Satsang Ashram, located in the south-west of Deoghar, is a sacred place for followers of Thakur Anukulchandra. Founded by Anukul Chandra, it holds great significance as the birthplace of Thakur Anukulchandra on September 14, 1888. The ashram fosters a communal lifestyle and encourages a sense of oneness among residents.

This may be a holy place but I did not get past the security because I was having a backpack which I have to keep in a room with completely my responsibility. If anything happens to the luggage then the authority is not responsible. Such a beautiful holy place but no counter or cloak room to keep a backpack and luggage. The least is expected to have a cloakroom for travellers convenience.

Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra Ashram is cited in Satsang Nagar township, Deoghar, which is located around 7 kms distance from major rail head Jasidih Jn. (Howrah-Patna line), Jharkhand. Satsang Ashram is the headquarters of the Satsang movement started by Thakur Anukulchandra in India and across the world. The Satsang Ashram has become a major place of attraction in Deoghar for all kinds of people in the society. The township surrounding the ashram is known as Satsang Nagar and has a dedicated Indian railways passenger halt for the ease of devotees visiting the place. The Satsang Nagar township is vast in area having their own railway station viz. Satsang Nagar halt on loop railway line between Jasidih jn and Baidyanathdham, school, college, ved mandir, Head Post Office, Hospital, Bank Branch and importantly Indian Railway reservation counter near the main Satsang ashram and many more establishment like buildings for the disciples those who want to stay. It is observed that a huge building adjacent to the main ashram is constructed only for common kitchen and for distribution of prasad in form of lunch/dinner (they call Ananda Bazar). The main Ashram is about 2 kms from Satsang Nagar Gate which is very huge campus surrounded with lush green trees (mainly herbal trees). Gardens, Lovely flowers. The Ashram is Very quaint, peaceful atmosphere. It is noticed that within the campus there is small Zoo, swimming pool, Satsang Publishing House, Herbal Medicine center, Gaushala, Automobile Garage having vintage cars like Rolls Royce, Hudson etc. The Morning and Evening prayer is superb. Various places where Sri Sri Thakur used to sit viz. Aluminium House (Main Chowkey), Nirala Nivesh, Jam-Tala etc is worth seeing. The small museum in Boral Bunglow near main chowkey is awesome , very neat and clean. The entire life of Sadguru is depicted. The museum is having literature, photographs, the various materials used by Thakur which are preserved very carefully. Excellent place to visit. Your must arrange for your accommodation in a hotel or lodge nearby in advance as there is always a bustling crowd of thousands of devotees from all over the globe. I saw hundreds of people in queues confessing to the Administrator the problems in their lives (marital strife, medical problems, education, career, business endeavour, financial loss, childlessness, truant children, research, music, political, etc.) and saw with my own eyes how he gave practical rational and scientifically sound advice to all (not a single illogical solution in the 3 hour long open sessions I witnessed daily during my visit) The other senior disciples of the Ashram show a similar rationality in problem solving whenever I saw someone approach them. Interestingly, I saw during my brief stay, people of all political colours, all religious sects, atheists and believers, scholars and illiterate alike thronging this place. Everyone seemed to have some complex freshly resolved. I witnessed the ashramites perform a musical event, and it was mind-blowing. Devotional songs but so ultra modern in their musicality yet bearing the traditional strands strongly. There was no show-off of external religiosity, rather normal spirituality that permeated the daily lives of these people which I found much more appealing to me than a cave-dwelling ascetic would have, especially since I have been in those places too, and found this place to have more spiritual effect on an exponentially larger mass. Even local temples hold this place in high esteem. It was a humbling yet great experience. And I would definitely advice a trip here. This place has a charitable hospital, boys and girls schools, a medicine preparing center (medicines formulated by the Spiritual Teacher Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra), 7 storied free refectory Anandabazar Bhavan, residential areas, aviary, etc. I hear sports events, musical events, art exhibitions etc are organized here. Millions of disciples world over visit it throughout the year.

