Kilim Geoforest Park

Ecological park
Nature & Parks
Kilim Geoforest Park is a nature reserve with beautiful mangrove forests, lagoons and beaches situated in Langkawi, Malaysia. The park offers river tours departing from the jetty near Tanjung Rhu that showcase the stunning limestone formations along the northeastern coast. Visitors will have an opportunity to explore Gua Kelawar, a cave hill which is home to bats. Lunch at a floating restaurant and eagle-watching are also included in most tours.
Wonderful experience to see the beauty of mangrove forest and the formation of the islands. It's a best for nature lover. We got a very friendly and engaging boat driver and gave us a very exciting boat ride around the geoforest. But sadly it's raining on the day we went but still have a great experience.

Very nice mangrove tour 🚤 We got the boat rented for 2 hour tour - saw the bat cave, crocodile cave, eagle feeding, and fish farm (where you can also have lunch). It was quite nice and our guides/boat driver were friendly and did a nice job showing us around. Booked directly with the site for a good rate of 250RM (fits up to 10 pax).

It is one of the most beautiful places and tourist attractions in Malaysia. If you want to go there you can take a boat ride. Look for a mangrove tour. It can take either 2 hour or 4 hour tour depending on the package. Many agents are running this tour, pick genuine ones.

Great tour of the mangrove trees. Lots of wildlife! As part of making ecotourism more sustainable, our guide cautioned against feeding the eagles, lest they become dependent on tourists for food (already happening) & don’t get enough nutrition from the type of food that tourists feed (eg chicken skin)

We had one of the best experience in our Malaysia trip,You have to travel a little far, so book a car by grab, Simply a must do if you're in Langkawi - it's the best activity on the island. It's around 350 ringgit for whole boat, The fish farm is not really good but the eagle feeding is ethical (NB you don't physically feed the eagles, you watch them feed in the river), and along the river we saw monkeys, lizards and snakes. All in all, a terrific experience. There was a floating restaurants selling sea food and chickens dishes, we enjoyed a lot, it’s worth every single penny

Quite lovely nature park. The bat cave is a quick stop but quite nice to see. There’s also another cave the boats can go into and a bunch of curious monkeys there. Then the eagles are quite beautiful, a 10 minute stop and they feed them some chicken skin to get them diving. The one thing that was a waste of time for me was the fish farm. Not really interesting and a bit too touristy. Our boat driver was quite knowledgeable about much of what we saw. For me, 2 hours is plenty but if you like exploring then get the 3 hour tour.

Far more beautiful and exciting than expected. The boat rider allowed our kids to drive few minutes and they loved it. The eagle feeding was spectacular and beyond words. The rider explained various mountains as well.

We had a great time with the amusing boat driver and introducer, but our experience was marred by the rude security guard at the entrance. We needed to drive our car into the boat arrival area to pick up our seven-month-old infant, but the security guard was uncooperative and scolded us

Wonderful n amazing our time at the Kilim Geoforest Park ... Truly recommended to join this cruise + its a local (Malay) community. The hospitality are top tier ✨

Awesome experience. The geological beauty of the place will remind you to the Greatness of the God. It's such a beautiful and scenic place. It's very different with other places in Malaysia. We had our boat ride near sunset, it was a very serene ride. Cove exploration, eagle feeding, visit floating restaurant and fish cages were main excursion but you can request other activities such as snorkeling and picnic at private beach.

One of the must go places in Langkawi. If you have time, highly recommended to take more than 3 hours package so that you can experience swimming at one of the beachfront facing Andaman sea. For my family and I, the highlight was eagle watching and the boat operator gave them chicken skins and you can watch how the eagles feed on the skin, what a view to watch with your eyes! Plan your trip early so that you avoid when the water level is high at noon, you may not be able to enter the crocodile caves. Also, if you plan to eat at the fish cages restaurants, suggest you find out waiting time because it can be very long wait for you.
Irwan M — Google review
Worth the money for the boat ride. Got to see eagle feeding, Gua Kelawar (cave full of bats), stop at a beach for swimming and river cruising. The boat driver is very friendly and knowledgeable so it's fun to listen to him.

Good knowledge provided at official website, but lack of briefing before the tour started and lack of explanation during the tour. What a waste of resources. Operation and ground field staff unable to catch up with the standard to let tourist has a good experience on this Unesco site. We took 4 hours tour end up 3 hours already finished as we didn’t swim & play at beach.

Not to miss experience in langkawi. We took the 2 hour boat and it was amazing. However, in terms of ticket pricing, I felt cheated because the app is rm130 cheaper than walk-in booking. This is not stated in the app. PS: Have to book from app only 1 day before, so it's better to just book from there instead of walk in

Azir Aziz (@ansxcursion) and the Mangrove tour group were amazing! Kayaking through the Kilim GeoForest was something akin to paradise. We were so fortunate that Azir was able to show us a new route that took us to the Eagle feeding spot, through the Mangroves and low tide area to see colourful crabs, and past the curious macaque monkeys (we even saw a sleeping viper). It was a beautiful day out, and it is 100% worth doing! We would totally recommend Azir, as he goes above and beyond for your group. Azir made us feel so welcome and well looked after. He is a very experienced guide with excellent facts and knowledge of the area. To top it off he ensured that we got to spend some time at a stunning beach and then got home safely. A day to remember!

This park is definitely worth a visit. It is comparable to Vietnam's Halong Bay except this is much cleaner. There are many tourist attractions that you can go see such as crocodile cave, eagle feeding, floating fish farms, private beaches, mangroves and more. There are tour boats that will give you a taste of each.
Dwight — Google review
Boat ride, mangrove tour, eagle feeding, bat caves excursion - all in within 2-3 hours tour (depending on which package one chooses), what else can you ask for? Not regretting one bit as the experience was exhilarating especially for the little ones. If you get a good boat captain, one might get the chance to manoeuvre the boat as well 😉

One of my best decisions to visit this mangrove tour. Thanks God that the weather is amazing during my time. Those kind stuffs also help me to keep my luggages without charging. Rmb to check tide season before coming here bcs there are some places which u cannot access in high tide such as bat caves and crocodile caves. Which is very unfortunate for those ppl who prepared for long times to see this. They provide private and sharing tours. There are many packages included according to visiting hours. For me, I personally recommend 4-hrs tour with lunch. You can enjoy the strong wind and minor waves in Andaman open sea. Can go through mangrove path to watch swimming monkeys, go through crocodile cave. Having lunch at floating fish farm and look around the nature. What an amazing experience to relieve stress after hectic life.

