The Captains Table, a restaurant in Fraserburgh called Nooks & Crannies, is highly praised for its delightful ambience and cheerful staff who offer helpful recommendations for sightseeing and exploring the local historical sites. The food is exceptional, characterized by its high quality, freshness, and deliciousness. The seating area is perfectly arranged with tasteful artworks adorning the walls. This establishment not only impresses with its cuisine but also creates a great vibe that results in a truly wonderful dining experience.
Lovely food and even lovelier people serving it! Started with the langoustine and enjoyed the halibut for our entrees. Everything was fresh as can be and delicious. Josh is a master in the kitchen. Will definitely return if we find ourselves in Fraserburgh again!

You can’t miss this place! This restaurant has delicious food, amazing service, the waitress, chef, the owners are wonderful and lovely persons, they were beyond attentive and warm. I went there to have a meal before joining a vessel and they were super kind and friendly with me, if I board a vessel again in Fraserburgh. I’ll make sure to go and try another of their delicious dishes, highly recommend! Thanks for all your kindness 🫶🏼! I wish for more persons like you:)

Amazing service and great food. Spotless restaurant with genuine friendly staff. We had a great time for a family celebrations. My fish was cooked perfectly, the chips were amazing and the sticky toffee pudding was honestly the best I've ever had. Light sponge with deliciously sweet sauce and local ice cream.

Met young chef Josh at the Scottish Lighthouse museum in the morning (he was helping young people start a café). Later we had dinner at the restaurant he works for, the Captains Table in Fraserborough. Family feeling, Nice Food, great drinks, fresh fish and sticky toffee pudding + merengue to go. Recommended🧡

Haven't had scollops for over 20 years and this place has made me regret not having more of them! Fantastic and full of flavour bringing you a heartwarming experience beside the sea. Tried the main creamy Cajun chicken: Great balance of spice and flavour and not too thick on sauce, giving you an option of rice or chips or both! Chicken very tender and blended so well with the peppers and not overpowering, perfectly balanced, rustic and homemade dish. Black Forrest cheesecake was delicious, really nice and filling. Had a look at the sticky toffee pudding which also looked fantastic. If you have a sweet tooth this place is lovely for desserts. Their homemade fish cakes provide good value for buck, very filling and their blue cheese sauce very tasty, I'm personally not a fan for cheese and fish together but it was a very good combination, fish cake fans be surprised! Staff extremely friendly and felt very welcomed, great place to experience wether it's the taste of the sea and to simply have nice fresh feel good food with a fair value on price. Would definitely come here again with friends and family.

The food was excellent, especially the fish and the soup. Recommend trying the specials. We tried the specials for the started and ordered 2 maine for 4 persons, because the portions are pretty filling.

This restaurant deserves 5stars ++ everything is cleaned over chairs, tables, and mats once you leave. Glasses are clean, hot good fresh food, delicous food - starters, main and desserts. We ate a few times whilst in the town and keep going back. All food is sourced from local farmers and butchers, and made on the premises. Nespresso coffees, and a large selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks, are available. The kids menu is fresh made and reasonable prices. The cleanest toilets I have been in ever!! Nothing is too much trouble for this restaurant and staff - they also let out their 3 bed flat 'The Upper Deck', it's a must! Beautiful fresh clean bedding and immaculately clean inside. It can be booked through the captains table or on air bnb, the beds are so comfortable, washing machine, TV, microwave etc, don't take my word for it check it out yourself, but remember they get booked up quick so if your up that way book a table in advance! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing food. Great ambience. Fantastic waitress. Great vibe. Wonderful experience. Lovely people. I'd give it a Michelin star if I was a food critic, not just someone that loves Great food and fresh produce. Wouldn't hesitate to return again and again. Thanks lovelies.

Great atmosphere , the staff are bubbly people - the waiter is great at advising on places to see if you're here for a getaway for sightseeing and places of rich history. Food was of high quality , fresh and delicious. The seating area is laid out perfectly, not cluttered with perfect bits of art on the wall.

Restaurant
Findlay's Fish Bar & Diner offers a delightful selection of fresh fish and delicious chips that are definitely worth the visit. Their jumbo prawns stand out as some of the finest seafood available, sourced just 100 yards away at the port. The seafood is expertly prepared, with a perfect batter and frying technique that earns them top marks. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring a well-organized experience with proper COVID measures in place.
Fresh fish and good chips, only that would be worth the detour. But the jumbo prawns are some of the best seafood I ever had, landed 100yards across the street in port. Fresh, battered just right and fried perfectly. All the stars. Very friendly, well organized with COVID measures in place. Unassuming store but fish, chips & seafood done perfectly.