Naulakha Temple, a grand complex erected in the mid-1900s, is devoted to Radha and Krishna deities. Its location is 1.5 km away from Baba Baidyanath Temple, and it resembles Ramakrishna's temple in Belur(Kolkata). The idols of Radha Krishna are present inside the temple.
Words cannot describe its humongous structure. Definitely one of the beautiful architecture in Deoghar. If anyone of you are planning to visit the city. Must go to this place during afternoon. You will love the entire structure wrapped by marvelous atmosphere.

Srimati Charushila Dasi from Kolkata built this temple in 1942 in memory of her gurudev Balananda Brahmachari. Nine lakh rupees was the cost to build the temple at that time so the temple called Nau lakha temple. Very popular tourist spot in Deoghar. Local utensils shop, memento shop are there outside the temple.

Naulakha Mandir is truly something special! The detailed carvings and vibrant colors of the temple are absolutely stunning, offering a rich and cultural experience. It's not just a sightseeing spot; the temple's historical and spiritual significance make it a must-visit for anyone interested in India's unique architecture and religious heritage.

A perfect example of Explicit Beauty. It's impossible to describe its beauty and vibe in words. It is an experience to be felt, to be experienced. The literal meaning of "Naulakha" is "Nine Lakhs". This beautiful temple was built with the investement of Nine Lakhs hence, attaining this name Naulakha. It was built by a Bengali Lady in the loving memory of her Son. It has fine architecture made up of red sandstone. It has got a calm vibe, perfect of meditation and enjoying solitude. Best time to visit is morning as there won't be rush to break the beautiful calm trance which it provides. The inside of the temple is surprisingly cool. It has got a beautiful garden around it. It is a hidden gem which makes it best and people has not ruined its vibes. After so many decades also its beauty never ceases to amaze the human mind.

The temple is a marvel in its own. But such a sad state of affairs that it's premise is not maintained as the way it should be done. The interior is beautiful and clean. Photography is not allowed inside. The outside garden is in a mess. Could have been maintained in a much better way, as this is one of the most visited places in and around Deoghar with a rich essence of history.

I went deoghr to visit Baidyanath jyotirlinga so I visited this temple also. This temple was constructed in 9 lakh rupees in 1932 so it is called naulakha. It is a very peaceful place that looks very beautiful. I think it could be the best location for photography like pre-wedding shouts etc. There are many mango trees around the temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. I had golgappas and churmure available outside the the temple, it was yumm.

Naulakha Temple is one of the most famous religious and historical places of Deoghar in the city of Baba Vaidyanath with its unique combination of beauty and architecture. Everyone must have heard about the Naulakha necklace, but there is an interesting history behind how the temple got its name. Dedicated to the child form of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, this temple was built at a cost of nine lakh rupees, hence this temple became famous among the public as Naulakha Temple. Bhagwan Shri Krishna is seated in the form of Deity in the temple, as well as an idol of Saint Balanand Brahmachari ji is also installed. Hence the actual name of the temple is Jugal Mandir dedicated to the form of Guru and Govind. The height of Naulakha temple is 146 feet. The temple is located just 2 km away from Deoghar city of Jharkhand and is highly famous among both devotees and tourists for its architectural beauty. The architecture of the temple seems to be inspired by the Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission in Kolkata.

Very nice place to visit with family or friends. You don't have to buy ticket to enter at Naulakha Temple. You just have to keep your shoes outside the temple where you can donate whatever amount you want to, just only for keeping your shoes there.

The building is actually very exotic. The building stones used are good to see. It is called Nalakha because during those times it cost 9 lakhs rupees to build and hence the name. I liked the building structure and design. But to be frank, administration has not been able to maintain it properly. The connecting road to the temple is dilapidated! Completely broken and in worst condition. The building itself needs lot of renovation work. Algal growth can be seen on the stones. These buildings are our heritage. We all should try our best to preserve these. Why can't we charge 10 Rs per person whoever is visiting it? By doing this, sufficient funds can be gathered for its maintenance. Lastly, I was saddened to see our heritage getting decayed like this.

