Restaurant
Riverford Field Kitchen is a family-friendly, eco-conscious eatery that offers a diverse menu of locally sourced and organic dishes. With an emphasis on seasonal produce, the restaurant serves up an array of delicious meals made from herbs and vegetables grown on their own farm. In addition to sustainable fish and grass-reared meat options, Riverford's vegetable dishes steal the spotlight. Guests can enjoy a unique dining experience by sharing communal tables with other patrons.
Really lovely experience - fantastic food in the beautiful Devon countryside with a great ethos of organic and sustainable farming. We have been looking forward to trying the Field Kitchen having had veg deliveries from Riverford. The food was absolutely delicious, super fresh, vibrant and imaginatively prepared, with several dishes that come out one or two at a time, so a nice surprise as to what dish is coming next. Also, great to be able to come to a restaurant where the veg is the star of the show! The menu is set, based around what is seasonally available, but any special requests can specified at the time of booking. There are also drink specials and a choice of desserts. The staff are friendly and attentive and the place has a very relaxed ambience overall, with an open kitchen and you can also wander around the growing areas, which all adds to the experience. It's tucked away on a quiet country road, so it's worth allowing extra journey time if you don't know the area. Look forward to returning - wish we lived close by!

It's been a long-held ambition of ours to visit and having finally booked a table it really did not disappoint. A lovely selection of veg-centric dishes, great atmosphere and melt in your mouth desserts. Plus the chance to look around the polytunnel where much of the food is grown. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.

This was our first time visiting the Riverford Field Kitchen and OMG amazing if you ever get the chance please go and check them out. The food was amazing the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was so nice we had a table of 6 and we could all talk comfortably with each other and not having to shout at the person at the other end of the table. As you can see from the pictures the food was so so good can't wait to go back for lunch maybe or dinner again or maybe both. Thank you to the staff from Riverford Field kitchen for an amazing evening.

Our first dining experience at Riverford Field Kitchen was so good that we've already booked to come again. Excellent service, exceptional food and a beautiful setting. The menu was amazing and I love the fact that they choose what you eat. They also made amendments for me allergies which was great.

One of the best kept secrets in Devon. We absolutely loved the food. Great concept too!

We’re regular customers in London to Riverford products. Made this trip to Devon especially to check their farm and kitchen. Totally worth the trip. Great atmosphere, vibe and staff, highly recommend!

A set menu but they will cater for vegetarian and vegans. Really nice atmosphere, great staff and the food is amazing!!!! Option to take home the food if you don't eat it all (just ask for a box)
Liz Lever — Google review
An almost endless variety of incredibly well cooked vegetable dishes come one at a time. They are amazingly good! The meat course then arrives at the end but the veg is the star of the show here! Great value too.
Allister Brimble — Google review
Gorgeous experience. Delicious food and drinks. Perhaps not the biggest or filling of portions (more lighter dishes that aren't so carb heavy). Very enjoyable evening and attentive service, lovely setting- well worth a visit.

Unbeatable food, atmosphere and staff. Always happy to visit from Bournemouth whenever we are this way, our favourite restaurant hands down, due to the freshest ingredients!
Pontus Karlberg — Google review
We booked this at the last moment and were not sure what to expect. From beginning to end, Riverford Field Kitchen could not have been better. It is such good value as well; you get a lot of food throughout the evening, and it is so hard to choose which of the dishes they bring out is your favourite. The flavours are creative, so fresh, and beautifully presented. I loved being able to see the chefs at work. Service was brilliant all evening, with great wines and home-made drinks to choose from. All finished off with an amazing pudding, and coffee at only an extra £2.50. Unbelievable value for such a wonderful dinner. Definitely go if you can.

Might be my new favourite place in the south west. Incredible staff and even better food. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wonderful Sunday lunch with the family, so many amazing flavours! Loved the sharing concept, although with 2 big lads was more of a struggle lol. Highly recommend :D

Finally a place that serves interesting vegetarian food. You can tell by how good the food tastes that the ingredients are top quality. Beautiful, unadulterated, fresh food! Hats off to the chef for being so creative with the veg.

We visited Riverford Field Kitchen for Sunday Lunch and it was beautiful. We sat outside and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. The food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to visit again!. The vegetables are organically grown by Riverford and are the stars of the meal!. Service is tops too!. What a beautiful experience!!.

