Nice and fast staff. The food is tasty, except for the pizza, which tastes better with Italians. Menu is also available in Dutch, German, English. Price performance ratio is okay.

Restaurant was full with big groups so we were happy to have booked. Food was really good and came really fast. Very good and friendly service! The Puoluka martini was really nice

This place is a mix of everything. They have pizzas and reindeer dishes, fish also. They didn’t really have any starters either. I had the arctic char and it was overcooked and didn’t have much flavour what so ever, small portion also for a price of 29 eur. The restaurant was also empty and pretty dark - that’s for the atmosphere. I am not sure I would return here.

Fantastic cozy restaurant close to the village center. Excellent service, excellent food and they even have their own branded beer with local herbs (Väinö). Very moderately priced for fancier dining. Best food experience in this area for sure.

Good quality food, nice staff. Recommend to have the Baked Alaska for dessert. Ice-cream with baked "fluff" SOOO good!! 👌👌(Pike Perch also very good!)

Great place it opens at 12:00. We where out xc skiing and stoped by to warm up. Salmon soup was just magic very tasty and warmed me up instantly. Very friendly stuff service was very good. And atmosphere of place very nice. Loved this place

The atmosphere is very calming and the service was excellent. Nevertheless, my reindeer pizza's only flaw were the tiny pieces of reindeer that I could barely feel. The crust, though has the right texture and the cheese was delicious. Would recommend.

Food came out 30 mins later than the other guests on the table and it was cold. No word of apology from the waitress or offer to make it up. If food would have been warm it would be pretty good though not the best in town. For the price point there are better options in town…

10/10 restaurant. Came on a Saturday day without a reservation, the restaurant was packed but we were lucky to get a table. The food was exceptional, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had the arctic char and the reindeer and they were both delicious. Great flavour and texture combinations with the accompanying vegetables. For desert, we had the chocolate cake and the bake Alaska and they were both great. The ice cream was delicious too. The staff here is great too, very nice and attentive. The ambience is nice, the restaurant is big but cosy and it was full with a mix of locals and tourists. 100% recommend!

Service was quite fine, one day better than the other, depends on waiter. Good food, doesn't take long to serve. Tasty and interesting vegan main dish. The size of the starter meal could be a bit larger. Overall this place is closer to 4 stars food experience than 3.

MUST VISIT!! Absolutely delicious meals, the reindeer (last on the menu) melts in your mouth and the chocolate cake with passion fruit makes me want to lick the plate clean. Highly recommend visiting!

Had an unforgettable dining experience at Ravintola Poro! The Nordic-inspired dishes were phenomenal, each bursting with unique and satisfying flavors. What really made our visit exceptional was the service – attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. A cozy ambiance ties everything together.

Fancy restaurant with a cute interior. If you want something special this is the place to be. The food is good and everything is served they explain to you, which is nice. I would recommend going here, but bring some extra money. It's quite a bit expensive.

Starters plate was exeptionally good. High recomendation. Main course also excellent (our table had 4 different Main courses and everybody was happy). Deserts just ok. Wine list surpricingly long for a seasonal restaurant.

Food & drinks were absolutely fantastic. Service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere felt very authentic with dimmed lights and local decorations. Bathrooms are a bit small and it was a little too warm inside the restaurant but overall excellent experience!

what an experience. We found the restaurant by accident. the service is incredibly warm and professional. the food incredibly delicious. I have rarely eaten so well. I can recommend the starter lappish flavor (with homemade products) and the reindeer roast beef. we were there for two days. really a heartfelt recommendation! the old ratings are no longer to be considered after a change of operator (circa 2019)

An absolute must when you are a foodie! Poro is not just good food, it’s an experience. Their dishes are smaller, but of high quality. I always have a three course meal and feel full afterwards. I highly recommended the Lappish Flavours as a starter, which will give you many different tastes of local produce. As a main their Reindeer (last on the menu) is absolutely mouth watering! Prices are a bit higher, but it’s a good price/quality balance. Absolutely worth it!

Absolutely fantastic!! Walking in to a beautifully designed space, showcasing Lapland, and being quickly greeted by the friendly staff was a great start to an evening. Food was presented amazingly and tasted equally as good. Service was fine dining standard.

Menu was almost as all over the place as the playlist. Fajitas were wildly overpriced considering that the salsa and the guacamole were storebought and the actual tortillas were the cheapest you can buy from a store. I had the cheese one and the main thing I had for filling was onion. The beef and reindeerpots had one taste which was pepper. Both meats were chewy and some of the vegetables felt almost raw. One star for good service and the otso=karhu beer tastes the same here as it tastes anywhere else.

Nice place, you can taste interesting kinds of meat there, for example bear, reindeer and moose. Keep in mind that the place is pretty expensive though... except to pay at least 30 euros.

Nice restaurant with an authentic feel. The food was good but pretty expensive (at least compared to back home, but maybe it's a Finnish thing). The staff was really friendly and helpful. Ordering was easy: they have menus in many languages, even Dutch 😄

Really good food here, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the bear burger with sweet potato fries and that was delicious. For dessert I had the cloudberry pannacotta which was really good. Will visit again!

