Hotel
Hotel Hel is a modern lodging with laid-back rooms that offers top-notch dining options. It boasts a state-of-the-art design and is the first four-star hotel in the heart of Hel. The 60 rooms are elegantly decorated in a blue and white colour scheme, creating a consistent ambiance throughout the venue. The hotel features an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna for guests to enjoy.
Nice place to stay, it's got a wellness area with a swimming pool, sauna and hot tub.
David Clarke — Google review
The cheapest looking 4-stars hotel I have ever seen. It is new but already in bad conditions. Not even close in quality to NH or Holiday Inn hotels, for example. It however better than renting a room in a private sector. In the absence of local competition it can charge ridiculous prices. The beds, however, comfortable and breakfast is good. Wellness area is very small but cosy. Location is also in an easy walking distance from the port and beach. Dispute all drawback is a good place relative to the rest.

It was a great place to stay. I'm not sure it's the best value for money but overall given the chance I'd definitely come back.

Seal sanctuary featuring an aquarium & historical & conservation-related exhibits.
A great and beautiful experience, if you visit Hel you MUST go to the fokarium. You'll see some cute and playful seals, and you will learn things about Seals and marine life ! If you come around 11:00 or 14:00 you can see seal Eat and Play with the stuff ! I enjoyed a lot the visit !
Lorenzo Bovo — Google review
Huge queue, no information in any other language than Polish. Very crowdy. The seals are cute though, but the environment not too attractive. Acceptance/ticket coin system is also very crazy - only 5zl coins accepted. Yes, there is a changing mashine but can also accept only limited types of banknotes (10 and 20 if remember correctly). A bit of dissapointment after Gdansk zoo.
Sigita Remeikiene — Google review
Absolutely awful, just been there waste of a day. No english speaking, 4 seals and the water was so dirty, you couldn't see anything any way. English speaking people avoid at all costs. So disappointed, we asked for help and all they gave us was a booklet with very little information but it had a donation requests
Alison Owers — Google review
The main place to visit while at Hel peninsula. The seals here are magnificent. Although, almost all of them are seals that were rescued. In normal conditions seals live freely on the Polish coast.
Marcel Multan — Google review
Great sea lion sanctuary. Make sure you come for the feeding, otherwise you may not have much interaction with them. Tickets are purchased via machine by the entrance and even with a long queue it goes pretty fast. 15zl for an adult ticket.

Nice local attraction, I was lucky to be here during a food (fish) distribution time, so all these great animals came up ;)

Quite na interesting place with a captivating history, good for approximately 30min visit when you are lucky to come across the time of deal feeding, definitely worth visiting but i guess IT could be a big bigger and more engaging.
Rafał Łakomy — Google review
Great job done by the team and it’s our duty to contribute for the safety and future of Mammals n Animals and also to avoid throwing trash in the sea … it was a big line but worth watching the seagulls with kids
Europe Explorer — Google review
Interesting place if you haven't seen seals before. Really lacks information in English. Entrance is two 5zl coins you put into machine (automated). Next to the entrance you will find a machine which will chane 10 and 20 notes into 5zl coins. No possibility to pay with a card. Go during feeding time - seals are active and do show some nice tricks.
Lina Grakauskaitė — Google review
Feeding times of seals here to watch are at 11:00 and 14:00. 15 zl per person.

Fantastic museum, spent quite a while in it, plenty of things to see and learn about. Has a large selection of naval weaponry displayed outside and it's all reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend to anyone whos interested in military history
Lukasz Sopala — Google review
No one was around tbh. Some old ammo and retired heavy ammunition weapons and that’s about it. Nothing special but cool to just walk around and stumble onto. Would have given it a lesser rating had we actually paid to get in.

Great place for army fans, many things to see. Dog friendly place, you can even take your pet inside. Just a suggestion - more English descriptions would be nice, however it doesn’t take away the five star rating.

It is a great place, and a must for every history lover, the guns implacement of the Schleswig-Holstein costal batteries are stunning. My personal finding was the fact that this place was the last to be surrended by the Polish troops during the German assault on Poland in 1939. The later structures and the battery itself were constructed later, the guns were actually never used for the defense of Danzig, were sent to the Atlantic Wall instead.

Very decent, informative museum about fishing industry in the region. English description available. We went in there to escape the heat. Tower with good views. Lift will take you some of the way up. The downside is the lack of toilets. Also, interactive displays for kids not working (shame). Benches to relax outside with lots of old boats and other fishing equipment.

