Bodegas Chandon offers a delightful experience with its beautifully manicured French garden, friendly staff, and a variety of activities to enjoy. Visitors can spend the whole day here, starting with a gourmet lunch or a picnic in the garden. The tour of the grounds is informative and engaging, followed by a fun tasting session featuring their delicious sparkling wines. Many recommend this place for its great reception, knowledgeable hosts, and excellent selection of wines.
What a surprising visit, great sparkling wine, great reception, great tasting, great host, and great selection, go visit you won't regret it

I expected better service. There was no availability at the restaurant and as overlanders we depend on various factors such as roads, whether and etc. They offered to serve a bottle outside in the garden but refused to allow us to take our peaches and the receptionists were sloppy and not friendly when we tried to make a reservation for Tuesday. Why not? Do groups have preference? I was disappointed 😣

I am actually in shock at how poor this experience was. I'll start by saying the grounds are perfect for a picnic bit that's were the positive ends. We were a party of 9, 4 children and 5 adults for the picnic. Firstly no glasses came for the water we were served. The children's food came 15 minutes after the picnic box The bread used for the sandwiches was so stale we had to use the water to wash it down No more water came after the first bottle. The desserts arrived, the fruit one contained old dry sponge. Personally I would avoid like the plague and go visit one of the many vineyards for a 4 course meal for the same price. I forgot to mention the staff dog that spent the entire time trying to eat our food...just terrible.
Scott L — Google review
We arrived there at 4.30pm without a reservation hoping to be able to taste some of their wines on the terrace. Our surprise came when we entered and were welcomed by some drunk Brazilian tourists making mess on their facilities. This is not at all the expectations that we had from the Chandon brand.

Beautiful day at Chandon complete with an interesting tour with the knowledgeable and multilingual Luce, not to mention the delicious tasting afterwards. Thoroughly recommend!

We did the tasting with a short tour. Well worth the 4300 pesos per person. Mostly couples..so dudes..if your wife or girlfriend wants to go...do it!😀

Chandon's Got Garden - a beautifully manicured French garden, brilliant bubbly, and some pretty cheerful staff, but let me break down your best plan for visiting this special place. This is definitely a place you can stay for the whole day. - Go for the taste and the tour - Enjoy a gourmet lunch - Picnic in the garden
Dancoise Miller — Google review
Such an amazing experience! Started off with a picnic with friends, then a tour of the grounds then a fun tasting! I would highly recommend stopping here when in Mendoza. It’s a 500 ARG Paseo Uber drive to the Bodegas, but you will have to have them call a taxi for your return.
Katharine Stump — Google review
The service was awful. Tried to book via WhatsApp and replies were super slow. Then showed up to check out the shop, waited for a long time and no one was there to answer our questions or help us. Very unorganised.

Gorgeous place. The tasting was very nice. The tour guide wasn't memorable, but is a must go in Mendoza .

Beautiful! Enjoyed a guided tour of the caves and of course some delicious tastings. Worth a visit for sure.

Stopped here for a 7-8 course lunch during a wine tour. Every course was spectacular in taste. Wines by Susana Balbo to match each of them. Beautiful premises.

The landscape, the weather, the atmosphere of the place is just magnificent. As a tourist you'll just love it. As an eco-friend, you'll enjoy the location and care. As a wine lover, the adventure to the enjoyment of the wine is worthwhile. Consider this place as a wonderful site for weddings or celebrations.

(Translated by Google) Excellent experience. We took the 3-course menu and everything was exquisite, we could barely finish the main course because of how abundant it was. Very good wines. It has formal options with a 3 or 5 course menu and more informal options such as a picnic. The service is perfect, the landscape too and the prices affordable for the quality of the service. (Translated by Google) Terrible food, I never thought that in such a prestigious winery. The osso buco dish with gnocchi was impossible to eat because it was so ugly. I admit that the place and service and wines were excellent but the gastronomy was terrible. Totally disappointed, I expected something else. With a main building in Mayan style, this winery is known for its high-altitude Malbec.
We stopped by unexpectedly and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We tasted their amazing Malbec. Our visit was complimented with access to the upper deck which offered incredible views and a brief but very fun visit to their cellar. This place is a must come back for us 😎🍷
Jacqueline Tello — Google review
Very nice experience. The building is unique and impressive. The tour explains the different kind of soils they have in their vineyards and the difference between the different altitudes etc. Leonardo, the guide, also gave a lot of insights on the wines, which tasted very good. Highly recommended

I had been looking forward to visiting this winery(bodega) and I am glad to have finally made it. The architecture of the building is Mayan and is definitely a sight to see. I did the wine and music tour and it was interesting and different than any other tour I have done. I could see how music can affect your taste after experiencing this. The wine is top notch and the facilities are incredible. You will need a reservation to get into the place. Also be aware when walking around and taking photos you will be asked if you need any help. If you are in Mendoza this is a must see winery.

