Restaurant
Lava Restaurant is an incredible upscale dining spot with a beautiful interior and stunning views of the lagoon. It's highly recommended to make a reservation in advance due to its popularity. The menu may be short, but there's an extensive drinks menu to choose from. Dishes like the chicken liver parfait and lamb filet are highly recommended for their amazing flavors and generous portions. The service is excellent, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Tried two different taster menus, on two consecutive days. The whole menu was a surprise, we had no idea what was coming!Totally amazing! The lamb and the Red Velvet Cake were stellar! Absolutely lovely atmosphere with friendly and humorous staff. Great cocktails too! Definitely worth it!

This is a really beautiful and modern restaurant located at the blue lagoon. I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and had a nice time. I had the beef tenderloin and it was just ok, but the ambience and service were spectacular.

We had the four course tasting menu and it was delicious and beautiful. The waitresses and waiters were polite and attentive and Anni was especially impressive. She added so much to our experience! WARNING - You can't tip on the card machine, so take cash! We were so sorry that we couldn't tip, because they deserved an extra thank you. Highly highly recommended!!

We had visited the Blue Lagoon and purchased our visit to include a visit to the Lava restaurant— we peeped at their menu and decided on it! It was lovely to unwind from unwinding (haha) w some good food, nice view and a nice sparkling beverage! We went towards the end of the day so there were less people out in the lagoon when we had our meal. Thanks for a really nice end to our day at the spa!:)
Whereisviv — Google review
Yes, it was expensive, but also yes, it was amazing food. We got two very tasty appetizers based on fish, and then 3 mains which were very delicate, tasty and filling. For dessert we got a classic Icelandic mousse which we also enjoyed. Coupled with the view, it was a very worthwhile experience! Bonus: the bread with butter must have been some of the best I've had.
Claudio Lener — Google review
We tried the four course tasting menu that range from fish to lamb, the food was outstanding, and so was the service. Added bonus with the views! If you cannot afford to stay there, $$$$ it is definitely worth stopping in.
Robert Havey — Google review
Great concept having built the restaurant with lava stone all around. Overall the food was good. Portions and options were great. It is a touristy type restaurant given the traffic going to the Blue Lagoon but it's not too bad. Also note, a 5 min drive into the small town has good options as well if reservations are too difficult here.

We had booked blue lagoon and lava resteraunt with sparkling wine to celebrate the last day of our honeymoon. We had such a Lovely time in the lagoon we completely lost track of time and ended up with a very short time left. The Lava hosts were brilliant, they let us have a table and what we could order to have the experience of our meal and wine without the stress of time. Very friendly service, very helpful and amazing soup and dessert. Lovely touch to celebrate with lovely view. Thank you

I strongly suggest you don't leave Iceland without stopping in A truly unique experience, Lava Restaurant is a part of the larger Blue Lagoon property. I was met by a kind young lady at the hostess stand, and my waiter was efficient, knowledgeable, and skilled. The food they served was delicious and full of a myriad of flavors. I had the catch of the day and it was perfectly soft and springy, falling apart splendidly without being slimy or dry. The bread was spectacular and was exceeded by the butter with salt. Heartily recommend this venue, especially after a relaxing soak.

Our favourite meal in Iceland! Before enjoying the blue lagoon, had an exceptional lunch in Lava was the best choice. Love the lamb there, so tender and juicy. And the bread with sea salt cream. Yum yum. And our waiter was so friendly! Had a great time there.
Jett L — Google review
Best food we had during our entire two week stay in Iceland. Half tempted to eat the Icelandic butter with a spoon - that should give you an idea. The raspberry sorbet? Oh my - just so much flavour! Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to the four course dinner.

I wasnt sure what to expect as restaurants paired with attractions are a hit and miss but this place was so good. The fresh bread, the lamb, the coffee, EVERYTHING was quality and ridiculously flavorful. The staff were attentive and the views from the table were beautiful. Would absolutely come back. Absolutely worth the money

I really thought this would be a rip off for a captive audience. The menu was terrific. The staff was great. The food was great. I’d come just to eat here. Fresh, local, and carefully prepared.

Great restaurant and bar. Our bartender was truly gifted and a master of his craft. The staff was delightful, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding their menu. Both the Ling and Lamb were really, really tasty. It's quite expensive though! It was such a super experience though that it was still worth the expense for us.

