For the second time we had an unsatisfactory experience. The food and service is no longer up to an acceptable standard. The food was either tasteless or burnt and the we felt ignored from the moment we sat down. It's very disappointing because it used to be so lovely here.

I went with 2 friends and their dog. They were stopping off as part of a long journey so we needed a quick meal. We received an excellent welcome and our drinks and meal were delivered promptly as requested. The presentation of the meal was first class and lovely to eat. The meal was excellent value for what we paid.

We visited the Paisley Pear on Northampton Road in Brackley. There was a group of around 20-30 of my family members attending a birthday meal and we had a brilliant time. A lady called Caroline I believe served us and was extremely helpful and her customer service was second to none. The food was delicious and the service was quick considering how many of us there were. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the staff that were there that night.

Had the pleasure of eating here today and the vegan options were amazing! I had the vegan chilli buger and my partner had the peppered mushroom and root veg pie. Our meals were absolutely delicious and we look forward to returning to try their other vegan options. Very impressed. Thank you Chequered Flag for going above and beyond the standard vegan options!

The current landlord/landlady have raised the general standards immensely. Two adults and three children ate meals. All good except too limited on vegan/vegetarian menus like no quorn sausages or other products which are extremely popular! Service good. I’d go again if more to choose on menu as above!

Recently moved to the area and decided to visit The Chequered Flag for a meal after a long tiring day moving up from London. We were welcomed warmly and seated to a table. There was plenty of choice but we both opted for the fish and chips! What we both really enjoyed the most was the outstanding service we received from our waitress, Lily. She was extremely polite and friendly and really did go that extra mile to make our experience pleasurable. This will definitely be a regular of ours from now. Thank you.

Recommend to family, they all had a lovely time and will be returning again, everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks, suitable for all ages. A friendly and warm environment.

We visited the pub today, it was really busy the service was great. We ordered food the food came out very quick and tasted delicious. Highly recommend this place great location.

Tonight was worst experience at the Chequerd Flag that we have ever had. Usually the food is great and the service is good. I ordered the sharers vegan nachos. I said to the manager when delivered that I ordered the one for two people. Which I paid 10.48. he said the portions are measured, I was really not happy with the size. And honestly it would have impacted my view of the restaurant. I very rarely ever complain about a meal or service but as I was really looking forward to the nachos I had complained. The manager offered to take the portion away and make another one. I didn't want to waste the food, I was just disappointed in the portion size as I had 30 nachos or partial nachos and 28 beans for the chilly. But instead of wasting it I would eat it. The taste was really nice. A little bit later the manager came to the table with another nacho sharer. And explained that he wanted the customer to be Happy. I really appreciate him taking this step to turn around a situation that could have meant that I avoided the Cheque Flag in the future to one that I would rate as high customer service. I know there is srinkflation everywhere so I guess it is to be expected that you have reduced the recipe for the menu item...but maybe just a smidge more on the nachos. But thank you to the staff and the manager. And the cooks chef as it definitely tasted nice and they were willing to ensure that we were satisfied customers.

The food was ok. However there was no dressing on salad and The silver where was dirty. It wasn't very crowded. They were playing good music. And the service was ok. The restaurant however smelled bad and there was no soap to wash your hands.

I booked 22nd not realising I had tapped 23rd, all turned up for meal and of course wrong date. Lady who said they had no tables to accommodate as we had booked for next day. So I went in and explained the situation checked with lady and said there was nothing available ,so went and said to family let's find another place just as leaving manager came out and said there's a booth available which would accommodate us ,brilliant service from the manager lady looked like she had to swallow her pride. Excellent service and from the young lady who served us.

Lovely little cafe tucked back off the main road. Food cooked to order, all Covid guidelines followed. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back! Does get very busy for breakfast, booking recommended. Ooh and cakes are also very tempting!

Always receive a warm welcome from Mel at Courtyard Coffee House. The coffee is really good and not expensive and Kevin's food is first-rate, the portions very generous. It's cooked to order and can take time but it's always worth the wait.

Very friendly place. Great value and delicious food. The breakfast sandwiches are labelled as "door stop" - they are indeed! Very generous slices of bread; knife and fork may be required. Overall an excellent cafe with very helpful staff - highly recommended.

