The Tanjung Pendam Beach is a sandy expanse dotted with pavilions and backed by low-key bars and cafes. It is quite popular among visitors for its stunning sunset vistas, making it an excellent spot to spend the afternoon. Despite being located within the city, it maintains a high level of cleanliness which adds to its beauty. The entrance fee is affordable, and there are several restaurants around the beach area catering to different tastes.
It's a good place for spending time in the afternoon here, watching for sunset. When I visited this place on a Sunday afternoon, it was loaded by people. But it's worth it, caused the sunset here is really beautiful and also the ambiance. The entrance ticket is very affordable. Around the beach, there are some restaurants.

Could be better, while it close to the city center the beach a bit dirty. It has some restaurants and kids venue, however I think Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Tinggi is way better

It’s a nice beach for everyone though no one swims in this place. Beach goers mainly come here for strolling, enjoying sunset, or hanging out in nearby cafes and food stall.

The Traditional House Belitung is a replica of a classic Belitung home that serves as an exhibit and artifact space showcasing the local culture and history. This former regent's official residence features beautiful wood interiors, along with souvenirs made from satam stone, live performances of the Belitung song by local musicians, and rental options for traditional clothes to wear when taking photos.
A must visit, when come to belitung.. You can learn history and daily living people of belitung since dutch occupation.. The have old photos that attach on the wall

Interesting house to visit. Not sure how traditional as the superintendent lived here. It is constructed with all wood. Cooking area seperate from house. On stilts because of critters not flood. Many old photos with Dutch caption. Free to enter.

Not very much to see except, well, the house itself. I wished they had more informative brochures or digital brochures (qr codes) so we can have more to understand.
Dika Shafira Hidayat — Google review
The place is a replication of traditional house of Belitung. We came there on Sunday, there is no people other than us. I hope they could provide more information on the item displayed or have a tour guide ready to explain. Instead of displaying the name of the things only.

This place is your one-stop place for learning the culture and history of Belitung. It contains traditional clothing, photos, foods, and many more. There aren't many staffs here though, and many items lack description in English so it might be hard to understand for non-Indonesian speakers.

Just like any other traditional house. We can try their traditional costume and have to pay 25k per person(jan 2019)
Damartera Tyan Aqmarina — Google review
The Belitung Traditional House used to be a former regent's official residence. The palace is good with wood interiors. There are some people who sell satam stone souvenirs in it and a musician who play the Belitung song. On the back there are people who rent traditional clothes only Rp 25.000,- for using when you take photos. Apart from that there are old items that are still stored on here.
Dita Djiauw — Google review
The traditional house of belitung is built for tourist destination at the same place with the residency house of the Mayor. The house is clean and look under good maintenance. We saw many things but not really grasp all the stories behind them. I just remember that the steps represents the status of the owner. The more higher the house that has many steps, the more high the social class. It is said that such house is owned only by aristocrat. Similar with other Asian traditional house, this house also reflects a communal way of life. The main room is wide and could accomodates many people. In its era, this room used for meeting, prayer, and as other important occasion. I am interested with the kitchen and a corner where there is a baby swing, but no guide to explain them. Visitors come and go for taking pictures which is good, but I wish i get more about the stories.

Fairfield by Marriott Belitung

Meeting planning service
Fairfield by Marriott Belitung is an elegant and upscale hotel that features sophisticated accommodations, a restaurant, two bars, and an outdoor pool with breathtaking ocean views. The sunsets from the hotel are simply amazing. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although some customers feel that the food could use more variety and better taste, overall it's a nice hotel with great service.
Amazing sunset view from this hotel. The room is clean and staff is friendly. And also they have big swimming pool. I think for food need to improve, either variety and taste. Hope better in the future.
Riri Widariyanto — Google review
Staying right next to the pool was incredibly convenient, offering easy access for a refreshing swim anytime. The nearby mudflats, teeming with tiny crabs, provided a unique and delightful experience. The hotel's location was serene and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Additionally, having a convenience store directly in front of the hotel was extremely handy for any immediate needs or snacks. The food at the hotel was exceptional, with the evening buffet standing out as a popular choice among guests due to its delicious variety. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exemplary service provided by the staff. When my child suddenly fell ill with a fever, the situation became quite distressing. The staff responded with urgency and compassion, swiftly arranging transportation to a major hospital and continuously checking in on my child's condition to ensure the best possible care. Such outstanding service has left a lasting impression, and I am determined to stay here again should I return to Bilitung. The combination of comfortable amenities, delicious food, and exceptional staff care makes this hotel a top choice for any traveler.

