunately one of those was a glass of red wine over myself (Brand new clothes potentially stained irreversibly), however the staff dealt with the situation impeccably. They were very apologetic and we're keen to cover the cost of dry cleaning etc. These things happen. It didn't spoil the taste of the meal 😊 The icing on cake for us was the fact that the restaurant allowed us to stop the night in our campervan in the car park too. This for us is a valued benefit. We would happily recommend Hiraeth Kitchen to our friends and family, and would love to come back in the future.
