Restaurant
The Lake Hound is a relaxed and family-operated establishment that offers a wide range of breakfast favorites and classic comfort food. The rustic decor adds to the charming atmosphere. Notably, this eatery has made an effort to cater to vegan customers by clearly marking many plant-based options on their menu. The Zeasarsalat, pulled Jack Sandwich with Coleslaw, and pulled Jack Nachos are all highly recommended dishes.
Very inviting locale, excellent breakfast menu, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Friendly and very efficient service, this place will not disappoint! Sitting space is no very big but there extra sitting outside. They take reservations.

It was absolute delight to have lunch there. Went with my family, their service was great. I didn’t like a soup that I had ordered and the server replaced it with a salad. Wait time for food was little longer but have no complaints

Really enjoyed our breakfast meal. Really busy place highly recommend to make reservations. Must visit if you are in th area.

What a jewel we found!!! Awesome service, very efficient, family ambiance, delicious plates, many options to choose from. Burger and fish and chips are winners for kids. I wanted a quick bite to eat and got amazed with their butternut squash soup and flat Greek flat bread. An Espresso to go topped it off, for the ride back home. Kudos!!
Marce GC — Google review
Delicious food and great service! In love with the decor! I went out of my comfort zone and got the breakfast burrito and was not disappointed. My husband stayed with his typical order and got the cake and eggs. Pancakes were fluffy and eggs were just to his liking. We will definitely be back! 😊

Decided for this place over other options in the area because of their dietary options. We went on a long weekend's Sunday morning for brunch, and they didn't have any gluten-free bread or almond milk left; which is quite unfortunate for a place that claims "A diverse menu for everyone, gluten-free and vegan options". Running out of these items on the morning of brunch day on a long weekend is already bad; however, there's a supermarket literally 160 meters away (2 min walk) where they do sell gluten-free bread and almond milk, (I checked after), so not being able to solve the issue was even worse. I could have gone and purchased my bread and milk myself if I would have known at the time... Otherwise, the food they could offer was good, and our server was quite friendly despite the issues.
Jose Benitez — Google review
Great little spot if you don't want to fight (and pay) for parking near the beach. A little busy at lunch, but food was good and prices better than expected. Would make the drive again just for lunch!
Ant White — Google review
This is not one of those pretentious places that has garbage food but good decor. This place is a hidden gem. The ambiance is amazing. The young staff are very professional in their service and most importantly the food actually tastes good. Oftentimes we come to restaurants that's spent so much on the decor that they forget about service and the quality of the food. This is a family owned place that really cares about the details.
Mehran Reza — Google review
It was a cozy and nice place for family and couples. The staff were friendly as well. I liked fish and chips but the Buffalo chicken was not my type.
Jessica Lee — Google review
Edit: Recently, The Lake Hound has changed their sausage supplier. The new sausage is not very good and has a tough casing. The rest of their food is delicious! I love the home fries, best I've ever had. Rilee (our waitress) is the most pleasant person, manages her tables well and is very attentive. Original review: Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We all had something different and were very happy with the food. We also discovered our grandson likes marmalade!
Liz Bartholet — Google review
We unknowingly stopped in on trivia night, a full house. The friendly staff still accommodated us and the food was excellent.
Sylvia Davidson — Google review
This place is really popular. They always have a line of people waiting to be seated. If you can book in advance, do it. The staff are great. They were able to accommodate walk-in customers like us and inform you how long the wait will be. They are really friendly and assist their customers really well even though they're busy. Food is fresh and delicious.
Mark Conrad Maramag — Google review
This place is a hidden gem! From the atmosphere to the delicious food. Lots of great healthy options on the menu. Super friendly staff. It was just perfection
Stella Bean — Google review
Wow. If I could rate 6/5 stars I would. The service is amazing, staff is very friendly, the food blew me away. I had “the cure” and wanted a second one. All in all, would highly recommend.