Best restaurant experience ever. As fans of riverford it was amazing to be able to visit and eat here. it was around £35 per person (excluding drinks) and included 4 starters to share, a mains each and a dessert each so very good value. The ethos and service is lovely with pillows and blankets provided for outdoor seating and you can come a little earlier to walk around the gardens where all the ingredients are grown.

Emilia is a charming Italian osteria that opened in 2022 and has quickly gained recognition, including a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The cozy dining room features a family-style wooden table, mismatched seating, and vintage light fittings, creating an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of backstreet eateries in Bologna. Inspired by the Emilia-Romagna region, the restaurant offers a daily changing menu with delicious small plates, including an offal of the day option.
Most charming of restaurants we have visited in a while. It's up there with Little French in Bristol. Offal of the day utterly superb. Catered for our two vegetarian guests so well. varied menu just wanted to sample it all. William Sitwell was right in his review last year.

Tonight we had the pleasure of dining in one of the most gorgeous little Italian restaurants we have ever visited. It was so authentic, for a moment you thought you were somewhere in Italy. The food was divine, it was fresh, exciting, very authentic & it was all cooked in front of you. An instant favourite 😎🔥🥳

Amazing food. Had lunch, tastiest starter I have ever eaten, tallegio with sweet pickled prunes Followed by a lamb and artichoke ragu with freshly made pasta, simply sublime Great service and interior Can't wait to return

Had an absolutely delicious dinner at Emilia. Our favourite was the fregola- so flavoursome and the cuttlefish was superbly cooked. We will be back.

Really cute little restaurant with unusual dishes and flavours. I enjoyed being able to see the chefs in the open kitchen and the waiting staff gave excellent recommendations on wine. Overall great food and experience.

All the three dishes that we tried were lush. Highly recommend! Will visit again for sure when be around!
Juste Kaubre — Google review
I'm very sorry to say that our lunch was super expensive, the wine was very poor and our lunch portions were tiny, more like a side order or starter. There was only one pasta option, no pizza and no salad or veggies on offer as a side order. Service and music were very good, the waitress (owner/manager?) was very helpful and efficient. Sorry to say that, for us, it wasn't a great experience. I'm half Italian and have travelled extensively, but I didn't feel that it was authentically Italian. Sorry, but true.

A "now-not-so-hidden" gem of Italian home cooking in Ashburton that's dog friendly. The restaurant has a big table in the centre, a 4-5 people booth in one corner, and several 2-people seatings dotted around - one of them being on high chairs by the kitchen which is a best spot if you enjoy chef-watching. As a party of four, we ordered the whole menu including the offal of the day (braised pork skin). We loved every dish. Our dog also enjoyed a couple of gravy bones from the staff. We had high expectations before we arrived (Tom and Clare from Ducksoup, Italian cooking, small plates, extensive natural wine list, ticking all our boxes), and we were still pleasantly surprised. The menu seems to be updated quite frequently ~weekly, so I'll be sure to revisit soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of Emilia’s. Really intimate, cosy and cute atmosphere. Interior is stunning. Service was fantastic, really friendly and great explanation of the menu and dish sizes. We had one of every starter and shared a few main dishes - every dish was absolutely delicious. Was so glad we booked in advance. Will be coming back for sure!

We’ve been fortunate enough to come here for the second time recently for a Saturday lunch. The format is based on sharing which allows us to discover multiple exquisite dishes, all wonderfully thought out and put together, all surprising in their own way. A convivial tasting experience with friendly and attentive hosts. Everything was perfect - thank you!

Had one of the best meals I've had in Devon here. Everything that passed my lips (including wine and coffee) was outstanding. Service was friendly but not overbearing, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting and I also thought it was reasonably priced. Cannot wait to come back.

Our absolutely favourite spot in Devon. Our second visit and just blown away by each dish, the wine list, the service and the laid back stylish space. Can’t wait to come back. The epitome of a great restaurant. A atmospheric space you want to be in with the most outstanding food.