Outdoor Activities
Langkawi Wildlife Park is a well-maintained animal park spread over 5.5 acres, featuring aviaries and animal exhibits. Visitors are able to take part in guided tours and feeding sessions with a variety of animals including rabbits, ostriches, porcupines, flamingos and more. The enclosure sizes for mammals could be bigger but overall the experience is enjoyable for children at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and helpful in guiding visitors on what to feed the animals.
Actually this is one of the best animal park in Malaysia, clean and minimal smell. A lot of feeding section for rabbits, ostriches, porcupines, flamingo and more. Although I would prefer if the enclosure were bigger for the mammals. But overall is good for the children. I think the price is reasonable, after all they have animals to feed during weekdays when the crowd is lesser. I like all the staffs friendliness and helpfulness in guiding what to feed the animals.

We had really fun time visiting this place. Lots of activities and very informative. Their staff are all well trained and can answer all my questions.. only 1 thing though.. I asked if these little birds are parakeets, they said "budgie". Actually parakeets and budgies are the same only the American calls them parakeets while Australian calls them budgies. No big deal.. The cafe inside is also nice. Their toilets are a class above.. bravo! I will say the money spent for the tickets were well worth it! Definitely recommended. Oh.. don't forget to ask for soft copy when you buy the photos that they took of your family. They'll give access code to download those photos.

It was a nice and lovely place. Kids can enjoy it peacefully there. Even adults can enjoy it too. There are a lot of animals you can interact with, for example deer, guinea pig, peacock, turkey, swan, flamingo, horse, pony, snakes, parrots and more. The place is home for animals.. loved it because we can interact with the animals by feeding them, touching them, and carrying them. There are a lot of staff around the park, they are checking every single animal every time.. that's good...

This has got to be one of the best animal-themed attraction and animal encounter experience in Malaysia. Although they definitely can’t compare with other zoos in term of number of different species of animals, they are able to more than make up for it by providing many fun activities such as animal feeding, live animal encounter etc. The animals here are also kept in excellent condition, way better than most zoos out there. The staff here were also really friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. They were able to answer all my queries pertaining the animals in a concise yet amiable way. Furthermore, the fully covered walkway was very easy to navigate. Every section felt like a whole new experience which were all just equally as fun and entertaining. Some highlights includes the chance to touch a Burmese Python with your bare hands, having many different species of small birds stand on your palm pecking away on the grains, live encounter with peacocks, turkeys, ducks and many other birds that are all freely roaming around in the aviary section and so on and so forth. I reached quite late, about an hour before closing and thus was not able to fully experience the last few sections in their entirety. Was told that they will be adding two Malayan Tigers to their list of exhibits by end of the year, as if there wasn’t already enough reasons to visit this amazing place. Highly recommended if one is visiting Langkawi!

Had a lot of fun going here especially with my kids. You can feed a lot of animals inside 😍 My kids were very happy We went on a friday around 3 pm, we bought online tickets but not so many people so can also buy tickets on-site. It was raining but since most of the place have roof, so its not a problem, they also provide umbrellas in between places that was not covered. Love the toilets, they were very clean 👍🏻 Be prepared to spend at least 2 hrs here because the kids will be excited to give the foods and interacts with the animals. Will definitely come again next time we visit langkawi 🥳

First of all, it was a very clean wildlife park. The park itself was clean, the animals were clean, and there were fewer smells. The window glasses (wherever applicable) were clean as well, making it easier for you to view the animals. Very suitable for kids. The staff were friendly and polite. There were staffs almost everywhere. Prices were very affordable for this quality. Credit card (AMEX too) accepted here. Keep up the great work.

It’s a very small farm which can easily complete in less than 1hr however with all the fun of feeding and photos it will take roughly 2hrs. The best part is the whole place is well shaded and cool inside so don’t bother bringing umbrella whether rain or shine. And u can almost feed any animal in there. The greatest experience was to enter the porcupine enclosure and feed them with apple. That is priceless experience.

Beautiful open zoo, for a great interactive experience with native animals as well as a few foreign ones. The staff is very nice and all animals seem to be taken good care of. We had a lovely time that definitely exceeded our expectations🌺

I bought my ticket from Klook. Straight to counter and they’ll hive you the ticket & map. You can also buy animal foods. I love it here! We can feed and pat the animals. 🥰 But of course they will charge some animal that you wish to take picture with, such as snake. You can visit their website to follow the feeding / cuddling schedule. Make sure to buy the animal food!

My daughter enjoyed this place the most throughout her stay in Langkawi. Her favorites are the small animals (guinea pigs, rabbits, cats). Pros: Mostly shaded, animal interactions / feeding, helpful staffs, well maintained. Cons: Cannot think of any yet. Plenty of helpful staffs almost at every corner that can assist you or recommend what you can feed the animals with. Not recommended by staffs to go during school holidays as it will be jampacked and there will be less opportunities to interact / feed the animals (they will be fed by way too many other visitors). We went the week after school holidays and there are only little / no crowds. Recommended to buy tickets online as it is cheaper. You can exchange for entrance sticker at the counter with your e-ticket. Recommended to buy the feed (even if it's just 1 pack) so that you can interact with / feed the animals.

Special thanks to the manager of Wildlife Park who share with us about the park/animals and giving us a chance to join the feeding session, interact with the little rakoon & wallaby (Thumbs Up) Ps: initially when we ask the staff and was mentioned that they were not sure about the feeding schedule. Great experience where you can interact with the animal & feed them. Facilities are well maintained including the toilet & restaurant, a indoor cafe is provided with simple cake/sandwich (price on high range) Most of the place are shaded with fan, and basin to wash after feeding My son had so much fun and enjoy this place the most throughout the whole trip! Things to improved, a more variety of food provided/drink machine. I hope the park will still remain as amazing as it is and i will definitely visit again!!

day trip place for parents with children, some of us may have differing ideas about keeping wildlife in enclosures, we can see it from an educational point of view. Cafe is inside the park for a quick bite. Children activities are available, such as animal feeding and close-up with animals we would not normally see in tropical Asia.

