Hōrin-ji Temple, a Shingon Buddhist temple founded by Gyōki in 713 CE, is dedicated to the Bodhisattva Ākāśagarbha. The temple hosts various annual events such as the Needle Memorial Service, Performing Arts Improvement Prayer Festival, Spring and Autumn 13th Festivals, Dendengu Grand Festival, and Lacquer Day Memorial Service.
(Translated by Google) I used it for the 13th visit. There are only a few places nationwide where you can perform Jusanmairi, but in Kyoto, it is often done here. In the spring season, the scenery overlooking the city of Kyoto surrounded by cherry blossoms is spectacular. I think that it is good to visit for the purpose of taking a walk. There is Arashiyama Togetsukyo Bridge in the immediate vicinity, so you can do sightseeing in this area alone for a day.

Stepping into the serene premises of Hōrin-ji Temple 法輪寺 felt like embarking on a peaceful journey through history. With a remarkable age of 1,300 years, this Shinto temple exuded an aura of tranquility and offered a remarkable glimpse into Japan's rich spiritual heritage. As I approached the temple grounds, I was greeted by a sense of calmness that seemed to wrap around me. The lush greenery and meticulously maintained gardens added to the overall serenity. The traditional architecture of the temple, featuring intricate wooden details and elegant roofs, showcased the timeless beauty of Japanese design.

(Translated by Google) This temple is famous for Jusan Mairi. I went too. When I crossed the Togetsukyo Bridge on my way home, I remember my mother saying to me, "Don't look back." When I visited again today, I thought that I had climbed the stone steps wearing a kimono to a temple on such a high mountain. In the precincts, there is "Dendengu" where the god of electric waves is enshrined. In addition, if you go through the gate on the right side of the main hall, there is a stage with a good view of Kyoto. There is also a bench, perfect for a short break.

Nice but small temple located near Arashiyama Moneky Park. I visited last March and it was one of the only Temple's that had a cherry blossom with flowers in all of Kyoto. It's free to go and if you are in the area I recommend you stop by.

Specialty Museums
The Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory is a tourist attraction that celebrates the life and career of Detective Conan author, Gosho Aoyama. The museum features various character statues from the manga series and is suitable for families with children. The parking space can accommodate a large crowd even during peak seasons like Golden Week 2021. Visitors can enjoy taking pictures with the statues without any fees. Located in the city of Gosho Aoyama, visitors can also see other Detective Conan characters around town.
I went here during Golden Week 2021 and even though there's a lot of people٫ the parking space is huge and can accommodate crowd. This is perfect for a family trip--kids٫ parents. It was fun! Without a fee٫ you can just walk around outside and take pictures with the statues!

The city of Gosho Aoyama(the writer of Detective Conan, manga) that you can see the character of "Detective Conan" around the city. The factory manga is so small. It’s just 2nd floor on a small house. I like the city but just 1 time to go is enough

First piece of advice: Drive there. The trains are very limited and long waiting times in between. You could drive and park at the museum, explore it and go around the town searching for sculptures & other fun stuff.

this is "a must visit place" for conan lovers and fans. there`s many interesting knowledge, facts and objects about conan and of course the author, Gosho Aoyama. Also, u can buy many merchandise at the goods store. enjoy it!

Interesting find at a far-flung place. For fans of Detective Conan, this will be a pilgrimage destination. Its author works out of the small town, and this happens to be along the less-travelled western coast of Japan. Has a number of his early and production works on display, as well as a shop featuring related products such as anime and collectibles. Be prepared for a long journey.

A must visit if you're a fan of the comic! We were a bit unfortunate due to the rain, but luckily most of the things are indoor. Inside you will see the works of Aoyama Gosho. There are also mini-games and quizzes that you can play (I was too pre occupied enjoying the museum that I didn't remember taking any pictures of the inside).

I spent the whole day today on a train to go to Hokuei, Tottori, a very small Japanese town that is the hometown of Gosho Aoyama, the author of the famous manga "Conan". There is a memorial hall where many of Gosho's manga drafts are collected. Interestingly, today is Gosho Aoyama's 60th birthday. I didn't find out about it until I walked into the memorial hall to buy tickets😅 I’m so lucky😍

Shitori Shrine

Very tranquil place, lost in the middle of the Japanese countryside. The shrine itself is of a medium size, quite simple and humble, all wooden without decoration. What makes this place magic is the green sanctuary surrounding the area. A tunnel of plants, moss on the ground, remarkable trees, well spaced in an open setting, cut from the outside world by a bamboo grove. After a few minutes there, the redolent scent of the forest becomes your main distraction.

I was in the middle of visiting a shrine, and the chief priest was giving a blessing, so I waited for him to do so before visiting. Behind the main shrine is a large stump that is thought to be a sacred tree! It's a tree called tabunoki, and it's a natural monument designated by the town. The main shrine was surrounded by other large trees, giving the impression of being protected by sacred trees. This atmosphere has a different aura from the front, so be sure to go around the back of the main shrine. The goshuin stamp was also handwritten and very nice. We also made a donation to repair the shrine building, and received a large skewer and a ballpoint pen with a light. thank you very much. I went there during a weekday. It opens at 9:00, there were few tourists. It was quiet and beautiful. The entrance fee is 500 yen, which is quite reasonable. There are many photo spots. It is an outdoor garden, so it may get hot during the day without air conditioner, so i recommend going in the early morning or late afternoon. There are only 2 Chinese restaurants around. I had karaage set for 980 yen. It was delicious. If you go by public transportation, after getting off the bus, you should take the elevator to the bridge to get to the entrance.