Wanted to try the fish and chips in Fraserburgh as we saw them caught at the harbour. Looks like we chose the right place and came to Findlay's Fish Bar & Diner. The fish was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The chips were just amazing. Even with two big families, they still served us quickly. The staff were lovely. Service was great. We all enjoyed our delicious meals.
Erica Liew — Google review
Very good fish and chips, fish was very fresh and tasty. When we got to the takeaway the fish was delivered like 15 minutes before us. The owner is very pleasant. 100% recommended.

If you eat out anywhere in Fraserburgh, this makes a very good choice. The food was so good and fresh and even the standard fish and chips was a very large portion. The staff are lovely and friendly, as others have said. This is a business which has been in the family for generations, and I would say this reflects in the service. Seems like a place that's well loved and popular with the locals. All this gives it a great community feel.
Mark K — Google review
Absolutely delicious fish and chips; super fresh. Service was incredible. Mr Findlay had plenty of time to chat and offer local knowledge and information, including very exact details about where and when the fish was caught. Amazing covid safe systems in place too. Outstanding customer service!

Hands down the best fish and chips we’ve had in the UK. Classic pub food made with quality products really makes the difference. Wonderful service, genuine & lovely owner 👍
Th?ophane Anestis — Google review
I enjoyed the fish and chips as it well prepared. The barbecue source test fresh and the service was top-notch. Aside that the environment was clean and welcoming. After my lunch, I visited the fraserburgh water front, lots of side attractions, making the town friendly and relaxed. Please if you dear for a good fish and chips, please visit this Chiper.
Mark Ushie — Google review
Delicious food specially the fish and chips but not only. Very friendly service with extra tips for local highlights. Take a break there!
Thilo Kurtz — Google review
Disappointingly the chip shop like a lot of others in the area have changed their oil to something very cheap in taste, leaves a terrible after taste and stinks. The food is usually still cooked well but recent special was clearly refried, both over cooked and greasy internally. Finding a competent chippy that is consistent and reliable seems to be a thing of the past.
Ian Fisher — Google review
We got a takeaway, met at the door with a slip of paper with our car details on, even though we parked up the road!! Ordered, went back to the car, food was brought to the car window in less than 10 minutes, and it was very very good!

Findlay's Fish Bar & Diner is a "can't miss". Cosy seating with walls covered in local fishing stories, the staff is welcoming and warm. If you have the chance, try the Cullen Skink soup- absolutely out of this world! Great prices, incredibly fresh seafood, and a very personal experience awaits you!
Amy Alfier — Google review
The best ever fish and chips, the haddock was so fresh and the Cullen Skink superb. Well done.
Clive Warren — Google review
2very happy Americans stopped in for some very fresh seafood!! Cullen Skink Soup and Fraserburgh Langoustines - THE BEST!! Their 89 yr in the fishing industry, incredible stories on their walls. Granny and great granny cleaning herring, as many as 60 herring a minute. I love this place❣️🦞 the drive to Pennan and Gardenstown were lovely, thank you!!
Debbie Rayworth — Google review
Had a meal here tonight and I've got to say it was just fantastic. I had the breaded Jumbo Haddock, chips, peas and curry sauce - for pudding I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The fish was so fresh, cooked to perfection (Not over cooked) and the chips were the best I've had for a good few years. The sticky toffee pudding was so good. The service was excellent and very attentive. Would definitely recommend a meal here.

I recently discovered the Peartree Coffee House and Bistro, located just a short 20-minute drive away. The modern interior and friendly staff made for a pleasant atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with dishes like blaggis bon bons, slow roasted pork belly with black pudding, duo of prawn and langoustine, and monk fillet all receiving high praise. I can't wait to return to this lovely restaurant that offers a very high standard of cuisine.
Lovely food, family friendly place. Staff is very welcoming, a great selection of seafood and other meals available. Good children menu. We really enjoyed eating here and we will be back in the future. Thank you!