Fun place. Be aware they sell only expensive Evian water there. One of the staff was nice enough to let us inside and feed the porcupines and it was really fun. I’d suggest you make 2 laps to fully experience and explore it. The park is located outside so it’s really hot.

A very well-kept sanctuary of wildlife. With its limited collection, a very fun and interactive place for kids and adults. The place is kept clean and accessible by pram. Also washing basin with liquid soaps in short intervals to ensure sanitary condition of the place. Would give it a solid 4.5 star and recommend to go. The walkways are also fitted with fan to ease the hot conditions during daytime. Some animals like wallaby can use larger space but the bird aviary and small ponds are in good condition.

I was very surprise with the maintenance and the completeness of this park. Very friendly staffs at different sections and along your path, and the place is well maintenance and very clean. It is very cozy with plants and shelther, not feeling sweaty and hot. I love how interactive the animals with human, super fun! Highly recommend to everyone especially family with kids! 👍👍

Visiting Langkawi Wildlife Park was a truly enchanting experience. The vibrant array of animals, coupled with the park's commitment to conservation, made it a memorable adventure. From exotic birds in lush aviaries to the playful antics of primates, every moment felt like a journey into the heart of nature. The well-maintained enclosures and knowledgeable staff added to the overall enjoyment. Langkawi Wildlife Park is a must-visit for anyone seeking a close encounter with diverse wildlife in a beautifully curated setting. An additional highlight was the opportunity to interact with the animals by feeding them. The park provides a variety of feeds suitable for different species, allowing visitors to engage in a hands-on and educational experience. From feeding friendly deer to offering treats to inquisitive parrots, the chance to nourish and connect with the animals added a unique and delightful dimension to my visit. It's not just a wildlife park; it's an immersive adventure where you become a part of the animals' world.

Guys, please please please make this a must visit in the list. From the outside, it looked normal. I was so surprised to see how well-maintained and so clean the wildlife park was inside. Kudos to all the team for keeping the place so beautiful and I could see the animals were well loved too, they looked lively and welcoming. You guys did a super great job 👏 I think I had more fun than my kids. Never got so close to the animals as before, such a fun-filled and unforgettable experience. Hope you all could support them by purchasing the merchandise items too.
Hari Hari Makan — Google review
It's more of a mini zoo than a wildlife park, as the animals they have weren't as extensive as some of the zoos from elsewhere. The place was rather clean and well-ventilated. There was sort of a dedicated pathway to walk throughout the area. They do sell animal feed, which could be fed during the entire walk. They do have mini petting area for kids and adults alike to get up close to certain animals. The place is more for kids as they would enjoy the interaction with animals.

It's a nice drive up the mountains. The views are spectacular from here in all directions. The tower when open was great to chill out and have tea served up there watching the sunsets. However recent visit there and was disappointed that the tower has been closed until further notice. Nevertheless good views from the road side still and well worth the visit.

Go there in the evening around 6pm and enjoy the view. Bring some dinner if you can to enjoy the cool weather too. There are some minor roadworks on the way to the peak. And it can be quite dark at night on the way down.

Decent view of the island for a morning sunrise not really worth it though in my opinion. Plenty other things to see that is much more worthwhile on the island, the whole top lookout area is dilapidated and needs so care. A bunch of local people sat and blocked access to scenic view points- seems they dislike tourists.

We drove up at 6:00am for sunrise in a hire car and the next day I rode my bicycle up at 1pm. There was no sunrise because it was so cloudy but the views were great we met two friendly macaques. I should have rode up earlier in the day because the heat was intense. However it was an enjoyable ride and I saw much more wildlife, including dusky leaf monkeys and a paradise tree snake (flying snake). When either driving or riding, beware the dogs that sit in the road.

Went early in the morning for a hike and was stunned to see the hiking trail infested with leeches which definitely made the hike much more challenging than it already was. The hiking trail was very evidently in bad condition and wasn’t kept. The trail up may somehow get steep and dangerous, hence it’s important to wear good shoes and no slippers. Some of the vines have thorns and it is better to be cautious. Overall an adventure for the adventurous!

Beautiful road that takes you up the hillside. Good quality surface, and not too steep - two of us on a little 110cc scooter made it up no problems. If you’re on the lookout for hornbills, recommend you stop along the way as we saw many more halfway up the hill rather than at the top, the viewpoints are more for the view and pictures. There are a lot of monkeys but we had no problems with them.

It's a beautiful winding road through the tropical paradise, monkeys line the sides of the road as do stray dogs (sadly) take some food for them if you can as they are actually quite friendly and definitely hungry! The mist does tend to creep in depending what time of year you go. It is an epic view from the top. Enjoy1

Galerya Perdana is an impressive exhibition hall on a small island. It showcases various awards and presents given to the previous Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun, and his wife during their lengthy public service. The museum spans two large buildings connected by an enclosed pathway boasting numerous possessions received over several decades. A noteworthy feature of this museum is that it celebrates one person's life dedicated to public service; furthermore, it has an entry fee of RM10 only.
Extraordinary to see a museum of this quality on such a small island. Dedicated to the long tenure of public service by Tun and his wife, the museum displays possessions and gifts received by the 4th Prime minister over several decades. Extraordinary to learn that Tun is president again even though he's in his 90's. Only RM10 entry fee and there was no one else there during my visit. This gallery is unlike any other I've visited, as it is a private collection of gifts and awards for Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad. There is everything from congratulatory medals to African carvings to Chinese pottery to classic cars to golfing trophies. The only common thread to these pieces is that they were all at one time owned by the same man. Many of the pieces were interesting, and the museum is well designed. The infrastructure has not been kept up as well as it might have been, but still an outstanding display. And I was amazed that the prime minister made a point of displaying all of these pieces for the public to view. In my mind, every Malaysian should make a point to see this exhibit as a part of recent local history.