I recently visited Muzeum Rybołówstwa Oddział Narodowego Muzeum Morskiego in Gdańsk and it was an incredible experience! The museum is dedicated to fishing and maritime history and culture and it was fascinating to learn about the history, traditions and tools of Polish fishermen over the years. The museum has a great collection of artifacts, including fishing boats, tools, and photographs, and the exhibits are very well presented. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the audio tour was very informative. I highly recommend a visit to Muzeum Rybołówstwa Oddział Narodowego Muzeum Morskiego for anyone interested in learning more about Poland's maritime history and culture.

The Hel Railway Museum, situated in the midst of a wooded area, showcases its rich history and offers various attractions including the Hel Museum, Fire Control Tower, and Hel Peninsula battery. Visitors can also enjoy a train ride as part of their visit. The museum's efforts in preservation and restoration have been commendable. It is worth noting that there is no specific validity period for using the facilities, making it accessible to visitors at any time.
Amazing place for any train enthusiast, especially youngins. They offer train engineer lessons for the little ones. My son was in heaven driving his first train as his dream is to be a railroad engineer. Highly recommend visiting and buying the lessons for any child under supervision and guidance. The lesson in an unofficial diploma which is a nice keepsake and gives one the full experience of being a railroad engineer-blowing the horn, and moving the train and cargo! Lots to see such as historical artefacts of telephones, tools used in maintaining railways and trains, different rail types and more! You can also pump a handcar (pump trolley/Kalamazoo) with friends and family down a descent track of rail through the forest! Beautiful location in the woods is a definite bonus. If you want to ride the rail however you have to buy your ticket at the Museum of Ocean Defense. Staff was beyond friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Thank you so much to everyone who helps maintain this gem and for creating an unforgettable experience!

(Translated by Google) A very interesting and worth visiting place, lots of interactive things and a narrow-gauge train ride with the Coastal Defense Museum. I recommend coming with family or friends and bringing cash. (Original) Bardzo ciekawe i warte odwiedzenia miejsce dużo interaktywnych rzeczy i przejażdżka kolejką wąskotorową z Muzeum Obrony Wybrzeża. You can also drive a locomotive for a while if there's not a long queue, but when there are a lot of people, everything looks average. I don't know if I'm dissatisfied, but the place is constantly being expanded, so there is potential. (Original) Dojazd do miejsca tylko kolejką (płatną) z Muzeum Obrony Wybrzeża. I got to know about this restaurant from some youtube video. I tried the fried cod fillet with chips and salad, and it was really tasty. Only want to suggest that instead of giving garlic butter separately, they can serve the melted butter directly on the fish. 🙂 The price was fine in proportion to the quantity. I can easily spend 2-3 hours bcz of their ambiance and vibes. The service was friendly. Overall, it's without a doubt a recommended restaurant in hel. 💯

I was here quite a lot and definitely can give all 5 stars. 1️⃣ Excellent food: tasty, fresh, big portions. Tried salad with salmon, another day pasta with seafood, and other day I went for a breakfast buffet and ate a lot of delicious meals (photo attached). Perfect drinks. 2️⃣ Service is very polite and nice. No problems. Quick and efficient. 3️⃣ There are a lot of places to sit: outside, inside, and the second floor. 4️⃣ Very good and clean bathroom, you know, it’s quite important as well. 5️⃣ The atmosphere is super great! What else you need? Number one place in Hel.

A large restaurant in the heart of Hel. As a group of 8 we waited 5 minutes to be seated on a Sunday. The orders came in after a while, but we did not wait more than 30 minutes. Fried Cod with Garlic Butter was deliciously soft and full of flavour. Burbot was tasty with amazing champignons. Baked cod with potatoes and vegetables was great too. The service was polite and friendly. It is a bit touristy, but definitely not a tourist trap.

Seems like the best place for fish in Hel, freshly prepared in various ways (fried, grilled, baked, marinated, even raw). Prepared also for those with kids, with lots of space and great attention from super nice waitresses. Also a super nice selection of regional beers. Good selection of other dishes than just the great fish, too.

This place is good. I had sandacz, fries, surowka, a beer and paid 69 złoty. Overall the price isn’t bad but for the area it’s expensive. It’s much more than I paid in any other place in Hel during my 4 days here. Again, 69 zloty is not bad but for the area I think you could do better. Service was ok. It was not bad but it could have been much better. But that’s my experience at most Polish establishments. Overall a good place to visit but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again. I think there are better places in town. Good 4 stars.

We had to wait more than ONE HOUR from the moment we ordered, until we received the food And it was definitely NOT worth waiting for. Other tables, who ordered at the same time as we did, waited the same time. The waitresses did not speak English.
