The staff provides friendly and courteous service, with the waiter being particularly attentive. Visitors to this hotel can also enjoy the local attractions such as the museum of glazed chestnuts, which is unique to the area. The restaurant stands out for its delicious desserts, as well as its tasty omelettes and fresh vegetables.
Our visit in collobrieres we had a beautiful moment in this restaurant, our lunch was delicious.😋 The restaurant team was amazing. Ahsante sana. Don’t miss this delicious food when you visit this area. From Tanzanian. 🇹🇿

Really nice restaurant and hostel. Don't miss the local beer ,ice cream and wine. Good meals and hospitable staff. A real french tavern

We stayed for one night during a road trip in the region and would highly recommend! The hotel also seems to be the village bar and has a great restaurant. It seems to be a nice local family business, which makes a nice change from the big chain hotels. We had a comfortable and spacious family room, friendly check in and service. The restaurant with half board was excellent, hearty local meals served with style - one of the best meals we had in a while and fantastic value.

It was a ramdom booking for us during our trip from Turin to Marseille. We were impressed, the town was very cute and we love the hotel. Good rooms, tasty food, great staff and their local wine. Everything was very good, prices are very reasonable. Hope to visit soon again.

Reservations strongly suggested, there are only a hand full of restaurants in Collobrieres, and Restaurant Hotel Des Maures on the river, would be the most popular of all. And there is a good reason for that! The food is regional, traditional, unpretentious but delicious. You have a la carte, daily specials, and fix menus at 22 and 27.50 Euros. The selection of dishes is limited but plenty sufficient and all of them very appealing. We went for the mushrooms omelette and a home made pissaladiere, both were serve with a delicious mustard vinaigrette salad, an extraordinary thing, since there is a huge shortage of Dijon mustard all over Europe. Main dishs, we choosed a confided pork shank with herb roasted potatoes a provencale tomato, and a chestnut red wine wild boar stew, served with creamy potato au gratin and provencale tomato. We also got a bottle of local rose wine, same as the menu, the wine list is limited but very well priced. My desert was included on my fix menu, and I couldn't pass the local chestnut cream and ice cream Sundae. Don't forget, Collobrieres is a touristic destination, everyone is on vacation and the service is paced accordingly. Overall a great discovery, will return to try the rest of the menu. One small detail that could be worked on, the bathroom suffered of it's popularity, minor repairs in the men's room and on one of beautiful sinks.

Nice clean hotel, limited check in time, not posible to heat up the room (it’s 7 degrees outside) and it would be nice to have more pillows… can’t ask for any of this things coz there is no receptionist after 8pm and the staff at the restaurant doesn’t speak English. Great food at the restaurant and overall a great experience

Superb ! Everything about this hotel restaurant deserves five stars. It has been renovated with impeccable taste. Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms, fabulous modern shower rooms. Silent and very effective air-conditioning that was very much appreciated. All the staff were friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was copious with seasonal fruits, pastries, yoghurt etc. The evening meal in the restaurant was simply amazing. In every way it was an unforgettable experience, which would have probably cost a great deal more elsewhere. We were so impressed, we will be inviting friends to join us next time.

Such an amazing restaurant. We have enjoyed several very special meals during our stay, but nothing could top the exceptional Bouillabaisse we enjoyed last evening. The preparation effort was evident. Creating an amazing culinary experience for eight is just incredible. One of life's incredible culinary experiences. Magnifique.

My Dad and I stayed a night in this wonderful, new hotel while travelling through France by bike. What a special experience we had staying in this hotel, from the minute we reached Collobrières to the very moment we left! We arrived in the afternoon under a poring rain, meaning we were soaking wet! We had not even got off our bikes that the gentlemen in charge (the owner I believe) came outside and opened his garage for us to allow us to safely store our bikes. When entering the hotel, he immediately accompanied us to our room and helped me with my bike bags. My Dad asked him whether he needed our IDs for check-in and the gentleman said “take a shower first and I will check you in later”… Extremely kind and understanding! Thoughtful gestures that are stored among our most beautiful memories from our bike trip through France! We had a tea while watching the World Cup 2022 together with the locals, the atmosphere was just amazing! We also had dinner… it was exquisite to say the least! From starter to dessert, everything was delicious! And breakfast as well, jams were home made… Absolutely tasty! And the village, Collobrières, is such a gem, it feels and looks like it has come straight out of a fairy tale!! Magical! Thank you to the staff at Des Maures, your kindness and great service is something we will cherish forever together with the great memories we have collected by bike travelling in your beautiful country! Thank you thank you and thank you, we really hope to visit you again! ☺️🚲

We love the place, the food and the people. We stayed in July 2019 and has such an amazing time! The rooms are freshly renovated, modern and clean. The restaurant offers a great choice, all delicious and the service is friendly and very attentive. We were catched by the atmosphere. We wanted to return this august 2020 but the hotel was fully booked . However the owner - despite being in a rush time at dinner - helped us to find a place to stay. Wow! He could not be more hospitable and are so grateful to offer his time to help. We enjoyed our dinners on the lovely terrace above the river - it is a fairy settings! We 've already booked our 3rd stay and we are very much looking forward to it. Thank you so much for your truly amazing hospitality!