Seafood restaurant
Located in Plymouth, Rockfish is a seafood restaurant that offers fresh and sustainable fish and shellfish cooked simply in a New England-style beach shack setting. The restaurant is well-known for its tasty, fresh seafood, and is adjacent to the National Marine Aquarium. In addition to its seafood offerings, the restaurant also has an outdoor Salcombe Brewery Bar.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal here. Having visited a Rockfish at a different location, we knew what to expect and not disappointed. We hadn't booked ahead and staff helpful in finding a free table. I opted for the fish tacos with my husband choosing the Megrim, both being delicious. Staff were very attentive and friendly at all times. Decent portion sizes and we didn't need dessert.

Nice lunch, expensive fish and chips. Staff helpful and attentive. Food very nice. Recommend the Skippers brew and I'm not really a tea drinker. Nice view. Pleasant atmosphere. probably go back.

Rockfish - The Barbican Plymouth Dropped in to this restaurant without a reservation, Martin quickly found us a table professionally without fuss. We were told our servers name Chris and he quickly took our drinks order before expertly explaining how the menu worked and what was on offer. We decided o smoked haddock, which was came with a lovely jedgere butter sauce. The food was terrific and Ithe chefs should be proud of what they've served. I'd recommend a visit. The service from Martin and Chris was excellent and the owners of Rockfish should be proud of their staff, their training methods as service counts for so much in these challenging times. Well done and thanks to all. Can you open a Rockfish in Bournemouth please...such a huge gap in the market for a great fish restaurant with unrivalled service. Chris was also keen to advise of the online service for available products. We will visit again, thanks Julian & Amanda

Set on the edge of the harbour, in a quieter part of Plymouth near the Aquarium. They do Gluten free fish and chips, fried in a separate fryer so perfect for Coeliac. The haddock was great. We sat in the sun on their deck enjoying our takeaway food. Perfect Bank holiday.
Nathan Coombs — Google review
Popped in here for a quick pre Aquarium lunch expecting the usual fish and chip fayre. What a pleasant surprise we got!!! This place is amazing! The food was absolutely outstanding, the menu extensive even without the daily catch options. I opted for silver mullet with a samphire side order and it was grilled to perfection with a beautiful garlic butter reduction. Small had the children’s F and C which was devoured! I did pinch a chip and are definitely some of the best encountered in two weeks down here in the S/W! The staff here are all incredibly helpful friendly and above all personable abs happy. This makes such a huge positive difference to any dining experience and is something many other places would do to emulate. Thank you Rockfish, we got a lot more for lunch than we expected and have really enjoyed ourselves! We will definitely be back!

This should be one of the best seafood restaurants in the UK. We love seafood very much, and the chefs at the Rockfish restaurant really understand how to cook every fish that makes the most in texture and favour, never overcooked or over seasoning, just right and perfect. We dine out here 2 times during our 3 days trip, and we really enjoy it.

Wow The BEST FISH and chips I've ever had, Andy the waiter was very friendly and informative. The whitebait was amazing and super fresh. The Batter was really light and crispy and not greasy. Well worth the price and we can't wait to come back again.
James Turner — Google review
The service, atmosphere and quality of food plus general cleanliness of the restaurant and toilets was very good at the Rockfish Plymouth restaurant. My brother in law and I felt the food was well priced for the quality of it, and the portion size was just right. It's my second time to a Rockfish restaurant this year (first being in Dartmouth, who catered for me and my 7yr old daughter very well). I will 100% be returning.
Daniel Green — Google review
We went today, and I was highly disappointed. One of the taps in the toilet are broken and there was no soap. No bowls with hot water were served either. The waiter was new and seemed a little bit lost, bless him. There were 4 of us, the waiter decided we only needed one menu, and we had to ask for 3 more, we also had to ask for the specials menu separately and no high chair was offered until we asked for one. My plaice, was swimming in butter when it was served, the scallops have seen better days too. The food was fresh but the overwhelming amount of butter spoilt it. We have also paid for the kids package, however that was forgotten and we had to ask for it to be given to us. Sadly such little things spoil the experience all together. And I forgot to mention that it took an hour for our food to be served even though it wasn't busy when we arrived. Sadly I will not be coming back to this place, I have highlighted some of the above to the manager.