We had a great family lunch at The lake Hound! We were so impressed by how clean even the outside dining area was! While we were there we saw the staff disinfecting door handles and constantly wiping things down! The staff was knowledgeable, our server didn’t have to go ask what beers they had, she was able to answer all of our questions. Our food came fast, hot, and was delicious!!!!! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Lake Hound staff for making it an enjoyable experience for the whole family!
Brittany Heyblom — Google review
This restaurant has a very woodsy interior which is quite inviting. The staff were very friendly and our server Becca was particularly attentive and engaging. We had Lake Perch and the Bacon Cheddar Burger. Both were quite tasty. Nice selection of craft beers on tap.

Bar
Paddingtons Pub is a charming drinking establishment and wine bar in Grand Bend, Ontario. Its quaint ambiance and outdoor seating provide a delightful setting to enjoy their menu of classic pub fare and desserts. The alehouse also offers live music, making it more than just a pub – it's an eatery where you can indulge in delectable British and Canadian cuisine. Paddingtons has two noteworthy weekly specials: Fish and Chips on Thursdays and Prime Rib on Sundays.
This is such a great place to dine in the lovely town of Grand Bend. We went to have an early dinner during a long weekend.Their great menu is the reason we chose this place with plenty of shareable options, appetizers, wraps, pastas and sides.we were greeted by the host/server who was really nice and attentive. We ordered English style fish and chips accompanied by curry sauce as an extra side, and south western style grilled chicken wrap with coleslaw. The quantity of both the dishes were a lot for both of us to finish. Everything tasted so delicious, flavors balanced to perfection, ingredients were fresh and the house special curry sauce was out of this world . You have the option of replacing the default sides with other sides in the menu(prices may or may not apply). For the beverages we ordered the IPA and brown ale, which were good too. If not for the natural beauty of Grand bend, the Paddington pub is surely a reason to visit the town. Thank you for the great service.
Debalina Saha — Google review
This place was yummy and the service was the best we've had in a LONG time. 4 stars because their deep fried pickles are out of this world and their fries were delicious but the garlic parm fries that my husband got with his meal were mediocre at best and the bread of my sandwich was barely toasted leaving it a little too doughy for my liking. Atmosphere was so cute in this little pub. Must try!
Danielle Faria — Google review
My overall experience at Paddingtons Pub was okay. I didn’t like how my party was treated. Felt a bit rushed and with that we were left for long periods to wait for our orders and drinks (ie water). Nonetheless, food was decent. Portions were good however price did not compensate. Paddingtons might be more catered to locals and not so much for those travelling from afar. It is definitely a venue for seniors.
John M — Google review
Awesome portions. Have great craft beer & cider on tap (ANGRY ORCHARD!!) Awesome decor, loved the back patio also. Quick service, super friendly & personable staff. One of the best meals I've had in a LONG time. Definitely try the coconut shrimp. Only con is that it's pricy.
Jess Allen — Google review
Fantastic! Garlic Parmesan fries were a hit! Buffalo chicken wrap had a great level of spice! Finished off with a refreshing Cracked Canoe Light Lager, a delightful place to visit. I highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Gabrielle Storrs — Google review
Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great!! My only issue was no A/C. One bedroom size small ceiling fan. We were sitting directly below it and... next to no breeze. The motor probably created more heat than the blades displaced.
Christina Bachmann — Google review
Stopped in here on a whim today as we were just driving by. Usually I have these things pre planned but today I walked in with zero expectations. We were just leaving the beach & had a group of 11. So I wasn’t expecting to get in anywhere without a reservation. But the back patio was wide open & fit us all! The staff was all so amazing. I can’t say enough about our waitress either. She was dynamite! The food took about 40 min. Which was absolutely understandable. We were a big group on a random Monday so they were doing their best. All of our food was piping hot & the portions were great!! They had a lot of unique items to choose from as well. We started with the cheese dip. It was served with garlic naan and it was huge hit with everyone! I would recommend ordering extra naan with it tho. For the main I went with the fried haddock & basmati rice. It was so delicious! Highly recommend. My husband had the Buffalo wrap which was also amazing. They didn’t use franks hot sauce & so many places do! So it was a nice change. Our son went with the chicken finger meal & it was a ton of food! Pretty standard meal but the portion was great. Overall it was a wonderful experience & definitely recommend checking out this little gem if you’re in the area.
Tiffany Hart — Google review
An excellent little eatery close to the resort. Very cozy atmosphere offering home cooked meals and a reasonable beverage selection, featuring local wine and beers. Small parking lot in the back with an easy to miss entrance but you won't want to miss eating here! Especially if you intend to try out the $10 lunch feature. Will be returning again when in the area.
Jordon Wood — Google review
Paddingtons Pub has the best fish and chips we've ever had! Go on Thursdays for their buy one, get one half off special. They have generous portions and the fish is cooked to perfection. It's worth the drive from London. A visit to Grand Bend is never complete without a visit to Paddingtons Pub.
Angela Kuehn — Google review
An excellent little eatery with pub and patio settings very close to the beach along with their own parking spot. The entrance is easy to miss, but you don't want to miss out eating here. All the plates we tried were delicious. Will be returning again when in the area.
Barun Sengupta — Google review
Awesome service, delicious food, and huge servings. The service was amazing. We loved it.
Jeannine Kemmers — Google review
Great food, even better drinks! I was absolutely obsessed with the lasagna weekly special. We had an awesome dinner and so we came back the next night for round 2. Thanks for accommodating our larger group. The service was lovely, food was yummy & drinks were classics and awesome!
Monica Lundrigan — Google review
Food tasted great! I totally recommend coming here! The food was delicious and portion size was good. We ordered liver, fish and chips, and sausages and mashed potatoes.
Lourdes Hurtado — Google review
You'll be disappointed if you missed your opportunity to eat here. Talk to the kitchen, food is amazingly delicious. You don't need to spend the extra $2.50 for garlic fries as regular fries are amazing (but you should do that we can keep contributing to this restaurant.) Get the double fish. Even if you're full you'll eat both up. The parking lot is hidden in the back .
Jeremy Law — Google review
my favorite place in GRAND BEND to eat! My only complaint is beef stroganoff is rare as a daily special. seriously this restaurant could be open in Toronto and do well. great. great food made with love as the owners of the place are with each other. The staff is a delight. And the food is delicious. Thank you for being around and open all year round. My stomach would be much lonelier without such great food :)