I don't think I'd come back to this place again. Food was bland and tasteless. Food arrived within 15 mins when I was there at 8plus during a Thursday which was not bad. However I think the random place beside wonderland seafood is much better, prices there are much cheaper too. If you're in this location you could try this place out as I hope that the bland food is just a one off experience for me. Crab price is around 13-15rm per 100 grams. My total bill is 30for med prawns 12 for veges and 128 for 2 crabs. Worst salted egg crab ever. Only good thing is location of this place.

Food tastes good too and fish was fresh . Will come again if coming back to Langkawi .. Keep up good reputation !

Thoroughly enjoyable experience with delicious food, top quality, amazing taste, wonderful service. Grilled Snapper fish was MYR45 and was incredible! Noodles were delicious. Indonesian duck (medium size) was out of this world! Massive portion, more than enough for 4 people, not 1. Extremely highly recommended! Beautifully crispy. Very moist. It came on a sauce which was so tasty. Fried rice (medium) was a massive portion. Mixed vegetables were good. Melon and lime juices were very tangy and refreshing. Pineapple juice was a bit watery. The only downsides: Tablecloths has a few holes in it. Two young men were tasked with drying cutlery in the restaurant. I felt so sorry for them because this was a massive amount of cutlery. It made a lot of noise too, which they couldn't help. After 30 minutes, they were less than halfway through. They deserve a medal! Parking was roadside, about a minor walk away. Delicious food. Inexpensive. See photo of receipt.

Valuable price and delicious foods. Cooking style like simple. Top 10 restaurant in Langkawi as well. Potion for 9 peoples very big. We enjoy the foods there. Waitress not so good in introducing dishes. Service mark 7 of 10. Once we finish they very fast cleaning out dishes, I was thinking maybe serving free fruits but is not. Maybe can improve in future.

If you would like to eat some quality sea food, i can confidently recommend this place. We ate Tom yum soup, sharkfin soup, grilled snapper, lobster, tiger shrimps, curry chicken and I cant say a bad word from either. Once you order, you can choose what you will eat from the fish tanks, so the food cant be more fresh. The staff is really professional, they are always keeping a side-eye on us, to make sure everything is as it should be. I would highly recommend to try the black pepper tiger shrimp!

Actually the crabs, prawns and vege that we ordered were all good. Tried one scallop and found it overcooked. Informed a waiter and he simply said it was impossible because the chef used a timer and all scallops were steamed for the same amount of time. That was it. Nothing could be done. Apart from that, the service was fairly good. And the price was reasonable. Will I go there again? I might. But won't order steam scallops ever again.

Chinese Thai Seafood style restaurant. Situated right beside the beach and along the famous Cenang Walk. Food is good, fresh and tasty. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. Staff is friendly and service is quick. They open during lunch & dinner. We ordered fried soft shell crab, prawn, beef, chicken, bean curd, & vege. Very filling for all 5 adults & 2 children. Overall, we like it very much. Highly recommended if you are in Langkawi especially in Cenang.

Red Tomato is a casual Italian restaurant in Langkawi serving pizza, pasta and Mediterranean dishes. It's popular with expats and tourists alike and has a full bar. It's wheelchair accessible and accepts Mastercard and Visa. Free wifi is available.
Really enjoyed the food here. Because of COVID, the bosses had to let their staff go so the waiting time for the food is a bit longer than usual BUT ITS WORTH WAITING FOR! We ordered the specialty pizza, cheesy garlic bread, Salmon aglio olio, farmer’s ham and carbonara ham. Everything was delicious! 👍🏻

Absolutely loved this place so much that we actually went back twice! The vibe was so cute and the staff were absolutely lovely. The food tasted amazing and the juices were hand pressed by one of the chefs. The resident cat Adele was just the cutest little thing! Perfect little spot for a relaxed brunch.

I had a wonderful lunch experience at this lovely place! The atmosphere was perfect, with lots of plants that made the place feel fresh and vibrant. The food was amazing, especially the delicious pizza that I had. I was also thrilled to see that they offer gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was prompt. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a beautiful setting. I'll definitely be coming back soon

Red Tomato Langkawi is a delightful culinary gem that seems to be much beloved by its patrons. Situated in Pantai Cenang, it's a trendy restaurant known for its hearty breakfasts, and also serves lunch and dinner, offering an array of Italian and Western cuisine. The restaurant is operated by a Malay/German couple, Oli and Tanja. The ambiance of Red Tomato is relaxed and inviting, yet elegant. The indoor dining area, with well-stocked bar, offers a cozy setting for guests. Very friendly and attentive staff. The culinary experience at Red Tomato has a variety of dishes that cater to different dietary needs including vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The restaurant's breakfast menu is particularly recommended, with items like Farmer's Choice breakfast and Eggs Benedict being popular choices. The restaurant's wide range of salads are also highly recommended. For those who enjoy Italian cuisine, Red Tomato offers a range of pasta and pizza. One unique aspect of Red Tomato is its commitment to providing gluten-free options, including pizza and pasta dishes. The restaurant offers a selection of wine from Italy, Chile, and Australia, complementing the dining experience. Overall, Red Tomato Langkawi offers a diverse and delightful dining experience with its unique combination of flavors, friendly atmosphere, and diverse menu catering to various dietary needs. It's a place where travelers and friends meet to enjoy good food in a relaxed setting. Recommended.

I’ve traveled to Langkawi 3 years. Every time I travel. This is my go to place for just relax and chill, when I’m not doing any activity. You can’t go wrong with any choice of Food and drink available here. There is no compromise in taste and quality. The people who work here are the best. They take care like family. Damian, Yati & Maia. Thank you so much guys. Will keep coming back.

