Masjid Agung Banten is a 16th-century mosque with a noticeable tower that serves as a reminder of the old port city of Banten. It is an ideal place for a quick escape to pray, although it can be overly crowded at times. The mosque itself is immaculately clean and holds significant religious importance. However, there is room for improvement in managing the surrounding environment to enhance visitors' overall experience.
Masha Allah, very beautiful. This is the first time I've been here, it's amazing the glory of Islam in the past in Old Banten

a historical place, is now in a far better look and condition due to its new plaza, finished in 2019. sultans and families are buried next to the mosque. be mesmerized by its astonishing minaret which is one of its kind. it is also next to surosowan palace (ruins).

Actually, there's an entrance near Masjid Agung Banten~but for big transportation such as bus, the parking spot is available and visitor should walk to the location about 5-7 minutes Because this is a place to pray, we should take off our footwear. In the entrance, there is a place where we can place the footwear Inside Masjid Agung Banten, there are photogtapher that offers to take your photo inside complex and they'll printed the result (we should pay ofcourse)

Kaibon Palace

Mentioned on
Historical landmark
Sprawling stone remains of a stately palace built in 1815, a popular spot for wedding photography.
A good place to visit~if you like to take your photo with some historical vibe, I can recommended this place Its free to entry, but you have to pay for the parking. I dont think its suitable to go there by bus, because I didnt see any available parking spot for bus. Even the parking spot nearby, its not that huge to accomodate many cars, because its next to a resident.

Historical site with great potential for education n historical reminder of the greatness of the rulers that have carved their influence on this part of the world. There's some maintenance but hopefully can be improved with the puddles n mud soaked areas. There's graffiti on the walls of this treasure that are sheer sacriliege. There must be an air of respect for such history or else much will be lost. There need to have maps, illustrations & signs for the different parts of this delicate palace to explain & bring visitors to experience how it was before in it's glory. Definitely can be much much more improved.

It's easy to get lost in thought here. The palace is no longer looked like a palace, but you can easily imagining people walking by, kings and queens, princes and princesses, and the soldiers. Many spots for great pictures, too. This is a great place to hangout with family and friends. Kaibon Palace is the second palace after Surosowan Palace. The Kaibon Palace is a relic of the Banten Sultanate (Islamic period) which was built in 1815. Judging from its name (Kaibon = gentle and loving mother), this palace was built for the Sultan's mother. Keraton Kaibon is the former residence of Sultan Syafiuddin, a sultan of Banten who ruled around 1809 – 1815. When the Sultan died, his position was replaced by his son who was only five years old. For a time, the government was held by his mother, namely Ratu Aisyah. This palace was still in use until the reign of the first Banten regent who received Dutch support, namely Aria Adi Santika, as a replacement for the government of the Banten Sultanate which was abolished in 1816. In 1832, the Kaibon Palace Cultural Heritage Site was dismantled by the Dutch East Indies Government, what remained in the form of foundations, building walls and palace gates.

It was a royal house of Banten Kingdom. Currently, most of photographer did some pre-wedding action on sunset time. The wreckage is so scenic. It took 2 hours driving from Serang on a bad road

The remains of the ruins of the Banten palace which were damaged by the VOC. The condition is very well maintained by the local government. Recommend to bring your family. The best time to visit is morning and evening.

Kraton Kaibon is the ruined palace and the residence of Queen Aisyah, the palace was destroyed in 1832 following the order of Colonial Governor Daendels. The architecture of the palace is unique, because the surroundings of the palace are actually the water channels,

Located near Masjid Agung Banten The day i visitied this place, i didn't know how to enter the Keraton, so i just followed the kids to climb over the wall and take photos on the top. The place is good to walk or just chillin with your friends. I reccommend you to come here in the morning (around 6 to 9am) or before the sun sets.

It's a great place to understand the history of Banten and the the palace where the sultans of Banten resided. While the layout and some walls are still visible, most of the buildings are gone, possibly because these were constructed with plant materials.