Stopped in on Valentines day and even though we did not have a reservation, they had a table for us. Fantastic meal and the best service. Even got a rose as we left. Highly recommend, and will be back again...Grilled pickerel and the penne pasta were both great..

Great spot to check out after hitting the beach! They have a large patio with indoor seating facing the beach as well. Ordered chicken tenders and a crisp corona which was delicious. Perfect spot to enjoy some beachside views. Service was friendly too. Would recommend!

What makes going here great is that it's probably the atmosphere you're looking for when you come to Grand Bend. It took a while for our table, but it was during dinner time and everyone is leaving the beach - so understandable. If you come at like 12-4 it's not long waits. For the food it's great quality! We definitely enjoyed our food. Recommend the salmon sandwich. The waiter's WORK, they're polite, funny and honest. Always enjoy coming here during the summer.
Marsie P — Google review
Absolutely great atmosphere for dinner. We even got to see the beautiful sunset. The service was terrific. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. The appetizers were delicious - we got the shrimp cocktail, honey garlic wings and the calamari and they were all delicious! Our main courses were all tasty and the portions were huge! You can definitely share a meal as they are big enough for two people. That's okay, we got leftovers for the next day. The drinks were perfect....yummy!!! Go for the Gator-Size 😉...you won't be disappointed.

Been going there on and off the last ten years as we put on youth beach volleyball tournaments in Grand Bend. FANTASTIC OWNER AND STAFF. Always makes us feel welcome. Good Food, Great Atmosphere. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club LOVES the Gator! See you in June.