Very large restaurant and part of a medium sized chain. Food was well prepared, fresh, and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Prices moderate considering location and food offered. Looks like it could get a little chaotic when busy... but that's just a guess and I may be doing them a disservice. Don't forget to order the unlimited chips (fries)!
Alastair Swaffer — Google review
The customer service at this restaurant was fantastic, the waitress who took care of my experience was professional, well mannered and eager to ensure I had the best experience. I visited on a Monday night so it was relatively quiet, but the restaurant has a lovely feeling and design with plenty to look at and take in, including an open kitchen. The food is fantastic quality, I enjoyed every part of it. The only fault I found was that the scallops hadn't been thoroughly cleaned and still retained a significant amount of grit/ sand which couldn't be ignored. The rest of my food was perfect with anchovy butter appertiser being my personal favourite with the light flavour of fish and strong saltyness on the crusty baguette. The servers are well trained and memorised all of the specials available for the day including the accompaniment and prices (see image where the hostess has marked the table cover) this is a simple and unique way to explain the specials.

Visiting again a Rockfish restaurant, this time in Plymouth - it was great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The booking was great, they were kind to tolarate our late arrival. Thank you 🙏The service was excellent. Special thanks to Perrie (apologies if I got the name of the lady who served us), as she was super quick in resolving a small issue with one of the starters ⭐ Food 5⭐ Thanks to the chiefs⭐ And finally thanks to all staff for the smiles and cheerful service and help they showed us ! Well done all👏

Tasty fish! You can never go wrong with fresh ingredients, and I love their calamari, so fresh and tender. The service, however, is too slow. I was so hungry. At least, they could give me some chips before the main dishes were ready.

Recently visited Rockfish for the first time and was very impressed. Visited particularly as I really enjoy Hake as opposed to Cod or Haddock. The Hake was cooked beautifully and the endless chips were great too. We also had a 12oz Haddock which was great too Staff were really friendly and attentive and the cost was quite reasonable too
Mike Finch — Google review
Went for lunch while visiting family. They selected it saying they had great seafood. There was a total of 7 of us plus kids. It wasn't very busy and service was decent although our server was very new and made several mistakes on our order. But the senior server corrected, apologized and didn't charge us. Our server was definitely trying and with time will do well. We had an assortment of appetizers and fish main courses. Overall the food was good, fresh and well prepared. They have an extensive selection of fish although the availability changes depending on the catches that week. Can't speak to the value as we were treated by family but it was definitely an enjoyable lunch and if we had the opportunity to go back we would.

*30 May 2023* Great atmosphere especially on a sunny day. You'll get a nice breeze even if you are sitting inside. The portion were huge and satisfying and very nicely cooked. I had Megrim, and it was perfectly tender and not fishy at all... loved every bite. Sauce was just nice enough to compliment the fish but not to cover the taste. Would love to try other dishes as well if we ever have a chance (we are visiting Plymouth for few days).

The Rock Inn is a historic building that houses a family-run pub featuring three distinct bars and a menu showcasing dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The culinary offerings at this establishment are highly regarded, ranging from traditional pub classics to innovative gastronomic creations. Visitors praise the quick service and high-quality, piping hot meals, including delectable options like fish and chips, veg cassoulet, Sunday roasts, scampi and chips, as well as curry of the day.
I loved the 3 cheese tart with salad and new potatoes. My friends had the fish & chips and the curry and were really pleased with their meals as well. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A great eat and meet place for everyone. We arrived at 4pm and a full menu was still a available. Do visit.

Such a lovely place to stop for lunch after a long dog walk! The food is wonderful. I prefer to sit outside with the dogs but they’re welcome indoors too. A really lovely gem in the local area and recommended to all!

Really great first time at the Rock Inn today. We booked in last minute after our walk around the reservoir and the staff were accommodating and friendly. I’m vegetarian so had the nut roast, and I couldn’t believe how flavourful and filling it was (I’ve had plenty of bad, dry ones)… My partner said the topside of beef was really good too! We were impressed by the amount of vegetables we were given and the gravy is worth a special mention too as it was super rich! We asked for for more. The roast potatoes were incredible too, they’re crispy but melt in mouth. Would defo come back ☺️

Delightful discovery! Usual story of hungry travellers going past and just decided to drop in for a supper, on a rainy, wintry Sunday evening. We were not disappointed, in addition to some great looking Sunday roast plated meals, there were some very strong bar meals with an excellent range of starters for myself and my vegetarian wife. She had scampi and chips and I went for the curry of the day as it was a red Thai pork curry with rice and chutney. Quite superb and no room for desserts. Very happy and thoughtful staff who certainly added to our enjoyment. Our only disappointment was that we do not live nearer!