Cosy place which serves unusual meats. I got a burger with a bear steak and smoked reindeer and my boyfriend got some moose meatballs. For dessert we had a Cloudberry Panna Cotta which was nice and creamy. Cloudberries are local berries and they are considered to be the most expensive in the world. We would like to visit the place again :)

Felt very authentic with a lovely and cosy interior and atmosphere. Felt welcome upon entry and had menus in a plethora of languages. Some really interesting items on the menu too. I had the bear burger which was definatley something different and tasted lovely. Would 100% recommend

For our first time in Finland, this was a real treat! We've been there twice and enjoyed every bite of our meals. I myself ordered a beef burger and oh my was it a culinary journey, straight to the flavortown. Worth the wait.

The food was good, but a bit underwhelming. I expected more from the bear burger. Price and quality didn’t add up for me. Also wasn’t pleased how they handled a big group. We waited 3 hours for 1 burger. Half of the table was finished when the others finally got served. Unfortunately the personal wasn’t very friendly either. I believe that when you go by yourself you will have a better experience, but I wouldn’t recommend for bigger groups.

From a distance the place didn't look much to the world, but previous reviews made me try it and I wasn't disappointed. A good enough selection of burgers and snacks on the menu, even a local variant with reindeer and a good variety of non-alcoholic beer. Staff was good and friendly, quick to take our order and the food came within reasonable time despite being quite crowded. The burgers were really tasty, both the reindeer and the house burger was a 4 out of 5. Served with a side of fries, good taste and texture. Would easily go here again if I were in the area.

Food was absolutely delicious! Burgers were tasty, the down side is staff just come to your table and take away the utensils without even talking or asking you anything, very strange and kinda rude. (It happened to us twice)

It's a pub. You order at the counter and pay, then they bring the food to your table. The burger was quite good quality and the deepfried shrimptails were good too. Not bad for a pub.

A relaxing pub where the waiter is very friendly. For our stay in Lapland, the visit to this place was a pleasant surprise 😁 we'll be back within the week!

The food is nice and the drinks are of good quality. The prices however are high, but...welcome to Finland 😛 The service is fast and the bartenders are helpful with new suggestions each time. The atmosphere is pretty, but sometimes it tends to be overcrowded.

Great atmosphere to share a drink and maybe also have some food. This is thé local pub in Akaslompolo. I haven’t eaten here yet, but friends and colleagues are raving about their food!

I have tried every vegan option that restaurant is offering, so far it has been amazing, highly recommended to visiting. Service was amazing as well - 10/10

Best burger I has in a long time! I ordered the lapland burger that also has a reindeer cold cut in it - simply so juicy and tasty! The burgers come with a choice of fries, sweet potato fries or salad. I paid 23 euros for the burger, sweet potato fries, garlic mayo and a tea. There is a fireplace and it's quite cozy. I would love to come back!

Lived in the land of burgers (USA) for 41 years but had one of the best yesterday at this cozy cafe. Friendly people, tasty Finnish beer and really great burgers and sweet potato fries!

Went in the day before to have a look at the menu which is helpfully printed in both finish and English in the porch area we ordered 3 burgers all of which turned up at the same time (about 15 to 20 minutes) in very beautiful plate/traythings burgers were all cooked (medium so ask if you want it well done)and tasted delicious but you have to use a knife and fork to eat them as they are to l and messy to eat any other way (bit like a big mac)

Service is friendly and excellent. Food have came fast everytime. It also taste delicious, already my third time eating here, if you crave for burgers this is place to go. Also they have vwgan options available.

All I can say is incredible food! Simple menu that mostly just consists of burgers but you can tell they have nailed them to perfection. We had the reindeer burger and it was so tender and flavourful. Definatley in the top 3 I've ever had. And the chips were also very well cooked and some of the best I've had in a while. Very cosy inside too.

Best burger I've had in Finland so far, it's up there with one of the best burgers I've ever had. That's saying something as I eat A LOT of burgers. The smoked mayonnaise is a particular highlight. The restaurant is really cool with a couple of old ski chairs upcycled into bar stools and old T-bar lifts turned into lighting. All in all a very pretty restaurant with exceptional burgers.

Food is good. Service is a bit uncoordinated, and we had to wait 1h20m for two burgers with fries. It was a bit chilly, after the fire died, it wasn't relit.

We went to Well Kitchen for food and drinks and it was a great experience. Delicious food, nice athmosphere and very friendly staff. I can highly recommend the reindeer burger. Definitely worth a visit.

Great bar, friendly staff and excellent burgers at good prices. You have to pick you time to avoid the rush but a great burger joint / bar.

Best burgers you’ll find, chef knows how to treat meat and buns. Delicious! Returned twice during our vacation. Same mouth-watering experience each time. I had the cheese burger, hubby had the chili, both excellent.