We were lucky to visit the Blue Lagoon and Lava restaurant the day before the last eruption! The restaurant has beautiful views - it's very laid back! We enjoyed some beautiful food and mocktails accompanied by their delicious bread and Skyr whipped butter - AMAZING! The waiter that looked after us even brought us a second plate of bread, we loved it so much! We felt very kindly looked after during our visit, highly recommended!

Delicious food, superb views, outstanding service. It was a pleasant surprise, to find this level of full hearted hospitality at the very edge of our planet) Special gratitude to professional waiter (I hope I spell his name right) Semmi, who was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu options. P.S: Take the next point with a pinch of salt, as I write it after having a pint of delicious Icelandic beer. To those complaining about prices.. ..you sit on a desolate volcanic rock near the arctic circle, and complain about prices slightly higher than in NY restaurants. Seriously)? Sometimes I think that some of these comments are written by Icelandic trolls)

Looking for a dining experience with dynamic cuisine, enchanting design, and unforgettable views? Look no further than Lava Restaurant! Situated on the shores of the Blue Lagoon, it offers a gourmet experience like no other. The menu showcases Icelandic cuisine's savory delights, with each dish crafted from the finest local ingredients. Indulge in Arctic charr or succulent Lamb Fillet, paired with exquisite flavors. What sets Lava Restaurant apart is its remarkable setting—nestled into an 800-year-old lava cliff. Come experience this culinary masterpiece against Iceland's natural beauty! #Iceland

Incredible restaurant with beautiful upscale interior and amazing view of the lagoon. Reservation is highly recommended to ensure dining at the restaurant. The menu is short. But a long drinks menu. Tries the chicken liver parfait and lamb filet. Both tasted amazing. Lamb filet had two huge slice, soft and tender, cooked to perfect temperature. We got some mocktails. Complements the meal really well. Throughout the dining, we had excellent service. Food was prepared within decent time. Dishes are very expensive but that’s expected since it’s attached to the lagoon. Totally worth if you are willing to spend the $$$

Meh Food. Awesome views. Not super impressed with the food, I’ve had better ribeyes at chain restaurants in New York. Nothing that really stands out. The atmosphere is however, where this place truly shines. The bar/dining area is the craziest most insane interior design I’ve ever seen in the coolest way possible. Spacious, yet enclosed. The walls are made of the staple black volcanic rock illuminated with red LED to simulate lava glow. Very cool and super otherworldly. Would definitely go back here for some drinks with friends but would 100 percent save the money and skip the food!
Joseph Anthony DePronio II — Google review
Overall we had a nice dinner at Lava. The food and drink was excellent as was the atmosphere. Service could have even a bit more attentive given the price point. Very convenient if you’re visiting Blue Lagoon or staying at The Retreat or Silica Hotel.

Restaurant
Café Bryggjan is a popular dining spot on the Reykjanes Peninsula, known for its authentic and tasty Icelandic cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on using local ingredients to create delicious dishes. It is frequently mentioned as one of the best cheap eats in the area, alongside other favorites like Olsen Olsen and Issi fish and chips. Visitors can expect efficient service and a welcoming atmosphere at Café Bryggjan, making it a must-visit while exploring the peninsula.
We stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is on the third floor and there is plenty of seating and restrooms. The cafe is on the ground floor. If you order soup, they give you a bowl. You serve yourself from a pot near the bar and pick bread up there, too. You get one free refill of soup. Highly recommend the Icelandic Trout. The skin is crispy and flavourful.

A beautiful spot. My sandwich was fresh and delicious. Had a coffee as well to warm up. We watched a gentleman who appeared to be mending fishing nuts while we ate.

The BEST lobster bisque anywhere. No exaggeration. The open-faced sandwiches are also very good and the salmon, and the chocolate dessert with the licorice (sounds strange, I know) it's AMAZING! I didn't even get a picture or the name, but I'm already craving more... This is the only place we had to visit 2x this week, it was so good!

Delicious and authentic food. The lobster soup is a must have! Food is fresh, staff is nice. Plenty of seating. Restaurant is located in the third floor. Soup is self serve, and comes with bread and butter. Highly recommend for a non-touristy, authentic location.

