We had a terrible experience with the owner/manager before we even checked in. We booked a room one day in advance, and when we called directly to confirm there was a crib available, the owner went crazy because we dared phone directly and not use the messaging system in the booking platform we used (even though it says they take up to 15 hours to respond there.... um, great). He was so rude and aggressive to my wife, that we had to stay somewhere else. The worst service we have ever encountered in any hotel/restaurant anywhere in the world. And we've been to some seriously underwhelming places.... Unluckily for us, Como is beautiful enough to keep their rooms full regardless of bad reviews... but if this review changes just one person's mind, it's done its job. The most annoying part of this hotel, is how much time I've had to spend writing reviews and opening tickets... that alone will fuel this vendetta for life.

We had a pleasant experience with this hotel. Nice location, if you don't mind 30min bus or taxi ride from como city. View of lake from the window was worth it. Breakfast was included with the room. Very helpful and friendly hotel staff.

All the staff is super friendly. The hotel is in a privileged location overlooking the lake. Breakfast has a wide variety of options and the restaurant also has a lot of very tasty Italian food options. I strongly believe that I will return and this hotel will be my main option for staying.

Not worth it! The hotel is located in a busy town, with loads of traffic driving by all the time. If you sit on the terrace, don't expect other than a lot of noise and stress. The rooms are in poor condition, and the staff were not friendly. I was glad when I checked out! 1/5 🌟

Absolutely disgusting! Please do not eat here unless you want to have a food poison. Old food, tomatoes were fermented, pasta was worse than from a box, pizza had barely any sauce, the tartar was just raw beef with no flavor. My husband and I barely ate, left whole dishes, paid full amount and left this place. Both felt horrible the rest of the night with stomach issues. Horrible stuff on top of that, the manager guy there was so rude told us that “is not bad food you just don’t like it, if you wanna complain is not here” The worst food I had in my life.

The rooms were clean and have air conditioner. The breakfast was really nice and a cappuccino was included. The tiramisu was sweet and delicious, the cocktails were strong.

This is a review for the restaurant below and not the hotel. Waitress was quite rude, we wanted to order coffees but she said that they were only a restaurant and had no coffees. There was a couple sitting right next to us who ordered coffees nice and easy. I was going to try and order a different drink so we could sit there as we were waiting for our ferry but she walked away from us before I could even say anything. She kept looking at us with a scowl on her face. I'm sure this place is nice normally, but I assume they are only nice to you if you are staying in the hotel. If there was an issue with us ordering coffee I wish she had explained it to us clearly instead of just saying "it's a restaurant" and walking away expecting us to understand. I can understand if there is actually a restriction on the coffee, maybe for only people staying at the hotel or something - which is pretty bizarre on its own - but it would have been nicer if she had spent some time trying to explain it to us and not give us this rude attitude. I was willing to pay for anything but her attitude made me incredibly disappointed and turned off from ordering from there. Every other restaurant in Argegno has been very understanding and willing to try and explain things to us. Maybe that lady was having a bad day but she treated us like scum and I wouldn't recommend it.Bar motto next door and La Piazzetta around the corner are better and I would highly recommend it - the waiters were patient and kind.

The waitress in dark short hair (always working day shifts) are extremely rude! Not helping to solve problems and when it happens starts to speak only in italian! The room was fine but bed not comfortable. The hotel is right in the main street and near the local bar so the loud noise didn’t let to sleep well.

The parking 🅿️ is paid. Location is not that good except for the lake view. There is no Elevator. We had to carry our luggage upstairs walking !!!!

This place has a nice location, you can see the Como lake from your window. Also restaurant has amazing food, and many locals also have dinner here, so it's a good sign ))) Service is also lovely.

Such a lovely hotel with a restaurant downstairs. Good selection of food, reasonably priced. So many pizza varieties to choose from as well as other items. Our room was modern and comfortable with a balcony with a fantastic view of the lake. No fridge or elevator. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had to leave early to catch the first bus so missed breakfast so the owner made us a lunch of sandwich, cake fruit and water which was so thoughtful. The location was great. The bus stop and ferry stop was right outside and there were various restaurants very near. We loved taking walks around the narrow cobbled streets. Such a great experience. It was the perfect place to stay.