My new favourite cafe. It says in the window: We do fresh food not fast food. If you're in a rush, don't choose us. The attitude and atmosphere here is superb. Calming and unrushed just as promised. Their breakfast omelette is a game changer!

Lovely place to come and have coffee and food. They stress that if your in a hurry this isn’t the place for you as everything is cooked fresh. I had the bubble, bacon and eggs as per the picture and they was lovely.

Very dismissive and rude , arrived and there was no room for us , no problem , we were leaving politely no issues . staff rudely dismissed us and rudely asked to close the door as letting the cold in on our way out . Not impressed with the Tone at all . Not the way to treat customers .

To be fair I have mixed reviews of this place, first time I ordered lamb it was very chewy, the following couple of times I ordered chicken and the dishes were good. I thought I would give the benefit of the doubt and ordered lamb again, much to my disappointment it was very chewy again. Makes me re-think my next delivery choice as the chicken dishes were quite tasty but the lamb is very disappointing.

Haven't been in for years as I moved away. So happy we chose this Indian for our curry while visiting. Super tasty food, good friendly service. Busy on a Tuesday night, which to me is a great sign of being one of the best in the area!

It was ok, arrived in the time slot advised. Sadly, the dish I ordered arrived incorrectly, I ordered chicken and what arrived was Lamb, can't stand lamb so kinda ruined the whole meal but being 9 and a half months pregnant I really couldn't be bothered to call up and wait for the correct dish to be redelivered (was past 8pm) so just had the sauce of the dish with rice and my nan bread. Not sure what they put in the food but both of us are probably what is causing this crazy wind today 🤣 would probably order again at some point but not in a rush to.

Me and my partner ordered a delivery and it came in record time! The food was as usual, the tastiest about. The delivery was next level. He was so happy and I will be coming by to give him the tip he deserves. Took us both by surprise how fast it came. Felt like I was a royal or celeb with the service we had! Plus the car it was delivered in was sexy af and sounded like a dream!! Never ordering from elsewhere!!

Spoilt for choice of curry houses in Brackley but the very best food (and only 5-star kitchen rated,) is Chilli & Pepper. The service is always brilliant & with a smile and banter. The guys have been there forever and you feel like you know them and they never seem to forget you a trait I love. The food is absolutely delicious, very fresh and the range of dishes seems to suits every taste (I enjoy vegetarian etc options and love the cheese BBQ type dish). The dine-in is really peaceful, and fun, and as I am a little anxious with covid we always feel really safe. Often we call and preorder & collect for specific time, and it’s always ready ontime and safely packaged. I cannot recommend highly enough and we have tried them all. Big shout out to this curry house. Support local as they really deserve it. They make such a fantastic effort in every area. Love it.

I love a good Indian and this isn’t it. The chicken tika Marsala (my favorite dish) was rammed full of chilis and frankly tasted like the fires of hell. No flavour, just heat. Never tasted anything like it. If you want a decent curry go to the Dahn Shiri next door!

We went there as a Group last Thursday night. The food was amazing. Service was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly, polite & efficient. We were a big group of 15 but they got everyone's order right, hot & totally delicious. Highly recommended

Although the service was very good, the food was very bland and had little to no flavour. There was also a small metal wire (from one of the cleaning brushes in the kitchen) found in my friend's nann bread. We told our waiter and to be fair to the restaurant, they did give us a substantial discount on the final bill and apologised, which was appreciated. However, I would not come here again due to the quality of the food.

We have had many takeaways from this curry house, the guys are so friendly, the food delicious and service impeccable. Will definitely miss them when we move. Highly recommended, Julie and Dave.

Me and my family went on a Monday, was busy, but wasn’t a long wait till we was served. Great service, 3 off us had the steak deal, which was cooked perfectly, and got more than we thought for £10. Amazing deal. I had the burger, was tasty. Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommend!

Lovely pub. In the main part it is more an eating place but there is a cocktail section on a Friday and Saturday night. Food is plentiful and I've never had a bad meal here. Book in advance though to ensure you get in. Our go to local 👍🏻

You get a proper pie here! No silly ramekins with puff pastry lids. Great food and value for money. Lovely atmosphere and friendly efficient service. I'll be back for more.

