Le Mangevins is a charming, 20-seat wine bar in Tain-l'Hermitage. The proprietors, Vincent Dollat and his wife Keiko, continue to run the place with great food and excellent wine matching. They're also quite knowledgeable about their wines, which makes for an entertaining and informative experience for their customers.
This was awesome!! If I could, I would move inside the restaurant and magical food and good wines. You have to taste all here

We went to dinner and enjoyed the wine pairing with Saint-Joseph wines. At the Sint Jacobs a fresh white cuvée Diane from cave Saint-Désirat. In addition, with the game dish, the red cœur de Rochevine from the same house and the Esprit de Granit, from cave de Tain. Both are parcellar type wines, with more structure and certainly some finesse due to the specific substrate.

Fantastic experience at Le Mangevins. Attentive service, high quality food and wine list. Clearly attention is placed on the wine selection as it’s rotating regularly and interesting bottles are on display for purchase from the owner’s travels. The risotto with langoustines was one of the best bites from our two week travels through France.
Emily Fleck — Google review
Very good food with good selection of wines also by the glass.

I couldn't believe there's such a great quality of food being served in this small city. Not only the food taste fantastic at reasonable price, buy also the lady owner is so friendly and helpful in arranging winery visit. Situated on 2nd floor over seeing an old vineyard along a river, the view from the restaurant undoubtedly is very impressive and enhanced by the beauty of old suspended bridge. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in town.

Great food, welcoming staff! Some restaurants in good locations do not bother so much with the food. Not the case here. Very pleasant dining experience and not a problem that I unhelpfully do not eat cheese. The replacement sauce for the steak was great. Steak very tender. Burger good quality. Did I mention the location?

Quick lunch stop en route to Southern France, thanks to the Bib Gourmand this restaurant holds. Nice terrace seating overlooking the Rhone. We had the burgers, my classic hamburger was spot on – Coarse grounded Charolaise patty, good bun and matching toppings. Nothing more to say than Yummy. My partners’ Rossini burger (steak strips with seared foie gras) was equally good, albeit a bit hard to eat. One star down however for the homemade fries that unfortunately came soggy. Overall, a very decent place!

Superb location with beautiful view on the river and wineries. Very friendly staff and well executed dishes! A must go place when passing by Tournon!

My friends and I enjoyed lunch there when we visited Tain-l’Hermitage. A commune located in the Rhone Valley region of France, this location is known for its vineyards and wine production. The food is excellent and they arrange just like a special meal, especially flavorful wine and fish with special sauce. Interior decoration is spacious and charming. Recommend to get there.

Fish dish of the day was disappointing: under seasoned and overcooked, too little sauce, too. Service was lackluster as well. Thankfully the bread was fresh and tasty.

Le Cerisier is a sophisticated but not pretentious bistro-style restaurant that offers a charming ambiance with the option to dine indoors or in a cozy courtyard surrounded by walls. After a day of cycling along the Via Rhona, this restaurant proved to be the perfect choice for indulging oneself. Despite choosing the basic 32-euro menu, the service was impeccable, and they served two rounds of delightful appetizers followed by an appetizing entree, main course, and cheese selection.
Michelin star restaurant and didnt disappoint. Very good value for money
Frank Laezza — Google review
Delicious, refined, friendly and unpretentious. Excellent wine recommendations.

Cycling the Via Rhôna after a long day I needed to spoil myself. I couldn’t have made a better choice. Despite opting for the simplest €32 menu option I had impeccable service, two rounds of delicious appetisers, followed by entree, main and cheese. The food was magnificent and the sommelier made excellent wine suggestions. Some petit fours then surprised me and the sommelier impressed again with an excellent local fortified wine. I could not fault this restaurant.

Ordered the daily menu. We recieved an unbelievable meal at an even better price. Huge wine list. Sat in a nice garden style room with windows viewing some local foliage.

We ate dinner rather unexpectedly here tonight. What a fabulous find. Food was fantastic, service was spectacular and friendly and helpful! Presentation of the food was spectacular and each of our dishes and courses was a gourmet feast. Highly recommond! Oh, did I mention an EXTENSIVE wine list, but the wine steward was very helpful and candidly wine is quite reasonable!

Great place to taste wines of the region by glass, no reservation necessary.

If you want to do the lunch wine tasting, make reservations!! The lunch area is quite small. As we didn't make a rezzie, we just sat at the bar to tray some wines. The 2012 La Petite Chapelle Hermitage was our favorite glass...we also tried the cote rotie. I wish we had more time to try more wines here. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the wines in Hermitage or Croze Hermitage. Just absolutely delish syrah wines!

Best wine tasting we have had. Delicious wines which exceeded our already high expectations and Guil (William) was one of the most knowledgeable and friendliest people we have met. Forget the incredible wines by the glass, just got for the hospitality from Guil.