Absolutely amazing food , staff and breathtaking view all around !

5 stars for the warmth and hospitality of the restaurant employees and owner. We tried 3 different pastas, and the meat skewer and all were really good. It's worth the money. I tried the Ragu bolognese spaghetti and it was delicious. The sauces was tangy and creamy. The basil pesto sauce was also great. To finish off the lovely lunch, we ordered Tiramisu and it was on point. Would love to go again if I visit Como.

Beautiful atmosphere, gorgeous lake views, kind and attentive service, delicious food...this little restaurant is a real gem! Every dish is prepared with extreme care, this time we ordered "Risotto al pesce persico", that was very very good, and "Spiedoni di black angus con panceta peppata", surprising rolls of peppered bacon and extremely tender beef, served with jacked potatoes and crunchy mint zucchini... you have to try these! Tiramisu was also fantastic. Highly recommended

Beautiful atmosphere, gorgeous lake views, kind and attentive service, delicious food...this little restaurant is a real gem! Amazing experience we had here as a group. The view to the lake was stunning, very romantic and the restaurant is very classy one. Local Menu, very friendly staff! The cuisine and wines are also super nice and tasty! We tried all starters (veggie & meat options), best pasta with crunchy zucchini pistachios sauce, and tiramisu! Of course we finished with limoncello!

Outstanding! Octopus skewers had an amazing grilled flavor. Chicken and beef skewers were also amazing and juicy (we had them leave off the sausage). We also got a side of vegetables that were as good as the other dishes. The pasta on the shrimp with pasta was perfect with a nice flavor to the minimal sauce, the shrimp were good. And they introduced us to the concept of a sparkling Chardonnay (who knew?). Loved it and we may be back for our final night, loved the space and the staff. But the food was the star, congratulations to the chef and the kitchen staff. Loved it!

Myself and my partner had a wonderful dinner here. We felt very looked after and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the fried lake fish and chips and the sausage, chicken & beef skewers. Really special food - cooked perfectly and it tasted amazing. As a gluten-free eater myself, the staff communicated very clearly, the menu was labelled, and I was even given some freshly baked gluten-free bread to go along with my meal. 😋 Thank you so much Il Sorriso. If we return to Lake Como, we will certainly be back.

Lovely place to have diner. Although the terrace is close to the road it’s still comfortable to enjoy diner. The service is most friendly and very fast. All plates we ordered tasted delicious. As well as the tiramisu and caffe. For the quality of food thy serve, it is very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend!

Our family of 6 had dinner here on a week night. It was helpful to be able to book online. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside and the food is good overall, but a bit hit and miss. The chicken, beef and sausage skewer looked amazing, and was full of flavour. The pastas were good and the fried fish was good but needed a sauce to accompany it. The risotto was presented well, but was not really seasoned enough and didn't quite taste as we expected it to. The result was that the risotto, which had a good consistency, didn't really feel like a savoury dish. The fish fillets on top were cooked nicely, but again didn't have enough seasoning and were neither soft or crispy so ended up in between. We all had desserts and the tiramisu and panna cotta were delicious. The waiter was kind, helpful and attentive and was greatly appreciated. Overall it was a nice experience, but let down a bit by the risotto unfortunately.

Quaint little restaurant with views of Lake Como in Argegno. It is family owned and has a good selection of local dishes - no pizza though (our daughter loved her pasta though). The risotto dishes can only be ordered if at least 2 people are ordering it, which was a little confusing because there was no mention of it on the menu. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxed dinner with very attentive service. Parking is nearby available and in 2 minute walking distance.

Arrived here on a busy night with no reservation. The manager, Christiano, was so helpful and actually had a table brought out and set up for us outside. It was great. The food was amazing. The best pizza I had in Italy was from here. So flavoursome with fresh toppings. The aperol spritz were really good here too! The atmosphere and everything was just perfect. 100% recommend this place.

We liked the restaurant so much that we had all 3 dinners there only. On the day of arrival we got in at a time when everything around was closed. Italy)))) we were very tired, but we were received before the opening time, brought water (as it turned out it was a gift from the waiter🙏🙏🙏🙏) And then we made an order and it was brought very quickly. The waiter kept asking if everything was ok, recommended interesting and tasty dishes. The portions are big, we could barely manage))) At last: definitely recommend.