Naulakha Temple in Deoghar is an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring this spiritual haven. Nestled amidst the serene surroundings of Deoghar, this temple is a true gem. From the moment you set foot in the temple complex, you can feel the divine energy that surrounds it. The architecture is awe-inspiring, and the intricate detailing on the temple walls is a testament to the craftsmanship of yesteryears. The main attraction, the exquisite black stone idol of Lord Shiva, is an absolute marvel. It's said to be the largest of its kind in the world, and standing before it is a humbling experience. The temple's peaceful ambiance and the soothing chants of devotees create an atmosphere that's perfect for meditation and introspection. The temple staff are courteous and helpful, providing information about the temple's history and significance. The entire experience of visiting Naulakha Temple is not just a religious one; it's a cultural and architectural journey through time.Don't forget to explore the beautiful gardens surrounding the temple, which add to the tranquility of the place. And if you visit during Mahashivratri, you'll witness the temple come alive with vibrant celebrations.Overall, Naulakha Temple in Deoghar is a hidden treasure that deserves more recognition. Naulakha temple is one of the oldest temples in deoghar, Jharkhand and you can see the Beauty of the place in the picture attached. This temple is dedicated to bhagwan Radhe - Krishna. The amount spent in the construction of the temple was Rs 9 lakh in the year 1940, Hence it became known as Naulakha Temple. The state/ District administration should allocate funds to renovate and maintain the temple.

Another religious temple at Deoghar with easy entry. The temple houses idols of Radha and Krishna as also Sri Balananda Brahmachari. The history says that it was built by rani Charushila Ghosh, Zamindar of Kolkata, who built it after losing her husband and son prematurely, under the influence / advice of Balananda Brahmachari at a cost of the then RS.9.00 lac in 1940s. A must visit in Deoghar.

As the name , Naulakha temple derived from the amount spent in construction of the temple was about Rupees Nine lakhs (9 lakhs). Reason behind this At the early age she Rani Charushila , who belonged to Pathuria Ghat King’s family, in Kolkata lost her husband Akshay Ghosh and son Jatindra Ghosh at a very early age, she left her home and met with the saint Balananda Brahmachari who suggested to construct this temple.

Baba Baidyanath Temple is a religious site consisting of 22 temples, including one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Shiva. It is known for its devotional ambiance and cleanliness. Visitors are advised to beware of scams by temple officials who may try to take advantage of them. While inside the temple, it can be quite crowded with queues forming around the inner sanctum where devotees can touch Lord Shiva's Linga.
As usual, every temple has a lot of people gatherings, here also one will find a lot but they have built a way to tackle that many visitors. It's very relaxing when you sit and pray.

World famous pilgrimage Baidyanath Dham is situated in the district headquarter of Deoghar in the state of Jharkhand. Of the revered twelve Joytirlingas it stands at the fifth position. In ancient time this land was very pious and picturesque. It is inscripted in Shiv Purana as Haritaki or Ketaki wood. A prevalent story goes on to state, that heart of Sati had fallen here. Which was happened as the dead body of Sati was dissected by God Vishnu with his Sudarshan Chakra. In this way Shiva and Shakti are conjugally immanent in this Joytirlinga. The Matsyapuran narrates the place as Arogya Baidyanathitee, the holy place where Shakti lives and assists Shiva in freeing people from incurable diseases. This whole area of Deoghar was under the rule of the Kings of Gidhaur who were much attached with this temple. While there are several such legends associated with this sacred land, history too proves its importance. A mention of the temple can be found from 8th century AD, during the rule of the last king of the Gupta dynasty, Adityasena Gupta. During the Mughal period, Raja Man Singh, the ruler of Amber, is said to have built a pond here, which is known as Mansarovar. The temple faces the east and is a plain stone structure with a pyramidal tower, which is 72 ft high. Atop it are three compactly set gold vessels, along with a Panchshula (five knives in a trident shape). There is also an eight-petaled lotus called Chandrakanta Mani. Mythology: According to mythology during Baidyanath Joytirlinga transportation by demon king Ravana to Lanka, mid way on his route was this holy land. As depicted Ravana had got this Shivalinga as boon by offering extreme meditation and had he installed this Joytirlinga in Lanka no would have been succeed in killing him. Due to Ravana’s cruelty lord Shiva handed over the Joytirlinga to him on the condition that if he would ever put the Jyotirlinga on the ground, it would not be possible to lift it again. During the course of his journey, with the intent to create hurdles, deities got water and lord Barun entered into Ravana’s belly and with its effect Ravana felt pee experience and was compelled to land for being free from natural call. He landed down his Puspak Vimana and gave the Joytirlinga to a nearby herd boy who was lord Vishnu in disguise. After having been freed from natural call as Ravana came to take Joytirlinga, he was astonished to see that herd boy had disappeared and the Joytirlinga was put on ground. As per conditions Ravana could not lift the Joytirlinga after making so many attempt. Consequently with extreme anger he thrusted the linga with his thumb and went away. In original Joytirlinga the mid part of it was warped. How to Reach: Baidyanathdham is located between 24.4852 degree north and 86.6948 degree east. From Jasidih junction, it is 06 km away; which is on under Howrah-Delhi broad gauge line. To reach by Air, the nearest airports are Kolkata, Patna & Ranchi, those are respectively 280 km, 350 km & 300 km away from Deoghar, from where pilgrims can avail train, bus & taxi services. Nearby Places: In the surrounding of Baidyanathdham there are so many religious and tourist places namely Harilajori. Tirkut Parvat, Nandan Pahar. Nawalakha Mandir. Rekhiya Asharam, Tapowan, Satsang Nagar, etc. These places are gifted with natural glory by the God and pilgrims can have heavenly reminiscence by on looking its scenes.