The place is gorgeous from the outside. The Team is very friendly and helpful. You feel very welcomed at the Red Tomato. The juices were good, the Greek salat was tasty and the Garlic Cheese Bread was also very yummy. We also ordered Margherita and Salami Pizza. They both were good but could be a bit more intensive in taste. The place is a nice restaurant for casual dining and come together

We went here for dinner and it was absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming and the carbonara and the chicken curry were made fresh and were so tasty. For me personally though the highlight was the whipped feta starter which came with homemade bread! Additionally, portions were great and the drinks were mixed well. If you have the chance, we can only recommend this place!

I will try my best to be as objective as I can as this is my first Google review. I was actually quite excited to come try the food here for dinner, seeing how nice the ambience was from the outside + the seemingly positive Google reviews. However, upon ordering, my family and I were met with an unpleasant surprise – it took nearly 30 minutes for the first dish to arrive, and another 15 minutes for the next (aglio olio). Upon reading other reviews of this place, I found out that apparently there's a sign outside the restaurant stating that the waiting time will be much longer due to the limited crew. So if you like to wait, this is the best place for you to carry out that hobby. I tried staying positive after waiting for so long, but when the first dish came -- lamb chop -- it had such a thick layer of oil on the top of the meat. At that point, I was still like, okay, at least it's still edible, and the potatoes were actually good. But then came the second dish -- the Salmon Aglio Olio. Actually, it was more like they served me oil and decided to be nice and add pasta in it. The pasta was SWIMMING IN OIL (please refer to pics attached). When we asked one of the younger waitresses whether this amount of oil was normal for the dishes, she simply said in Mandarin "yeah, it has always been like this". It was weird because the pasta itself was undercooked. The final blow was the last dish, the Prawn Aglio Olio. The waiter had come and place the dish on our table and I noticed that there was this huge, black furry object sitting nicely on the side of the aglio olio. Guess what, it was a thick layer of black dust. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of it because I was so traumatised, and also because I immediately called another waiter to ask what that was. He said "ohh, might be the dust from the fans above". No apology or at least an acknowledgement came from that original waiter too. The second waiter then came and told us that the chef will be recooking that dish. I'm not gonna accuse anyone of anything, but that plate of prawn aglio olio came 5 minutes after the waiter said it was going to be recooked (the usual waiting time for food is 30 mins :)). At the end of the day, this is mine and my family's experience at this restaurant. We cannot speak for everyone else, as this place has also had its fair share of good reviews. But what I have learnt from this lesson is to read both the GOOD and the BAD reviews and discern on my own from there. Thanks for reading if you see this, and I genuinely wish Red Tomato the best, and hope that they are able to hire more cooks, and not drench their aglio olios with oil anymore.

The food here is very delicious and perfect. The staff are very kind. It is recommended that if you want pizza, you can make an appointment by phone first to avoid waiting too long.

Had our first brunch over here at red tomato langkawi. Only downside is the serving time is slightly long. Rest is good, from service crew to coffee to the food served. You can judge how delicious it was since I am so busy feasting and forgot to snap few photos. Located along Cenang beach hence the price might on the above average end. Highly recommended if you looking for a cozy place to have your brunch :)

I was truly amazed by the food from this ordinary and hard-to-notice restaurant. Ordered : 1. Eggs Benedict 2. Aglio Olio Linguine 3. Two cups of coffee Took them some time to prepare the food. But it's worth the wait as everything was well seasoned. The garlic in the aglio olio was so perfectly cooked that I had never tasted something like this before. Good ambience and helpful staffs!

Staple of my Langkawi life experience from 2012 to 2017, and still as delightul now, despite the Pandemic. The menu is smaller now (as they are slowly recovering from the Pandemic economic impact), but their famous staples are still made available. Food is delish as always, Tarte Flambe and Pizza being forefront champion items. Tomato Soup is stupid good! So rich and deeply flavoured and umami. The cafe has a cosy, relaxed vibes with fat cafe cats around. And the Husband and Wife team are champion hosts! Such lovely people.

Laidback option for breakfast near Pentai Cenang beach with cosy interiors. This is a cat friendly place, and the owner's cat took a fancy to our bag. We ordered the following - 1) Farmers choice - Filling breakfast option with potatoes, mushroom, onions, tomatoes, creamy scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. Loved the combination of ingredients for a hearty breakfast. 2) Garden special - Scrambled eggs with mushroom, tomatoes and onion. Loved how creamy the scrambled eggs were.

We had the opportunity to check this delightful place out for a meal recently. It’s located in a fairly busy street with many businesses, but provides the privacy even with the outdoor seating, one would expect whilst having a meal. The waiter was helpful in suggesting vegetarian options. Service was fairly quick. We had cheesy garlic bread, aglio olio pasta, pasta de lemone, farmer’s fresh pizza with veggie toppings, followed by pancakes for dessert, one with Nutella spread and vanilla ice cream and the other with lotus biscoff spread and chocolate ice cream. It’s definitely a place worth another visit! So we did visit again, and weren’t disappointed at all.. We had mushroom aglio olio pasta, pasta al arrabiata and Farmer’s choice (a slice of bread, veggies and egg)

Cute place full of plants that give nice vibes Food is ok. I am a big fond of Eggs Benedicts and when I read the reviews I was excited to try these. Not bad to be in Malaysia however I cannot give more than 3 stars as the eggs were too cooked, the sauce was ok as the beef bacon. The juices are a bit too waterish, lacking a nice kick of taste which is strange for a place where tropical fruits are usually delicious. The staff is super gentle and friendly but the kitchen is toooo slow so three stars also for the service I am not excited to give this review because overall the experience was positive but if I have to give an honest review I cannot go above 3 stars.

Great find for vegans and vegetarians! We went here once for dinner and once for breakfast. There is a really good range of vegan options and dishes that can be made vegan. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and understood vegan. The German chef is a star. For dinner we had a vegetable curry and slow roasted aubergine - both delicious and the pasta dishes also looked amazing - followed by vegan brownies complete with vegan cream (specials menu so may not always be available). For breakfast we had a fantastic scrambled tofu with avocado on homemade bread. Mains are generally around 18-30 MYR. Best vegan food we’ve had in Langkawi yet!

Fine European food. Don’t order fruit bowl as it costs too much. The final price in bill was higher than it was in menu, I assume because of some “service charge”.