Traveller from SF, California. Staying 4 nights from Dec 16-20th 2021 at a junior suite then moved to a deluxe with balcony due to the construction issue. A decent hotel in strategic location, close distance to the city center. However it’s not worth the price. The building was renovated from a previous owner; it was poorly finished. Few examples: 1) the room (AC) temperature cannot be adjusted on our needs; if it’s too low, the floor starts creating condensation, causing wet-floor. Slippery and super dangerous. 2) the building floor (especially the alleyways) is wavy. The wall is peeling and dirty. It also doesn’t have direct access to beach. The swimming pool is also in a bad condition; hence undergone multiple repairs. It doesn’t feel like staying at Marriott at all. (Considering I have stayed with the brand in various countries as the Bonvoy member.) For the management: Please improve the hotel, or else, lower the price to accurately reflect what being offered. I hope this is helpful! :)

We stayed here for 3 nights overall experience was very good. Head chef Pak Marta Hasanta was very kind to prepare vegetarian food for our family Room service was super quick. All staff were very friendly and supportive. There is no access to the beach from the hotel It would be nice to have benches near the beach shore to enjoy the beach scenery and sunset

I stayed there for 6 days (workshop meeting) during Ramadhan. The room and other service were good, but the food for sahoor menu was always the same and its too oily (mainly fried) for early breakfast. The break fasting menu were various but sadly taste average also oily. Hopefully the main chef will consider and rearrange the menu.

We had the most fantastic stay here, so much so that we extended for an additional 4 nights! We were well and truly looked after by all of the staff. They were all so friendly, kind, professional and charming. A special thanks to Frederick, Jasmiati, Rangga and Ganjar who went out of their way to help us and make our stay special. Marriott should be very very proud to have such incredible people working for them. The hotel was lovely, rooms were very clean and spacious and the pool was great with very comfortable Sun loungers. We would highly recommend staying here and were very sad to leave! Thanks for a great stay, Rose and James
Rose Bourne — Google review
Just OK for a Marriott, honestly. The place had a vibe like they bought the building and added Marriott to it. All things considered, they did the best they could. Even if the rooms are a little on the small side. Even if the windows aren’t directly aligned with the seas & sunset. Even if the pool area is a little too far from the beach (nonexistent anyway) to warrant a small park so guests can still hangout. But the location is awesome, the staff is classic Marriott — they let us rent bicycles, didn’t know where they got them really — and the sleep is nice. So there is that.
Arkan Tanriwa — Google review
Nice hotel with good service but feels like a 3-stars hotel i/o 4 stars due to the quality of the rooms. Size of pool was ok, breakfast was quite good, unfortunately there was no beach but you can see a sunset there
Anton “Motsunabe” — Google review
The location is perfect and the rooms are good. You could see the sunset directly from your balcony. The only downside is that the breakfast food is a hit or miss. Do note that each room only provides one person's breakfast. The others would need to be payed but overall it's a great choice!

One of the best place to stay. The foods are good and they also provide liquor. Although the restaurant service time took quite some time, they are kind enough to give me complementary drink for the wait. One more thing to note is their parking space is in the open space next to the hotel. The hotel front also has some parking space however its limited only to few cars

the room is clean but not spaceful. There was a miscommunication with the receiptionist about the room. I had to move in to another room on the 3rd day because turns out the room had been reserved by another person. The swimming pool was also not available that day because there was an event near the pool. The breakfast was great and it is nearby the beach. Luckily, I didn't miss the sunset.