After a three-year absence, I can confirm that La Petite Fontaine's current team has created a delectable menu that pays homage to Etienne's previous offerings. The dishes are truly scrumptious, the options vast, and the ambiance welcoming and friendly. This establishment is not merely a tourist spot; it attracts locals as well. I highly recommend sitting on the terrace beneath a tree and indulging in their delightful Provençal cuisine, particularly their exceptional anchoiade.
Exceptionally tasty food in a delightful corner of town. Wholesome, hearty and *highly* recommended. Go with an empty belly! Leave happy.

After 24 years of visiting this restaurant every time I am in the south of France, today is the last time. Since they renovationed the restaurant and changed management the food and service are very poor. I would come away completely full, but today I was still hungry. The portion sizes are half of what they were! It is sad that it has changed so dramatically. Good bye old friend.

Sadly a great disappointment in the Service Level. Under New Management is accepted along with changes to the menu. However, what had been clearly overlooked was staff experience/training in service delivery. This was the main error during todays Sunday lunchtime. We were the first people to arrive to what was an empty restaurant so we were able to place our order relatively quickly and received our drinks once the waitress got the Manager to take our order. However for a three course meal it took almost 3 hours to complete. We were not alone in this experience. We noted a number of tables waiting well over 45 minutes to either place their order and a 60 minutes or more to receive any food in front of them. (Missing was an immediate presentation of bread or olives for example) with drinks while they waited for the entrees. Meanwhile the restaurant started filling up fast to the point that people who were not reserved were turned away. One group of 6 people waited over 50 minutes to even place their order. Others waiting to get attention. The young waitress who was unable to take our order for drinks originally seem to keep a low profile and became the server only, passing people after delivering food to a table, then passing and ignoring other customers vying for attention as she headed back to the kitchen. Others were not so lucky and comments overheard including we still have 3 more courses to come after a 40min wait. Not clearing tables a head of bringing the subsequent main course. Not being generally attentive to anyone even when you hold a bread basket up for attention. Therefore overall experience was poor. The food was okay but not amazing.

Doeltreffend! (Translated by Google) A typical underdog. With plastic chairs and small parasols you might not expect too much, but the bigger the surprise when you taste what comes out of the kitchen! Nice dishes with delicious flavors. Don't expect any fuss, but dishes with plenty of well-prepared meat, fish and vegetables. Effective!

La Terrasse Provençale is a restaurant with a welcoming staff and a pleasant dining experience. The foie gras is creamy and rich, served with delicious toast. The tuna is fresh and tender, complemented by refreshing citrus flavors. The lamb shank is flavorful and easily falls off the bone. While the courgette terrine may not be to everyone's liking, it receives praise from some diners.
Very friendly staff, we had a great experience eating here. The foie gras was smooth and deeply flavoured, which came with good toast. The tuna was fresh and soft, with some nice citrus. The lamb shank came right of the bone and was delicious. I personally didn't like the courgette terrine it came with, but my mom loved it. I really liked the local chestnut-cream tiramisu and the chocolate mousse was absolutely heavenly! And pretty much everything is homemade.

During the meal, the waiter also took several plates from the table while we were still eating. The different courses also came far too quickly after each other, there was perhaps a minute between them sometimes. The dessert was completely homemade and very tasty.

My wife and I discovered this retreat some 10 years ago. When ever we are in the South of France we make a visit to see Carole the owner for a leisurely lunch - sometime 3 hours! A wonderful host. Excellent food although a somewhat restricted menu served by freindly staff.

It's a lovely location but the food was bland, the entrecote was chewy and the mash potato watery.

Excellent restaurant in a very nice and cozy setting, in a small square covered by trees. The magret de canard with porcini mushroom sauce was delicious, as well as the chestnut tiramisu. Collobrières is a beautiful little village, but the road to get there from the East is awful. The approach from the west is supposedly easier.

Fantastische ervaring! What a pleasant surprise! The Restaurant Bar de la Mairie welcomes its guests with joy and cheerfulness. Their service is filled with humor that never runs dry. This establishment is a delight for enthusiasts of traditional and genuine cuisine. One can indulge in their exceptional homemade "Aioli", which brings comfort and satisfaction. The restaurant is highly regarded and will definitely remain on our list of favorites.
Efficient and friendly when serving coffee to cyclists. Separate tap to refill water bottles and one is allowed to pay digitally for a coffee (so no stupid limit of 10€). Excellent spot for a pitstop.