Best seafood lunch I ever had! All the foods , specifically pasta and salad were brilliant!
Kazi Tamanna — Google review
This is a lovely restaurant, the food is of a very high standard. We shared the seafood platter, there was more than enough for the two of us. It's one of those restaurants where you squeeze in a dessert, not because you're hungry but the food is so delicious you can't stop eating. Avoid this place if you're on a diet. Will definitely go again.

If I could, I would give 10 stars for service! The food was so fresh. I ordered a half lobster which everyone could easily tell it was freshly caught. The Cullen Skink was so smokey. Delicious! The waiting staff was incredibly sincere and I couldn't help but to give a tip for his great hospitality.

I'm not sure how we didn't know this place existed until last week given its only a 20 minute drive away but now we know we will be back. Nice modern interior and lovely staff compliment the food which was fantastic. I had blaggis bon bons and slow roasted pork belly with black pudding and my good lady had duo of prawn and langoustine followed by the monk fillet, everything tasted great and was properly cooked. Can't wait to go back.

So good to see a place in Fraserburgh showcasing the fantastic seafood landed there. The menu here has lots of tempting choices and the seafood board and lobster were amazing. £29 for locally caught lobster is an absolute bargain. Very good service from the friendly staff also. I wish the Pear Tree every success and hope to return soon.

3 of us wanted a light meal as were headed to a party so we all had a starter and dessert. The food was amazing and the mocktails we enjoyed were delicious. We will definitely come back for a full meal next time.

Great food and excellent service. I expected the seafood to be good but it exceeded my expectations. Perfectly cook and a well presented plate of ample portion. The bistro has a great ambiance, well decorated and immaculately clean. We had a special evening and I would highly recommend a visit.

Visited yesterday for some breakfast with my wife. She had pancakes and I had a full cooked breakfast. Pancakes were freshly made and laden with loads of fruit. My cooked breakfast was lovely. Will be back.

Dissapointing lunch. Was out with 2 members of the family and we all had battered chicken fillets and bbq sauce. We expected the chicken fillets to be fresh and homemade....... they were frozen only 5 small chicken bits. The bbq sauce again you would expect to be homemade, tasted like it was from a bottle, also the peas tatsted cheap like they were from a tin and they were scarce. Onions rings frozen not homemade. We all had milkshakes, no flavour very bland. Atogether it was £57.44...... not value for money and still hungry. We won't be rushing back.

Food in the restaurant was really good but the service could've been a little better

The staff in the restaurant were lovely but it was so cold we had to eat our lunch with our coats on. The young lady that served us in the shop was so helpful I would give her a gold star, the shop was also cold. I would suggest to the person who is responsible for running the shop that they keep the heating on even at a low temperature over the holiday season.

Always enjoy. Really friendly atmosphere with a children's play area. Although it is legal for women to breastfeed anywhere, it can be a reassuring sight for new mums or ones lacking confidence in public, to see a breastfeeding friendly sign that they have up. Always good food and very generous portions.

Hotel
English restaurant
Findlay's Hotel & Restaurant is a charming establishment that offers complimentary breakfast and parking. The hotel boasts a beautiful glass-enclosed restaurant and a bar for guests to enjoy. However, some aspects of the hotel may be underwhelming, such as the absence of breakfast service and accessibility issues in the wet room and dining area. The wet room features a shower tray in one corner along with a sliding shower seat, which could potentially pose risks for disabled guests using it independently.
Lovely hotel, plenty food for evening meals, bit of a let down, they don't do breakfast. Very Disappointed with the only accessible wet room. There was a shower tray in the corner where the shower was and a shower seat that slid about. An accident waiting to happen if a disabled guest tried to access this on their own. Same goes for dinner, the ramp into the dining area is too steep and only the width of one door, leaving no room for wheelchair error as we found out. Luckily two dining guests came to our aid when my wife's wheelchair went over the edge, stopping her from falling 12 inches.

Meal wasn't what I expected chicken and the strips was very dry and the battered onions rings looked like they were defrosted then frozen again then taken out of the freezer and then thrown into the frier because when they arrived at the table it was just one big lump stuck together we did mention it to waitress she told us that she would let the chef know so I give a generous 3/10

Stayed there with work and found the rooms to be bright and spacious and the staff very friendly. From what I could see the location was less than 5 mins drive to amenities. Ate in the restaurant their had the locally sourced haddock which was really good. I felt the bed wasn't that comfortable but was only staying 1 night so not that big a deal.