Mie Belitung Atep is a restaurant with unique noodles that are hard to find elsewhere. The noodles are made from shrimp and crab and have a delicious creamy taste. The restaurant is located quite nicely near Satam Square, so if you're in Belitung I recommend giving it a try.
One of the resto that you must visit if you come to belitong. Mie is tasty and creamy but for me mie celor Palembang still better. You can also buy souvenir or try ketam isi for finger foods

With a leaf signature presentation and delicious.. the price also affordable. The portion not that much but enough if you want to enjoy some additional food (coffee or snacks) all around in downtown. This restaurant also Moslems friendly (Halal), so you can rest assured if you bring your Muslims friends/family. Please make sure to add the chilli sauce if you want the balance (if you think too sweet) for a better experience~

The tastiest traditional noodles I have ever had. A legendary place that have been visited by famous Indonesian. A must try culinary place!
Alfian S — Google review
One of the activities that you should not miss when visiting Belitung Island is a culinary tour. There can be a culinary tour in the city of Tanjung Pandan alone can be very fun and satisfying. One of the dishes that you must try is “Mie Atep Belitung” which is located in the center of Tanjung Pandan City. At this legendary shop, Condiment of Mie Belitung are yellow noodles doused in shrimp sauce and sprinkled with prawn bakwan, sliced cucumber, boiled potato slices, boiled shrimp, melinjo chips and bean sprouts. Mie Belitung is a very distinctive culinary, because both the taste and the stall are only in this city. The Mie Atep Belitung shop or stall is managed by Mrs. Atep directly. She sells Belitung noodles with her own seasoning, Mrs. Atepj still serves her own buyers who come from various cities. The way of presenting this dish is very simple, namely yellow noodles arranged with a sprinkling of bean sprouts, sliced cucumber, boiled potato slices, melinjo chips, drenched in thick brown shrimp sauce. You will find a whole shrimp in the presentation. The aroma of the broth that is so distinctive and smells of shrimp is very easy to arouse the taste buds, especially if enjoyed while warm.

This ia one of the fastest restaurants in Belitung 😆 taste a little bit too sweet for me, but i bet people with sweet tounge will love this. I love the way they add melinjo's chip and beans that makes it balance. And that leaf is a signature.
elsha sovolina — Google review
Ordered 5 bowls of noodle, chicken rice and drinks for around 150k. The noodle was special, it was presented with Simpur leaf and served with creamy paste made from fish broth, I guess. I love this kind of noodle for the uniqueness not the taste. The chicken rice, for me, it just a common dish, it didnt have something different inside.

Mie Belitung Atep surely lives up to the hype. One of must-try dishes in belitung. Couple it with "es jeruk kunci" and you still pay only 27k IDR (20k for "mie belitung" and 7k for "es jeruk kunci").
Kms Mohd Imanuddin Abdurrahman — Google review
The first time I tried Mie Belitung is at hotel, and it’s barely palatable, so I was determined to find a tasty one. A lot of people recommended this place, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s very tasty. The broth is thick and full of flavor, cucumber slices gives it freshness and melinjo crackers give a bit of bitterness. You should try this if you visit Belitung.
Anindya Ria Kusuma — Google review
The food was OK. Resturant has pictures of the last Imdonesian president eating there as well as other celebrities. This dish may be more of a local favourite, but the flavours and texture of this meal didn't please my taste buds. It's worth trying to make your own mind up.

We ate breakfast straight from the airport. The noodle was delicious with shrimp stock soup and pair with es jeruk sirup kunci. We got here early. Hence, it was pretty quiet. Then, it got crowded
Ayunita Mahdy — Google review
Bland food made worse by bad service. Was sat at a table that was not cleared yet. They took over 10 minutes before it was cleared. Then another five before they actually wiped the table down. They took our order after about 20 minutes after sitting down. Ordered both mie belitung and rice tim with es jeruk. Drinks came out with about 10 minutes later. One of the drinks had ants in it. We got a replacement for that one. Food finally came out about 45 minutes after first sitting down at the table. Food was bland and unimpressive. The reviews for this place are very misleading. If you had to pick between the rice and noodles, pick the latter as it is slightly better than the former. Overall, not a restaurant that I would go to again. It is highly understaffed. They need to hire more people to service the patrons. Definitely many come here for some reason that I do not understand.