A great traditional pub with friendly staff. Had a delicious Sunday roast and when I was unexpectedly back in the area a few days later I went back. The bar meal was equally as good and good portion size. Highly recommend.

This place was recommended to me for the service and food. We visited at the weekend and they didn't let us down. We had their steak and wine offer and the service and food was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection, the meal was delicious, the environment was warm and cosy and the pub is immaculate with super friendly staff. Highly recommended for food!

Well cooked food and every attempt to accommodate the different needs of the 3 people in our party. We had a comfortable table next to the fire - a lovely atmosphere. However the highest accolade must go to the person who served our table, who did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our lunchtime meal today: friendly, good humoured and very efficient.

We were treated by my son and partner to Sunday lunch, the best Sunday lunch I've had in a pub, just like home cooking. Good choice efficiently served, beautifully cooked and a good price.

Chips were very dry and not seasoned. Burger was dry and had no sauce in. Kofti kebab meat was OK but a little over cooked again no sauce dispite ordering it. When the best bit of the take out is the salad you know it's not good. Vary disappointing :(

Great chicken shish with chips, medium portion was smaller than in other chippies I used, but the ratio of everything was perfect and it tasted great! Can’t wait to try other stuff

Oh my word!.. I've been blown away!.. Top quality, delicious taste, value for your money & the best service ever!.. We ordered takeaway, it only took 45 minutes & delivered piping hot, with a friendly smile.. I need to add that there was a problem with my credit card & we scanned it twice because the first transaction didn't go through, but the lovely lady that delivered came back to us in 15 minutes to give us cash back as she had discovered that it went through twice.. We would highly recommend this place without a doubt..

Disgusting dirty place ordered a burger it came with massive long black hair wound round the meat . I called and was hung up on disgusting repulsive food and repulsive attitude to their food standards . Rude to their customers and it’s like getting blood out of a stone if u want ur money back . They do not follow instructions on the invoice either so what’s the point of having it there ? The girls do not wear hair nets and they have hip length hair . Poor standards filthy people . Never arnser the phone either and the man’s really rude also every time their is a problem . Was told they would collect food but didn’t know when so they had no intentions in sorting it out it was left as it was all night . Now takeing food to the shop to show all the waiting customers their hairy food . Brackley kebab is the best place to eat they do rectify any problems refund or replace no arguments but these people exspect u to pay good money and pull their hairs out and be ignorant. I wouldn’t eat someone else’s hairy food if I was paid to so I do not exspect it if iv paid good money sort it out pizza rolls u used to be good when u care about ur customers and business will be reporting to the council first thing as u havnt had a good review in ages and they are all the same complaints

Really disappointed to say I ordered food for delivery through foodhub. Ordered and paid at 9.30pm was told delivery by 11pm. I called them just after 11 to ask if food would be here soon to be told they had attempted delivery 4 times and there was no answer. I explained that noone had been to my house, Id been in the whole time and was sat possibly 2 meters away from the front door in the living room so there was no way I had missed them knocking 4 times. I asked if she had read my instructions to get to the house as where we live the postcode takes you elsewhere, it was at this point she read those instructions and said they would deliver at some point but couldn't tell me when (therefore my understanding she went to the wrong address) I explained it was very late and that actually I'd rather go to bed than wait for the food if no ETA was available, it was 11.15 at this point so I didn't think this was unreasonable. I asked for a refund, I was shouted at and told no, she said she tried to call me but again no missed call on the number I left on the instructions. (which she hadn't read) Eventually she hung up on me and is refusing to refund. I have contacted foodhub to which she said informed them she had delivered, and therefore foodhub refused my refund also. As someone who works in this industry the last thing I wanted to do was leave a negative review, I had hoped to resolve this privately, however I am now left with no choice, I'd just like a refund of a product I never received, I don't think this is an unreasonable request!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! I placed an order at 8.15pm to the Premier Inn down the road, I was told it should be 45 min but if they could do it sooner they would. I call at 9pm and am told they will be leaving the shop then and will be 10 mins max. I call back at 9.15pm and they lie and tell me the A43 is closed and they are en-route and will be around 5 mins. It's now 10pm and I have no pizza and have not eaten all evening :(
