Went to eat there after reading the positive reviews. However, when we went there the service was very poor - the waitresses were cold and made us feel unwelcome (unlike other restaurants we've been in Alsace where you are greeted with a welcoming and friendly staff). We also saw a hair in the food and they reluctantly agreed to sort it out, which is again unusual for restaurants. The service took ages too - we had to wait about 30 min for our starter to come and in the end spend nearly 3 hours for our visit due to the long delays. The food itself was ok, but some of the other restaurants we've been were nicer for a similar price. In short, l'd recommend trying the myriad of other places which have similar price, equal/better food and a far better and friendlier service.

Goodness me, the choucroute royale was enough for the week...huge portion. Excellent choucroute. In a prime position for tourists so was a little unsure before I went in, but the service was great and very friendly.

The succelent pig we ordered was very dry and certainly not fresh! The bread basket contained bread from yesterday. I would not recommend this place!

Quite a disappointing experience. Salad was sandy, service was beyond overwhelmed and disoriented. I used to visit this place years ago and enjoyed the traditional cooking. This will be the end of that... the only thing that saves them from a 1 star is their price for the menu.

We shared the sourkrout (Choucroute garnie) and the calf's head and both were delicious. These dishes are not for everyone but they were both excellently prepared and well presented. Desert was delicious. Good selection of 1/2 bottles from Alsace. Definitely worth a stop.

Despite the long waiting time, we have had the best dinner so far in Alsace. Great wines, gourmet and delicious dishes and a superb tiramisu! Highly recommended

Second time up there as a very large group. Plenty of space to park. Food is as good as it can be in this kind of typical place but ain’t spectacular. Perfect for kids, plenty of space for them to play.

Nice location and terras. Good for drinks. The two times we went for dinner, the food was rather dissappointing and one of the waiters unfriendly. Also much waiting and with mistakes in orders. It's a rather crowded place in the evening but I think most people go here simply because there are no alternatives in the direct neighborhood.

Went today with a group of 5 people total. Four of us had bouchée à la reine and the othe had vegetable soup. The bouchée was delicious according to the four of us who had this dish. The meat was very tender and the mushroon and sauce blended very well with the veal. I also had escargots which was the best I ever tasted. We had to order the desserts to go since the serving of the main course was enough to fill us up.

Very good food. Prices are ok as well. The surrounding is very nice since it’s in the forest. Was hard to get a table there... would recommend to book in advance.

We had a table of 7 and tried four dishes, two of them specials. The Bouchee a la Reine was served with spaetzle and was delicious, and very generous portions. The Coq au Riesling was also delicious. I also had my first Picon which I really enjoyed. All in all a very nice dining experience.

We went there for NYE: food was fantastic and service excellent. We had a pregnant women in our party and they made sure the food was adapted for her needs. Totally recommended!