My friend, boyfriend and I came here together. We chose this place as my friend is gluten and dairy free and it had many options for her. The patio and indoor restaurant had an amazing atmosphere and was well decorated and comfortable. The staff was well informed, kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the menu had many options for us all. We were shocked by the prices. The drinks, food and dessert were very well priced and even felt cheap compared to many places we have been. We already have plans to come back several times before we leave the island. 10/10 experience!!

Restaurant located overlooking the Andaman Sea, with panoramic sea view and beautiful sound of waves breaking against rocks providing the most beautiful soundtrack you can imagine. Dinner reservations around 7 pm include stunning sunset.
Not regret to travel 30over minutes to come here.tl The fried squid ring is nice, taste. The king prawn in the salad is quit fresh. The other appetite forgot the name, also very nice. Balance with different element of ingredient. We have 4 drinks and some light bites with nice beach and sea view. The service is very good. The young boy serve checking our needs productively but not too frequent. Spend good 3 house here, well worth it and I am very happy.

Beautiful experience for late dinner. The food presentation was amazing and generous quantity. Stuff was very friendly and attentive. Views and atmosphere with life music made our night out very enjoyable and we would definitely recomend. Plus they take cards which is very handy, and also the staff called taxi for us which was super helpful. Yeah, the decor could get a little touch up, but what counts more is the food and people, and both were really good! Thank you🤭

Food is average but view are amazing. Possibly due to pandemic, if you walk in without a reservation you are likely required to wait 1 hour for your food. Live band kinda sucks. Essentially they are not saying the lyrics correctly. Overall would put it at 3.5 star. A bit pricy as well

Excellent dining experience overall, very good service by Lim, especially as I had requested a special sunset dinner setup to celebrate hubby's birthday. Food was also excellent, the lambshank curry and fried squid with salted egg sauce was delicious. Waiter service was almost like having a personal butler. It was a memorable moment and we enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended especially for couples.

The Cliff restaurant in Langkawi offers a picturesque setting perched on a small cliff off the end of Walking Street, Pantai Chenang. With stunning views of the beach and its surroundings, including breathtaking sunset, it's a haven for photography enthusiasts and selfie lovers alike. The food was lovely too, it certainly doesn't disappoint. With reasonable prices considering its tourist hotspot location and excellent service from the waiters, it's definitely worth a visit when in Chenang, Langkawi. During my visits, both for drinks and for a special evening with a party of 7 people the food was enjoyable, and we had no complaints. Watching the fire throwers on the beach added an extra touch of magic to our experience. Overall, The Cliff is a recommended spot for a memorable dining experience in Langkawi.

A wonderful romantic night by the beach. Before going to our table, we had a couple of drinks at the bar, as soon as we were ready, they helped us to move our ice bucket and wine to our romantic table set up with candles. The view was stunning, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. I'd highly recommend it for not only the romantic night but even for a dinner with friends. Happy to have found my new go-to place for whenever I'm back in Langkawi.

Perched on a small cliff off the end of Walking Street, Pantai Chenang, this cool restaurant offers a good vantage point for photography and selfies buffs an opportunity to capture the beautiful beach and it's surroundings including spectacular sunset views. As for the food, it is nothing to shout about. The deep fried soft shell crabs are too oily and not crispy ad it should be. Prices are reasonable for it's location as a tourist spot and service by it's mostly local crews was excellent. Recommended to give this a try if you are in Pantai Chenang, Langkawi.

Food was mostly good except the salmon pizza was too salty so we left a lot. Must order dishes: tiger prawn with egg yolk sauce and seafood fried rice. When we arrived the sun already set 😂 but still super chill to just sit there and enjoy the breeze from the ocean.

The place has great potential to improve their food quality. The view is awesome, with the sound of the waves, the setting sun, the crimson sky makes the the best location in Langkawi for a romantic dinner however the food let's you down. The drinks we ordered didn't taste good it's as if sugar was added with colours and some flavourings. The same goes for the burger, it was too salty and didn't taste palatable, only saving grace was the smoked duck linguini it tasted okay. I have had better food at other places but not as bad as here. Prices are reasonable if we consider the location, the decor is also nothing to shout about. Hopefully food can be improved in the near future. Come here for the view and not the food. The view is to die for, that's what the three stars are for.

Lovely restaurant with a separate little bar, both open air and set out over the sea. We came as we thought it would be a nice setting and a great place to watch the sun set and we certainly weren't disappointed. The menu is a bit more on the pricier side compared to most of the other restaurants in the area, but there are still some dishes under 30RM which we had as we were on a bit of a budget, and they were both really good. Cocktails were good as well. Even if you paid more its definitly worth it just for the view.

Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved The Cliff Restaurant in Langkawi! The seafood was hands down the best I've ever had - we tried the sea bass and crab and they were both out of this world. And let's not forget about the house wine - it was so delicious I could have had five glasses! But the real highlight of the night was the stunning view of the sunset. It was like something out of a movie. We were just sitting there, soaking up the beautiful scenery, and feeling grateful to be alive. And the service - oh my goodness, the service! The staff was so friendly and attentive. They made us feel like we were part of the family. Honestly, I can't recommend The Cliff enough. If you're in Langkawi, you have to go. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Had some really awesome fish curry there. Pad Thai was also quite awesome. Abit hard to get there at night since it was a small road turn in from the main road. Ordered some massive bbq prawns too but it’s abit dry, would be nice if is simply grilled with no seasoning and give us some soy sauce 😃. It was night time so we can’t see anything but hear the waves splashing.

The good, the bad and the refund! First the really good, a magnificent sunset view of rainbow paragliders and jetskiers, the good was the baked salt sea bass , which was really nice and enjoyed the theatre of cutting it up. The bad , sorry to say this but Do Not order the chilli crab, there’s not much crab , it’s too salty and the batter is soggy . It’s almost as if the chef wanted to ruin the crab on purpose and hard to imagine it could be any worse. Thankfully after a little discussion the owners kindly refunded the 90ringitt for the crab, which meant we still left with a positive vibe about this place. So I would recommend this place but just be careful what you order Ps toilets could be better given prices.