Went to the Rock to catch up with friends for dinner, the burger was good but the bread and butter pudding let it down. The cream had split. Service was good even tho it was very busy.
Mike Lister — Google review
Busy Sunday and we still found outside seating and got served very quickly. The roast was tasty with very generous servings of veg, meat, roasties, Yorkshire pud and gravy. It does cost a bit more than other places but fair considering the quality of the food. Great stop off on the way home after a long stroll on the moors too.
Samantha Henderson — Google review
Very welcoming - lovely outside seating. A sign on Drake's Trail invited cyclists to stop at the Inn - so we did! Didn't see anywhere to lock bikes up, but we were able, along with many others to prop ours against a bench outside. They may have cycle parking we just didn't notice it, as we were too busy thinking about our bellies 😄 The food was excellent - I recommend the steak and ale pie, it was delicious!
Dorinda — Google review
On the plus side, this pub has an area inside where dogs are allowed. The food however was a disappointment, it was a Sunday roast from 30 years ago, a reasonable sized portion with good beef, not overcooked, but roasts potatoes were soft, vegetables over cooked, a thick gravy but lacked a good flavour, possibly just made from some granules or the like. Worst were the Yorkshire puddings, not very big and not well risen, lacking in any real flavour. I would suggest it's somewhere that has just kept doing the same thing for many years, other than having increased the peice, whereas others have moved on, and expectations increased. Better available in the area for the same cost.

Bloody smashing Sunday roast still serving till 8pm. I had the nut roast, sis had chicken. Both piping hot, served incredibly quickly, veg all freshly done, top notch all round. Back again 3 weeks later for Saturday dinner. Again we hadn't booked & managed to fit us in. Great fish & chips & veg cassoulet, great beers, great service. Will no doubt be back. Back again 2 weeks later for Saturday dinner for 4 of us. Burgers, steak & ale pie & risotto from the specials all super. As always, staff couldn't be more friendly & accommodating. Excellent service.

Our food was very good. I had a prawn baguette with a side salad. One of the best prawn baguettes I have had in a long time. The side salad was fresh and had a lovely dressing on it. We had a table in the window which was great. The staff were very attentive and we couldn't fault the service. The food came out very quickly even though there were several tables occupied. The ladies toilets were very clean.
Lisa Webber — Google review
It's a good pub... it doesn't always feel as though the key staff have the best people skills... but that may just be me. Have to say that my last meal up there was very good. It seems to have come up a notch. Beers and drinks, I'd say, are top end in terms of pricing. BUT, it is still going ... for that one has to be thankful. Wrt atmosphere, it, like any other pub is, a bit hit and miss. With 4 reception areas, it does take some filling for the atmosphere to generate, but when it is good, it is good. The pub does put on a very good music festival each year in the summer.
Colin West — Google review
Beautiful old pub, done out really smartly with really friendly and helpful staff. A great old fortress-like building. I have to say that I thought the food was poor though. Mains are £14-20; my burger was totally tasteless and my wife said the fish and chips were better in Wetherspoons!
Tim Hole — Google review
The food here is top notch. I just can't risk trying anything else on the menu because the steak and ale pie is so good!! And as I have discovered yesterday, the bread and butter pudding is probably the greatest food I have EVER tasted. Service was excellent and atmosphere perfect.

Such a wonderful pub! The service and atmosphere is impeccable; perfect place for Sunday lunch. Portions are generous without being too much and the quality of the food is second to none. I’ll definitely be back 😊
Amy “Lou” Lakey — Google review
The Rock is an above average pub. The food is fine, pretty good standard pub grub. Prices are a little higher than some other pubs around. There's not the biggest selection of beers but there's usually a couple of local ales on tap and a good range of other drinks. The biggest thing going for the Rock is that it's a big pub so there's often a table and the couple of different bars means there's a range of atmospheres. The restaurant at the front is smarter or there's a more relaxed bar in the back. I wouldn't go out of my way to come, but equally if it's at the end of a walk or ride then you can't go far wrong here.