Deogarh or Baba Dham or Baidyanath Dham or Ravanaeshwar Baidyanath Dham is One among the twelve holiest Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, located at Deoghar Jharkhanda. Most famous for the Dak Bam during month of Shrawan where thousands of people on saffron colored clothes carry water from Ganga at Sultanganja about 108 Km away & walk bare feet nonstop to temple in 24 hours. Baidhyanath Dham is a temple complex comprising of 21 various white temples. Temple of mother goddess Parbati is in front of Shiva & is interconnected with red sacred threads, one of the rare occurrence to see Shiva & Shakti (Parbati- Devi) inside the one compound. Shandya Aarti was very exciting to witness. View of Jyotirlinga is shown with live camera on a TV outside the temple. There is provision of special darshan for the devotees of Lord Shiva but for that devotees have to pay some money which goes to the temple trust. A lot of Pandas offer different puja & darshan, but mostly they try to extract money saying this or that but their help is rewarded with quicker & better darshan but just you have to be patient and try to have one panda since every panda can give you the access to the entrance gate of lord shiva shivling from there devotees have to pay tribute to the god by themselves only and can have the grace and blessings of Lord Shiva as god is for all inside the gate of Lord Shiva Shivling all are equal either rich or poor and this makes the religion incredible. That's all from my side I think whatever information I want to give through my side I had provide in this review. Thanks a lot Jaya Shiv Shambho Har Har Mahadev !!!

Highly recommended for a visit if you want a memorable experience. It's easy to reach just google the map and don't go with pandat what ever they say as it might be tricky to take money out of you, but some time u have to take vip pass for management of time as there can be 10k people or 100k people, yes 100k people it's crazy over there.

A holy place like this doesn't require any type of rating or review people visit this place for the blessing of lord Shiva in the name of Baidyanath Jyotirlinga. The temple complex comprises the central shrine of Baba Baidyanath, Maa parvati temple (a shaktipeeth), kal bhairav mandir, lord Hanuman mandir and many other god and goddess temples. Maa Parvati temple is tied up with the main temple, with huge red sacred threads which is unique and worthy of reverence, showing the unity of Shiva and Shakti. But there are some major issues which should be focused, pandas here are very demanding in every temple in the premises they'll ask you for दक्षिणा and somehow they torture common people and another thing that is crowd management by security team, come here to take blessings but these guards treat people like animals.

With Deoghar Airport and Jasdih railway station traveling, to one of our famous Jyotirlinga is possible. From Airport temple is just 10km and from railway station just 20 min. You can get Toto or Auto from both the Place at Rs200. Temple has its own historical importance . Both the Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peeth is their. Their is thread called as Gatbandhan between Shiva and Parvati temple. Temple has got different gates, it is advisable to go from Singh dwar and there is shop called Shiv peda Bhandar, one of the best Peda. There are 22 temples in the premises don't forget to do Darshan of those temples. Don't miss Aarti in the night which happens at Parvati temple by 7pm. Visuals are amazing and breathe Taking. Also don't fall for Pandas who charges too high. Get VIP ticket from the counter if you are in hurry. During Sawan Bhada too much of crowd will be there.Prices are also bit high for everything. After Dashera and before Diwali Crowd is very less and one can do Darshan nicely, price is low.