[September 2021] A lovely cafe by the Grindavík Harbour, I made sure to stop by to get the famous lobster soup! It certainly lived up to the expectation, and came with a free refill to boot. I didn’t feel particularly comfortable dining indoors due to it being relatively crowded, which was fine as there were outdoor seating accommodations as well. I tried one of their Pönnukaka (Pancake) as well, which was a lovely treat. I will definitely return should I revisit Iceland in the future, which I hope to do one day!

Amazing delicious Icelandic food! This was our only dinner out, and we enjoyed it to the fullest. The trout was topped with slivered almonds and raisins, a deliciously unexpected combination. Tiny potatoes in butter, a light salad with the freshest ingredients…😋 and the lobster soup with bread was equally delicious!

Stopped for lunch on the way from airport to Vik. The soup was excellent. Had both the lobster soup and the vegetable soup. It’s self-service and free refills along with bread. The other menu items looked really good too.

Delicious soups and sandwiches. Visited this quaint gem three times between 2015 and 2021. Only disappointment was that the John Lennon poster was removed in the middle! Hope to be back!

I visited in January for lunch They had a deal on the soup of the day It was lobster soup. It was delicious and kept the cold at bay. This place is worth visiting for the atmosphere. You could imagine wobbling off a North Atlantic trawler that had been your stormy home for weeks, coming in here and being absolutely content. I also recommend the toasted cheese sandwich.
Peter L — Google review
We went to the restaurant on the 3rd floor. It's more cafetería style than restaurant, with a self-service soup table. Service was fast, workers were nice. Food was tasty. Great place to stop when driving around the area.
Mariana Gloria — Google review
The restaurant is located on the upper floor. You can buy drinks, snacks and soup on the first floor too. But if you would like to dine in and order the other menu you have to go up. The food here is really tasty with good quality. The service is fast and the atmosphere is just brilliant.
JR V. — Google review
We stopped in after a hike nearby, the cafe is downstairs and the restaurant is on the third floor. We got a hot dog, some fries and a bowl of lobster soup. After a hike on an icy cold mountain the soup was everything I needed to warm up and come back to life. And you get one free refill!

As Grindavík confronts earthquakes, evacuation, and the possibility of a volcanic eruption, my mind turns to this lovely establishment, its delicious lobster soup, its exceptional bread and the memorable times I’ve spent there. I’m hoping Grindavík escapes further damage and that the town’s residents may return shortly.

Papas' Restaurant in Grindavik, Iceland is a charming local eatery with a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options and has received praise for its friendly and welcoming staff. It's conveniently located near the Blue Lagoon, making it an accessible dining option for travelers in the area.
Good pizza, fast and friendly service, pool tables and good times. I brought a group of 20 high school students here, called ahead, they had our pizzas ready and took care of us quickly. Great experience, couldn’t be happier!

This is a late review. We dined there during our visit to Iceland in late September. We fell in love with Grindavik after staying at the campground a couple of nights, doing some local shopping, dining and soaking at the Grindavik pool. We saw the sign for Papas after a long day of hiking. We ordered pizzas (I got the Lava pizza ) which was yummy. I loved the addition of dates on the pizza. Our hearts go out to the residents and business owners of Grinadvik. We enjoyed our meal at Papas and it will be a fond memory of this lovely, coastal town.

I cannot rate Papas’ highly enough. My wife and I ate here 3 times during our 7 day honeymoon to Iceland. Their fish and chips are beyond description but easily the best I’ve ever had; the baked cod was great as well. The place is easy to get to from the Blue Lagoon, the waitstaff were very friendly, and prices very reasonable for the area. The restaurant itself is a lovey local place, very clean and a delightful relaxed, family atmosphere. We’re already talking about bringing our friends here on our next trip!

We arrived here on a windy and rainy afternoon, seeking to find nice food around before we head to blue lagoon. The male waiter here speaks good English and he is very friendly. The pizza here is nice (not exceptionally good but it is better than my expectation in Iceland). Fish and chips also meet the expectation. Recommended to come if you have a stop nearby.

We wanted something to eat and stumbled across this place while on our way to blue lagoon. We tried the fish and chips and onion rings. Both were excellent. The fish was really fresh and tasty. You get a very good portion for the price.