Pub
Bar
Warren House Inn is a 19th-century moorland inn with oak beams and open fires, serving real ales and hearty pub-grub. It is located between Princetown and Moretonhampstea and is well known for its hospitality.
Great country pub and a fantastic place to start or finish your ramble across Dartmoor. Friendly team serving well kept good beer, good food, in a warm environment complete with a log fire that has apparently been burning since 1845! Parking is along the moor road, or in car parks a short walk away… well worth driving out to!
Dan — Google review
Good old pub which retains original features. The fire has been going continuously for 177 years now (used to be peat, but now logs). Good selection of beers and food. Plenty of seating indoors and a nice view of Dartmoor out the windows. Friendly staff.
William Mahy — Google review
A wonderful little pub overlooking the lovely views of the moors when on a sunny clear day. Parking is limited and beware of the sheep! Though they run away if you get to near. Inside the bar has two beautiful open fires which one has been burning for many years. You can sit in the bar or chose to sit in the dining areas or outside if weather permitted. Well decorated with old pictures of the place on the walls. Nice simple menu that you order up at the bar. Had the cheeseburger with came with chips and a small salad. And sticky toffee pudding with custard. The chips were yummy! But I didn't think burger was worth it's price. The pudding was nice although the top was slightly burnt so could taste that. Food is nicely presented. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would come back again as its a little treasure of a place.
Rachel AC — Google review
A real no nonsense pub. Ramblers, dogs, children, the works, all welcome. A good range of beers and ciders, honest no nonsense, very tasty pub grub. A 150 year old fire, a bleak and rugged view, what's not to like.

This is a pub in its purest form. Warm and welcoming staff with a great choice of drinks and pub grub - much needed after hiking around the local Tors. The building feels very retro, especially inside, with a lot of original features which gives the pub a certain charm. The views from the outdoor seating area are stunning. Definitely worth a visit!

The Warren House Inn, nestled in the heart of Dartmoor, is a true gem that offers a delightful dining experience. I was captivated by its warm atmosphere and the breathtaking view of the surrounding moorland. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the roast dinner and the pub's location truly sets it apart from the rest. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn't help but gaze out at the panoramic vista of Dartmoor. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. Whether you're seeking a relaxing meal in a picturesque setting or looking to explore Dartmoor's wonders, this pub is an absolute must-visit.

Dropped in for a drink whilst driving across Dartmoor. It's in a very isolated situation but with glorious views across open moorland. There is outside seating but we chose to sit inside. A nice pint of Otter ale. The famous fire was a welcome sight.

Had great long walk to waterfall we called on off chance for dinner, no problem they said. Lovely home cooked food, good size portions, great drinks range, log fire, classic old style pub snd great service! Mask needed, Perspex sectioning, they’ve gone to great lengths to try and keep everyone safe, we really appreciate lengths they go to and will be back!
Jonty Solomons — Google review
The food was okay - excellent quality ingredients but nothing crazy! The real gem is the atmosphere. It's so cosy and welcoming, especially after a long walk!! And there was a lot of information about the history which my family and I enjoyed a lot.
Liv Carus — Google review
This was such a lovely pub all the staff were friendly and kind. They welcome dogs, even a very large one like mine. They came out to give him a treat and were happy to let him eat a sausage as we ate our food. The food was incredible. I had the rabbit pie and I haven’t eaten such a good pie in years. To top it all off my dog got a little sick probably from al lathe water he drank while on our walk on the moor beforehand and when I he was sick they didn’t get annoyed or stressed, they simply came over to provide me with a small tub and some tissues to sort it and then even disposed of it for me after. 10/10 place make sure you visit!

This is a must do visit if you are in the area. Sunny days you can sit outside pub or across the road on benches to take in the fantastic views. Colder days there is plenty of room inside with the fire burning. Friendly barman, great beer and cider choices, a good lunchtime menu and a biscuit for the dog! Highly recommend

Lovely atmospheric pub, wonderful views over Dartmoor with warming fire. Food was wonderful, good honest fare. Steak baguette was just what needed after morning on the moors - children's fish fingers was large portion, well worth it. Under 14s only allowed within specific room, so be aware when visiting. Dessert was a wonderful apple and raspberry crumble. Staff all friendly

A gem of a old pub. And a warm welcome from the landlord. Our dog was very welcome which was brilliant. Our dog took to the landlord straight away, so that's all I needed to know. Had a lovely pint of ale and a jumbo sauage and chips. A very warm atmosphere and the smell of the open fire was just perfect.