The view from here is amazing. The owner (lady) is awesome and nice. She ensures everyone is feeling comfortable with the scorching sun. The staff were all attentive and helpful to us. The pasta and some starters (calamari) is a bit pricey, and the pizza (it seems) the dough was super stretched that it feels like a biscuit already with not much toppings. We were surprised that their water refill is sparkling water! Hopeful to try some of their drinks next time.

Nice charming beach bar with indoor and outdoor seatings. Friendly owners. Couple from France and Ukraine. Service is friendly and food isn’t too bad. Tried the pizza and was lucky enough to try the owners Ukrainian beetroot salad. Drinks aren’t cheap for a duty free island but the place is at a prime location and can imagine good parties in the night. There’s also a pool table to knock a few rounds. Definitely must check it out for a drink at least!

Great place to watch the sunset over the beach. Amazing view. Live music is too loud, couldn't hear each other speak without having to shout. No vegan options on the menu so had to order a pizza without cheese. It was okay actually! Service is excellent as there is a lot of staff and they are attentive. Mostly western customers. They show Premier League football here.

Totally a big big YES to the atmosphere, the vibes. Super chill restaurant/cafe just next to the sea and there's a live band singing by the beach. Food are delicious but totally expensive, expensive and small portion. We ordered a pizza, seafood salad, eggplant, and a pasta. Pasta are really good, if not wrong it was spaghetti Pollo. If you're looking for a good vibe, chill place yea, definitely recommend this place. But if you're looking for good food, might wanna reconsider another place.

If you are in Langkawi.. you must visit this place. Beautiful atmosphere, nice music, good selection of drinks, great food. Their Cocktails were nice and a bit different then other pubs or bars. Live music was nice and the best part was it wasn't very loud, you can enjoy the music and talk at same time, not like other places where music is so loud that you can't hear anything else. Good job guys we will be back for sure. 😀

Dec 2023. Seated at the open-air second floor facing the beach to observe the sunset and beach goers. Lovely live music and drinks. Good place to chill and vibe to music. Wonderful location. We ordered the seafood pizza, seafood pasta and fried calamari. However the dough of the pizza tasted like those frozen ones and the seafood did not feel very fresh. However, I thought that the sauce for the pasta was quite tasty.

Disappointed with their Satay. No cucumber, no onions. Just the small sauce and the satay. Not sure why, but with that pricetag? Not worth it. Come here for the pizzas. 🌟 A highly recommended spot for pizzas. After done eating, get some duty free beers and sit on beach and chill.

Yellow beach cafe is lively and popular cafe in the heart of Cenang. The menu offers quite a large choice of vegan, vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes, what is perfect when you come with friends who are not vegan. We tried vegan dhal with “chicken”, vegan eggplant rolls, my friends ordered seafood pasta and a beef burger. All the food was delicious and filling. We tried homemade chocolate ice cream, what is also offered vegan and non vegan. Very happy to experience this cafe!

Service is second to none, the views - amazing. The food worth every cent. Came during the Rainy season and we (and others) wanted to sit at the front facing the beach/views - but the staff were so protective over all of us and advised us not to sit too close to the front so that we wouldn’t get wet or have sand blow into our food. We all listened and when the rain really started to pour we realized what their kind intentions were. They are known for their pizza and steak. So go for it! Prices for wine and cocktails are fantastic too! I’ll definitely be back <3

Was alright overall. The place is clean, located beachfront, and well managed. Service was good, friendly. The price per plate is reasonable but the portion is really small. We ordered pizza and fried calamari rings. Pizza size was small. Calamari rings was so less that we could count it, 9 pieces per serving. We've never been able to count calamari rings in other restaurants before. Makes it expensive.

RARE 5 STAR. Food: we had the pizzas and it was really good! The drinks were great too. Service: drinks were a bit slow but everyone was friendly. Environment. 10/10. I don't know how they got so many reviews above 4 stars but the food is really upsetting me. They got prime location, sunset facing that's good for relaxing. Some tables have minimal charge, table  for 4 is strictly for 4 ppl, thought it is a bit strict here but decent. But the food is way below average. Wings is 5x expensive than night market but made from meat long frozen. Pizza is ok as other stalls. Paste is a home made one. Burger is the worst with 4cm meat and two dry bread, even worst than Mcdonalds but charged you rm50. And the beer is warm served... Also you can feel they don't care if you come again or enjoy the meal because everybody would just walk in this best location. Worst dinner I've had in this trip. I would suggest to buy takeaway food from night market and eat at the beach. Or McDonald's if you prefer western.

Really nice place to enjoy a drink in the evening and watch sunset. The drinks are surprisingly cheap. They serve food too, at affordable prices. The pizza was quite good. I recently dined at this fine dining restaurant and bar, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance exuded a wonderful vibe that added to the overall enjoyment. The food and beverages were not only delicious but also presented with great attention to detail. What pleasantly surprised me even more was the reasonable pricing, especially when compared to lower quality restaurants along the same beach. This place truly offers a fantastic value for the quality of experience you receive My only concern about this place was the cleanliness of the restroom. It appeared to be in need of attention and thorough cleaning. Addressing this issue would significantly enhance the overall experience

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is well designed and elegant. The star in this cafe is the food quality and the friendly staff.

Haroo Korean Restaurant is a must-visit for authentic and delicious Korean food in Langkawi. The portions are generous, and the food is flavorful without being too heavy or oily. The service is top-notch, with accommodating staff who go the extra mile to ensure a great dining experience. The menu offers a variety of options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes that are prepared with fresh ingredients.
Was traveling with family of total 11 persons. Call the restaurant last minute if reservations needed. The owner was very friendly to make arrangement for us. Great food, great service, reasonable price with the food portion, quality food and service quality. Cold water, side dishes and an after meal ice cream are all served FREE! My family commented the best meal since we traveled in Langkawi for the last 2 days.

Good spot to try something different on Langkawi. Not the best Korean food I’ve had but passable. Friendly owner/manager. The seafood pancake is huge. The kimchi and complementary small dishes were good and they offer to refill.