I already visited several wineries arround the world. This winery is the most beautiful I ever visited. There people are very friendly and helpful. If you are a winelover, Catena-Zapata is a MUST.
Joel Rubim — Google review
The vineyard visit was amazing! The guide was very friendly and really took the time to explain the lovely history of the brand and how family plays a central role in everything. You really get to learn about and taste the difference in each of the malbecs they feature. The tour was informative as well as tasty as it also came with a degustation of local snacks that paired perfectly with the wine. They now also have a restaurant close to la pirámide. It is a must visit not just for the delectable tasting menu but also for the beautiful architecture and the treasures it holds underneath. We opted for the smaller tasting menu and left full and satisfied. Bodega Catena Zapata should be a must on everyone’s list of places to visit!

A must visit in Mendoza! Welcoming Staff and amazing quality wines! We were hosted by Carolina at "La Pirámide" Winery where we discover the Catena Wine Institute and the family history of pioneers. Later on we had the fortune to visit the new feature of the family: Angélica Restaurant and the distillery where we tasted the unique Vermouth Vincenzo and the most delicious Grappa. Thanks Dani for showing us around!

We did the Wine and Music tour. The winery is beautiful and the view of the Andes is amazing. The wine tour was good. The wine and music tasting was fun, but I was expecting live music and the music was played from a speaker. The wines were tasty. Outside of the tour was staff was not very nice. Everywhere we went they asked us what we were doing and it felt like they were trying to push us out. Overall, more expensive than other experiences that give you a lot more.

This is a wonderful wine produced by a great Family....got it at Costco a d enjoyed it with a Pizza and cheesesteaks.....Cheers

Beautiful winery and surroundings. Wine tours here are generally more expensive than most other local vineyards - I did the Renaissance Malbec tour (8,500 Pesos). The guide was very friendly and informative, although I felt that I didn't get the value from the tour compared to the price. Very good selection of wines, especially on the premium tour.

We had a tour and a wine tasting and it was amazing. (In English) One of the most beautiful bodegas we saw in Mendoza en the best service. It was interesting and unhurried. They helped us out with the taxi and many recommendations for the area. Also the Pulenta wine itself is amazing and they let you taste their star wines. Would 100% recommend and go back.

Amazing winery. Obviously the view is amazingly stunning. But more importantly the wines are good. We came without a reservation and luckily enough were offered a (private) tour and enjoyed it. They also have some vintage engines to be enjoyed by the connoisseurs ;). Rafa was amicable and really gave us all the info we wished to hear on this tour.

We visited the winery earlier this week. The visit was very good. We were guided by Ivan who is very knowledgeable and polite. We tasted very nice wines. I highly recommend the place.

We were unaware bookings for tastings are required. A throw back to COVID days. But Maria saved us. Invited us to sit at a table and showed us some of their beautiful wines. The Gran Cab Sav and Gran Can Franc were stunning. Thank you Maria. A must visit.

Great views of the mountains. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice grounds to wall around.
Ian Verschuren — Google review
We visited for the second time in October 2021. The wines are excellent (among the very best produced in Argentina), the winery, the surrounding fields are beautifull, with superb views to the mountains, and the staff really warm and welcoming. The wine tasting, led with insight and charme by Ivan, the in house sommelier, is probably the best in Mendoza. Book early, as it fills quickly.