This is our go to restaurant when we come around for the beautiful beach day. They always have a line outside so be ready to wait a bit but the wait is surely worth it. Their staff is attentive and knowledgeable. They’re always ready to help with selections. Overall atmosphere is great. Makes you feel as if you’re somewhere on a resort in Caribbean.
Margarita Niszcz — Google review
great summer patio vibes in a perfect location next to the beach. was expecting the food to be mediocre bar food, but it was pleasantly surprising. overall, would come back and one of the better restaurants on the strip. fish and chips: large fillet portion with good breading. fries were solid but unmemorable.
Andrea Santos — Google review
Atmosphere was amazing. Just what you need for the summer. Went there for lunch after some time in the beach. Food wasn’t that great as the fries were burnt, and the service was great when the food came but food took way to long to arrive. Nice place though.
Osborne — Google review
I enjoyed eating here! Wonderful atmosphere and courteous staff. We asked to be seated in a booth outside and they easily accommodated us! The waiter, also the bartender, was an absolute gentleman. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was a thick delicious cut, with chunks of high quality blue cheese and delicious fresh fries. If you want to have some nice food with beautiful views in Grand Bend, this is a great spot. Highly recommended!
Lynx Lynx — Google review
It’s a nice restaurant with a good view, decor, music. Location is great and that’s probably why they are busy and their service is not so good. We were seated pretty quickly even though there was a line up. However, it took 1 hour for our food to arrive and their reasoning was that one of the dishes we ordered was main. Okay. The steak we ordered as medium rare came absolutely rare so we weren’t sure why it took them 1 hour to make a raw steak. We got a discount of 20% for the steak, well I guess thanks? Food was not bad in general not counting the raw steak. I’d say if you’re hungry on a Saturday evening and don’t want to end up being disappointed, go elsewhere
Irina Belaya — Google review
Loved the ambience. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. You can see the beach and if you happen to go at sunset you have a beautiful view of sunset while you have dinner. The food is amazing and the it taste delicious. If you wish to have not so chilly food this place is highly recommended. The staff at this place provide excellent services.

Restaurant
Midori Sushi Bar & Restaurant, located in Lambton Shores, Canada, is a laid-back eatery that offers a diverse menu featuring Japanese cuisine and specialty sushi rolls. The restaurant also has a patio area where diners can enjoy their meals. Originally starting as a small catering and takeout business in 2010, Midori quickly gained popularity and expanded to a larger location with more seating options including the outdoor patio.
Back in July my family and I decided to visit this place for my birthday. Since we were already at the beach and it was last minute, we didn’t have any reservations. We waited 20 minutes in their beautiful garden, and they have lovely outdoor waiting area with comfortable seats on one side at the front of the restaurant and super cute swings on the other side perfect for Instagram photos. Their outdoor patio was serene, private with beautiful Buddha decor. The staff was absolutely 10/10. I wish I could remember our waitress name as she was a delight to talk too. So professional, memorized all our others and even brought me a mango sorbet on the house to celebrate my bday. Their sushi menu is definitely unique and offers wide variety of dishes. It was so delicious, we stuffed at the end of the night. Location, food, decor and excellent supreme customer service, this place is an 10\10

Liked this place not so much for the main course but the sushi here is fresh and very tasty and has a good amount of spice, my second best dish was the tempura complimented with a perfect sweet chili sauce. The waiters here are very polite and informative so had a wonderful experience.
Zeeshan Sange — Google review
Amazing! This sushi is fantastic. Consistently made with care, and is always fresh. The atmosphere is inviting to all with ample indoor seating and a beautiful patio. The staff is incredible and caters very well to those with allergies. Emma and Morgan are great servers and will ensure your experience is superb. Highly recommend!

This venue was a great find during our recent trip to Grand Bend. We really enjoyed sushi rolls we have ordered. Really fresh and well testing. They have very nice patio setup as well. We only wish for them to be open for a bit longer in the evening over the summer months. They close at 8pm, so plan your day at the beach accordingly if you plan to enjoy some great sushi in the evening.
Marcus Phylee — Google review
Came here with friends while visiting Grand Bend. Best sushi I have ever had and everyone I was with agreed. It was quality food and quality service. If I came back to grand bend I would 100% visit again!! Their egg rolls and smith special roll (get it deep fried) was notably to die for!! Also the dill pickle roll was super cool and yummy!

Great sushi and lovely ambience! This place comes on the way to Pinery Provincial Park and Grand Bend. We had mango salad which was delicious and well presented. The portion sizes were appropriate. Ambience inside the restaurant was average but they have made a very cute garden with swings on the outside along with patio. Can keep going back to this cute little place.