Good experience. The staff was really caring, we even had a free ice cream at the end of the meal as well as candies. The food was mainly good, even if the kimchi was too sour to be enjoyable.

This is a Korean restaurant with a bar. Today, I ordered a beef soup and kimchi seafood tofu soup. It is very delicious and the ingredients are very sufficient. It is highly recommended. If you are tired of Chinese food and Malay food, you might as well try it here. It's easy to park! The proprietress and the waiter will ask your opinion, and there is also ice cream to eat. This store has been open for 14 years, so there must be something unique

If you’re staying one of the hotels nearby, you must visit this amazing place! super authentic Korean food with affordable nice price. Big portion, fresh Ingredients and service is on top!!!! Also their food is not oil or very very heavy. Spicy level is awesome, no sauce bags involved. I didn’t feel thirsty after eating their food, that means their seasoning is really impressive! They basically made a proper Korean food business here, including free ice cream in the end:) Will visit again!

In my opinion best authentic korean food in Pantai Tengah + Langkawi. The place where I'd regularly go to for my fix of korean food. Would be icing on the cake if they also served Samgyeopsal. Service is good. Waiters are friendly. Relaxed atmosphere to dine at.

Delicious food in Langkawi. They have an entire vegetarian page and can alter to make it vegan. The service is wonderful - kind and attentive staff and generous owner/chef. We had the vegetable bibimbap and japchae, and tried the spring rolls and pancake. Everything was great, hot, and fresh. I love mushroom so I appreciated the variety, and the noodles were so comforting. They give little sides without charge, including kimchi, which is a nice addition. Beers on tap served cold, and after we had eaten here four nights in a row (that should tell you something!), the chef/owner gave us an after dinner iced tea which hit the spot. Recommended for anyone visiting the island, so happy they are here!

I was shocked with the service and the food proportions and flavors. At first I thought that the prices were too high compared to other restaurants but after ordering, the proportions were enormous and delicious (the photos did them no justice) and the prices were well deserved. The service on the other hand was the best I’ve ever seen, they helped us understand the menu and recommended their best sellers (which deserved their fame), they were patient with us and had amazing communication skills with kids(considering we had a loud messy child) and they even offered free ice cream. Honestly I don’t see anything lacking in this restaurant except maybeitss remote location. I would totally recomend this place for friends, family and anyone who likes Korean food.

Great food and very service-minded staffs! I loved chicken bokkeum menu, the taste is just amazing! It's not too spicy nor too salty, it is just right. Japchae came with a lot more water than any other japchae I have experienced, at first I was quite confused but at the middle of the meal I realised that because it take quite long time for us to finish the dish, the noodle absorb the sauce and all the sauces were gone right before we finish our meal. It really made the japchae not sticky even we took long time to eat it 😁 My mom loves the seaweed soup. The taste is just right with tender chicken meat and generous amount of seaweed. We got complimentary soju-soda drink and vanilla ice cream. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!! Ps. The price is quite high but worth it. Not any higher than other places I have experienced :)

Superb food and service. Ordered the tofu soup, grilled squid and pancake. The portions were all so huge. The soup is really legit tasty and spicy!!! I could smell the pancake as it was being cooked. I enjoy my pancake crisper than most people. The service was really good, as they accommodated my request to re-fry the pancake more so as to get the additional crunch! And to top things off, they serve complimentary scoop of vanilla Ince cream. I give them 5 stars, so glad I came by to eat here during my trip.

Highly recommend this restaurant, the food is amazing! We had the Tukbaegi Bulgogi and Bibimbap for lunch, wish we could visit again. The service is really good and the people are so friendly. The complementary ice cream and plum tea were a nice extra to an already delicious lunch.

Very good service. Ordered the beef and also the chicken grilled set and felt taste wise it was average. First time I am eating the dumplings deep fried. Normally it is pan fried and finished off with steaming. The kimchi is good and the salad vegetables very fresh. The drinks are very expensive for Langkawi standards. They are about double the price if not more.

HaRoo Korean Restaurant at Langkawi is an absolute gem! As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for restaurants that offer a diverse range of options, and HaRoo certainly delivered. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff instantly set the stage for a memorable dining experience. I was thrilled to find a variety of vegetarian options on their menu, and the selection was beyond satisfying. The Tofu Bibimbap was an absolute delight - a sizzling stone pot filled with colorful vegetables and perfectly seasoned tofu, served with a side of mouthwatering Korean sauces. The Vegetarian Kimchi Pancake was another winner, crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. The attention to detail in ensuring that vegetarian dishes were not just afterthoughts was genuinely appreciated. The Chef, Ms. Isabella, was incredibly kind and even helped us customize some of our dishes to suit our preferences. Their staff's service was prompt and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A tip for fellow diners: Try the traditional Korean tea; it's a soothing way to round off your meal. And if you're new to Korean cuisine, don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations; they're more than happy to guide you through the options. HaRoo Korean Restaurant provided a truly authentic and delightful experience, and it's a must-visit spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The restaurant's commitment to quality, the friendly staff, and the delectable food make it a standout choice on the Langkawi dining scene. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Kudos to HaRoo for a memorable culinary adventure!

Highly recommended! We ate here for dinner and it was absolutely divine. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the vegetable pancakes, biminbap and tofu kimchi, all of which was delicious! The portion sizes were also massive. They also gave us some complimentary little appetisers before our meal arrived and some ice-cream at the end - what a treat! All the staff were super nice and friendly and the food came out so fast.

A decent bibimbap, with plenty of topping and relatively little rice, which I appreciate, but the vegetables were a bit oily for my taste. The portions are large, so it's best to come in a group in order to try multiple dishes. The banchan was just okay, but they offered to refill it, which is nice. The waiter was attentive. The space is open, airy, and clean.

Returning to this place, the dishes remained delightful, and the service was outstanding. I ordered the Korean soft tofu soup, which was excellent, and the slightly cooked grilled beef still tasted good. The added ice cream treat from the restaurant was a delightful surprise. Definitely planning to visit again for the overall fantastic experience!