We stumbled across this place while driving around the Reykjanes Peninsula. Initially thinking it was a pizza place in a fishing town we only reluctantly went in. However what a fantastic place. Service was excellent, same as the prices. But the fish was just amazing. Quite possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had, plus we had langosteen sandwich and the baked fish. we also tried the fermented shark. Everything was fantastic, fish very fresh and nicely cooked. The fermented shark I probably won't try again but it was great to try it!! If you are in the area, visiting the blue lagoon, or driving back to the airport, pop in and try the fish dishes... absolutely fantastic!

We had a great time at Papas! We actually bumped into the owner during our travels along the Ring Road, at a campsite. Great guy, so we decided to give his restaurant a try. The food was excellent! We especially enjoyed the baked cod and the langoustine pizza.

1) Fish & chips is really delicious! Possibly the best I have ever had. Fish is freshly caught everyday. 2) Sweet & crunchy pizza is very interesting because of crushed Doritos chips sprinkled all over. 3) Truffle mayo burger is worth a shot. My kids ate it quietly - that’s how I know it is excellent. We came here for dinner on two consecutive evenings. Amazing food at reasonable prices.

Great fresh food. Also great gluten free options. The small (personal) size pizza crust is gluten free. The Fish and Chips. Not for your gluten free friends. The batter is light and flaky. The fish is fresh and amazing. Chips are crispy and great. Definitely stop in on your adventures through southwestern Iceland.

The fish and chips was amazing, not too much batter and delicious fresh fish. The pizza made my taste buds do a little happy dance. Maybe it tasted better because we had just hiked 20km to watch an erupting volcano, nonetheless, the food was awesome. It was pretty busy but well worth the wait.

We chose to have dinner here twice! It’s definitely a popular spot but it deserves to be as the food is served hot, quick and fresh! The Fish and Chips is super tasty! The staff are welcoming and friendly too. They’ve also got a wide selection of drinks including Somerby’s Cider. Also well priced. Parking is just on the door step and accessible.

Salthúsið is a popular restaurant located near the Blue Lagoon in Grindavik, Iceland. It offers a variety of delicious Icelandic dishes with a modern twist. The menu includes options like Icelandic meat soup, lamb chops, cheeseburger, salted cod, arctic char, breaded catfish, and more. The restaurant is known for its excellent service and accommodating staff. Despite being popular among tour groups, the service remains efficient and friendly.
I had a lunch at this place. One of the best place to have lunch. Vegetarian options available. I had vegetarian burger, it was really good served with fries. Also salad was available. There is complimentary tea and coffee provided to all guests even of you want to have a lunch you are carrying. Staff was super friendly and speaking English. And as tradition in Iceland (and also in India) you don't have to buy water it's provided free of cost.

Excellent Icelandic dishes w a flair. Our server was lovely and answered all of our questions even though we came close to their closing time. We tried the salted cod, arctic char, breaded catfish, cod, and scrumptious lamb chops. Finshed our meal w chocolate cake, fried banana and hot chocolate - yum. Was recommended by our hotel in Reykjavik and was well worth the drive after a couple of hours in nearby Blue Lagoon. They have a nice coffee selection and decaf as well. Great option in a small town, would definitely come here again.

After a long day at Blue Lagoon my family of 5 needed a place for lunch. I did a quick search for something local and land here. We highly recommend this place. The dishes were delicious and the service was top notch. Our server was funny and understanding of our family's needs. It's a popular place for tour busses but that didn't interfere with our service or how quickly food was prepared.

I was staying at the silica hotel by the blue lagoon, and i wanted to find a place close by to eat dinner. I came across this restaurant, and I came back two more times because the food was that good! I definitely recommend the Icelandic meat soup, which is a light broth with vegetables and bites of meat throughout. If you’re into lamb, get the lamb chops. Absolutely my favorite dish and so incredibly well seasoned and cooked. The cheeseburger was amazing as well, and for my last meal i took the salted cod. Simple flavors but just really well done. I thoroughly enjoyed coming here during my trip!