The food is fabulous but the staff excel. They create a great atmosphere. Many restaurants can serve good food only really excellent ones have a team that can deliver a fantastic front of house experience. We had our first meal here when we arrived at Lake Como and that impressed so much we decided that it was only fitting that it be the last restaurant we had dinner in. It was the right choice and our final meal was excellent! We will be back the next time we ar in the area or as best I can achieve using Google translate: "fino alla prossima volta!"

The food was excellent, the pizza was delicious, we also tried the braised beef and the ravioli which were very good. The staff were friendly and the outside seating area was also nice.

Fantastic service, varied menu and an extensive wine list. Located with lake views, parking options and easy accessible by bus or by ferry, this two story restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It dies get busy in the evening so bookings are recommended. We arrived early for dinner on two separate evenings without a reservation and the staff were very helpful in finding a table for us.

Absolutely divine. My tournedos and veal risotto were to die for, the service was very caring without being too much and the ambiance was very cosy. Don't miss it out ! The tiramisu got us on cloud nine.

The days that we attended La Piazzetta, we had a good dinner, the food was always wonderful, delicious and on time. The service was incredible, from the first dinner they made us feel at home, always recommending dishes and providing us the best service. If you want a good traditional Italian dinner and go home happy, this is the place.

Very good food. I had the tuna with the Mediterranean salad and it’s delicious. They give you as starter pizza with sundry tomatoes oregano and olive oil on the house very good. Must order the artichoke as first dish and it’s delicious must try. The service was great they try to accommodate you and willing to change the dish. If you in the area stop by you will enjoy it. Also they’re open at 6pm when everywhere else open at 7pm.

Very nice family restaurant. Good food and good wine 🍷 the owner and his servers are very nice and will try to accommodate you if you need to change the dish. Go there and enjoy you will not be disappointed if like Italian food. Must try the chocolate mousse cake with rum.

Stopped here for lunch and was pleased with the food. The view is amazing, you have a great view of lake como as your having lunch while sitting on the terrace. The restaurant is located in a little piazza. Prices are fair considering that your in como. If your near by would definitely recommend to stop and have lunch and enjoy the view.

Absolutely DELICIOUS. Food was fresh and so tasty! All of the staff were so friendly. The owner saw that my husband and I were a bit chilled when the sun went down so he gave us both blankets. Come here for amazing authentic food where the staff makes you feel welcome!

The place was nice and big .. the servants very friendly .. the food was excellent.. I ordered the barchetta fillet steak, some appetizers and pasta. You get a good view of Lake Como from this restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant for travellers And also for local people

It's not often we return to the same restaurant twice on holiday. We like to explore, experiment and try new things. On our first visit to La P'Osteria we tried Bottarga pasta for the first time and it was insanely good. We brought friends a couple nights later. Service was lovely, wine was great and the pasta was excellent.

A very nice spot with good food and vibe. Good services and a river calming noise. I ate a fantastic pacherro con ragout alle tre carni and a good but not spectacular tagliata di vittela con selezione sali. The ravioli di ricotta e spinaci were veeeery good. Good to visit.

Good food serving local wines. Have a very nice outdoor seating. ( some reviews complain about not having a lake view, though you can see that obviously when you map out the location so boo on those complainers) the outside is next to the bridge and Mountain View. I found the food refreshing and light. I enjoyed the service.

We had the slow cooked lamb and lake fish. Delicious. Not huge portions (we added a side of veggies) but perfect for us. Lovely views, next to a trickling creek, and the staff were friendly. The food took a little longer than usual in Italy, but still pretty quick. The wines were only by the bottle and no house option so we went without.

If you need a place for lunch along the west side of Lake Como, look no further. This was recommended to us when we rented our car in Como, and it was excellent! Fresh, local food, very good wine, and great service. The seating next to the stream was so relaxing and beautiful. There is also a parking lot right across the street that made everything so convenient.

I had a great time. I especially enjoyed the crutzzia and deer ragu but I thought the menu was a bit boring and limited especially on the dessert section.