Belasco de Baquedano winery offers satisfactory wine, accompanied by a stunning property. Visitors can indulge in a complete lunch and tasting experience while enjoying their stay.
I had an incredible time at Belasco de Baquedano with their 5 course lunch. Each dish is paired with a wine from Malbec grapes, and you get exquisite views of the vineyard with beautiful seating both indoors and outdoors. I don’t have experience eating at vineyards, and haven’t been to others in the mendoza area, so I can’t speak to how this one compared to others, but the quality of food at this restaurant greatly surpassed similarly priced restaurants I visited in BA. I also loved that this winery in particular was filled with locals, I spoke with a group who came from vacation from BA and they seemed to love Belasco also (and they loved the wines so much at lunch that they bought some to take home, even though they’d already visited many wineries during their week in Mendoza). I went wine tasting in Norton winery close by (which I loved), so it’s possible I was predisposed to have favorable opinions due to coming a bit tipsy. If you’re coming from the states, make sure to have cash on you, because the dollar is really strong in Argentina right now because of how bad inflation is here, and the conversion rate is much better with cash currency exchange than paying with a credit card. I might not have the descriptions completely correct for what I had (I can’t find the menu online), but here were the delicious dishes I had here: 1. eggplant dip with sparkling wine and gluten free bread (made with chickpea flour) and local olive oil. 🍞 I’m not gluten free, they just give gluten free bread to everyone, and it was surprisingly wonderful! I love eggplant and thought this was a wonderful dish. 2. Hummus salad with fresh cheese, vegetables and crispy garbanzo beans with 18 month oak aged malbec 🥗. Salad was incredibly fresh and a beautiful blend of flavors and textures, definitely my favorite course, even though this is clearly not Argentinian. 3. Trout with a crispy potato latke and creamy sauce with a 100 year old aged malbec 🐟. This trout was also wonderful, I loved the sauce and the potato was fried to a crispy perfection 4. Handmade pasta with mushrooms, spinach and broccoli (I’m a pescatarian, but you could have gotten meat for this course for the same price)! I didn’t think this was a great dish, but was my only option as a pescatarian for this course. Served with a one year old Malbec (this one was my favorite wine I had) 🍝 5. Flan like dessert with dulce (obvi) merengue and a malbec sauce, served with port wine made from Malbec grapes 🍇 . Delicious! Loved both the dessert and port wine. This was an exquisite meal with a GORGEOUS view, and seemed to be an amazing price for what was received. Come hungry and ready to drink a ton of wine! I was passed out in the afternoon from all of the wine and food, but it was so worth it. Service was also great, just a heads up that they charge you for water here (this hasn’t been the case in other restaurants I’ve visited so far).

I came to Belasco with 3 friends to hace lunch as part of the “Bus Vitivinícola” experience. One of us was vegetarian and instead of having a proper menu as the rests of the customers, they could only offer her a salad that consisted of 4 leafs of lettuce and some slices of tomatoe. Even worst, the menu inside the restaurant was priced an amount considerably lower that what the ended up billing when we left the place. I strongly don’t recommend coming to Belasco.
Andres Cassinelli — Google review
Gorgeous winery! They have an interesting tour area, which is essentially a large room filled with several dozen aromas that can be found in wines, and an explanation of each. These range from what you would expect (pepper, citrus, etc.) to some more unusual (e.g. sulphur). They also offer what looked like a very lovely 5 course meal with wine pairings for AR$950/person - the chef for the restaurant has another restaurant with a Michelin star. We did not try the meal so I can't comment on whether it was good or not, but I did notice they had a vegetarian option that would be suitable for pescetarians (it replaced the beef course with a vegetarian course, but there was still a salmon course either way). We did the 5 wine tasting and found it quite lovely. The 2013 Torrontes (called Rosa) and the 2011 Malbec (called Guentota) were two standouts. The woman who gave us the tasting was wonderful - extremely polite and friendly and quite knowledgeable about the wines. Each wine's name has an interesting backstory which was fun to hear about as well. The real standout wine was the Antracita, which is a red made from frozen grapes that tasted like nothing else we'd had before! It was sweet, but I'm not typically a fan of sweet wines, and loved it. There was no added sugar so it felt light and not sugary. We had promised ourselves we weren't going to buy any bottles to bring back to the states, but they don't export the Antracita (they export all the others through a company in the US), so we caved and bought a bottle, the only one we bought in Argentina. While we were waiting for our taxi the woman who had given us our tasting even gave us another glass of the Antracita for free, which was very kind. In summary, beautiful winery, food by a Michelin-starred chef, and don't miss the Antracita!

(Translated by Google) One of the best winery experiences in Mendoza! The place is beautiful, the wines are excellent and the view is breathtaking. For me there were 2 high points. The first was the service given by the guide Mael, who even though it was just me and my wife (we went on a Tuesday where everything is practically closed) was super attentive and gave a complete explanation about all the processes, always answering all our questions with great friendliness. . It ended up that we stayed much longer than suggested by the tour just chatting with him. The second highlight is the aroma room. A very interesting proposal from the winery to educate wine lovers about which notes to smell and in which processes they can appear. Extremely educational. I recommend visiting and buying the wines, which are excellent!
