We arrived late for lunch and we were surprised how quickly they seated and attended to us The food was well prepared and presented. Could not believe the large portions were for one person and the House wine was perfect The restaurants walls are full of football shirts from famous players like Pele and Ronaldo. I certainly will go there again and have already recommended the restaurant to others. I wish I could give them 7 stars. They certainly deserve it

A must visit if you are interested in seafood. Good honest fresh and reasonable. Go with the recommendations of the waiters as they know what's best on the day. Dont fail to try the squid and muscles. We tried lobster and Oysters and wern't disappointed. This place is also a shrine to Ronaldo with many shirts signed by the player. Come here when a good football game is on with Portugal playing for great atmosphere. Owner rings a bell whenever Portugal scores! Sit in the veranda outside in sight of the many big flat screens. Reasonable prices.

Really bad service, the restaurant was empty, we tried to have dinner, but the manager refused to serve us because we were still waiting for 2 people. The manager asked us to wait in the sun, this was incredibly rude because we were with our 6 months old baby.

Very good food and friendly service. The "tourist menu" is a really good deal, and matches the prato da dia often served in local restaurants- starter, main, dessert and a drink at a fixed price. I had grilled salmonete and my wife grilled prawn kebab as mains and both were excellent. For those interested in footie the bar has a football theme and apparently Ronaldo is a regular visitor here

Went here last night as it was very busy when we walked past. My wife had the monk fish kebab, which was very nice. I went for the mixed meat kebab big mistake it was 17€ for 2 skewers scraps of pork separated by lumps of fat terrible. I was expecting chicken and beef as well as pork silly me.

Best "gambas al ajillo". Cod was fine. Carrafe of Vinho Verde not up to expectations.

One of the best sushi restaurants and experience. For family of 5, we ordered the chefs’ special 72 pieces Misto de Sushi Sashimi, with Gyoza as starter, hot banana as dessert. The english speaking waiter was very friendly and explained ingredients of every kind of freshly made sushi. Considering the super delicious sushi, drinks, desserts and amazing service, the (high) price is reasonable. To avoid any unpleasant experience, make reservation via WhatsApp or phone is highly recommended.

We had 2 starters, a fusion with 30 pieces and a dessert. All the food was sooo delicious. Besides that, the service was excelent. The price-quality is very good. Our waiter was Ruben, he explained the concept and menu very well to us. We had a wonderful experience and we recommend to visit this concept bar to everyone who is in the area.

First off, the english speaking staff was very very kind and helpful, he apparently was the only one that spoke english, he explained very well on how to eat, what to eat first and was always very kind, now to the sushi - the fusion sushi recommendation he gave us was supreme i could only recommend this sushi restaurant due to their short open times. Always full so i would recommend to book the tables.

Delicious coconut shrimp curry! With the right amount of spiciness. Should've put prawns in it. The curry will be more amazing and worth the name, just saying 😊. Blue Parrot burger was also great with potato chips, onion rings and bell peppers. The staff is friendly, the chef's cooking is outstanding.

What a fantastic little restaurant. It's like going to that friends house who cooks really well. The service is very friendly. They call you "darling" and "love" ☺️ all dishes we had were really well done. We had curry, ribs and fish and chips with mashy peas. All delicious. The brownie was phenomenal.

The best Vodka Mule I have ever tasted. Was unsure when saw the cucumber but my goodness it works 'delicious. My baguette of warm goats cheese, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with walnuts also amazing. Definitely try this establishment tou won't be disappointed.

Stopped in for dinner, and they did not disappoint. 9pm, service was quick, food was freshly prepared, hot and well seasoned. Shrimp was perfectly cooked, unlike the other places we've been in Monto Gordo. Lamb leg is highly recommended, the accompanying mashed potatoes were amazing. Price, understandable. Best meal we've had in 4 days in Monto Gordo.

Amazing food at the blue parrot. Saw reviews so thought we'd try. I had the caprese salad and my partner had the cheese garlic bread to start. Both were brilliant. I had the blue parrot burger for main and he had the fish and chips, outstanding. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was fantastic , lovely atmosphere :-) 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers meant that it came to just under €50 for both. Would definitely go back!

I can’t recommend it enough… most friendly people - you just feel like they have been your friends forever 🥰 amazing food - best we have eaten in Monte Gordo and definitely our top 3 restaurant from all our vacation destinations! Lovely meal in a great little restaurant, not touristy at all, seemed like a place that the locals frequent. The ribs were delicious, as was the wine. We also order apple crumble with gorgeous home made ice cream and one of the best expresso martinis I have had in a long while. Attentive, friendly and welcoming staff. Will come again

Pure soul. From the food, to the atmosphere and the service - kind, caring and homely. The place is a rare gem in the area. Went multiple times and tried a variety of vegetarian dishes - so flavoursome and satisfying. You may not expect it by their cocktails are next level - fresh, creative, balanced. Also tried the homemade cheesecake, not too sweet, made with cottage cheese. Thank you team, feels good to dine good in a place where the people care.

The food we had here was some of the best food we have ever had, and the service was incredible. We made a great relationship with the staff over music taste at first and then with Chloe the doggo. We’ve had a lot of cocktails here as they are top tier and very refreshing. There is a very relaxing aesthetic and great music taste, a must try in Monte gordo.

Second time visiting, last visit was May 2023 and Well what can I say other than OUTSTANDING! The food was delicious, presented lovely and tasted divine. The staff are warm friendly and welcoming. They treat you as family. They even remembered our names. Myself Husband and children throughly enjoyed our meal. We also met Chloe and fell in love with her. We thought we'd try the blue parrot for lunch and wow. Lovely starters and then burgers- cheese, mexican, lamb and avocado burgers all tried and absolutely delicious 😋 no room for pudding which was devastating as the apple crumble with ice-cream sounded amazing but managed to squeeze in a hot chocolate each can recommend the after eight hot chocolate but also have bounty and raspberry flavours. Great little place. Will definitely be returning and hopefully will make room for pudding next time !

Very busy Saturday evening and staff were very attentive and quick. We had sole and a steak, both delicious and cooked to our requested taste. The sole was large and very moist.

Great summer restaurant. They are very professional. I do reccomend reservations. Mainly in July and Augusto the restaurant its always packed. The menu is complete with meat and fish choices to all. The wine list is okay. Also families with children have good choices to the little ones. Is One of the best restaurants in town

Monte Gordo - Eastern Algarve near Spanish border. Had to review after eating here many, many times when we fly over from UK several times a year. Famous with locals. In peak holiday times always full. We usually have their excellent fresh fish which you view and choose in a display freezer. Only 100 yards or so up the cobbled main street from the Casino. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Good food, FAST service, nice price. A place to eat on a rush with a tight budget. Just dont aspect a romantic dinner.

Food and service was great! Especially compared to all the touristy places around the restaurant. The portions were a bit small for their price though, but that is the only reason that I gave 4 in stead of 5 stars. In summary: very cute and would certainly recommend in this city