I had a disastrous experience at Baba Baidyanath dham. I don't know if it is because of the time we chose to go. You can take VIP pass to cut time. The garbh grah is compact. Imagine 50+ people inside it. The entry and exit is same and confined. People will push you to reach the shivlinga. We were hardly able to breath. Idk how we survived that day. No proper arrangements were done to control the crowd. Police were there but of no use. Also the place is hell dirty. I request you to not take children in case there is too much crowd. Please!!
Apurva — Google review
Too much crowd! Basically crowd is not the problem. I recently visited the temple with lots of expectations. Since I'm a traveller and recently visited Kedarnath. After kedarnath i thought of visiting babadham jyotirlinga. I was expecting a spiritual and peace environment but I found business inside the premises. Ans the terms used by workers there, 'baba dakshina', 'dwar dakshina' and lot more dakshina. Even i heard a priest shouting on others, "paisa hai nhi jeb me aur aa jata hai baba ke pass". What the hell? Who the hell are you to decide ki kise aana chahie aur kise nhi. They're playing with the emotions of devotees there. And the biggest bluff is vip line. They treat like this to people having money, god knows what they do with poor devotees there. Other jyotirlingas are way good. May be because of no priest policy. And God! How can I forget the behavior of a person who was in charge of devotees management I guess. He kept beating men, women, children, oldies. I didn't like this place as a tourist. Met with few flowers seller there. They were poor by finance but wealthy by heart and emotions. I had a talk with other devotees. Loved the people around and the uniqueness of temple and premises.

ॐ नमः शिवाय । It was a nice experience. Early morning, just two days before Srawan month, still little crowded but heart full of joy and devotion. Had a Puja and then went for Darshana. Inside the Grabh grih, its too much rush and push. But able to touch Linga of Lord shiva. Had a very good darshana of Mahakal. Har har bhole.

As usual, every temple has a lot of people gatherings, here also one will find a lot but they have built a way to tackle that many visitors. It's very relaxing when you sit and pray.

Baidyanath Jyotirlinga, is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site located in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are believed to be the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. The temple complex is situated amidst the beautiful and serene surroundings of the Parasnath Hills. It is believed to have been built during the reign of the Maratha ruler, Maharaja Balwant Singh, in the 18th century. However, the original temple is said to have been constructed by Ravana, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. The most prominent festival celebrated at Baba Baidyanath Dham is the Shravani Mela, which takes place during the Hindu month of Shravan (July-August). During this time, devotees undertake a month-long pilgrimage on foot, carrying holy water from the Ganges River in Sultanganj, a distance of about 105 kilometers, to offer it to Lord Shiva. The entire town of Deoghar comes alive with festivities, and a sense of devotion and spirituality fills the air. VIP Darsan also available, charges 250 per person.

Jai Bhole Nath. I recommend going via VIP pass. Which cost you around 250₹. If you don't then you have to wait in line for approx 2.5-3hr. Always crowded. I visited this place in the normal week days.

Very calm place. Full rush in month of shravana. People celebrate sharavan here for about 2 months normally in an year and 3 if there is adhik mass. In queue you will have to wait 30-40 mins on normal day. 60-75 mins on mondays and 2-3+ hours in sharavan and 4-5 hours on mondays of shravan month. You can give dakshina to pandit and he'll help you with queue and also you can arpan jal and worship God. You can touch the jyotriling on non rush days. Phone is allowed inside temple you can also click some pics, just don't use it inside the garbh gruh.

Very nice experience of visiting one of the 12 jotirlingas in Deodhar, Jharkhand. Lot of pandas will follow you to make poojas and show wah to queue for darshan. They would charge some amount. Inside the garbhgrih (main mandir) pandits there will ask for dakshina and won’t allow to go nearby. You have to take panda to do Pooja inside. Timing for darshan in the evening starts at 7pm but other people will tell you it’s 6.30.