Understated rooms, a relaxed restaurant & a spa, plus a free breakfast buffet & lagoon shuttle.
We stayed here for a week in October. This hotel was an absolute joy to stay in. From the minute we walked in completely jet lagged and delirious, we were met with such accommodating, kind people, specifically Ziggy. He was very kind accommodating and helpful. The room was pristine, beds were comfortable, and the common rooms were so cozy. A good vibe overall. The wait staff at the restaurant were great and super friendly. As far as location it was perfect for us and what we wanted to do for our stay, a quick drive up the hill to the blue lagoon and attractions. The breakfast bar was great and included. The views from the dining room were beautiful. I would 100% recommend staying here and we will be back!

What a delight! Stayed 2 nights and felt right at home. Understated on the outside but nice, bright, clean inside. Greeted by the friendliest host and found everyone friendly at attentive. The dining area attendee was very on point and kept the area clean, food hot and all stocked up. Rooms were simple and clean. Proximity to airport and many activities was very good. Loved our stay and we’ll stay again on our next visit to beautiful Iceland. Thank you.

We stayed for (1) night at the Northern Lights Inn, primarily to facilitate a day trip to the Blue Lagoon. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the inn was and immediately regretted not staying a longer duration. The inn was immaculately clean, had wonderful staff, and was thoughtfully appointed with features and amenities that made us feel relaxed and at home. We cannot wait to celebrate me back to Iceland and enjoy a longer stay at the Northern Lights Inn.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The amenities are top notch with even heated towel rack in the bathroom. The food at Max's Restaurant is amazing. We even got to experience the staff in an emergency. On Feb 8, 2024 I was awakened by a knock at the door with a pleasant smile and announcement, "Time to evacuate. We have an eruption." The staff was extremely organized and calm throughout the evacuation and all got out safe. It was surprising to see how close the eruption was to the hotel. Thank you all for an incredible stay. Thankfully a volcanic eruption isn't always on the agenda.

Nice hotel in a great location for the Blue Lagoon and the airport. Unfortunately this is reflected in the price. Food is nice, but we would have liked to have seen some more traditional Icelandic food on the menu. Room was very clean and comfortable and the spa is very nice. However, after staying in 10 different hotels across Iceland there are ones with better facilities for less money. All in all a good hotel, but for the money we would expect a touch more, even if its just a modern entertainment system in the room (ours was an old school TV where half the channels did not work).

Lovely stay! We stayed here as a little luxury treat after spending the week hiking through Iceland. The location is great (20 minutes from the airport, less than 5 minutes from The Blue Lagoon) and the accommodations were very comfortable. The place is clean and the staff was super friendly!

We weren't here very long as it was just one night after arriving in Iceland before we started exploring. However, it was a nice stay and a decent meal in their restaurant. Breakfast the following morning was good too. A good location for an evening visit to the Blue Lagoon (2mins by car).

We spent two lovely nights here at the Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was so lovely. The location is perfect - walking distance from the Blue Lagoon - and one of the front desk workers helped us find a path for a fantastic short family hike. The included breakfast is fantastic - lots of Icelandic + American breakfast choices. We also ate dinner one night at Max's Restaurant which was delicious. All of our meals were excellent. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Iceland!

Had an amazing stay here in September 2023, the staff was all very friendly. They arranged transportation from the airport and had a convenient shuttle to the blue lagoon down the road. Very nice cozy rooms, several relaxing reading/gathering areas with wonderful views of the hills around it. You can sign up at the front desk when checking in for a wake up call if the northern lights come out & I was lucky enough to be there on a night they did. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, I ate there for dinner & breakfast. The dinner is a restaurant experience while the breakfast is a pretty typical spread, but the food was amazing for both meals. I would definitely love to come back.

It is in close proximity to the blue lagoon and also other towns. I would stay here again and recommend 100%. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Can't rave enough about this hotel. It looks pretty humble on the outside, but inside there is such a warm welcome, with friendly staff, high quality rooms, food and facilities. Expect quality Nordic design through the hotel. I really appreciated the high ceiling in our room, and the simple but attractive furniture. Between 2-4pm each day there is a (free to use) self-service waffle machine - such a nice idea! Plenty of other complimentary extras too. The food is excellent - both breakfast and dinner. And the staff made the stay really joyous. Will definitely visit again on my next trip to Iceland.

