(Translated by Google) There is a fortress, Doksanseong Fortress, built during the Baekje period that overlooks the Osan area at a glance, and there is a temple called Bojeoksa within the fortress. As a branch temple of the Jogye Order, I often climb the mountain to see the open view rather than to the temple. It's not that steep so it's good for hiking. There is a dirt road leading to the temple near the summit, so it is also accessible by car. Bojeoksa Temple is believed to have been founded during the Baekje period, and the current main hall is said to have been rebuilt in 1978. (Translated by Google) A Buddhist temple located inside the east gate of Doksanseong Fortress, an old castle in Baekje. It is a small and compact temple, and consists of the main hall, a pagoda built on the precincts in front of it, and two to three auxiliary buildings. The name Bojeoksa Temple came about during the Baekje era, when an elderly couple who had trouble even eating their own meals found that they had only two dozen rice left and were on the verge of starvation. They decided that they would rather offer it to Buddha than live in misery. After making the offering, they returned home and found a grain bin. It is said that there is a legend that a miracle occurred when the area was filled with rice. In other words, it is said that it was named Bojeoksa Temple because it was a temple with magical powers where treasures were accumulated through diligent offerings. There is a small parking lot right below the east gate, the entrance to Bojeoksa Temple, so you can easily get there by car. From the temple, you can see the panoramic view of Dongtan New Town from afar, and it is known as a great place to watch the sunset.

Mulhyanggi Arboretum is a spacious and family-friendly park that offers ample opportunities for exploration. The park features numerous areas where visitors can enjoy a picnic with their loved ones, complete with shady spots to relax under. It's important to note that there are no food or beverage options inside the arboretum, so guests should bring their own provisions. Access to the park is easy from Osan College Station and admission prices are affordable for families.
It's always nice to walk around. It's quiet during the weekdays. Nice to have a picnic when the weather is warm. The entrance fee is 1500 won.

Great place to walk around with the family and explore. They have many areas available to enjoy a picnic with your family. Make sure you bring your own food and beverages as there are no restaurants inside the park. It is at walking distance from the Osan College Station and entrance for 2 adults and 1 child was undee $4.00.

It was an arboretum close to Osan university station. The price of admission was low and the arboretum was a good place for a walk but there was nothing to see than I thought due to the coronavirus. However, there were many people who spread a mat and lay down.

Its beautifully maintained and has many different parks like wetlands, pine trees, fruit trees, bonsais. There is a big glass house with many plants and a stream where you can sit and enjoy picnic lunch. There is no charge for children below 6 years age. The fare for adults is 1500 KRW.

Visited Mulhyanggi Arboretum in the first week of November. Would recommend to people in the area. The timing was just right that most of the leaves had changed color but were still on the trees. Some trees still had small sections of green mixed with their fall colors. Got very lucky on our timing. The park was clean and very well maintained. There are a couple public restrooms- cleaner than I have ever seen in a park in America. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what we paid. I know it was inexpensive. We drove a car there. There was a fee to park (I think it was 10,000 won). And there was a fee to enter the park (maybe 3,000 won per adult). Overall prices were nominal. Two things to note- double check the park's closing time before going. The google listing was off by an hour and we showed up at closing time the first time we tried to visit. Second, as an American I am used to recycling bins and trash cans everywhere. I was surprised to see that public trash cans are somewhat hard to find in Korea. That in mind, dont expect to find them in this park either. So plan on taking out whatever you bring in- not a big deal just something different.

This is a 3-star hotel. Not a 4-star hotel. At least that’s what they tell me at the front desk. The rooms are ok. But service is bad. Breakfast is very limited, no room service possibilities and even asking for a simple coffee while waiting in the lobby is impossible. The people at the front desk aren’t very friendly either.
Johan De Greeve — Google review
Hotel is somewhat old because of old facility and furniture. I see lots of things to repair. Sometimes towels are snagged with some slight odor.

Very comfortable hotel. Rooms are clean and modern. The hotel staff is super helpful. I've stayed there many times and my only complaint is that the shower design is bad as water always leaks out all over the bathroom floor when you shower. It's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying. Another annoyance that I've found in Korea and is not unique to Shilla Stay is the the elevators are really slow... When it is busy, sometimes you can wait for like 5-10 mins for an elevator. Keep that in mind if you are staying there and need to leave on a schedule!

Shilla stay is good hotel to stay, they good rooms and ambience, well maintenance by hotel. Good service, they will book a cab for you, if you are going for office. Few things they can work on is to provide continental foods for foreigners as food menu was same almost for a month and provide mats for bathrooms as they are very slippery.

Whenever I am on business trip around the area, this is my goto hotel. Conveniently located with plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. Friendly staff and very good service.
Kejia Wu — Google review
This hotel tries to be chic, but it clearly isn't. Biggest issue: They heat like crazy in winter. So if you like to sleep at 25-26 °C (measured with own thermometer), this is the place to be. There's no option to adjust the room temperature in winter (actually you can push some buttons, but they just have a - minor - effect on the fan speed). The rooms don't have windows that could be opened. I complained at the reception three times (and so did my colleagues who stayed at the same hotel on different floors at that time). They apologize and that's it, absolutely no change regarding the situation. In summertime, you can adjust the AC. The fridge is turned off when the key card is removed from the slot (the cleaning staff always removes it in case you put your second card there). What a brilliant system! Breakfast: Acceptable, but not great...No real bread, selection of two kinds of "cheese". The staff announces to kick you out 15 min before breakfast ends officially. You can set your watch according to that. Elevators: Three elevators for this huge building - annoying waiting times. This is a general thing in Korea, locals probably won't notice. Noise: The ventilation system (which provides you with nice hot air!) is rather noisy and you will hear noises of any kind coming from other rooms / the corridor frequently. Gym: Ok! Laundry room: They have two new washing machines (in March 23), but they start smelling like the old ones (that were there in September 22), probably because they are never run at high temperature and the lids are always closed after use (when the inside is still wet). It is nice to have the option to use them, though. Bed: Too hard for my taste. Rooms: Furniture has some signs of wear, the "shower room" is huge. There is no proper space for storing clothes, though. Cleanliness: Ok, improved after my first stay in Sept 22 (now: March 23). Towels are not smelly anymore. Apart from that: Koreans have a face mask fetish...So if you're fed up with all the shortcomings of this hotel, look at the staff and try to laugh about the situation since the front desk won't improve it anyways.

Mainly stayed here for the bed and the view. Very satisfied. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was kept at a comfortable temperature. Road noise is standard but the area is quiet enough in the evening. There’s some wear and tear in the room. Nothing dealbreaking but I just expected more from Shilla. Equipment is fine but not the most up to date or modern. I’m ok with this considering the price and location but bring extra adapters as there are no usb charging ports.