Visiting Baba Baidyanath on the day of holi was really very difficult. So many devotees came from very far. We purchased VIP tickets. So we have to wait 3 hours. But the devotees in general line was able to visit after 7/8 hours in queue.

Second time I have visited this place.....1st time experience was good . But this time it is not smooth. I reached there at 6:40 P.M ......it was a solo trip. Nobody (Auto) was ready to go Baba Vaidyanath road (Mandir More)...They Charges 500 for 8KM ,After some Molvaw one autowala ready for 200 rupees...After reach there it was very struggling to find a hotel There behaviour was very bad ,a hotel called (Satyendra ).Their receptionist was very bad in manner. As a Solo traveller I didn't feel safe. I will suggest ,if a lady go there then go early morning and after 8p.m stay in hotel or go with family or friends. About Mandir: Go early as possible....there is VIP and normal ticket .VIP is 250 rupees... And Panda will take Money too. It took me 1hr for darshan ... If you want to enjoy sandhya arati then go there at 6p.m and take your place ...You will feel peaceful Food: In front of Mandir gali( Purba Gate) you will get pure non veg food ,Alo parata paneer parata e.t.c

We ordered • ➡️Meal in which the mattar paneer was okay okay but only half piece Panner given.. And the aloo gobi taste pathetic.. The dal was only Pani ka soup not a dal.. Rice was not properly cooked.. Even their Gulab Jamun Taste Pathetic.. ➡️Dosa was Okay Okay in taste.. I never had such bad taste food in my life.. I dnt knw why they provide such a bad quality food to the people after taking money.. Hygiene not maintained..Kitchen area not that clean.. I will never eat here again..

Food was Okay, because Dosa was not so tasty so I will really suggest to not prefer DOSA in this Hotel. Taste was like burnt bitter. So, i again had Veg Special Thali which was better. It was adorned with Dal,Chawal,Paneer, Veg , Roti , Papad and etc. etc. It was overall a perfect lunch as far as I can say. Service were good and Atmosphere was as always Crowdy because of main line. Go for it if you want to have healthy lunch.but if you want to have fast food then I will definitely not suggest.

Visited this overhyped place. The counter manager was extremely rude. Service was slow and not hospitable.Had their famous dosa and veg thali. Dosa 's masala was bland. The thali food was served cold ,with water like dal, only a single piece of paneer in matar paneer and rotis not evenly cooked. Not recommended as you may find better options in the same area easily.

Interior is really beautiful, staff is well behaved, ambience is great but when it comes to food (vegetarian food) it is pathetic. Oily food with bland taste. Paneer tikka was totally bland and extremely smoky, chili baby corn was excessive oily, lachchha parantha was just like a regular maida parantha (one cannot find even a single lachchha in it. They didn't even had pickles to compensate their bland food. They need to upgrade their vegetarian food. Quality of paneer was great (soft and juicy) but the dish didn't even had proper seasoning. Location is the prime location but they are not maintaining the quality of the food. Need to work on the quality of the food as a restaurant can work only when the food is tasty not with just the beautiful interior.

First of all I would like to talk about location so Veda Inn is located at 1st floor near Tower 🗼 Chowk and because of strategic location they charge some extra amount for food, Small place are there but washroom are available for all. They didn't provide normal free water, you have to food as well as water or If you always keep water then it's good for you. They would provide bronze plate which is good for health. Food menu is quite impressive they have almost every thing in menu which you want to eat but you have to pay some extra money If you compare with others. That's it from my side. If you wanna more information then contact me on Instagram @jogii_official Thank you

Biriyani tastes better than before. Must try chicken egg roll. Tandoori is soft. Uses small chicken. Butter chicken is delicious. Lachha parathas taste little higher on sweeter note. Courteous and attentive staff. Maintain hygiene. Fast billing. Its good to see glass cover rather than open marinated kebab stick. Very near to tower chowk. Convenient location. Road side two wheeler parking available. Upmarket place. Though a small seating space on first floor, but serves fast. Chicken tikka biriyani is too good. Even mutton biriyani is delicious