Some of the best sushi I've had in a while! A great vegetarian selection and I highly recommend any of the special rolls! Can't forget the cocktails 👌

Went to grand bend and I was surprised they had such a great sushi place just off the strip. Great patio as well and enough space inside our server Katie (not sure her name) was fantastic too. White melon sangria is a must try! Had dynamite, green dragon, and California rolls that were fried! Delicious and will try again

We went to Grand Bend to the beach then the Restaurant to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. We had multiple choices but looking at ratings and reading reviews as well as children choice as well we decided with them. We are really glad we did so. Food-Fresh and absolutely delicious. Freshly made on spot Service-One of the best we have ever been. They went above and beyond and accommodated us as soon as table became available. They worked together as a team with genuine smile. Anything we asked they got it for us without any hesitation. When they figured out my fiancé’s birthday they went even further brought her favourite ice cream(mango) a massive portion which was one of the best we have ever tasted. Honestly, we have been around quite few good restaurants but our hats off of the service and food as well. They are our number one go to place in Grand Bend. Looking forward to the next time! Cleanliness-We found it spotless Place-Absolutely family friendly. They swings for children as well as to people with urgency taking pictures to social media and also table with seats or as we choose it’s summer sitting on the grass. Either way is perfect. They said the waiting is approx 45 minutes but we saw they tried to make sure cut it as short as possible by cleaning and setting tables as soon as possible in a team.

Lovely atmosphere and unique delicious drinks. The sushi it self was very mediocre, how ever the miso soup and the shrimp tempura were delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly. Overall a good experience

YUM! Super tasty & they have wonderful gluten free options. Extremely fresh and tasty.

I'm sorry but I would have to disagree with the five-star food reviews. The sushi is okay but I wouldn't say the greatest although they're the only sushi restaurant in town. Service staff is great and very attentive. Atmosphere is good too and I believe they have a patio in the back. The lower dining area is a little musty though.
Philip N — Google review
After a long day on the beach we decided to come here for some sushi. All of the rolls were filled with fish and they did disappoint. The only item that wasn't a hit for me was their special deep fried crab ball. The flavor just wasn't it for me. Over all the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Will come again.
Dustin Nguyen — Google review
We had a kid free night and escaped to the back patio mid summer, the patio was so calming and such a nice space to relax while listening to music and sipping on fun beverages. The food came and it met all of our expectations and then some. The server sold us on their special of the night and it came through! Can't wait for summer and the doors to open once again!
raquel murray — Google review
The patio feels quiet and private, it is fresh in the heat of the summer and tastefully decorated. Our server was very friendly and professional. The food was perfectly presented and absolutely delicious. The only downside of this place is that, althought we were there on the Friday before a long weekend, they close at 9pm when it's not even dark. I wish we have had the chance to enjoy the patio a bit longer.
Jose Benitez — Google review
We visited this restaurant September 2 2023. Beautiful place, cozy patio, freshest suchi ( kamikaze my favourite), miso soup was different and I would love to say I love it but it was too salty for my taste ( that is the only reason I put 4 *) . Great service! Lovely place, we will return for sure.

Can't wait to go back! Stopped by for supper and have never had better! So good. The bacon atop our casears was merely a glimpse of what was to follow! We shared a side salad and Crispy Brussels Sprouts followed by our main dishes; Butternut Squash Ravioli and Black Truffle Ricotta Sacchetton. Delicious is an understatement. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was top notch, we can't wait to come back and try brunch!

Food was delicious! We enjoyed all dishes we ordered! Their pesto sauce is so delicious! And the deserts are yummy too! The only reason why we put 4* is the size of the restaurant. But overall the food worth 5/5. Definitely recommend it!

What an amazing gem of a find! Absolutely one of the best meals our family has had. Pictured here are lump crab cakes, Caesar salad and mushrooms on toast. The mushrooms on toast were an definite stand out. We also has their pasta's (Mexican Street corn, butternut squash ravioli in sage brown butter with pecans and pecorino, and carbonara with maple bacon). Bonus was it was steps from the beach! Don't miss this spot.

A unique spot in the heart of Grand Bend, just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach. The truffle fries are to die for. The decor is neat and the restaurant is clean. Menu options are somewhat limited and I would say it is not kid friendly.