We came to Max’s restaurant after visiting the Blue Lagoon. We didn’t stay at the inn. The staff were friendly, the views from the floor to ceiling windows are magnificent. Food pricing is very fair and the taste is decent. We got the soup, fish and chips and chicken schnitzel and the food was fresh and hot. Service was great and the ambience excellent. I definitely recommend if you’re in the area and looking to grab a bit.

We were a family of four travelling to Iceland for 2 nights and staying at the northern light in. We had a great time, the staff is so friendly, the room was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the max restaurant served wonderful meals both for breakfast and dinner. The ‘honesty lounge’ is a great addition with games, puzzles and a cozy fire at night, and the view is stunning. We even got to see the northern light 😊 We will be back!

Lovely hotel, obviously ideally located for the Blue Lagoon. Restaurant also excellent. The main point of doing a review is to call out how amazing the staff were and how there were happy to go way above and beyond. We were at the hotel when there were a lot of earthquakes, which caused the Blue Lagoon to be closed. They had been amazing anyway but due to a disturbed nights sleep and most people being there to visit the lagoon, they comped our dinner and drinks. There was no need to do that and it was certainly a lovely gesture. Certainly can’t blame anyone for an earthquake!

Our stay at the Northern Lights Inn for two nights was an exquisite experience, offering a slice of Icelandic charm. The rooms struck a perfect balance between coziness and pristine cleanliness, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. Hotel’s ambiance is a testament to Icelandic culture, enveloping guests in a warm, local atmosphere. The lounge, with its crackling fireplace, became our favorite spot for relaxation, while the cinema lounge provided a unique touch of entertainment. What truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding staff; their genuine friendliness and eagerness to assist with everything from taxi bookings to arranging our visit to the Blue Lagoon was commendable.Shame I did not catch their names but everyone was very helpful and they even pointed out to us that northern lights were coming out. The restaurant's staff mirrored this high level of service, displaying excellent organization and a warm demeanor that made our dining experiences delightful. Every meal was a pleasure, enhanced by the staff's evident pride in their work. The hotel is a gem that promises not just a stay, but an experience infused with the warmth and beauty of Iceland. It's a place we'd wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking for a home away from home in this stunning country. Only one tiny comment is that there is no mini fridge in the rooms but probably there must be a reason for it.

Very good three stars hotel in the Blue Lagoon area. Much cheaper than actual 4 stars hotel at the blue lagoon with very short (either 5 minutes by car or 20 min paved walk) distance between the Blue lagoon and the hotel. Spacious and clean rooms with TV, en-suite bathroom and surprisingly modern 4 parts recycling been (I never came across it in hotel rooms). Everything was properly working. Our room had a view towards the thermal power station. We slept with our window opened and I found constant low sound from the power station’s turbines quite comforting - kind of sea or a waterfall. Another room for our family was facing inner courtyard. It was absolutely quiet, but I personally preferred the one facing the power station. Night view at the power station is better then during day time as the station is lit. The hotel has Honesty bar where you can have tea coffee, some drinks and snacks with free access. You only have to put down what you took in a journal. To be paid later on checking out. The reception desk personnel was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very good, worth going even you are not hotel guest. They offer tasting of variation of single malt Icelandic Whisky - very interesting, I recommend to try The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Plenty of free parking in fount of the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. The service at this hotel was wonderful - the reception team were on hand to help in anyway they could. Transfers were prompt and not a problem to and from the Blue Lagoon and arranging taxi back to aiport was done with ease. Additonally all staff during our stay were attentive and professional. The only downside to our stay was that we were not fully prepared for, was the smell coming from the geothermal power plant and this is an external factor. The hotel was lovely and really close to the blue lagoon.

We loved our stay at the Northern Lights inn and we are definitely planning to visit again soon. The hotel staff were great and knowledgeable about the local area and things to do. The food at max’s restaurant was delicious and service was great. Was a bit unsure about having a power station next door. But it wasn’t an issue at all. our room overlooked the power station, and at night, it was lit up in lots of different colours and was really quite beautiful, fascinating and not noisy at all. You couldn’t hear a thing from inside the room. Great location to see the Northern Lights and reception, give you a call when the lights are active, so you don’t miss them after midnight. Great base for lots of the most popular tings to do on a short trip to Iceland but would recommend hiring a car to get around. Our stay was worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone to stay here.