It's a traditional culinary from belitung, I'm not that much of a gourmet but its feel like just another type of noodles. Feel free to try this yourself
Agung Adhi Nugroho — Google review
Food: The taste of the noodle is good, however lacks filling and the overall portion is too small. They only gave us one small shrimp and several small cuts of fishcake, with several cucumber, potato, and emping. Service: We came when the restaurant was crowded, so they are clearly overwhelmed considering the amount of staffs available. The order process is kinda confusing due to this. Atmosphere: It's a typical old chinese family restaurant vibe, with lots of photo with known figures in the wall.

The most unique restaurant in Belitung and also one with the most authentic old recipe. Their concept is so unique that they decorate their place as it feels like 1990s. The food is also extra extra yummy, their ikan bebulus is truly a bomb. Service was great too. But they don’t have parking lot for car, so we have to park out car on the side of the road, but trust me, it will gonna be worth it with the experience you get there. All the best Timpo Duluk!

Place is okay. It’s very touristy. Lots of other great places to try Belitung cuisine, but I guess this place has it all. Plus you also get the ambiance of eating in an authentic, certified by the Ministry of Culture, traditional Belitung house ;) Well, it’s fairly comfortable, though. Lots of famous people come by to this place. They show it proudly on their gallery. Some higher ups too. The food itself was alright. Prone to tour groups — as others have said. Okay service despite the busy tour groups. So come early or come later.

I tried a few of their menus, and it's all pretty nice. They have a huge car park area and the restaurant size also pretty big to accommodate tourists that came on the large groups or buses. I've always loved Belitung, but there's always been one concern every time I visit the island: the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this authentic Western restaurant and decided to give it a try. It met the standards of Bali's brunch cafes in every aspect: from the variety on the menu, the presentation of the food, and even the pricing. The dishes were all excellent and made with REAL ingredients. I could tell that the basil sauce weren't from a paste but were freshly blended and made from scratch. We ordered Chicken Salad, Nachos, and Pesto pasta, and as you can see from the photo, we finished it all. I'll definitely come back and dine here again on my next trip to Belitung. Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants in Belitung! Had the ceasar salad (they add pineapples to make it a bit sweeter which is a nice touch), beef ribs, and tenderloin steak. They grill the meat outside so you can be assured of its quality. The service is also great. Amazed how this place also serves coffee, cakes, and pastries! Protip: leave room for dessert and try their chocolate cake and brownies. The cake was perfectly moist with a rich chocolate taste!

The Well has the best Western-style food in Belitung! It is one of the only air conditioned places here and is so refreshing :) The baristas, servers, and kitchen staff are all incredibly talented and welcoming. Loved everything about The Well. The perfect little spot for some quality, delicious comfort food, coffee and one of the best Cheesecakes I’ve had! Impeccable and friendly service!

We found this cafe while shopping gifts to bring back to jakarta. The menu were great, same price as jakarta. Most of it are western food, since the owner is foreigner as well. We ordered ice cream, drinks and garlic bread. The ice cream was served in turquise cone with toppings, taste was lovely. Mojito and salt caramel milk shake was great too, not too sweet. But the star in my opinion will be the bread! It was simple, but the bread is as it best. Nyummm.

This was such a lovely find. I was in town for three days and came every day! I had dinner a couple of times and a breakfast. I had coffee and sweets. The staff was incredible and the food was so so delicious. I can’t wait to come back here next time I’m in town. The quality is so high. They make everything fresh and really care about cleanliness. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.

Most recommended cafe in belitung ! all the foods and beverages are so good. I love the chicken salad, pasta and carrot cake. I hope you could open a branch in Jakarta, I would come for sure. Also they use eco friendly straw that I never find in other cafe or restaurant.
